Amanda Gibson arrives with justice in mind.

Kevin spots Lily, looking down at the coffeehouse. He comes over with a latte as an attempt to cheer her up. Lily practically bites Kevin’s head off before rudely telling him to leave her alone. Kevin takes the advice and returns to the bar where he takes the order of a beautiful young woman. Kevin introduces herself, and the woman does the same, saying her name is Amanda and she is new in town. Kevin gives her a drink on the house as a welcoming present. Amanda takes the drink and thanks Kevin. She apologizes for having to dash, but has an important meeting. She tells Kevin that is going to look forward to returning, leaving Kevin all smiles.

Daniel returns to the apartment and is followed by Amber. Amber tells Daniel to never walk away from her again. They’re friends! Friends don’t do that to each other. Daniel reminds Amber that she insulted his wife. What friend does that? Amber apologizes for what she said about Lily. She doesn’t see the big deal though. Daniel says that Lily does see a big deal and it’s ruined their marriage. Lily enters and freaks when she sees Amber. Lily wants Amber out immediately and the ladies get into a little argument. Daniel ends it by telling Amber to leave. Once Amber is gone, Daniel asks Lily if they can talk.

In the Newman break room, David is baffled at Jack and Sharon’s wedding bells in the Chronicle. Phyllis enters and gives her two cents on the matter. David gets up to leave when Nicholas walks in. Phyllis goes for a kiss from her husband, but he stops her. Nick wants to talk about Phyllis’ lie and how it’s ruining the Newman family. Now that he knows, he’s acting differently towards Victoria and Brad. Victoria is starting to sense something. Phyllis tells Nick not to blame her for his feelings. He chose not to tell Victoria. Not wanting to continue the argument, Phyllis decides to leave the room.

Jack and Sharon are in the conference room admiring their wedding bells when David barges in, asking what they were thinking. Jack and Sharon are confused. The media already knows about their engagement. What’s the big deal? David says the announcement is not the problem. Jack is making decisions without confirming it with David first. Jack tells David that his personal life is none of David’s concern, but David sees it differently. When Jack leaves for a meeting, David uses this time to his advantage to get inside of Sharon’s head, saying all the ways that she could be the cause of Jack’s failed campaign.

At the courthouse, William Bardwell is busy at work when his secretary tells him that he has a visitor. In walks Amanda, the woman from Crimson Lights. William asks what he can do for her and Amanda introduces herself as the daughter of Jabot Cosmetic’s victim, Emma Gibson! She informs William that her father recently died and the stress from her mother’s death is likely the cause of it. Amanda wants justice brought to whoever was responsible.

Dru's 'true love' finds it's way back into her heart

As the media rushes to capture the stunning scene around them, Sharon watches in horror, as Jack’s debate comes unraveled. Not knowing what to do, she stands still, keeping her eyes on the ashen face of Jack. Jack, not knowing what was happening, couldn’t muster a word; despite the swirl of reporters demanding to know what he had to say for himself.

Kevin didn’t think is evening could get any worse; not only did he have to deal with handling the arrangements for Jana’s cremation, but he was still dealing with the ramifications that were about to hit his mother hard because of the skin cream tainting. As he walks into the athletic club, his stomach drops even further when he sees Amanda Gibson talking to Gina briefly. Knowing that he would be risking a lot, Kevin made his way over towards her table.

A stone-cold Lauren folded her hands as she gave Michael his only option. Turning his back from her, Michael tells his wife that he can’t just turn away from Gloria when she needs him so much. Lauren tells Michael that it was her selfish need that is costing him his marriage. As the two are talking heatedly, Gloria slips into the apartment, listening to every word.

Sitting on the couch of their home, Neil is talking to Drucilla about his day at work. He tells her that yet again Brad has been trying to weasel his way into the Grandville Global project. Dru tells Neil that Brad is just hating on him. Stroking his wife’s hair, he asks her if she anything interesting happen to her. Smiling a little, Dru tells Neil that she did in fact have some news to share.

