  2. This is what we got? It looks boring AF! And honestly... it could still air on NBC, which is not what we want for a streaming soap. Here is hoping the interim writing is heaps better than the crap Carlivati continues to shove down our throats... and enough with bringing former cast members back in new roles. It's cheap and tacky. Cannot wait for Decker's material as co-EP to begin airing!!!!! And burning down the Horton home? I'd have more of an impact if, you know, HORTONS still existed within Salem. This is yawn-worthy.
  3. Danny: "How's Paul? How was the trip?" Christine: "Not good."
  4. Yes. Martha Byrne was cast in early 1985 (around March) and Douglas Marland did not begin his regime as head writer until September 1985. I'm just saddened Byrne & Marland did not get the reunion they wanted each each other, due to his passing prior to her beginning to film. It's clear he wanted her back for us, and did what needed to be done.
  5. I agree; she definitely began to open up by the mid-to-end of the season, and I love her. I'd love to see her back next season. Same could be said for someone else.
  6. To me, Carrington Garland did so much more for the role of Kelly Capwell than Robin Wright would have been if she remained in the role. She is, by far, my favourite Kelly Capwell.
  7. I know Andy said on Radio Andy that he's hopeful Jenna returns, but that her girlfriend is camera-shy, so that could pose a problem. I think she'll come back, though. I have faith.
  8. Not surprised; he was made into Liam 2.0 from the moment the Spencer connection was made.
  9. I am up to Friday, September 15... and while production value has definitely improved from the green/blue days... it still feels a bit cheap-looking, especially with the sets, the costume, and the over-all acting.
  10. deleted.
  11. Automatic chemistry! You can't make that chemistry now-a-days!
  12. Rena Sofer is magic as Lois. I am hoping they somehow convince her to stick around for the long-term. Hell, six-months even! I hope Ava chokes Mason with those lollipops he loves so much. How dare he tell our Queen to shut up! Dante's chesticles are popping OUT of that button-down. Woo. Carly & Drew are INSUFFERABLE! Send them both back to Pentonville, along with their accomplice, Michael Corinthos. Ava's face said it all. That face says "I'm going to murder you one way or another, b*tch!" I love the inclusion of the Lois' backstory.. with and without the use of flashback clips. Amazing. And she ain't buying what Eddie is trying to sell, haha. I love it. Ugh... why am I liking Jeremy & Tracy? I don't want to like them, but I am beginning to! For a Disney-owned company, this soap LOVES violence against women, doesn't it? I am getting rape vibes from Mason to teach Ava a lesson. And I hate saying that. I hope I am wrong. How the [!@#$%^&*] is Dex going to be the one to kill Mason?! C'mon now... stop allowing these men to be the saviours!! Let women be their own saviours!! Schnookery? I need this word in my vocabulary immediately!! Love that Lois is calling out the bull of Eddie's personality right now. C'mon Ava, take the damn shot... a two-for-one. Dex & Mason at the same time! Do it, darling! OH S**T! NO F**KING WAY! Not what I was expecting to happen! Lois vs. Tracy! This is going to be [!@#$%^&*] good. Jane Elliot's last chemistry with Lois was with Lesli Kay... and was not the same as this. Dante... you had one f**king job... and you didn't do it. Allow Ava to do the job that she should have been able to do since day one.
  13. It tracks; last season was fourteen episodes, and then the 15th and 16th episodes were the reunion, and the seventh episode of the season airs tonight, and won't air again until Halloween.
  14. Far from it. Not especially when so much New Jersey housewives exist.
  15. Heather Rattray did well in the role, but her Lily was very different than that of Martha Byrne. The ultimate problem was she did not share the right chemistry with Jon Hensley's Holden that Byrne did. And Noelle Beck was a horrid Lily, and her casting was insulting. I don't blame her. I blame Chris Goutman. The fact we did a dieting pill storyline involving Byrne and then go and cast Beck, who clearly did not embody that kind of previous storyline, left a major sour taste in my mouth.
  16. Jane Elliot's Tracy & Rena Sofer's Lois in 1996 (Lois pregnant with Brook Lynn): Lesli Kay's Lois in 2004 (death of Lila):
  17. I assume, much like Emma Samms' original return last year, it is a 30-day guarantee, since she is still filming as of last week. They'll be gone but their images will remain for several months and, they won't be paid for it, much like Jacob Young admits he was not.
  18. Newly single? So Christine & Paul are divorcing... good.
  19. I agree with all of this. I'm really enjoying the revival, though. They're doing it right, and I know as we get into November and December, it'll pick up more.
