  1. His bit part in the NLG drama is why I am still not convinced but hey, I don't know him personally so I would like nothing more than for it to be true. Lord knows the GH set needs a lot fewer a**h***s.
  2. I think the key here is Wendy, not Giz and I didn't know how to make that point in a way that didn't turn into a defense of Giz instead of a point about Wendy. Which was SELF CRITICISM on my part since that's clearly what happened in my earlier clumsy attempts to explain how I felt about Karen. So I was appreciative and admirative of Liberty City managing to say it much better than I would have. Point is: whatever Gizelle's motives are, I think Wendy's reaction and overall changes tell me she is on to something.
  3. I agree with Vee. She looks lovely here. Older of course but a beautiful grandmother. There are SO many actresses I wish would understand, as they age, how much their vanity is getting in the way of their natural beauty.
  4. Thank you, thank you. That's how I have been feeling this whole time. I didn't know how to couch it in a way that didn't play into the Gizelle wars but that was the takeaway from me too. First considering how much the ladies have talked about Michael and the rumors about him, the pearl-clutching over the Eddie rumors amuse me (I am not naming names but someone is being a bit hypocritical here). But more to the point the Wendy rage feels way overboard to me AND has a bit of a Barbra Streisand effect to it. Would we have heard about it if she hadn't brought it up? She is smart enough to know that so why go there if she isn't defensive about something? And btw it having a hint of truth to it would jive with her change of behavior and how she dresses if you think about it.
  5. Yeah that distinction about how he behaves on-set (although he wasn't liked on the YR set) vs who he is. My point, which is admittedly not coming from a direct experience but nevertheless stands, I think, is that he might indeed be a lot nicer to his co-stars and yet still be an a** as a lot of things he has said and done publicly or to fans have proven over the years (and that's before we even get to his beliefs). So I was trying to say I wish they would recognize the fact he is better to *them* does not necessarily mean he has changed.
  6. I mean, I have to credit MB a lot for saying it explicitly. I wish they would realize there is a direct line between what he was and what he still is though, even if he doesn't direct his awfulness at them anymore.
  7. There was talk (on the YR classics thread I think) of how much we complain about one era until it looks much better in hindsight considering the downward trajectory of the show and while I too resented the Fisher invasion, I would take those days ANY DAY over what we have now. Those characters had life and definition and most of them were good actors (JC can be up and down but she sold some stuff). And things were *happening* and made sense most of the time and involved many characters. I wouldn't defend it as a good era but, man, compared to today's appalling state of affairs...
  8. Regarding the argument that we don't know for sure whether liking this post means they are anti-vaxxx. Sure, I can see scenarios where some ppl may have liked it for other reasons - my personal speculation being about being "supportive of a colleague" since he was complaining about fan campaign to get him fired. But in any case if you decided to publicly "like" a video full of disinformation, regardless of your reasons, you are at very least enabling a campaign that endangers you and your colleagues. And as far as I am concerned, the burden is now on YOU to prove to us you are not anti-vaxxx. They chose to be supportive of his hateful behavior; it is fair for us to make assumptions now. There is no possible scenario in which a friend or a family member posting what IR has posted would get a like from me, regardless of my feelings about them. Liking it is giving your support. So no sympathy from me even if they are actually vaccinated. "I am vaccinated but..." doesn't cut it anymore. If in practice you are enabling anti-vax craziness (and that includes the "But I am against vaccine passes" thing) you are functionally an ally of those who are prolonging this nightmare. They used social media enough to like IR's post. Nothing prevents them from using it to encourage fans to get vaccinated or talk about their own vaccination status if they don't want us to be misled into thinking their like is anti-vaxxx support. I can accept complete silence. But the minute they got off the fence ever so slightly, they opened themselves to legitimate questions and until further notice, that was anti-vaxxx support as far as I am concerned. Enough finding excuses for everybody. We are on track to lose three quarter of a million fellow Americans to the disease, not to mention those dying of other things because hospital beds are taken by unvaccinated idiots. Anything short of doing all in our power to stop this tragedy is enabling it and I am going to judge actors whose work I like the same I would anyone else.
  9. We don't know anything for sure. But I'd suggest AS has enough sources (since he knew about the mandate) that if he hints at somebody we can take it at face value. AND based on the divisions of American society, there is NO WAY Ingo is the only one. If it had been all this would have been solved a long time ago and NLG probably wouldn't have had to complain publicly. So no we don't know anything for sure. But liking IR's video was HUUUUUUGE tell and the burden is now on them to tell us they are vaccinated. Otherwise I am going to draw conclusions from that choice they made to listen to this torrent of nonsense and hit like.
