One year of Paula/Jeanne. And I gotta say... things can be a lot better than what they are right now. They started off strong and the change that they brought to Days was really, really needed. But since then, they've gotten a little boring at times and made some wrong/pretty stupid decisions, some of which were clearly choices. And it's too bad, because there are a lot of things that I'm liking about Days right now, and there's so much potential for good storylines and conflicts that could play out for months, or even years. They, and everybody BTS at Days just need to do more. Lots more. And further use the characters that fans actually want to see. And realize that when they present themselves with a good idea, they should run with it, regardless of any budget or BTS issues. There are plenty of ways to tell a good story without a big budget, as we've seen on Days before lol. The one thing I will give them, without question, is that Days is no longer being written by someone who uses it to project his own endless supply of issues on to everybody and everything. And that's a good thing, regardless of how bad or boring an episode is. As for today's episode, welcome back, Joy... I guess. I figured this dangling plotline needed to be addressed at some point, but I have mixed feelings about it. She/AlexAnn Hopkins got a really raw deal the last time she was on the canvas, and I'm interested in seeing how she's gonna be used this time and what may happen to Alex and Stephanie in the process. And I hope we find out the reason why Joy's first run was so clunky and messy. But at the same time, this baby thing feels so unnecessary, in general. The whole reason this kid even exists is because of Ron's obsession with RSW, and that totally handcuffs that, IMO. And there are much, much better ways to cause conflict for Alex and Stephanie that have nothing to do with Joy, as we've been seeing lately. And like I said in the spoiler thread a while back, I could probably get behind this if Hopefully, Stephanie turns to somebody else as a result of this storyline. EJ? Xander? Philip? Anybody. And welcome to Days, nuVictoria! Both Sarah and Xander were really sweet with her. And I wouldn't mind her somehow playing a part in Xander and Sarah's inevitable reunion somehow. And yeah, this is a nitpick, but why is that big kid still in a stroller? 😂😂 I did like Xander going head to head with Marlena over Basic Black though. I completely understand why Marlena doesn't want to work with Kate anymore lol but I'm curious to see what's going to happen for Marlena/the company now. And also, what's going to happen when she finds out that she was named a beneficiary in Stefano's will. As for Kristen and EJ, their fight was ok. And the slap was pretty good too. The biggest problem with all this was just Kristen and EJ, in general. I would've liked their fight a lot more if they had involved any characters other than them.

True, Gio and Emma's trip to NYC was probably just an ad for Disney, but I'll be honest, I never thought that, in 2026, we'd get a location shoot like that on a soap again. I liked it. And, Gio was just a total sweetheart 😊😊 I hope Liz continues to have a part in Willow's storyline. It actually seems like a good and effective way to use her. And while Michael looked hot today, his scenes with Jacinda didn't do much for me. And this whole "Nina is the boss from hell" thing that Jacinda keeps going on about is not necessary. Sometimes, it almost felt like there was a civil war in the writers room over Britt. Where one side wanted her to be the Britch, while the other side wanted her to be more like a tragic heroine/viable romantic partner for Jason.

Conner's Chad's first scenes with the Hortons. They were actually the best part of today. And just like on Tuesday, I feel like Conner Floyd played it in a similar way that Billy Flynn would have. I still say it would've been nicer if we had seen Chad's actual reunion with Julie though. Based on their scenes today, it seems like Chad and Julie's relationship is going to continue and it really should. Their friendship has always been so nice. And I liked that Chad was there for Jeremy too. It really is too bad that they aren't going to work together that much. But I am looking forward to Chad's reunion with Jack and Jennifer. I liked that Julie was there for Jeremy too. But I have mixed feelings about Jeremy being the one that's Unfortunately, the rest of today was kinda boring. It wasn't particularly bad, except for Leo, who just came off like a creepy stalker again, but nothing else really interested me that much. Even Stephanie finally having scenes with her parents didn't do much for me, even though Stephanie finally getting a gun could lead to something interesting happening. There did seem to be a lot of foreshadowing in their scenes today. And I hope we get to see Javi's new bf at some point, if he actually has one.

I think that KT and the character of Britt, in general, works much better when she's written like she was yesterday, and not as campy, comic relief that has random fights with Carly. They could use a little conflict lol but they were so sweet and dorky. I loved it 😊😂😂 I couldn't help but laugh and smile when Gio said, "I'm gonna show you... a whole new world!" 😂😂😂

Finn Carr is still killing it. He did a really good job today. I’m somewhat interested in Curtis’ suspicions that we heard at the end. It could lead to something good happening. And of course, Gio and Emma 😊😊😊😊😊

Oh, that goes without saying 😉 Even when Days is boring/bad, there’s always something worth seeing 😂😂 This kinda feels like a Noel Maxam shift to me. I don’t remember them ever using Leo Howard’s martial arts background as a part of Tate’s storyline. I mean, if Tate also had a background in martial arts, he could’ve used those skills on Doug III 👊🏻👊🏻😂😂😂 I can still see that happening, at some point 😂

