Dani vs. Bill was the highlight of today. They both gave as good as they got, and hopefully this was the first confrontation of many. And if/when they do reunite, hopefully it's not for a while lol I'd like to see how Hayley would react to it. I also enjoyed the family meeting too. And I like that there's internal conflict within the Dupree family as well as all the external conflict from Bill, etc. I also got a B&B/Brooke Logan vibe from Anita in those scenes; thinking she can order around grown ass adults like they're children 😂😂 Sadly, Martin was the weak link again. Which is too bad because I'm getting more and more interested in his big secret that Vernon and Anita are being blackmailed over. I still don't see any chemistry between him and Smitty either. I'm also interested in seeing how Smitty interacts with the rest of the cast. I don't really know what Vanessa was doing today, but I wish we could have had more of a friendship scene between her and Dani. Btw, Zeke from Vanessa's office looked like an older Lucas Adams 😂 The cliffhanger was really good too.

I don't think they're making fun. I think they're just trying to be funny but failing miserably 😂 The way this storyline is being written is reminding of that whole My Fair Lady thing they tried to do with Lois. If anything, Gio going off the rails with Q money should make him like a playboy or something

Finally, some follow up with EJ/Rafe/Kristen. Still not sure why we couldn’t see the outcome of EJ and Rafe’s fight though. I wonder who worked on today’s episode because it was weird af. And it didn’t even feel like a Jamey episode. The way it was broken down and written was very strange. Plus, the dialogue was just lousy. They seemed to hold back in every scene instead of really going there with every character that appeared today. Gabi’s non-reaction to Fake Rafe and Stephanie’s non-reaction to Shawn and Jada immediately come to mind. And, why the hell did Fake Rafe not try to stop Gabi after she got a lock of his hair and said she was gonna have a DNA test done? And don’t even get me started on the way Kristen was written today. I’m tired of her. It’s time to send Stacy back to Y&R (and take Greg Rikaart with her) and write Kristen out for good. Btw, I wish somebody actually would throw Rachel under a bus 😂😂 The only person that I seemed to enjoy today was Belle. I liked her scenes with Brady and with EJ. She seemed very smart and I’m curious to see what’s gonna happen now that she’s figured out that EJ is up to something. I still think that they need to play up the family dynamics as part of her relationship with EJ though. That seems to be another thing that the writers are holding back on. With episodes like this, it’s no wonder Ron was fired. But it seems a few other people deserve firing as well.

Maybe if Ron Carlivati was writing it, this is how Brad/Lucas would reunite 😂😂😂

Ok, are Brad and Lucas ever gonna go on this friggin Miami trip? 😂😂😂 I’m curious about Drew/Jason though. Are they really gonna go there and make us hate Drew even more? Btw, can you imagine what the press would do in real life if a Congressman’s brother was implicated in a murder? As for Joss, I was right. Not only is she a whore, she’s a coward too. You’d think that would disqualify her as a possible WSB agent.

Mike Manning! 😍 So glad to see his handsome face on my TV again. And to see him on a soap where the head writer doesn't hate him because of how he identifies. And he looked adorable with the glasses 😍😂😂 That being said, he and Brandon Clayborn didn't seem to have that much chemistry though. They seemed more like friends or co-workers, then husbands. And they could've at least shared a kiss. Not just because we want to see it lol but because it could have also been used as a chem test as well. We'll see what happens from here. The little hints that were thrown out in their scenes are really interesting to me. Btw, is that Brandon Clayborn's real voice or is he putting it on? Dani seemed more sympathetic today. I liked how she had that tough exterior yesterday but then nearly broke down today with Anita. That's a good character trait. And again, Dani's relationships with the people around her is the thing that's been standing out to me the most so far. I'm looking forward to her scenes with Bill tomorrow The Vernon/Bill dynamic really stood out to me today as well. With the little hints that Bill was throwing out today, and with Anita and Vernon's final scene, I wonder how their characters arcs are going to play out, between the three of them and across the entire canvas as well. I'm enjoying the surprise with Hayley too. Based on the promos and what we've heard, I got the impression that she was gonna be just as villainous as Bill. I like that there's a bit of mystery as to whether she's being sincere or not. Eva/Leslie gave me a little bit of an Ada/Rachel or Mona/Erica vibe. And judging by the look that Leslie gave Ted at the hospital, I think we know what that might mean. And yeah, Andre/Sean Freeman is beautiful 😍😍 They always did 😂

Yeah… there are a lot of people on BTG that look way too young to have grown children and grandchildren. I’ll roll with it… even though it’s quite obvious 😂 Plus, it’s not the first time a soap has done that. Hell, Days cast Ric Hearst to play Julie’s grandson and he’s only 22 years younger than Susan Seaforth Hayes 😂😂😂 Looking forward to getting home and watching!

