  1. Agree on all points. Seattle Times does a lot of service. I will reconsider having myself allow ads for their site. They covered COVID-19 in depth daily since January 2020 before anyone else (because the first US cases were noticed near Seattle) (Of course we now know COVID was in New York in autumn 2019 but nobody knew that back then). NYTimes *used to be* "all the news that's fit to print" but hasn't been that for a very very long time. And yeah WAPO being part of the amazon conglomerate, enough said. And not paying their employees enough.
  2. A lot of Days is not worth watching. But this episode (June 21) of Days is worth watching because it has a wedding and the history of Juneteenth in it.
  3. Since 2015, DAYS has had national preemptions *only* for sports and presidential inaugurations (if you count the November dog show as "sports" ) . Jason's stats: https://www.jason47.com/days/preemptions.html In contrast. GH calls preemptions for many news events. CBS preempts a moderate amount of time. B&B preempts more often than Y&R because B&B is a 30-minute show, so it's easier for a news event to override most of the episode. For CBS, it also depends on the timeslot. On June 13, when the hearing was at 10:00 am EDT, Y&R was preempted but B&B aired. On June 16, when the hearing was at 1:00 pm EDT, B&B was preempted but Y&R aired. (Actually on June 16, most of the US didn't see Y&R, but the hearing overrode only half of the Y&R episode in the Eastern timezone, so Y&R considered it "aired" and posted the episode online, and then aired a new episode the following day)
  4. Per SOD, in this same episode, Ken Hanes reappears as Mike Guthrie. I wonder if he assists with causing Li to crash?
  5. I've been reading the Seattle TImes with an adblocker for years. No subscription. No limit in number of views. Oh and that's another tip .. Seattle Times reprints articles for free from New York Times, Washington Post, Reuters, etc. If there's something on one of those other news sites, I just input the name of the article or a few key words and find it the same thing on seattletimes.com It might be a few hours later or the next day, but it's there. If I think the *original* article has since been updated, I got back to the original newspaper to find the updated version.
  6. I don't want independent newspapers to go out of business, so I buy subscriptions when I can afford to. Sometimes it's a single article for a publication I wouldn't normally read, so I don't want to subscribe. Furthermore, some years I can barely afford rent and food, and I simply cannot afford ANY subscriptions. This is my simple workaround in such situations: Many newspapers allow a certain number of free articles within a specific time period (day, month, whatever). Or a certain number of free articles in your personal lifetime. After you have exceeded the allowed number of views, it asks for paid subscription. The simplest solution (for me) is to delete my cookies from that one news site, and then it immediately resets to zero and I can again see the specified number of free articles. Simple and easy. If that doesn't work, then I try what others have suggested above.
  7. Fyi, the YT might be US-visible only unless you have a VPN. Here is the end of the clip for those who can't see the YT
  8. here's the whole clip This airs Tuesday 21 June if there is no preemption. Otherwise it airs the next day.
  9. Here is the 2022 "Feel the Heat" joint promo for Y&R and B&B. It's on the official B&B facebook page, so should be internationally viewable: https://www.facebook.com/TheBoldandtheBeautiful/videos/970681153625722/
  10. Ari Zucker made some instagram posts in January 2022 that she was letting her dyed blond hair grow out to her natural darker color, and showed a pic of it mostly but not completely grown out; so she went to a hairdresser to get it all blended - "lowlighted, highlighted, and toned".
  11. June 1, 2022 behind-the-scenes pic from Christel Khalil's instagram https://www.instagram.com/p/CeRvhSqvKdb/
  12. Preview video of GH 15,000th episode Every weekend, GH uploads a "sneak peek" video clip of scenes from the upcoming Monday episode. It's available on abc.com's GH page as "latest clips". Also on hulu.com's GH page if you click on "extras". GH had assumed that the 15,000th episode would air Monday June 20th, so they uploaded a clip from the 15,000th. Then the June 16th preemption moved the 15,000th episode to the next airdate (June 21 or June 22). GH tried for a "do-over". GH intended to make a *new* clip for the episode that will air Monday June 2O, and they posted this description for it: "GH Sneak: Esme meets with Kevin in his office and says she could use his help getting into a prestigious psychology program at school. She wants to do a case study on Ryan Chamberlain. Will he give her what she wants?" GH uploaded that *description*... to abc.com and hulu.com That Esme/Kevin scene description really is a legit spoiler for Monday, June 20, 2022. But If you click on the link for the Esme/Kevin clip ... it's actually a clip with Laura, Kevin and friends for the 15,000th episode! It's here https://abc.com/shows/general-hospital/video/vdka28472397 and here https://www.hulu.com/watch/7131ade9-d6b3-4736-babf-54bd5e3b96fe Look for the picture of Esme, and click, and you'll see the video of Laura and friends. So there you have it: A typed Esme/Kevin spoiler for Monday June 20, and a video clip for the 15,000th episode which will air Tues June 21 or Wed June 22. PS. If you can't see the 15,000th video clip, or if it disappears, look here:
  13. I apologize for derailing this spoiler thread with pictures from the June 16 episode that already aired. But anyways. In that June 16 episode, Ashley and Victoria were in their New York hotel suite discussing what business ventures they wish to pursue in the future. They discussed starting their own company in New York. It will be completely independent of Newman-Locke stuff. A brand new venture. Victoria said she wants to have nothing to do with Newman and that their new company should not have the Newman name associated with it. She's going to be new and independent. Then they discussed starting a rival media company. (I know, I know, I'm tired of media company storylines, too. Sigh.) Victoria said "I would like to do something, then, more than just, you know, your standard media enterprise. I’d love to somehow be able to use my art background. You know, find a way to bring the fine arts into the digital age." Well okay that was something actually relevant to her character so I really like that. Week of June 20th spoiler: Victoria phones Nick and references in an off-hand way a few business meetings in New York City. She intentionally speaks in a way that Nick will figure out that she is starting a rival company. Victoria’s strategy is that she hopes that Nick will mention this to Victor. She wants Victor to know what she is up to. Victor will get upset, but this is part of some convoluted strategy. J.Griffith says something about how Victoria is playing chess and is thinking many chess moves ahead than Victor might expect. That scene in the "next week on Y&R" video - Nick asks Victor "Can I see you outside? I heard from Victoria" - that's this. Nick is about to tell Victor what Victoria is up to. Just as she hoped he would do. -------------------- My thoughts: How dumb. Why does JG think this is interesting? I would much rather see Victoria run an art business that stands on its own and is complete within itself. I am not interested in Victoria trying to start a business rivalry with Victor. Victoria is over 55 years old. She doesn't need to be thinking about her father. Sigh.
