Pretty much her entire run on AW is available on Youtube. From September to December 1986

Ah, thank you. I've been searching by her name and character rather than by date. Thank you for that.

  2. Speaking of Vicki, does anyone know why Rhonda Lewin/Rhonda Lee lasted such a long time? I don't think I've seen her on any Another World eps or clips on Youtube. I know a couple of her star search appearances were on YT as of last month.

  3. That Karen rant is why I can never fully get behind her. A real woman is only a woman who has children? Come on now! If Gizelle said that, Karen would be all over her for being sexist and dismissive.

I see Rinna's daughter is trying to milk Garcelle's comment for all it's worth. Rinna must have told her that her allowance was at stake. We're seeing a lot more family photos these days. Hmmm..wonder why.

And that preview of Brandi. First, she's starting to look like Adrienne, who is 20 years her senior. Secondly, and I'm no prude, but she reduces everything to the pornographic. This hookup may have happened, who cares, but she's playing it salacious and tacky.

Exactly. It's like a gynaecological exam. This woman has kids. Why is she selling herself for crumbs? This is the same woman who went on one of those boot camp shows to have her father call her a prostitute. It's depressing but at least her outside matches the inside.

  5. Pat the Puss Johnson makes her living because of gay men, but she said nothing about the relentless homophobic attitudes surrounding the big “secret.” Not one word. She sat there looking as if she had been weaned on an expired grapefruit. I know these women have made a pact never to talk about each other’s real-life dramas, but it was disgusting how  “let me perform at gay pride” Erika Jayne never called them out for it.

  6. IT was interesting to hear Alice Barrett say that she was killed off to pay for Robert Kelker Kelly. Yet again a woman is killed off to make way for a man. Most of us knew this but to have it confirmed...just ugh. I also wonder who the actor is that Barrett, Coppola and Tucci didn't like. I think even Browne cosigned.

That was high-caliber Supporting Actress category that year, but really, Parker gave the performance of her career and her reel was a notch above everyone else. Kimberlin Brown may have had the most 'popular' story of the actresses in that category that year, but was really no match for what Parker managed to deliver.

Ellen Parker's was just in another league. It's probably one of the best reels I've watched in any category. If they had put Parker in lead, I think she would have beaten Dano. I really do think killing off Maureen signalled the end of soaps because it showed that producers were willing to do shocking/idiotic things to attract ratings. They ignored the fact that soaps need loyalty and when you do things that are a big f.u. to viewers, they're not going to stick around. Having listened to that sycophantic interview with JFP,  it's obvious the woman still does not get it.

In some ways, I think Tina Sloan never got over Ellen PArker's firing. She just seemed so emotional and upset by the whole thing.

  8. It was so thrilling to see Ellen Parker again. Her story made me dislike JFP even more if that's possible. I was amused that Tina Sloan kept calling her Maureen. It was also touching to her Sloan talk about having to write the letter. MY only quibble is I think Miner tended to talk over the other women especially Sloan.

  9. I'm not a fan of attacking someone for something they did ten years ago. As a gay man, I would like to give her the benefit of the doubt that she's changed her views in the last ten years. We're told Porsha did so why not Candaice? I also think Bravo will be scared to say anything because Candaice is black. IT would start a whole other conversation. Has Bravo called out/fired someone for homophobic tweets?

The Monique stuff is just scummy. Ugh. What is it with some of these women?

Lisa Rinna dancing around in underwear (or whatever the hell she's wearing) as an f.u. to Garcelle's comment? I can't loathe the RHOBH coven any more than  I do now.

  10. I think the Monique illegitimate baby rumour is most likely more complicated than Candiace lets on. I think she's trying to get some positive press going her way since she sees that viewers are on Monique's side at this point. Do I believe there was a convo? Yes.  Do I believe it went the way Candaice is alleging? No.

I could see Lina Rinna totally getting behind something like this, and then playing victim when the fans came for her. Let's not forget how she has basically gone after Denise through her kids.

I haven’t rewatched season 5 in a long time but saw a season 6 marathon one day and honestly as awful as Aviva was, she was a perfect villain during that period the show. I absolutely loved Heather and Carole, and didn’t mind Kristin. It definitely was a much less toxic time on the show compared to season 8.

The core of the two seasons (five and six) was fun while I think the core of the following seasons was anger and resentment. There are so many scenes that I want to rewatch from these two seasons. How can someone not like season five just for Ramona and Sonja googling the definition of white trash?

Watch his oltl one from yesterday...the tea was spilling

He didn't have much to do with AW...so I can see some tea spilled.

I hope so because Alice Barrett could finally put to bed who exactly made the decision to fire her, and who was in charge that made Frankie's death so violent. No one ever wants to take responsibility for that so it'll be interesting if she talks about it.

  13. I had been thinking a lot about seasons five and six of RHONY and I rewatched some of the episodes. It was so entertaining, and there was not the toxic energy of Bethenny 2.0 and Dorinda. Aviva's takedown of Ramona at tea was fantastic. The Heather/Ramona "fight" felt authentic and real since Heather refused to play by Housewives rules. There was a much lighter tone so that even Aviva's ridiculous antics didn't feel as terrible as the fights that happened in seasons seven and on. I also think these two seasons were the time that Sonja could have been stopped from becoming a caricature of herself. Unfortunately, she gave into it in season 7.

