  1. Her mother's death was heartbreaking and I wish that Vicki was the Vicki we got on the show (not to go through something like that, but to see authentic emotion of any kind). I think Vicki jumped the shark with the cancer storyline. I don't think she was ever able to come back from that. Her desperation this season still stems from not wanting to be seen as a con woman when she was clearly lying and conning everyone about Brooks' cancer. I know that Vicki saw Braunwyn as the reason for her demotion, but if Bravo really wanted her, they could have kept her on full time. Vicki was homophobic and a complete nightmare to Braunwyn who handled herself remarkably well which also made Vicki so much worse. I have never seen someone implode in this specific way. Vicki showed her true self at the reunion and it was frightening. If they invite her back, I'm done with RHOC. I can't watch this woman any longer.
  2. I hope that is true. I've always disliked her, but that was just horrific. That was worse than I thought it was going to be.
  3. We all could have come up with a hundred other questions that didn't get asked. I wish Bravo would fire him. These reunions are so unsatisfying. The last good one was the one where Phaedra was exposed. In the RHOC ones, someone would bring up something important and Cohen would change the subject--most likely because he wasn't paying attention. How do you not follow up Shannon's admission of 8 to 9 blackouts with a question asking her if that's not a sign of being an alcoholic? This is especially true because she's complained about the accusation in the past and uses Emily's "diagnosis" of a mental illness as a reason to hate Emily. Boggles my mind. I listened to Tamra on Heather Dubrow's podcast. She admits to forcing her sons to film the reconciliation on camera. She was angry that Spencer did not stick to her plans. She also thought Shannon was the MVP of the reunion. I have no words for the last one.
  4. Am I wrong in thinking they submitted their Christmas episodes for Emmy consideration?
  5. How much of Kelly's "forgiveness" is a result of Andy Cohen? He never asks the right questions or follows up on anything. Nothing ever gets sorted, and it's maddening. It was obvious that his sole goal at this reunion was to make Vicki suffer so he let so much else slide (not that I'm against making Vicki suffer). Sample follow-up questions: "Gina, you started off with a drunk driving arrest. How do you think you have the right to judge Emily's reaction to you?" "Gina, why are you allowed to be selfish and demand people cater to you? Did Shannon tell you this is how it works?" "Tamra, why should viewers care about your racist and sexist son?" "Tamra, why would you force your sons to film a reconciliation for the camera?" "Shannon, how did Kelly's tweet cause you any financial hardship? You already had these legal bills. Why should viewers who might be struggling to pay rent care that you opened your mouth to a tune of $250,000 in legal bills?" "Shannon, wouldn't 8 or 9 blackout events indicate you have a drinking problem?" "Kelly, don't you think your sex talk will get back to your daughter and embarrass her?" "Tamra, you own a gym. How would anyone feel comfortable going to your gym when you constantly make fun of Emily's appearance?" "Gina, why did you laugh at Tamra's remarks if you're such a good friend to Emily?" The OC housewives filmed their reunion when they had six/seven episodes left to watch so this might explain why certain housewives didn't bring up certain events because they went right past them, didn't watch the episodes, or only focused on the big events.
  6. I think the problem with RHOC is that it is obvious that the housewives (V/T/S) are "producing" the material. Tamra was a humourless human sledgehammer this season. Compare that to someone like Kenya who brings a marching band to Marlo's event--could not stop laughing. I would get rid of Shannon and Vicki. Vicki needed Brianna there to call her out on her behaviour. Since she's not there much, Vicki only has Steve and he's a block of wood (and their engagement seemed staged for the camera). I didn't miss Vicki when she was absent from the episodes. I find Shannon so unpleasant and self-centred. I think an isolated Tamra would work well. I would definitely keep Emily, Kelly, and Braunwyn as some of my favourite moments have been there talks with each other. Heather won't come back if Kelly is there, but I don't want Alexis or Gretchen. They are just too fake and produced and I don't want more religious talk. I don't even remember Lizzie (must have skipped her season). Was she any good? I liked Meghan, but I don't think the show can handle another nasty divorce.
