  1. I don't know, I can't see it clearly, but here is a picture:
  2. You're welcome. I thought we could all use the smiles.
  3. John Fetterman of PA, Alex Padilla of CA, and Peter Welch of Vermont
  4. image from this tweet: https://twitter.com/ChristineRomans/status/1592865158359289857 That's real. Front page of NY Post intentionally ignores the Tr*mp announcement. Mentions at the bottom of front page "see page 26." Puts it in a tiny "Florida man" mention on page 26. Rupert Murdoch being Rupert Murdoch.
  5. Allie, Chanel, and Alex had threeway sex on October 10. It aired. It didn't happen again, although Allie wondered if Chanel wanted it again. They framed it like Allie wanted to spice things up for Chanel, as a fun thing for Allie and Chanel to share, to improve the relationship for the two of them. It really wasn't about Alex (except in his mind).
  6. I still haven't recovered from the collective PTSD of that man's occupancy of the White House. I would like to request that if things are posted about him, can we please not post his face or his voice? Thanks.
  7. Per the photo captions at CBS/Paramount Press Express, Linda Purl's B&B character name is "Lucy". These are pictures for episode 8901 of Wed. Nov. 23, 2022: https://www.paramountpressexpress.com/cbs-entertainment/shows/the-bold-and-the-beautiful/photos/ (They have Jennifer Gareis mislabeled as Annika Noelle in a couple of those pics, so I don't know if it's all accurate. But usually they get these pics right.)
  8. There's rumors that VK and RSW dated briefly in real life, then he broke it off when he met his current girlfriend. Perhaps a year ago? I don't remember. It's hard to say what's true or false about these rumors - because various stans of each actor have gossiped on twitter to the point of it being really hard to tell what actually happened. If it's true, it was probably a very small thing, and not as exaggerated as the rumors.
  9. All Rise, Season Three - multiple episodes for most of the season: Sean Blakemore (formerly Shawn Butler of GH) plays smarmy wealthy attorney André Armstrong who once dated lead character Judge Lola Carmichael many years ago, and he is now trying to seduce her. The character is written as an intelligent and hot guy who knows it, LOL. Sean Blakemore looks amazing and does great in the role. I just hate that they made Season Three about a soap love triangle between Lola, her husband Robin and her ex Andre, and gave less emphasis to the legal drama that the show is supposed to be about. The whole storyline makes Lola look vulnerable and stupid, and that's not who Lola is. All Rise, Season Three, episode 2: Olivia Rose Keegan (formerly Claire Brady on DAYS). She guested for one episode in a legal case – her character is a person who thrives on social media attention, but is the victim of a crime. She did great in the role, which was basically an extreme version of Claire Brady. Update on DAYS: Carver and Jules - The twin children of Eli Grant and Lani Price-Grant: Twins Veda and Bali Singh both played Julia "Jules" Harriet Grant in a December 2021 episode. Twins Dion and Raegan Yancy both played a recast Jules in a July 2022 episode. Twin sisters Arya and Wynter Wells both play Carver Malcolm Grant. They appeared in DAYS episodes of December 2021 and July 2022. Writing here because of the Wells twins: All Rise, Season Three: twins Arya and Wynter Wells (baby Carver Grant on DAYS) portray "Bailey" on All Rise. Bailey is the daughter of the lead character Judge Lola Carmichael and her husband Robin Taylor. Several cute and funny episodes. According to the twins instagram account ("thewellstwinz"), the Wells twins appear in Episode 6 of the Netflix Dahmer series as baby Tony Hughes. This is not a series I watch, so I can't verify it, but their instagram is usually reliable.
  10. Billy Miller played a villain on the NCIS episode of October 31. I had the episode on in the background and I was doing household chores, so I wasn't really watching. But then I knew his voice was familiar, so I checked and it was him, so I watched. He seemed believable. Carolyn Hennesy is *still* a soap actor (GH Diane). Just noting here that she guested as the Secretary of the Navy on the NCIS episode of November 14. Her portrayal seemed a bit camp which took me out of the scenes, but the entire episode was written kind of spoofy. Anthony Turpel (formerly RJ from B&B) guested on Nov. 7 episode of Quantum Leap. He played one of a group of teens that had been sent to an abusive detention camp "school" for wayward youth. He did a good job.
  11. Republican congresswoman Jaime Herrera Beutler represents Washington State's 3rd Congressional district. She voted to impeach Trump, so the Republican party disowned her and she lost the primary. Herrera Beutler's term ends at the end of this year. The Republican candidate for this district was MAGA extremist Joe Kent. Creepy guy. Democrat Marie Gluesenkamp Perez won the election. She leans slightly toward the right wing on some issues, but is still a Democrat. Seattle Times analysis of how Democrat Marie Gluesenkamp Perez won Washington State's 3rd Congressional district. https://www.seattletimes.com/seattle-news/politics/how-did-marie-gluesenkamp-perez-pull-off-the-upset-of-the-year-in-southwest-wa/ ROFL - FiveThirtyEight said she had a 2% chance at victory. https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/2022-election-forecast/house/washington/3/
  12. I really want to see Katie Porter win reelection for California's 45th congressional district. She's ahead by a little bit but the race hasn't been called yet.
  13. Tusli Gabbard has signed on as a paid consultant to Fox News. A representative for Fox News has confirmed that she signed a deal and will start appearing on its programs next week. https://www.latimes.com/entertainment-arts/business/story/2022-11-14/tulsi-gabbard-signs-as-a-contributor-for-fox-news
  14. I don't post spoilers for upcoming episodes in this nonspoiler thread. But I will comment now, that the official spoiler/description from the show regarding a recent episode that already aired, refer to Thomas's actions as "evil". This was in the cable guide, and also tweeted from the show: Friday, November 11, 2022 Thomas doubles down on his evil manipulation of Brooke and Ridge.
  15. Update on Boebert race in Colorado: Clearer results won't be until Wed. Nov. 16 which is Colorado deadline to receive military and overseas ballots. More on that process from Colorado Public Radio: https://www.cpr.org/2022/11/14/lauren-boebert-adam-frisch-race-update-colorado-3rd-congressional-district/
  16. https://www.vanityfair.com/news/2022/11/midterms-election-2022-media-pundits This is a really good essay. I posted this in the Media/Journalism thread, but I wanted it post it here in the Politics thread, too, to quote this excerpt from Molly's essay: QUOTE: I asked White House chief of staff Ron Klain about this chronic case of underestimating Biden. Klain wrote, “He has been underestimated as a candidate, as a president, and as a party leader—and he has delivered historical results in all three roles. As a candidate, he beat the previously unvanquished Donald Trump; as a president, he delivered critical legislation with the narrowest of margins on Capitol Hill; and now, as party leader, he has achieved a midterm result unmatched since FDR’s time. He does it by laying out what he stands for, fighting hard to get it done, and speaking earnestly from the heart. He has kept together the progressive and moderate wings of the Democratic Party, built an administration that looks like the country, and pursued policies that inspire young voters, middle-aged voters, and older voters. President Biden is underestimated because his triumphs are the triumph of wisdom, decency, and determination: values underappreciated in today’s media and political culture.” END QUOTE.

  18. I understand that VK and RSW had behind-the-scenes problems, so I doubt she'd want to have him as a romantic scene partner again. Furthermore, Ciara and Alex are biological second cousins from the Kiriakis line. Ciara descended from Victor, and Alex descended from Victor's brother.