  10. Great news. All the more since, while a lot may cave (I am not as optimistic as Alan but hope I am wrong), IR has gone WAY too out on that limb to be able back out now. Confirming for me what many of us suspected: that the video was intending to set up his next step as he knew this was coming. EDIT: Interesting to read the replies. Seems on top of IR and Coloma, which we knew, Brando and Chad Duell are part of that brigade too. Is it just me or does GH have a serious problem with toxic masculinity?
  11. Thank you. You rock. Can't believe I missed it.
  12. I really think the problem is not what they can't do to *him*. He is expandable. They can fine him or fire him and few people would shed a tear. They'd have plenty of options if it was one or two bad apples. The problem they have is if, say, a quarter or a third of the cast (and bluntly put, I am convinced the numbers are probably even higher) refuse to get vaccinated, including some "unfirable" headliners, it is almost impossible for them to enforce this without destroying the show or at least really doing harm to it in the short term. They can't fire that many people and fining them would lead to some later departures they are - rightly or wrongly - desperate to avoid. Legally, they probably could do it but trying to enforce this on that many people would probably escalate it to something unmanageable behind-the-scenes and creatively. I WANT them to get tough and courageous and realize the show will be fine even without Steve Burton and Lord Knows Who Else. But I also can see why it is such a tough call to make from the pov of producers trying to balance various interests. Edit: And btw we are talking about GH because on both sides NLG and IR are the most vocal in favor of their position but this applies to all shows. Look at Jacqueline Woods liking IR's post. I imagine B&B producers wouldn't dare impose a vaccine mandate if their leading lady is refusing to get a vaccine.
  13. Whaaaaaat? How did I miss that? Googling it right now!
  14. Obviously I'd watch the hell out of all the names you mention but Cali Timmins sure would be an amazing get. She has never really discussed her soap past once she was let go from AW and moved on from acting, has she?
  15. It might have been a family member of someone from the show who was visiting the set and got a fun freebie "getting" to appear as a background extra.
  16. I think Esme might an Amanda Young kind of situation which is random and fun - the psycho being outpsychoed - but I am not against a backstory.
  17. Some people are "Let's all get along" type of people who want to be friendly with everybody and supportive of their colleagues. I personally think never taking a stand on anything is enabling bad people but I suspect that's what JG might be. She worked with IR, likes him, saw him being attacked by fans and wants to be supportive by liking his "I have a right to believe what I believe" post. I think letting people like that get away with their selfishness in the name of getting along with everybody is cowardly but it doesn't have to come from a bad place. JG gives me that vibe of being very friendly with everybody but not necessarily overthinking things she should. I don't know JMW's real personality much but I can see her being a bit in her privilege as a wealthy gorgeous white woman. Follow the dots from that starting point. I'll leave it at that since I have no facts to offer but while I am disappointed, I would not be entirely surprised.
  18. I agree Robin Christopher wasn't a good match as Lorna but I strongly object to the notion she is overrated. She is a great actress and has done fantastic work over her long career. She'd be a great get for a lot more than just her work on AW.
  19. Saw that last night and for a minute there I had a worry. Thank god EB is fine but I am not sure why Victor is trending all of a sudden!
  20. I had the same thought when I first saw the video. It seems to me he is setting himself up to be a martyr for "conservative" free speech which is a pretty popular grift on the right. If he is going to lose his job, his backup will be touring the conservative circuit to whie about free speech and intolerant Hollywood liberals. The Antonio Sabato/Scott Baio/Stacy Dash special if you will. Maybe he hasn't been fired and this is just his way to pressure them not to do it. But either way he didn't need to double down with a video. There is an agenda there. But they should have fired Ingo when he publicly insulted NLG repeatedly. So the tough spot they are in now - because I am quite certain the reason they are not imposing a mandate and therefore not firing people is because some of the unvaccinated are "unfirable" - is entirely on them. The signs were there that it would get to this. They should have excise the disease out when it would have been fairly easy. Now it is going to be PR-costly one way or another.
  21. It is indeed clever that Hayes is her in. But my issue is: and then... what? You know what I mean? They are not telling us what her endgame is - even just in her head. Is she trying to get revenge on them? Or is she still trying to be "accepted" as part of them? It looks like she is making it up as she goes along which goes against her earlier iterations where she had a goal and every scheme was intended to build up to that goal OR hide a previous scheme to protect the ultimate goal. Because I try to give the benefit of the doubt to every story while it is starting, I am not going to assume it is not going to become clearer later - maybe it will! - but based on her previous returns and the way she is written so far, I am not optimistic.
  22. What frustrates me with Sheila in her 2000-2021 iterations is that I have no idea what she is about. During her first run on Y&R and then on B&B her motives and thoroughline were clear at all time. We knew what she wanted/was seeking and everything "evil" flowed from that. Since then it is always extremely unclear what she wants. They are relying on a vague sense of menace without giving us any character beat and I find that a bit tedious
