  1. This doesn't put the whole situation with firedguy (the former EP) in a different light - he was still a creep. There were about 25 or 30 actors who complained about firedguy, according to the Deadline reports. This demonstrates that all people can be victims of crimes, regardless of their political views. There are good, medium, and bad people who get victimized. As per Law&Order SVU, Captain Benson goes after abusers, regardless of who the victim is. The other cast and crew of DAYS (regardless of their politics) were still victims. AZ has long been a Republican (from her social media) ... and I cannot support that at all. I cannot support Camila Banus' politics either. at all. But they were still victims of firedguy on the DAYS set. I don't want AZ to be a Republican but she is. At least I'd hoped AZ was an independently minded "never-Trump" Republican. But apparently not. It's very upsetting to me. To reiterate, regardless of how she votes, the other Days cast and crew were still victimized. Fyi, that tweet was just a clip. The entire interview is an hour and 13 minutes, here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=avf3gKMJiJc

  9. Actually I remember a nurses station phonecall in the past year or two. After actress Sonya Eddy died and GH eventually wrote her character Epiphany as having died. And there was a phonecall that Elizabeth had to answer at the nurses station afterwards. And another time after Elizabeth became the new Head Nurse that replaced Epiphany. It wasn't what Elizabeth said at those times, it was the poignancy of the moment that was tangible when she answered the phone. I could feel it. It was doubly felt because we knew that both actress and character Becky and Elizabeth were feeling it about Sonya and Epiphany - and we did too. She was answering the phone as Head Nurse, but it felt so deep to me. And in my mind I could remember Jessie Brewer answering the phone. And just typing this has me crying!
  10. Summary of Monday June 17 US eppy (from the Friday June 14 Canadian recappers) Sharon is doing her technology corporation's paperwork at a table in Crimson Lights. She is edgy and irritable. Nick notices and Sharon explains that her doctor changed her bipolar medication because of her blood sugar levels. She's trying to get used to the new meds. Connor's OCD storyline: He talks with Adam and Chelsea via via videochat and he says he has made progress because he finally ate some soup. (yes really). He feels encouraged enough to ask Chelsea and Adam to visit him, indicating that he won't turn them away this time. Adam grasps Chelsea's hand for a split-second during the video chat (but below the laptop view, so not visible to Connor). Later Adam tells Nick -- and Nick says Adam&Chelsea can use the Newman jet, but then Victor wants Adam for something. Tucker's real or faked heart trouble (in reaction to Audra taking Glissade) ... as posted with pictures above-thread. Jack arrives at Ashley's Paris apartment. Alan reports to Jack and Traci (as they are all in Paris together) that Ashley is inpatient at mental health facility (but we don't see her). Alan says that *maybe* Ashley has additional D.I.D. alters they don't know about yet. So that's FOUR medical storylines in one episode. And .... also ... Alan asks Traci out to dinner in Paris.
  11. Somewhere along the way, I changed. I think it was Cindi Rinehart doing recaps on TV. I realized I could hear her recaps and it was quicker than me watching an entire episode. Then I heard her occasionally giving spoilerish hints maybe? And at some point later, I discovered recaps online. And then spoilers online. Then the librarian-researcher-aspect of my brain kicked in and I became an analytical viewer obsessed with facts, details, spoilers, etc. Yet somehow I've always held myself to "no-spoilers" for all Star Trek series. I appreciate the magic and wonder there! I think because Star Trek series (usually) uplift me, whereas soaps (sadly) just pass the time for me?
  12. "Lily admits to Billy that she finds his vision for Chancellor-Winters intriguing and exciting, and is even more energized by the prospect of what they can accomplish side by side. Billy is optimistic that Lily is going to join him and he gets excited about it, but there's a little bit of a catch or somewhat of an ultimatum from Lily that could stop everything in its tracks." So in other words, nothing happens?
  13. "Lily tells Billy that she and Daniel have come to an agreement about OmegaSphere: There will be no arbitration because Chancellor-Winters will keep the Princess Louisa game and will finance a college fund for Lucy in return." Ah so that must be what the Lily/Daniel scene in the preview video was about.