Not really sure if Days has the money to put on a fundraiser but whatevs. I still have mixed feelings about Chad and Cat though. I don’t dislike them but I still feel like they’ve been handcuffed by all that unnecessary Clyde crap, that only happened because somebody was too much of a petty bitch to continue following a storyline that wasn’t his. And they really need to bring Mark, Aaron and Felicity back. In general, the character of Cat seemed more grounded with them around. But Chad’s suggestion about Marlena was stupid af and I’m glad Cat shut it down. No wonder why Billy Flynn threw shade when he spoke to Michael Fairman. I couldn’t be happier that this Fake Rafe crap seems to be ending. Stephanie being the one to blow it all up still seems strange to me though. I would’ve expected Gabi to be the one to do it but what matters the most is that it’s finally ending and segueing into something better. Btw, @brisbydog you’re right. We really need some follow up with EJ/Kristen/Rafe. It’s actually kinda weird that they haven’t done that yet. And yeah, Shawn was still looking hot 😍😂😂 And I was liking him and Jada today… even though I’d never go at it with someone on my best friend or cousin’s couch 😂😂😂 I’m curious to see what Stephanie’s going to do tomorrow.

😉 I like his goofy smile 😂😂 But I’m ready for the big reveal though. I imagine him and Tracy will end up having a good relationship too.

Yeah… Kai’s friend is a total pain in the ass. All that blustering about Trina was annoying. Like dude, shut up Gio is a cutie pie. He really does mesh well with the other characters, even Sonny lol he just needs something more to do. I particularly enjoyed the Davis girls scenes. It really needed to be one of them to kill Cyrus. Btw, that little whore better not let Jason rot in prison

From the very first moment we heard that we were getting a new soap, the one thing I didn't want was for it to be written like a big, stupid joke. And I couldn't be happier that it isn't. There did seem to be a little camp, but at the same time, everything was taken seriously. Not treating this like a big joke was definitely the way to go. I know things may change in the coming weeks as BTG finds its footing but the writing style is one thing that I hope doesn't change at all. Overall, this was a really good debut. The pacing was perfectly fine to me as well. And hopefully, they keep that. And I like that they're basically starting mid-story with the aftermath of Dani and Bill's divorce and Bill and Hayley's upcoming wedding. AW did something similar when it debuted. The one thing that really stood out to me and that I enjoyed the most were the relationships that Dani has with the people around her, particularly with Vanessa and Nicole. Vanessa definitely seems like the friend that she needs right now. As for Nicole, I can see the two of them having an Sami/Eric-like sibling relationship, where Nicole is always the first one to call Dani out on her BS, but is also always the first one to step up and defend her when someone else is coming at her. I'm looking forward to the first Nicole/Bill scene, whenever that may be. And the first Vernon/Bill scene as well. And agreed, Dani did seem a little more clingy and needy than I thought she would be, but I'm still on her side lol. Bill and Hayley better watch out. Btw, I loved the slap at the end too 😂 Derek and Ashley (i.e. the white couple) didn't bother me at all. It seemed like one of those standard B-plots that are always part of a soap and I didn't mind it. But I do agree that the actor seemed a little green though. Maybe he's not used to the pacing of soaps. But I admit I felt the same way about Bradley Clayborn as well, particularly in his first scene at the diner. Neither of them are at the level of Garren Stitt lol but we'll see where they go from here. I'm looking forward to seeing if he has any chemistry with Mike Manning. And yes, the actor playing Jacob is gorgeous 😍😂 😊😊😉

So, Stephanie actually has just been relegated to being Alex’s little woman. SMH. Hopefully, things will change with the new writers. Exactly two months to go!! She did seem to have some toughness with Fake Rafe though, which was nice to see. Now, she’s just needs to have that in more of her scenes. And I didn’t expect her to be the one to realize the truth about all this Fake Rafe nonsense either. You’d think it would’ve been like Gabi or somebody who realized it. Shawn/Jada was the best part of today. The road to get here could have been a lot better but I’m glad that we’re finally here. I could see them as a couple, for a little while anyway and I’m ready to go along with them for the ride. It could be really good, especially now that the new writers are coming. A new couple, under new writers is interesting to me, regardless of who the writers or who the characters, are. And yes, Shawn looked hot 😍 The music in that final scene though… not hot at all 😂😂 And, we got an update about Will and Sonny. Happy and safe from Leo, just like they should be. Btw, Gabi spoke for all of us today when she mentioned Leo. As for Leo… Skip. #PoorBilly#PoorAl Again, the only thing I’ll give Javi/Leo is that, as much as I dislike the pairing, it’s still not as utterly repulsive and nauseating as Dimitri/Leo 🤮🤮🤮🤮

Today’s the day! 🎉🎉 It’s still a little unbelievable to me. As much I wanted it to happen, I truly thought we’d never get a new soap again. And as a soap fan, I couldn’t be happier that this is happening. Not just for the cast and crew but for soap fans, and especially all of us, in general. Good luck! 👍 And now that we basically have a full daytime lineup of soaps again, all I can do is think of the last line of Knots Landing, “Just like old times, isn’t it?”

Maybe they should’ve cast him as Leo in 2018 😂