RHOP:I think the show is enjoyable, but I have one main problem. It's hard for me to fully get behind the show when there has been no accountability for Michael's actions. I know they need Ashley for the Ashley/Candiace feud, but it's hard for me to get engaged in anything Ashley-related when Michael will still appear on the show.

RHOBH: Just disgusting. Every year, it's the same complaint. Get rid of the mean girls, and every year Bravo brings them back.

    Another Reunion Alert

Alan Locher will reunite ANOTHER WORLD’s Alice Barrett Mitchell (ex-Frankie), Kale Brown (ex-Michael), Alicia Coppola (ex-Lorna), Anna Stuart (ex-Donna) and Christine Tucci (ex-Amanda) on his show, The Locher Room. The live interview will take place on Thursday August 13 at 2 p.m.

What a weird group of people (except Kale and Anna)

LEt's hope that they are allowed to be honest about their time on the show. I've given up on many of his interviews because he never lets them discuss anything in depth.

Oh, getting rid of Heather was a bad move for the series, which Bravo still probably does not fully realise. The show lost a mostly positive Alpha influence who had lots going on and was running her own (interesting) company. But what Skinnygirl wants, Skinnygirl gets. Heather was too much competition for Bethenny. B also completely marginalised Kristen that season.

IMO S8 and S9 were the two seasons i found toxic and hard to watch (excluding the great trip to Mexico of S9). The targeting of Luann (and Jules) was really awful. I never warmed to Bethenny and Carole after that.

For me, everything wrong with RHONY happened in series 7 and that includes Dorinda. In her first season, Dorinda started the whole attack another HW for airtime when she went after Heather for no reason. IT also set a precedent because the show became Bethenny's POV even though she didn't share much of her life. Bethenny's skinny girl pen got more airtime than Heather and Kristin (Kristin who went from sitting next to Andy at the reunion to being a nonentity the next season). After finding seasons five and six a lot of fun, season 7 was torture for me and I didn't watch season 8 except for a few clips. I don't even think I watched the reunion episodes. If I did, I have no memory of them.

  16. I am in the minority then. I hated season seven. It was just so dark and depressing and it felt like one long ad for Skinny Girl. I preferred seasons five and six as they were fun and dramatic, but there wasn't this dark anger that took over in season seven. I also didn't like how they sidelined Heather (even though she was responsible for the big events) and we never got to find out about her son.

I never found TP as pretty or even hot for that matter. All I remember is that his character was always angry. TP shouted and yelled and he called that acting.

I managed to make it through Conboy's tenure and I even liked the Danny/Michelle/Tony triangle everyone hated. Tom Pelphrey was the last straw for me. I never understood his appeal and the hateful storylines. I don't think I ever watched another episode of GL shortly after he arrived.

  18. Please. I saw Nene's instagram and it was her playing victim yet again. They don't have to treat housewives the same because they're not the same. Nene is whining about fairness, but she's always going around trying to get the other housewives fired. This is the same woman who used the blm hastag to get bookings and then quickly took it down when the outrage was immediate. Nene is also the one who spoke against BLM protestors, but then quickly co-opts the blm movement when she thinks it'll benefit her contract negotiations. She's the same one who throws Kim under the bus when she needs something, but then is friends again with Kim when it benefits her (a possible spinoff or a friend on the RHOA show). Kim is this racist piece of trash until NEne needs to use Kim. LVP was hounded off RHOBH at a time when her brother and mother died within the same year. Nene sure wanted sympathy when Gregg was going through his cancer treatments. Nene didn't face a 1/10 of what LVP did but Nene ran off. Did LVP or even Kenya when they had everyone coming for them? NO. Nene brought Yovanna on. Nene made snakegate what it was, and then she didn't want to answer for it. Nene preaches sisterhood, but she gets into a rape joke controversy, and then she hires a lawyer who smears the reputations of Weinstein's rape victims. Nene is having a difficult time because she is unlikeable and she has burned too many bridges with her attitude. You would think she had learned something from Vicki's fate. LEt's be real. She is just MAD that Kandi makes more money than her. That's what this all boils down to.

  19. I wish I had found Passions campy and fun like some did, but I found Reilly's relentless misogyny so disturbing. There was a real anger and mistrust of women in his writing. I always thought JFP's AW was bad, but Passions was on a whole other level.

What boggles my mind is how low Potomac is. I really hope this is their breakout year and they become the 2nd highest rated housewife show on Bravo following ATL.

I wonder if it's because a lot people have never heard of Potomac (the place). I know that sounds superficial, but I do wonder.

  21. MY mother was talking about AW, and she brought up the character of Caroline Stafford. She couldn't remember any storylines she was a part of. She thought she owned an art gallery (the AW homepage confirms this) but that was all she remembered. Did Caroline play any part in storylines? The info on the AW homepage indicates she didn't really have that much to do.

  22. I don't think RHOBH needs to go. I think most of the women do. They are long past their expiration dates, and they are sucking the life out of the show. Erika, Teddi and Rinna have to go for this show to work. I would say Kyle, but I doubt that would ever happen. Garcelle and Sutton bring life to this show, and I was more interested in their scene than anything with the other women.
