It seems that neither of Jennifer's potential suitors at the time were that appealing 😂😂

Agreed, Lulu was ridiculous today. They really need to push Rocco's reaction to her leaving so quickly as an actual storyline once she and Dante get back. Have him start acting out or something.

A good New Year’s Eve for a lot of people… gets screwed up in the cold light of day. I wonder if that happens a lot in real life 😂😂😂 Out of all the potential couples, I’m the happiest for JJ/Gabi, even though Javi was a little unnecessary in their scenes today. I would much rather have seen it be focused more on the two of them, rather than him. I have mixed feelings about the way that they’re writing Stephanie though. I like that she’s being all messy and conflicted over her feelings, but if she’s being written this way just to prop Alex, then that just messes up everything. She doesn’t need to become Alex’s little woman, the same way that Ciara became Ben’s little woman. Can you imagine how good this show would be if there was no propping? Stephanie should have actual feelings for Philip instead of just basically using him. That would add another good layer to this storyline. I enjoyed their scenes today, and I do see some chemistry between them. Btw, I see Philip goes to the same tanning salon as his brother, Rex 😂😂😂 And yeah, still Team Philip, despite that last scene when Alex saw him and Stephanie lol I think it’s time for a brawl between the two of them. Or with Xander. As for Johnny/Chanel, this all still seems like a huge letdown. Or that there was a rewrite half way through the story. Idk. Btw, I wonder what brand that black underwear that all the men wear is 😍😂😂

Long term story for more characters is one of the things I’m hoping for with the new writers.

I guess it’s possible, but since we actually saw what happened, idk. It’s like they lost interest in Johnny/Chanel. There were so many ways they could’ve created conflict for the two of them that would’ve been a lot better than this. Even the strike writers had a lot of chances and they didn’t take them. And I agree that Allie would be a good source of conflict for them too, but with Ron more or less hating the character, I don’t see her coming back.

Wait, what? Johnny stopped himself before he had sex with Joy? Raven and Carson did a really good job in their scenes today but what? I mean yeah, he looked hot in the flashback but what was the point of keeping it a big secret from the fans and from everybody if almost nothing happened between him and Joy? Honestly, this feels like a really big letdown. I was expecting it to come out that they actually did have sex, or didn’t and that Johnny blacked out and Joy was lying about everything, in attempt to steal Johnny from Chanel. I don’t see a point to this storyline now. And also, where does Joy go from here? Is her sole purpose now just to be the next notch on Alex’s bedpost? Speaking of Alex, I see they tried to make him the good guy and Philip the bad guy again, and again, mostly due to RSW’s portrayal, it didn’t work. It always comes off like he’s trying to manipulate the person into making them feel guilty as a way of getting what he wants from them. Like bro, I’m still Team Philip, mostly due to the Alex propping lol I wonder what’s going to happen between him and Stephanie now that they’ve decided to go at it. And I’m wondering the same thing about JJ and Gabi too 😂 EJ warning Fake Rafe about sleeping with Jada was a nice, modern era surprise. I didn’t know that Days (or Uncle Ron) had it in them 😂😂 Maybe that was a Janet mandate. And as much as I would love for Fake Rafe to disappear, I find myself asking again, what’s the point to all this if he’s just gonna be off working a “big case?”

I wonder if Paula/Jeanne changed any of Ron’s story projections. I know he changed some things when he first came on. And agreed, that most of the stuff mentioned sounds a lot like Ron (Chad/Cat, Stephanie/Alex, Fake Rafe) And that Gwen is not needed. Theresa is needed a lot more, especially now that she may become a grandmother. It stinks that they’re recasting Sophia, but it could be the actress’ decision, like with Jamie Martin Mann. As for Leo… 🤮🤮🤮 I’m still optimistic though.

Just trying to get people to watch 😉😂😂 Did they have any chemistry in their scenes together? I can't remember. I do agree that Mark needs to get out of prison. I like the Greenes, even though I hated that they ended up being tied to Clyde.

Writing out Linda and Stephanie in 1980 was a big mistake. There was so much that could have been done with both characters in the aftermath of Bob’s death, and the reveal that Stephanie was Brooke. I can understand them writing out all the deadweight characters. And even Bob and Phyllis too (agreed that the two of them did pretty much run their course by that point), but what were Al Rabin/Elizabeth Harrower/the network, whoever, thinking when they decided that the two of them had to go?

I’m hoping for that every day 🙏 Especially now that his biggest fan was finally fired.

Happy New Year y’all 🎉🎉🎉 Today started off a little clunky and the party was very rushed too. Some of these scenes really should’ve taken place in an earlier episode. But I liked how everything ultimately came together… except for Fake Rafe lol Belle’s dress was a little… ehhh lol but everyone else looked good, especially Johnny, JJ and Gabi. I had no idea Belle and Chanel were the same size though 😂😂 I liked seeing all the potential couples that are on track to reunite, even though I wasn’t a fan of the first few scenes between EJelle. Idk if it’s the writing or the way that Dan Feuerriegel plays it, but seeing EJ act like such a bumbling fool didn’t really work for me. He can put on a much better show than that, like he did with Gabi and JJ later in the episode. But I like that Belle wasn’t able to tell him yet that she was the new DA. I wonder how that reveal is gonna be used; if it comes out immediately I don’t mind either way. I also enjoyed JJ/Gabi and Philip/Stephanie too. There was still some tension between EJ and JJ/Gabi in their brief scene today. And I hope that means that their thing isn’t going to be completely dropped. EJ/Gabi doing anything together would be a good way to cause conflict for both EJelle and Jabi. And despite JPL’s previous acting choices, he is starting to grow on me as Philip. I think he still has some work to do but I thought he did well today. He does seem to work very well with Abigail Klein too. And I’m looking forward to the Philip/Stephanie/Alex triangle. With the new writers coming in, I imagine that it will be written on a more even playing field, instead of being so biased in favor of Alex/RSW. Plus, if both Philip and Alex are written as grey characters, maybe it’ll lead to my idea of a Stephanie/Xander situation lol And Johnny looked hot 😍😂 I know we’re supposed to hate him right now lol but since it was obviously written that way mostly to prop Alex instead of for what he did, I’m not drinking the Kool-Aid. But I am looking forward to the Johnny/Chanel/Joy scenes tomorrow.
