Days of Our Lives: April 2022 Discussion Thread
It's f'd up how they're writing Belle. It's pretty normal for a rape victim to be unable to talk about it. I'm too upset to type more.

The Politics Thread
For those unfamiliar with the abbreviation: ACA "Affordable Healthcare Act" which was once nicknamed "Obamacare". t's a federal program distributed to the individual states of the USA, and it is implemented differently in each state per the politics of each state. The original goal was healthcare for all, but they started with helping certain groups. I would not be alive if it weren't for the ACA. Simple as that. I fully support expanding it so that everyone gets coverage.

B&B April 2022 Discussion Thread
I have loathed the character Sheila ever since she stole baby Scotty from Lauren on Y&R and all the evil things she did to cover it up. And all the crap she's done to Lauren through the years. t boggles my mind that anyone would find Sheila sympathetic in any way. I know it's not logical for me to feel that way, because these are fictional characters and it's completely normal for everyone to have a wide variety of tastes, and the right to express their preferences, and this is a discussion board for discussing all those tastes/opinions. So yeah I understand rationally that everyone would have differing opinions about Sheila, of course. But my loathing for Sheila is so strong that it's hard for me to feel detached from the situation. She has done too much evil on both soaps for so long, and I feel there is absolutely nothing good about her, not even the tiniest good thing. I pretty much tuned out of all of B&B when Sheila returned. I became interested only recently because I hoped that "the big twist" would include Sheila getting caught and banished to prison - or preferably dying. I wanted this evil villain to pay. I still can't bear to watch her scenes. She's just gross to me. I keep hoping to read a recap where the villain gets her due, so I can watch *those* scenes. I did watch the shooting scene because it was supposed to be the big twist. I swear if she gets away with any of this, well then bye again to B&B.

The version on the StarTrek twitter handle has the option for English subtitles. YAY. The version on the StarTrekOnPPlus twitter handle does not. Nor does the paramount plus youtube version.- Star Trek: Picard

JMW's instagram of March 11 said she was at 30 weeks of her pregnancy. So if she gives birth at 39 weeks, that would be May 13? I had assumed that Steffy would be in a coma or in Paris, or whatever, during her maternity leave. But she says at the beginning of this video "I'm basically filming ... like ... right up until I give birth." So will the Steffy character be up and moving around soon? Or is JMW filming stuff to air while she's on maternity leave? https://etcanada.com/video/eacbbc0c-b4fb-11ec-bbeb-0242ac110005/jacqueline-macinnes-wood-on-baby-no-3/- ARTICLE: CBS Lineup to Be Preempted Again for More ‘UEFA Champions League’ Games
We know that CBSSports and CBS soaps can talk to each other. They did it better when there was a "CBS Daytime" division at CBS, which doesn't exist anymore. But even now they still do cross-promotions. They just had B&B and Y&R actors promoting March Madness basketball. They could have done a similar thing with the CBS soap actors promoting soccer coverage, with a mention that the soaps can always be viewed online.- ALL: Soap Stars - Where are they now?
I was glad to see Eileen Davidson congratulating Abhi Sinha (see the above-posted screengrab of his instagram). I thought they worked well together on Y&R.- ARTICLE: CBS Lineup to Be Preempted Again for More ‘UEFA Champions League’ Games
My above posts quote tweets from "CBSSportsGang" which is the twitter of CBS Sports PR, and from "CBSSportsGolazo" which is the name of the CBS soccer pregame/postmatch analysis show. Can you find out if they are preempting for the semifinals, too? -------------- B&B supervising producer Casey Kasprzyck tweeting post from @Errol I wonder when he learned of this?- The Politics Thread

The whole coma dream speculation makes sense and I'd understand a "do-over". Why did they invest so much energy in the inanity of three months of Brooke's angst about drinking on New Years - I'd be happy to see all that erased - but why did they bother with it?- DOOL: Spoilers, 11-15 April
Yeah Chandler said in March SOD interview: "When you just come in every now and then, obviously, for logistical reasons, you can’t really be the center or integral part of a big storyline. I don’t get the meaty stuff that I used to get, but it’s still fun to see everybody and pop in" https://www.soapoperadigest.com/content/chandler-massey-on-his-return-to-days/- REPORT: B&B: Star Out!

Tanner Novlan recently posted a new Liberty Biberty commercial on his instagram. I mean he could have done it for the money as everyone has bills to pay. But I kind of wondered if he was at B&B anymore.- Y&R and B&B April (and late March) spoilers

If everything since the motorcycle accident was Steffy's coma dream, then then when she wakes up, they could say that Taylor has been in town ever since Steffy went into the coma, waiting for her to wake up. That's better than Taylor having missed important chunks of Steffy's life. They could have planned the coma all along but wanted to have the audience feel K.A. as Taylor for a few months first. So that when Steffy wakes up and recognizes her mother Taylor, it won't seem weird that to the viewers that she recognizes her. They could say Steffy's motorcycle accident coma has been going on for whatever length of time they want. Maybe the accident just happened and nobody including the children have aged in the past two years. Maybe the accident happened two years ago. That would mean that whatever has been happening to the Forrester/Spencer/Logan families during that time - is different from what we've been watching onscreen. Or parts the same and parts different. But then again, I'm not convinced that Steffy's coma dream is the twist. Maybe it is, maybe it isn't.- Y&R and B&B April (and late March) spoilers
