  1. A few years ago, someone posted her a SOD profile of Brenda Dickson circa Oct ‘83 after her return. I neglected to save the pages posted. If the person sees this, could you repost? Thank you so much
  2. Did we ever determine when Victor and Cricket first exchanged dialogue?
  3. A rare exception was Mary-Frances Sumner, who was brought back for 1 episode to be promptly assassinated.
  4. Ah yes I found the quote “The job was supposed to go longer but the actors strike stopped production and shortened the length of the season, so my part got truncated’ https://www.tvinsider.com/83676/general-hospitals-jane-elliot-dishes-on-her-awesome-50-year-run-in-soaps/
  5. Jane said in an interview that there were originally bigger plans for Judy, but the 1981 writers strike shortened Knots season 2 along with Judy's arc. I love Judy's line to Abby "I'm not holding the check - you are!" Classic
  6. SL gives a masterclass in parrying the interviewer's inane questions
  7. I only know Wortham Krimmer from his brief villainous stint as Cal Winters on Days from 89-90, which I found underwhelming. How nice to see him in a better role that highlights his talent and charisma.
  8. Wow, Maria is played by Gina Torres, who has gone on to a big Hollywood career. I agree, she is very affecting.
  9. Yea I think she was immediately a hit. She debuted 10/18/94 but I don't think she was on contract at first. Her first month, she didn't appear that much, but by Thanksgiving, the show was all-in for Phyllis. Her first audacious act was on 11/23/94 when she (uninvited) brings baby Daniel to meet his "grandpa" Rex at the Chancellor Mansion. I wish we had this ep! This is right before Rex was killed.
  10. The show didn’t seem to know what to do with the lovely and talented Vivica Fox. That’s ok, it worked out well for her. Soon after she stopped appearing on YR, she filmed Independence Day with Will Smith and the rest is history.
  11. I’ll handle Hair and Make-up!
  12. There’s this https://mega.nz/folder/crsgkagS#6q9DyDTKHVM-Pk1SwiMIlQ
  13. Ah ok so maybe some years, it's treated like a Memorial Day episode in function in that the stories are isolated and won't affect the plot if the ep is pre-empted. But they just don't actually reference the holiday in the script.
  14. oh right! In 2001, there was an ep that was Ryan/Vickie flashbacks. Maybe that was Memorial Day
  15. Does anyone know if 5/25/92 is the last year that the show recognized Memorial Day and used it as a theme? I just skimmed through Mem Day 5/31/93 and it wasn't a Memorial Day-themed episode.
  16. Hi @Maxim just wanted to say I really enjoy your posts, such as this one, and your deep-dives into other soaps like Edge of Night and One Life to Live.
  17. I watched ‘92 a couple years ago… my impression is that Felicia’s story and her romance with Taylor’s brother (forgot his name) wound down, and that they were both written off. Haven’t seen any articles one way or the other, though.
  18. That’s right. Nikki was perhaps going to leave Jack, but she re-committed to him when he randomly saw Victoria drowning in the pool and saved her.
  19. 4/6/92 there is remote footage of Jack driving into the Newman ranch. This is the only time I remember seeing the outside of the ranch. Anyone remember there is remote footage in other eps?
  20. Thank you @Search For Yesterday for 11/11/92! Eps from this time period are very rare!
  21. What would we do without you!
  22. 😂 Interesting that Ashley was introduced as “Scheherezade” when she looked like Barbara Eden in I Dream of Jeannie. Bill Bell liked the name Scheherezade, he used it as the name of a restaurant in a 1974 scene when Lorie spied Jennifer kissing Bruce. I had to google Scheherezade, she was originally a character in the “One Thousand and One Nights” Why didn’t Sheila interact with her in-laws Cricket and Danny 😢 Best performance hands-down was Lauren and Traci! It was an alternate universe performance, as in the regular show they can’t stand each other 😆
