  1. RHOP: As a new viewer, I find Gizelle hilarious. I find the other women difficult to get into especially Ashley who just comes across as so fake--the father visit made no sense. I also don't know what to make of Karen, but that's also because she's been an afterthought in this season's episodes I've seen. RHOC: Vicki should have been fired during the cancer fraud. I don't miss her when she's not there. I think the problem is less about Vicki and more about boring housewives who are still on the show. Gina adds nothing. Emily and Shannon's instagram thing was amusing, but I don't want to see another a-hole husband and a long-suffering wife. I like Tamra especially when she's worried about Eddie, but I don't want to see her racist son. Kelly I'm not sure what to make of. She reminds me of Brandi, but she doesn't exhaust me the way Brandi did. Why didn't they try to get Lynne back since her family is going through so much? Why are there only white housewives? Where are the OC Asian women? Are they just going to write off anyone non-white because of the Peggy disaster? RHOM: I miss Miami. Season two was so good and season three was fine. Better than most of the other shows. RHONY: I've been watching season three of the show. I like this Bethenny. What happened to her? I can't stand the Bethenny on the current season. I also liked Alex since she was so real (hives, nervousness, anxiety, etc.). Season three Jill shows what happens when you buy into the press and think you're the star. Hope Jill's downfall happens to Kyle. How was Kelly invited back? She was mentally ill and it was unsettling watching her on the show. I'll probably skip season four since I've been told it gets vicious and the new housewife Cindy is a disaster.
  2. Exactly. The whole anti-Heather thing was so bizarre to me. My guess is there was a take down Bethenny pact, but when they realized it was not going to work, they went after heather.
  3. This is one reason I can't get into RHONY. Dorinda is so damn cruel. There was no reason for that turnip comment, but she loves to twist the knife. Her line of thinking is "Barbara doesn't fit in so it was perfectly right for us to treat her abominably." I wonder if she would tell that to teenagers. Why does she care about Tinsley's money? I think we all know why. They thought Tinsley would be a flash in the pan, but she hasn't been and that irks them. They constantly complain that she's not open, but Bethenny hides a LOT. What do we really know about Dorinda except for Richard and Dorinda? And then Dorinda goes after Luann who can be insufferable, but Dorinda is worse. If you know your friend is going through something (alcohol or manic depression), why are you constantly hounding her? It feels as if she does it for the camera which makes it all the more scummy.
  4. THE OC: I think OC has the same problem as rhobh. I don't buy these women like each other. It feels as if Tamra and Shannon only forgave Vicki because they thought their jobs were dependent on it. I might like Kelly if she didn't come across as such a psycho and her scenes with her daughter seem scripted as well. Maybe they're not, but I don't buy them. At last season's reunion, I remember thinking Gina was somewhat interesting for calling perpetual victim Shannon out on her stuff, but I completely forgot about Emily. I can't remember one thing she said or did. I think the cancer scam harmed the show because that's a horrible thing to come back from and how could you trust anything that comes out of Vicki's mouth? The people who seem to support Vicki are the ones that want Phaedra back on RHOA, but that woman should have beeb disbarred and jailed. The only reason to have Phaedra back is to have shirtless Apollo scenes. On a side note, what happened to Terry Dubrow's face?
  5. If i were not laid up because of a knee problem I would not have watched RHOC, but I watched, and I was bored out of my mind. I skipped the Ryan stuff (after reading about it here) because I'm just not listening to that garbage. Who is there to root for on this show? Gina is a drunk and could have killed someone. I'm supposed to feel for her? Emily has yet another emotionally abusive spouse. How is that entertaining? Everything felt flat and produced/scripted. Kelly's trip to the cat village had me eye rolling. I don't care about the new girl. Bronwyn I think. I don't want to see a woman who has seven kids. I loathe kids, and I will never understand why Bravo thinks viewers want to see brats running around their screen. I didn't miss Vicki because I find her to be a sociopath. I have never really liked RHOC because it's too much religion and republicanism for me, but with this cast, I just don't care about any of them.
  6. Why does everyone want Vicki? She was an absolute nightmare. I never liked her and the whole Brooks thing should have had her sued and fired. I didn't watch last season (except for reunion) so I don't know how the season went, but I was not crazy about the new women.
  7. I understand why Andy Cohen asked the Eddie Murphy question. Murphy engaged in a lot of hateful anti-gay rhetoric. Andy Cohen is messy, but I think his question was an honest one. Burgess could have simply said, "People change and Murphy was lovely to me." There was no need for all this drama.
  8. I had forgotten that Denise Richards slept with her best friend Heather Locklear's husband. Can I assume that was not brought up on the show? Also, it appears Dorit is in legal trouble: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-7311295/Dorit-Kemsley-arrested-contempt-court-doesnt-appear-hearing.html
  9. Brandi Glanville is so annoying with her anti-LVP nonsense. She blames LVP, but not Yolanda who obviously put her up to attacking Joanna Krupa? The Yolanda that no longer associates with Brandi now that they are both off of the show. This is the same Brandi who was on Family Boot Camp where her father accused her of being a prostitute. Just no. I have never seen the Potomac show but I've kept up with the clips on Bravo. Is this a show to watch from the beginning or just start with this season? What is Dorinda's problem with Tinsley? She's constantly attacking/criticising her. Is she jealous because of Tinsley's popularity?