    OPENING SEQUENCE

Randall, knowing that he got Jack right where he wanted him, looks on, as the reporters and the rest of the press grill Jack for answers about his illegal doings. When a reporter questions where Randall received his information, he quickly shifts the gears, telling the reporter that Jack’s history speaks for itself; purposely using the recent case against Jabot as a prime example. The media, soon tiring of Jack’s lack of answers, start to turn ugly.

Neil asks Dru about news, curious as to what has put a smile on her face. Looking up at him, she reaches for a magazine, and opens it up to an ad for NVP. Not understanding what she is getting, at, he questions what the ad has to do with the news she has. Excitedly, Dru tells Neil that Nikki and Phyllis (to which Neil’s eyes grow wide over) offered her the job of NVP spokes model. Neil asks how Nikki made that decision. Dru tells him that Nikki regained power and made an executive decision to have a new spokes model. Neil asks her if she’ll take it

Amanda looks up as Kevin approaches her table. She asks why he’s there lurking around. He asks her if he can have a minute of her time. Checking her watch, she tells Kevin to make it quick. Not wasting anytime, he asks Amanda if he can just forgive his mother for what she did; that it was never her intention to kill anyone. Amanda tells Kevin that ‘forgive’ is not in her vocabulary, especially for the woman that took away her family. He again begs Amanda to drop the charges against Gloria. Glaring at him, she tells him there is no chance in hell.

Still standing in the archway, Gloria continues to listen to Lauren berate Michael for being there for his mother. She is completely stunned that Lauren, someone who at one time confided in her, would so quickly turn her back on her. Lauren excuses herself to go into the room to change Fen; and once Michael is alone, Gloria emerges, asking her son if she will take Lauren’s advice and cast her out. Michael tells Gloria that he will not abandon her, especially when she needs him.

Trying to bypass the media, Jack hurries to get to safe territory. Sharon, right behind him, can’t believe the things that were said about Jack in the debate. Could it be true that Jack owned Jabot all along? Not paying attention to Sharon’s being there, Jack mutters that he has to find David, to see how in the world this could have happened to him. As he makes his way towards David’s office, he can see that it is definitely empty. As he looks around, he notices that everything he’s had in his office has been removed. Slumping into a chair, Jack realizes that David left him high and dry.

Handing Drucilla a glass of wine, Neil asks her if she has made her decision about the NVP spokes model position. Holding the glass of wine, Dru tells him it depends on how his feelings are about the offer. Smiling a little, Neil tells her that he thinks that it’s a wonderful opportunity, and that Nikki has made the right choice in wanting her. The two clink glasses in celebration.

At the athletic club, Kevin tries to keep his anger in check. Lowering his voice, he tells Amanda that seeking revenge will never bring her parents back. Appalled at what Kevin has insinuated, Amanda lets him have it; telling him that anybody that would knowingly keep silent about their parents actions isn’t much of a human being. At that moment, JT, who is meeting Amanda for dinner, comes into the picture, warning Fisher to stay away from Amanda.

Michael tells Gloria that she needs to go, since Lauren is still there. Gloria gives her son a quick hug, telling him that she will be forever grateful for his standing by her. When Gloria leaves, Lauren returns, holding Fen and the diaper bag. She tells Michael that he should really get himself out of the mess that he’s put himself in. Sitting on the couch, he asks her what he should do. Lauren tells him that the first step he should take is removing himself as Gloria’s lawyer.

Still sitting in David’s empty office, Jack lifts his head from his hands. Looking around, he asks out loud how it could have come to this. Sitting beside him, Sharon tries to comfort Jack, telling him that despite everything that has happened, she will never leave his side. Staring at her, Jack seethes that she is the last person that he would want by his side. Taken aback, Sharon asks why Jack is snapping at her. He tells her that ever since he found out the truth about her whoring it up with Brad, he can barely contain himself to look at her.

