No. The whole point of these June hearings is to get the truth out to the general public who don't usually watch the news. These hearings need to be on the regular networks and not just cable.- YR summer preview
Thank you for posting about the postponement. To be fair, it's not "technical issues" in the way we usually think of that. What's happening is that there is a huge volume of video testimonies to splice together for the presentations. The committee member who announced the postponement said the video technical staff needed more time to prepare the video presentation. So it's not a problem with technology. It's a difficulty with the large volume of material to prepare in a short amount of time, by a limited amount of human staffers. The committee learns new information and deposition testimonies etc on an ongoing basis, so there is always more to add to the presentations. Revised hearings schedule: - Wednesday, June 15 - postponed to date/time TBA. -(definite) Thursday, June 16 at 1:00 p.m. EDT -(maybe) Tuesday, June 21 at (time to be announced) - another date/time in June to be announced: The postponed hearing from June 15. -And possibly additional hearings in June. ------------------------------- update: new schedule Tues. June 21 at 1:00 pm EDT Thurs. June 23 at 3:00 pm EDT (supposedly) -- The Politics Thread

Episode #11879 from February 20, 2019 Nikki is in jail for the murder of JT Hellstrom. She writes letters from her jail cell about her life, and there are flashbacks of young Nikki. This was a standalone episode for Melody Thomas Scott's 40th anniversary. https://soaps.sheknows.com/the-young-and-the-restless/recaps/535427/nikki-shares-her-life-story-in-a-letter-to-her-grandchildren/ Canada also aired the same rerun so they remain one day ahead. Some of the replies to this commercialization-of-Pride tweet "Where’s Kristina? GH is the land of tell, don’t show.🤦♀️And it’s never been worse than under this regime." "It would be great if you featured a lot more LGBTQ+ stories for Pride month and beyond. Get some queer writers on board. While your at it get some women in there too. We need these important voices to tell stories that we love and to tell them with care. #GH " "Nope stop virtue signalling and actually give real storylines to Terri, Lucas and Kristina." "Hey, how about giving legit stories to the LGBTQQIP2SAA characters you have instead of trying to make money off of them?" "name an lgbtq+ pairing you’ve INVESTED in over the last 6- wait, 12 months. i’ll wait."- Britney Spears Thread

I was watching the insurrection happening live on the internet while it was originally happening way back on Jan. 6, 2021, and posting about it here on this thread as it happened along with others on this thread - we were all posting live updates here. It was terrifying. Regarding last night (June 9, 2022)'s hearing -- they specifically said that it would be broadcast in primetime. The word "primetime" was used. They wanted it to air live to allow as many as possible to see the footage. They chose a start time of 8:00pm eastern and 5:00pm Pacific for the live hearing, so as to include as many Americans as possible. The committee is aware that a lot of Americans don't know what happened that day, not really. They aired a lot of footage last night. They were aware that it's not like the Watergate era when the citizenry voluntarily watched the hearings. Now they had to bill it as a primetime event. At first, I didn't want to bother to watch last night, because I thought I had already seen it ... but then I decided to watch as a witness to whatever additional new footage would be shown, and there was indeed a lot of footage I hadn't seen before. Plus I watched the whole thing as a *respect* for the process. Respect for the congressional investigation process, respect for those who testified, etc. Respect for truth.- All: character may be killed off
What Kenny ( @KLN ) said on this thread back in January about Abby is coming true. Something savage (or bloody) happens so you believe she's dead and not missing. That's what Kenny said but he didn't mention the specific method of death. He said that due to the inability to work things out with Mansi and Miller, they made a casting and story decision. The only details in the new SOD that were not in Kenny's intel were the list of suspects and that the "story" part of the decision was the need to free Chad. Abby is NOT decapitated. That was a fake rumor that was circulating. The photo in the new SOD clearly show that she has blood on her torso which indicates that something horrible has happened, but her head is very much attached.- The Politics Thread
I was trying to watch the hearing on the CSPAN youtube channel, and it wanted me to sign into youtube and say I am over 18 years of age. I guess due to the violence? But a google account is needed to sign into youtube and NO I'm not going to do that. I could watch on c-span.org but the video is more choppy. So I'm watching on the washingtonpost youtube channel. The first hour and a half is just talking heads of news analysis. The hearings start at one hour and 31 minutes into this video. (They committee took a ten-minute break from 2:30:00 to 2:40:00, which is full of news analysis you can fast-forward through)- GH: Stand alone episode
It's possible (but not confirmed) that congressional hearings June 13 could cause a preemption. If that happens, then it would shift the airdate of the 15,000th episode.- The Media/Journalism Thread
