He lost the role because soaps SORAS kids all the time, and despite Frank's fixation on him Bechtel was neither talented nor popular enough to warrant locking him in like Kimberly McCullough or Jonathan Jackson. They are the exception, and he ain't it.

It's a reason why you keep Kimberly McCullough, Jonathan Jackson, or even Carly Schroeder on your show for years to come. And TPTB might not necessarily keep Nicholas Bechtel on your canvas for several reasons.

I’ve been saying if these apps soaps wanna survive they need to build their streaming output. This is a smart move for Days and since it’ll use many of their biggest cast members, it’ll get eye balls. Hopefully this goes well enough to develop a proper spin off with a stand alone story!

I hope this inspires Paramount Plus to do the same with the Bell soaps and Hulu with GH. Forrester International is literally begging for a spin off

I would love to see a Forrester International Spinoff with Rick, Thorne, Felicia, Dino and a host of new characters and characters from the mother ship visiting from time to time.

  3. I wouldn't be surprised by the fall that they have Paris be the "Rebecca De Mornay" to Steffy's "Annabella Sciorra". This show doesn't have the best track record when it comes to Blacks and POC's. I knew when they first had Paris come onto the show something like this would eventually happen to this character.

They hardly show Zende (Thank God) the actor and the writing is to blame for that. He should be having scenes with his family more. If you just started watching this show you would think Zende was just another employee instead of a Forrester who was adopted by Eric's eldest daughter and her husband in Africa twenty years ago.

According to Wikipedia for GL's Cassie Layne Winslow, After Laura Wright announced she was leaving the show, both GH's Cynthia Preston (Faith Roscoe) & OLTL/AW/GH Actress Jensen Buchanan were up for the role. Nicole Forrester won the role in the end.

I like both actresses but I can't see them as Cassie. Someone on here mentioned a long time ago that Sarah Brown would've been a great recast for Cassie and I actually can see her in that role. I would love for her to be in scenes with Kim Zimmer and I think she would bring that headstrongness that Carly had years ago.

She sure dodged a bullet there.

Who was Allie on All My Children?

LW also alluded to that Jessica Collins also read for Ally on Loving before getting cast as Dinah Lee

I love Jessica Collins. But I couldn't see her as Ally Rescott. I think Dinah Lee was the better role for her. Even if she was better than most of the material she was given.

Because I am a gossip I like to read between the lines in interviews like the one LW gave and while it is extremely unsurprising, I found the way she reacted to being asked about Frank Grillo amusingly telling. She said something positive but the subtext was very clear.

You're right. I projected what happened with Tom Eplin but obviously nothing would have mandated it being Cassie.

You got that feeling to when Frank Grillo was mentioned too, huh?

I am glad there was talk of NR and LP but there were more questions I wish he had asked about Loving and The City (Michael Weatherly!)!
But I love how glowingly Laura talks of her experience there. Made me happy

Oh and Eric is looking like a dish. Yum.

I was the person who asked about Nada and Lisa. I figured Alan wouldn't ask too many questions to her about Loving we haven't heard about before.

The worst was when they were in LA summer 2003 when Gwen lost the baby. Besides that entire day started in August and lasted till thanksgiving…Lindsay Hartley wore that pink top for about two months! :D  and they joked about this during the reunion but this was when Whitney was shot and Chad Ethan and Fox were walking around shirtless in the hospital for like two weeks! Lol

I remember that entire summer in LA too. 🤣🤣🤣

I wonder at times if they brought in Buck to play a Trucker-type story with Stacey once they focused more on Trucker and Dinah Lee.

I think Trucker and Dinah Lee have a lot of chemistry, but trashing Curtis casts a pall for me.

Apparently there was some speculation the show might pair Angie and Trucker when she first arrived in Corinth. I doubt they would have, but it could have worked.

I guess Trucker was leaving revamp or no revamp as Robert Tyler wanted out, but I do wonder what might have been. Him leaving town with the wan Dinah Lee recast is a whimper of an exit.

I don't feel like I've seen enough of the building blocks of Trucker and Trisha to have a strong opinion on them. The early days, like his sleeping with Gwyneth, don't really match up to what I later see with them.

The more I watch of Loving the more I realize I don't really care a great deal about any of the couples, maybe aside from Louis and Kate or Casey and Ally. Even with Alex and Ava, I sometimes feel she was a bit stifled.

(actually I realize when I watch more of the show that I don't actually love a lot of Ava's stories, I just enjoy watching Lisa Peluso and Ava's core relationships)

I hope someone is able to virtual interview Lisa Peluso about her time on SFT and Loving one of these days.

I do agree with you about how my enjoyment of Ava mostly comes from the performances and charisma of Lisa Peluso. Though I do like Alex/Ava as a couple I also love seeing her with her other core relationships too.

I'm in the middle of watching of Curtis/Dinah Lee wedding with Ava being protected by Jeremy. Even though I'm not a big fan of that pairing. I do like the scenes when Jeremy was zipping her dress up and she was teasing him about being this slow when it comes to unzipping out of the blue. 😂

That's why I believe Lisa one of the unsung heroes of Loving.

    Ah cool, thanks!

Jack Landron will probably get a Guest Actor Emmy nomination for his performance as Sutton today, but I hope this isn’t how they are wrapping up this story.

You're probably right about Sutton. But mostly for Mishael Morgan's performances. This storyline could've went down better. Why are we supposed to care about characters we have no history with regarding a murder mystery?

Is Camryn Grimes on leave? Is that why we don’t see Mariah squirming, bound and gagged or tied to some bed with Stitch as her masked caretaker, in some abandoned cabin somewhere? JG might be overestimating how much we’re invested in these “reveals.” He’d be better off showing his hand.

They might've filmed this when Camryn was vacationing in Ireland (According to her IG) I know she was there visiting with Hayley Erin (ex Abby and ex Kiki - GH) who is staying there with her husband.