A Lani/Kristen reunion! As much as I can't stand Kristen sometimes and still think she needs to be written out, I've always enjoyed this friendship. It shows a different side of Kristen that we don't often see. It was nice seeing them get all caught up. Too bad that she went back to being annoying again as the episode went on. I don't care about her plan with Sophia at all. A large part of today's episode was also devoted to the fallout of Xander and Kate setting Johnny up. In spite of Josh Taylor's voice lol I liked seeing him and Kate going head to head again. I thought it was a pretty good showdown, and I'm looking forward to when the truth finally comes out. Roman, bringing up Kate's devotion to her family and how that devotion has sometimes hurt other people was a good idea. That's how you use history. I also didn't mind Marlena questioning Xander about it either. She definitely needs to be included more in this storyline, just based on the fact that Johnny is her grandson. I'm interested in seeing what happens to all these characters as the storyline progresses. Hopefully, the lawsuit actually goes to court too. Plus, based on Johnny and Chanel's scenes today, it looks like he may need his grandmother sooner or later. And I'll always enjoy Brady/Tate scenes. They're so believable as father and son. I expected Tate to decide to drop out of Salem U but I have mixed feelings about his plans though. As nice as it would be to see him working as a personal trainer/martial artist lol I don't see how they could get any conflict or drama out of that. And he and Holly need a much better storyline than anything involving Sophia anyway.

Small lol There was a main room, with the entrance and the reception desk. And behind the desk, there was a smaller exam room that was just divided by a curtain.

It'll never cease to amaze me I thought he did a good job. The only person he really interacted with today was EJ, and I thought they had good brother/rivals chemistry.

Welcome back Chad, Thomas and Charlotte! And welcome to Days, Conner Floyd! I admit I was a little concerned when we first heard that Chad was being recast after 12 years of Billy Flynn, who was loved by literally the entire Days fanbase. And based on the storyline at the time, it just seemed more sensible to have it be revealed that Abigail was alive, and give her, Chad and the kids a happily ever after. I mean, Ron's gone lol that could've happened. But now, I'm interested in seeing what happens for Chad. Based on all the interviews that Connor Floyd's given over the last few months, you could tell he did a lot of research about the character, and seemed really excited and enthusiastic about stepping into the role. To the point that I'm already hoping that it works out for him. He's got a really tough act to follow, but he seems prepared for it. I'm interested in seeing what he can bring to Days. I'm not familiar with Conner's work but Y&R fans on here have said he was being wasted just as much as Rory Gibson was, and look how well it's working out for him over on GH. Yeah, Chad Duell was no Billy Flynn lol but it would be nice to see if Conner gets accepted so quickly by the fanbase too. Based on his scenes today, I thought he did a good job so far. He seemed to play it in a similar way that Billy would have. And also, seemed dressed like him. I liked him going head to head with EJ too. Chad, suspecting that EJ might have had Abigail in the pod was a good idea. His suspicions could lead to something interesting for the two of them and everyone around them. Maybe we'll get a Chad/EJ feud lol but I do think that we should've seen Chad and Julie's reunion. They have such a nice relationship and I hope it continues on with Conner. I blame the writers for us not seeing their reunion. Unfortunately, the rest of the episode was a bit of a mixed bag though. And I was definitely not here for Leo being such a creepy stalker. It just didn't work, and it wouldn't work even if I liked the character. Him getting drunk with Gwen and Cat didn't work either. They really should've had Javi's new bf be Mark. Or have him and Dimitri fall for each other over time. Btw, Dimitri left Salem? Is Peter Porte really gone? If he was, then a lot of people BTS at Days need to be fired. As for Gabi/Theo/Philip, I stand by what I said about them yesterday. Plus, it feels like Theo knowing Gabi's secret has been backburnered in favor of this Lexie thing, and it shouldn't have been. That was one of the most interesting dynamics of this storyline and I really want to see it play out.

Team Willow! I was worried that they were gonna make her look like this pearl clutching hypocrite today with Michael and Jacinda, but having her trauma from Dawn of Day be the thing that’s making her so anti-Jacinda was the right move

Welcome back, Lani! I'm interested in seeing what she can bring to the canvas. There's still plenty of storyline left for her, and Eli. I wouldn't mind the two of them getting involved in the Lexie storyline (even though I'm not a fan). Or in Chanel's. She and Chanel worked well together today. And I liked that Chanel comforted Alex over everything that happened with Stephanie. Speaking of Stephanie, as ridiculous as she's being, I actually don't mind her acting like this. I still say that the only thing this all needed was for the conflict between Alex and Stephanie over Jeremy, the stalker/kidnapping, wanting to have a baby, etc. to be built up a lot more. That way, Stephanie flipping out at Alex all the time now would make more sense, IMO. But I'm glad that she had Jeremy to talk to again, and that the two of them are continuing to trauma bond lol it really is too bad about what's going to happen next week. They have chemistry. And Jeremy looked good too. And I liked that Jeremy was also there for Julie as well. Gabi/Theo weren't bad, but they really need to pick up the pace with this storyline. Or at least add a few more beats and dynamics to it. I think it's time for them to move on from the casual flirting and on to something else. Hopefully, that happens now that Gabi read Theo's journal entry about her lol And I guess it's a good thing that Rafe is playing Kristen to get EJ and is not actually on her side. Apart from that, he and Cat didn't do much for me today either. The ending with Cat was ok, mostly because it set up tomorrow's return!

Between that, and everything that happened last year with Gio, maybe he's got it in for her 😂