  10. Kyle's tweet storm backfired on her. She really lives up to the Vyle Kyle moniker. I thought of what would get me back to watching the show, and I couldn't think of anything if the current cast returns. I can't stand any of them with the possible exception of Denise.
  11. As much as the MJ as prostitute story was ridiculous, I actually enjoyed the story. I just saw Spencer's MJ as another character rather than MJ. I think this period of the show had so much potential, but they never followed through with anything.
  12. RHONY: I didn't watch most of the season, but I see that Bethenny is still unsufferable. As someone who just lost my cat of 14 years, I couldn't get over how she was making jokes and attacking Tinsley. Who does that??? I think the housewives thought Tinsley would be a flash in the pan, and they are angry that she has been successful in getting viewers to like her. She doesn't have to attack other. She doesn't have to start fights with other HW (Dorinda always starts something at the end of the season to be "relevant") and I think they resent her. RHOBH: First year I didn't watch any of the episodes. I just couldn't stomach it. Who is going after Pandora and their business? So scummy.
  13. Have any of the horrible women offered condolences to LVP or are they still in attack mode?
  14. SB always had so many loose ends and they never cared to address them. As fantastic as the show could be, it's maddening how they will drop secondary characters or even contract players. In a way, they would do the telenovela format where a storyline would run for 12 weeks and then it'd just fizzle out (The Laura/Michael/Leo Mitchell stuff some immediately to mind) or they'd get rid of the character (Sandra the psychic). Did they ever tell a long-term storyline that lasted about six month and that didn't fizzle out or become confusing (Channing's murder for ex.)?
  15. I don't see anything wrong with it, but wasn't Rinna criticised for the "my gays" stuff? Ugh. I'm so over RHOBH. I can't even bother to watch it.
  16. What did LVP say?
  17. He would cry into a scarf???? Oh, this I wish I could see. On another note, I feel like I was a fan of the AW stories that no one else liked. I enjoyed the Cass/Rex (was it Rex? I can't remember the twin's name) and Nicole storyline. I still remember the twin's accomplice being thrown over the balcony and being upset because I liked her. I enjoyed the MAry/Reginald stuff, but I have no recollection of where the storyline went. For some reason, I'm missing Carmen Duncan a lot. She was always Iris to me, and I'm still outraged she didn't win an Emmy for the chief storyline.
  18. It's depressing but not surprising that the remaining soaps do not have decent gay storylines. I bet if most execs had their way, they wouldn't have to include black or hispanic characters either because so many of these writers and execs are stuck in a fifties' mindset. Are there any Asian characters who have a major role in any of the soaps? I haven't watch a soap in years. When a gay storyline doesn't work, they always blame it on the "gay" aspect rather than the idiotic writing or timid storytelling. The soaps are so busy catering to the pearl clutchers and the bible belt that they lose everyone else. The Noah/Luke storyline started off fine, but it got so ridiculous and boring that I didn't care by the end. On soaps, gay men always have to turn to women during an emotional crisis and these gay men always have magical sperm since a baby is always conceived.
  19. I had no idea about this Laura Malone controversy. I wonder what really went on. I see JFP was not the only EP who liked to fire pregnant/new mothers.
  20. Mauceri just goes to show that you can't equate starring in a gay themed film as confirmation that the person will be supportive of the gay audience/gay rights. When these actors find religion, gays and lesbians are always the first group they throw under the bus. They could have made their money from working with gay actors/directors, but they don't care. There was a lot wrong with the gay storyline on OLTL (including the tired and offensive "gay man gets emotional so sleeps with woman" trope) but there were a lot of problems with other storylines. I don't recall Mauceri getting offended by Todd punching Tea for ex.
  21. Thanks for the clarification. I remember reading that Born had done a video complaining about the EP (who I thought was Rauch). Does anyone remember this? If I recall, this led to Bizeau's firing because of her involvement with him. Does this ring a bell for anyone?
  22. I think it was a combination of things including the Dash storyline. Sorel has a really good interview at welovesoaps that goes into this. Interestingly, she never mentions Rauch by name when talking about the producer who produced the show when she left.
  23. The internet search says he left in summer 1991 and Rauch replaced him. Don't know how accurate that is. I just remember reading that Born and Rauch had feuded and Sorel was fired because of Rauch. It wouldn't surprise me knowing what I've read about him, but my memory could be faulty. I didn't always care for Conboy's SB, but Rauch ruined SB for me. Pamela Long helped kill it. She definitely had it, and I wish that behind the scenes turmoil hadn't caused her departure. The Michael/Flame (which used to be on youtube) was so good and the character could have done so much more.
  24. Judi Evans as Nancy would have been an excellent choice. I suppose the show didn't want to pay for two actresses so just shoehorned Evans into the role of Paulina, but her Paulina just never made sense. I always felt that way about Buchanan's Vicky and her disastrous Marley. Vicky lost so much of her spunk and energy and Wheeler wiped Buchanan off the screen when she returned to the show. I'm missing AW a lot today, but I'm not sure why because the show was never stable or consistent starting in 1991. It seemed as if the show was a new one every year. I'd get invested in characters, and a new producer would fire them. I stopped watching consistently when Frankie was killed off. I could put up with the Justine mess, but not killing off Frankie just for effect.