  14. @ltm1997 @Tonksadora The June 17, 2022 Ashley/Traci 40th anniversary episode is available on Paramount Plus until mid-Sept 2022, by subscription. https://www.paramountplus.com/shows/video/gAlEZFxqhuU4Q_ox_ojbUl3HUBsE8Hu5/ It is also available on CBS.com for free for a few days without subscription. https://www.cbs.com/shows/video/gAlEZFxqhuU4Q_ox_ojbUl3HUBsE8Hu5/ Both CBS and Paramount Plus labeled it as 6/17/2022 (S49 E181) In Canada you can see it on globaltv.com https://watch.globaltv.com/series/32666602/episode/GLOB0056649210000000 Labeled as June 16, 2022 because they get it one day ahead.
  15. Victoria out on the hotel room balcony looking down at the city. (also from the June 16 episode).
  16. The view of New York City from Victoria and Ashland's hotel balcony - can be seen from the open balcony door behind them.
  17. This is Ashland and Victoria's hotel suite in New York. (from the June 16 episode). It has an outdoor balcony.
  18. You could be right. I didn't recognize his sillouette from the back, but the hair color matches, with the same whiter sideburn area. But I cannot imagine Ashland wearing blue jeans. So I don't know. Maybe Ashland is wearing "dad jeans" for some time with Harrison?
  19. (I don't know who the man is, probably an extra.)
  20. My thoughts: The first thing I saw was the write-up and I was like what? Phyllis wants a truce? The way I read it, she sounds sincere. I was like what? Then I saw the accidentally-early-posted episode clip where Phyllis sounds so zen. Like she doesn't want that toxic anger anymore. I was like WHAT? Then I saw the "next week on Y&R" clip and I agreed with Diane that this is wild. Then finally I saw the promo! Okay then. That's the real Phyllis. This reminds me of that article previewing the week of April 4th when Phyllis and Jack meet with Diane in Los Angeles. Week of April 4th: "In 2002 when they were married, Phyllis could say to Jack that she didn't want that bitch living in their pool house. But she's not married to Jack now and the dynamics have changed. Plus she has to consider Kyle's feelings. Phyllis has a plan of how to get this woman out of their lives anyway. Instead of screaming and moaning about Diane being in town she will let her bury herself. Phyllis knows it's only a matter of time before Diane takes herself down." I remember reading all that months ago, and wondering who/what is this "more mature Phyllis" ? Is it a ruse? Finally now in June we learn yeah it's a ruse. Phyllis wants Diane gone. She's just going to be sneaky about it. There was something I read months ago about how there would be a Phyllis/Jack/Diane triangle but the rivalry would be *only* about their offspring, and *not* a romantic rivalry. Despite the Phyllis/Jack one-night-stand in May, I get that feeling that Phyllis doesn't really want Jack. She simply doesn't want Diane to have him. So she's faking this truce to get back on Jack's good side.
  21. Here is the "Next Week on Y&R" clip with tidbits for week of June 20. Chloe/Chelsea with Gloria! Victor/Nick Kyle/Diane/Jack Diane says "Phyllis has declared a truce with me. Wild, huh? ! " Imani/Amanda
  22. The Y&R youtube channel uploads a new short 2-minute or 3-minute clip daily. Each clip is from whatever episode airs in the US on that date. This clip seems to be two episodes early. This has not aired in the US yet. Nor was it in the Canadian day-ahead episode. (That YT channel is US only, so you'd probably have to watch on a VPN if you're outside the USA.) I think this will air Tues. 21 June in US, or Mon. 20 June in Canada (unless another preemption delays it). This is the scene where Phyllis has just arrived home from visiting Daniel and she tells Summer that she wants peace, and Summer says okay prove it and meet with Diane right now: EDIT -- well the clip was up for 48 hours ... And then the Y&R youtube channel finally caught their error and made it "private" to everyone, even in the USA. I think will become viewable again on Tues. June 21 or Wed. June 22.