  14. Monsters wrapped last week, per this site: https://www.tvandmusicnetwork.com/2024/06/11/monsters-the-lyle-and-erik-menendez-story-has-wrapped-filming/ That site has reliable daily soap spoilers and soap interviews. In their article about Monsters, they enclosed photos of the filming of Monsters that they observed.

  18. "Allegations from lawyers for Prince Harry and others that Lewis had helped direct a cover-up of Murdoch hacking scandal involving deletion of millions of emails." I remember reading about the phone-hacking scandal ... years ago. I read the Guardian for world news (and sometimes BBC for world news) but that was always a headline -- so much that I had to filter it out. Literally years ago. I cannot imagine that nobody at the Washington Post was aware?
  19. No it's just a sign of me being unobservant while watching intermittently! Looking at the years, it must have been Georganne LaPiere's Heather that I watched while I was in high school.
  20. Do you also have a list of Days stage managers that are listed in the DGA directory? For example current stage managers Jessica (Jessie) Harrison and Lucy Yalenian are members of the DGA. I remember a few years ago when Jessie got her DGA card and posted it on her ig stories.
  21. KKL and Missy Claire Egan have started posting pics of Monte Carlo on their IG stories. As @Maxim posted KKL's above. (TK and Joshua Morrow don't do much social media). The Tom Arnold spoiler says Steffy/Brooke/Ridge go to Monte Carlo to promote Brooke's Bedroom line, and Tom Arnold plays the pilot, and he airs July 30 and July 31. So from the Tom Arnold spoiler, it seems that in August 2024 we will see B&B scenes of Monte Carlo. (as B&B often takes the opportunity of the fact that since they're sending actors to the TVFestival to be themselves as actors, might as well film some B&B scenes in Europe while there). KKL and TK are the only B&B actors scheduled for the official B&B/Y&R in-person event in Monte Carlo. I don't know if JMW is flying over to film B&B scenes with them afterwards, or if JMW's scenes will be filmed in Los Angeles and spliced in later?
  22. Yeah I just looked it up and read that about Cher's sister! I must have watched them both but not realized about the recasting, LOL.
  23. These discussions are interesting to me. I watched GH in the 1969-1976. I watched sporadically after that ... but stopped when the mob became the focus. There were also long periods of time when I lived in homes with no television, or with roommates who would have never agreed with me watching soaps- so I went for years without watching. And a big thing was that nobody I knew watched soaps. No family members or friends or classmates, so I didn't discuss it with anyone. My sister introduced me to soaps in 1969 but then she moved away in 1971, so there was nobody after that. Whenever I traveled to visit my sister during a vacation or holiday, I would watch soaps at her house, but that would be only a few days per year. All the discussions here about GH in the 1990s are mostly about things I never watched. I did see some stuff on soapnet in the early 2000s, but I don't remember if it was reruns or what? I did see some new episodes in the early 2000s. I also started watching Cindi Rinehart's daily recaps which helped me to follow along when I couldn't watch entire episodes. What is notable about my more regular viewing in the 1970s is that there was no way to record a show, there was no internet, and I had no access to soap magazines. And teenaged me never thought to read the closing credits. Therefore I had no idea who was cast and was often completely unaware when a character was recast, unless I happened to be watching live on a day when there was a voiceover "the part of __ is now being played by __" . Regarding recasts, if an actor/actress looked *very* different, I might notice, but otherwise I might just assume it was the same person playing the role differently ... ... well not exactly .... a more accurate way to describe it would be that I didn't really pay attention to the actors, as I was totally focused on character/story. I started reading soapcentral (back when it was amcpages.com) in the 2000s so I knew how to look up character/actor bios there, but I would research stuff only if there was something I was curious about. If I didn't know there was a recast, I wouldn't look up who played the role. --- Re: current discussion on this thread about the recast of Heather. I knew that Robin Mattson is known for having played the role of Heather, but I didn't realize until reading this thread TODAY that someone else played the role previously. Okay so the Heather I knew was the one played by Mary O'Brien?