  7. I might feel for Vicki if she hadn't sued Bravo shortly before the reunion because of Kelly's "Fraud" comments. Does she not realise they have the Brooks/Cancer stuff on tape? She's lucky she had a job after that--on bravo or in insurance. Plus, she was so hateful to all of the production. If this is how she is with cameras, I can just imagine what she's like bts. This reunion also made me realise why I hate reunions. Andy is a terrible moderator. Nothing ever gets sorted. For ex:Why didn't Andy call out Gina's white woman entitlement over her arrest? And how taking an uber was such a terrible thing. And how she equated Emily setting her up with the cousin to being in prison? I know she was attacked, but she was truly AWFUL to Emily.
  8. I feel like I become a Kelly stan on this board (and I end up having to be pro-Gizelle since the board is heavily pro-Karen), but what got me was Vicki taunting Kelly to hit her and calling her a slut. She wanted Kelly to react so they could say "Oh look. She's so violent." They were so disappointed when Kelly didn't react AND then Vicki threatened violence again Kelly. They want Kelly to react so they have a reason to get her fired. They tried to do that with the Bellino tweets which also failed. I don't think KD is a Vanderpump or even a Camille but I do think the three of them wanted to bring her down so they could put Vicki back on the show. I think if anyone is unhinged it's Vicki (cancer scam, racist/homophobic, dating a cop with a shady past, calling her daughter a liar for her accusations about Brooks, etc.). To me, the most moving scene in the finale was with Emily. She's in pain and she finds out she needs a hip replacement, and her husband is a complete a-hole to her. The pain on her face was real, and it didn't require all this manipulation and nonsense that I see with the TA.
  9. I'd be glad to see Gina go, but I like Emily a lot. I think she brought a lot of real drama rather than forced drama (the Tres Amoebas). She also had enjoyable interview bits. I think RHOC's problem is that V/T/S are so busy forcing drama (the finale party/the reunion as recent examples) that it sucks any fun from the show. It was so obvious during the season that they were attempting a Vanderpump-style takedown of Kelly. A viewer doesn't have to like Kelly to see what they were doing. Vicki's behaviour at the reunion was insane but in an uncomfortable and sad way. Shannon and Tamra complaining about Kelly's ego? Really? MAking fun of her looks while criticising her for attacking Vicki? Of the three, I would keep Tamra, but I would make sure she has no allies so that we see a Tamra on her own where she can't use other people to do her dirty work. It was plain to me that Tamra and Shannon spent all season trying to get Kelly off the show so Vicki would be invited back.
  10. I'm sick of Tamra, Shannon and Vicki. The finale was awful because they were trying to do anything to start stuff with Kelly. Kelly is responsible for Tamra having to write checks? Please. It's Tamra's big mouth that caused it. If it weren't for Kelly and Emily (and to some degree, Braunwyn), this season of OC would have been fake stories and trying to get Vicki back full time. Just a dud. I can't stand Shannon especially.
  11. Where else has the retro rep posted? I'd like to read what she has to say. I don't understand why she's not approved but the woman who took over the board for weeks was allowed to go unchecked.
  12. I can put up with a lot if there's at least one story that keeps me going, but the Tom Pelphrey era did it for me. I never watched consistently again and I even liked the nuTony/nuMichelle/Danny triangle so I can be easy to please although it might have had more to do with lusting after nuTony.
  13. I have never seen Falcon Crest except for the youtube videos of the opening but my mother was a major fan and she still says, "I still can't believe they fired Ana Alicia! What were they thinking?"
  14. 100% agree with first season part. They were horrible to her. I'm not saying Kelly is the greatest, but that bus ride alone was an example of how those witches behaved. From season one, they have tried to bait her and get her to react because they think they will get rid of her. IT backfired because most of the audience saw what they were doing. They have been trying the same thing this year, and it also hasn't worked. Shannon was so gleeful about telling Kelly that news. She really wanted Kelly to attack Vicki. You could tell in the bravocon clips that Shannon was angry that their anti-Kelly campaign failed. Miserable woman. Kelly might be vulgar and hit below the belt at times, but in comparison, she's a saint. While I enjoyed Heather on the show for the most part, it's amusing that it was her reactions to Kelly that brought her down (as housewives say).
  15. I don't see that. I've been watching this season, but I didn't watch last season so I've been catching up on last season, and Kelly seems the kindest of the main four (or main three if you leave out Vicki). Shannon was a nightmare last season. She was so hateful to Emily and Gina for no reason and everything out of her mouth is DAVID related. Does she ever listen to someone without making it about her? (Something Gina also does). Vicki called her own daughter a liar for what she said about Brooks. She is a horrible woman. Does Kelly say things that are out of line? Yes, but I always think they come from being attacked--as she was on the bus trip or in the recent episode. Was the Vicki pig emoji nice? No, but Vicki purposely hit below the belt, and you can tell the tres Amigas purposely try to provoke Kelly so she will react violently and be kicked off the show. IT obviously didn't work based on Shannon's Bravocon attitude and Vicki's "I'm no friend" no season ultimatum.
  16. Am I watching the same show? I find Kelly Dodd funny. Shannon especially is a hateful and self-obsessed shrew. Can't stand her. Vicki participated and encouraged a cancer fraud. Kelly did nothing to help Bellino's lawsuit against Shannon and Tamra. It's just something for Shannon and Tamra to whine about. Do you think any sane lawyer is going to call her as a character witness? If anything, they would just use the show to prove how Tamra helps to spread rumours about people. ATL: Why is Nene on this show? She looks unhappy and she brings nothing to the table. I've never seen a housewife look so miserable.
  17. I actually started watching GL again because of Tony and Danny. I stopped watching when Johnathan took over the show. I never got the appeal of the character or the actor.
  18. Don't quote me on this, but I think Debra was the name she used when she was pretending to be a writer so she could get information so that Quinn could take over as Robert. I believe Flame was her real name. I don't remember the twin part.
  19. I have to agree. I think Carmen Duncan would have been the better choice. Duncan is Iris to me. Wasn't McKinsey on GH so she could keep her benefits? Angela Lansbury did the same thing for her classic film costars while she was making Murder, She Wrote.
  20. Firing Garland was ridiculous as was getting rid of Gocke and Bizeau. In some ways, it felt like the Dobsons were purposely trying to sabotage their own show. I wish the Dobsons would have been able to work with different producers (didn't they work with both Conboy and Rauch or was Conboy already gone?) because I think that could have helped. These days, the #metoo movement would have made Rauch firing Sorel a big scandal. OF course, this is NBC and the nonsens is still going on and condoned.
  21. I think the Dobsons did have a handle on her, but backstage nonsense got in the way so Rauch fired her as retaliation for his fight with Born. A real shame because the Dobsons and Long would have done her character justice.
  22. I don't know why it is that I always miss Another World the most around the holidays. I liked AW-post Mac/DW but as I've written before, I think Swajeski never knew how to follow through with that stories. She was fantastic at creating individual episodes. I always liked the Sharlene/Grant/John storyline but wasn't that cut short because of Rambo's illness?
  23. IT would have been easier if the Dobsons had watched the show while they were gone. They made so many decisions that punished viewers for sticking with the show (writing off Gocke, the Augusta/Dash stuff, the Eden/Suzanne nonsense, etc.). If they had just continued the storylines in their own way, the show would have been so much better. Since they didn't, the storylines made little sense, and I lost interest in the show. I don't think I stuck around for their entire tenure especially after Rauch fired Bizeau because of his feud with Born.
  24. KAndi interviews Andy on her Youtube channel. I think it's safe to say Andy has had those conversations with Lisa, but she's not interested. He also talked around the reason why Vicki was demoted.
  25. Yes, that's very true. It is a terrible trope. I suppose I'm noticing it more with SB as I'm going back and watching some old SB clips.