Coming from out of the bedroom, Dru, donned in a robe, goes to the telephone. Sitting on the couch, basking in the afterglow if celebratory love-making, she dials Nikki’s telephone number. As she waits for her to pick up, Dru thinks about how the return to her first love is going to feel. When Nikki, who is on the other end, says hello, Dru tells her that she is more than willing to step into the role of NVP spokes model

Kevin finds himself haunted by a familiar last name

Sharon, opting to head home, still is stunned at how David approached her regarding what marriage would be like with a 'political' figure. Sitting on the couch, she debates on whether to contact Jack and fill him in, or merely brush off the conversation. Letting David's words get the best of her, she puts her call through to Jack. Once Jack answers his phone, she tells him exactly what David has been plotting.

At the Newman ranch, Victor is awaiting the arrival of Randall Bates to go over their plans to bring down Jack. As he is waiting, his eyes lock on a picture of Nikki and he. Picking it up, he wonders how his wife is doing; very well aware that the only people she's willing to connect with are their children. Taking a deep breath, he places the picture back on the table. Once the doorbell rings, he's back into business mode, letting Randall in. Shaking hands, Victor offers Randall a drink. Randall accepts and gets right down to business: he wants whatever he can obtain to use against Jack. Victor's plan is simple; expose Jack so bad that he'll have no choice but to drop out of the race for Senate. Both men raise their glasses in agreement.

Folding her arms across her chest, Lily is hesitant in wanting to re-hash anything with Daniel. He begs her to at least talk to him about their situation. Scoffing, Lily says it's more than a 'situation'. Trying to reach for her, Daniel is hurt when Lily pushes him away. He tells her that she needs to be open in wanting to work on making things right between them again. Flipping out, Lily tells Daniel that she doesn't have to do anything, and that if anyone needs to make things right, it's him, not her. He questions how he can possibly do so if she keeps pushing him away and not listening to him. Lily points out that when she wanted to spend time and be with him, he always brushed her off; and now she knows the reason for that. Daniel tells her that he made a mistake and that he wants. Lily tells him she could care less what he wants, and storms off.

David is heading towards the break room when Jack proceeds to follow behind him. Closing the door, Jack demands to know what David thought he was trying to succeed in rattling Sharon. David points out that he is merely preparing Jack's bride-to-be for the harsh reality of being under the public's watchful eye. He then asks Jack if he's willing to marry a woman with such a checkered past when it comes to relationships. Glaring at David, Jack warns him not to cross that line with him David gives Jack his own warning: be careful with who he spends his time with. The press will rip Sharon to shreds if they smell any hint of fear; and if that happens, Jack will suffer when it comes to getting the people's votes.

At the G.C.A.C. William Bardwell is looking over the Emma Gibson file when he sees Michael coming in and being seated. Glancing over at him, William debates on filling him in about the case. Returning the case file back into his briefcase, he picks up his drink and heads in Michael's direction. Michael immediately grimaces when William sits across from him, demanding to know what he could possibly want now. Sitting his drink down, William informs Michael that he was informed that Tim Gibson passed away. Shrugging his shoulders, Michael questions what that has to do with him. William continues by telling him that he's re-opening the case of the tainted skin cream. Demanding to know what possible reason he would have to do so now, Michael is floored when William admits that the daughter of the Gibson's is in town and demands that justice be served.

Adrian is at his apartment putting the final touches to the romantic evening he had planned for Colleen. Checking his watch, he had just a few more minutes to make sure everything was in place, before her arrival. Dimming the lights, he turned on soft music, and lit the candles. The minute the doorbell rang, he was there at the door, letting Colleen in. Looking around the room, Colleen is in awe at the romantic setting that she sees before her. Smiling a little, she coyly asks him what the 'special ocassion' could be. Wrapping his arms around her, he tells her that he wants to spend his last night with her before he leaves for his new position. Seizing his mouth with hers, she kisses him tenderly, praying that their night could last forever.

At Crimson Lights, Amanda Gibson walks in and spots Kevin, who is behind the counter, wiping up some latte that was spilled. He immediately smiles when she comes up to the counter. He teases her by asking if she's coming back for another latte on the house. Smiling a little, Amanda tells him that she wanted to return to say thanks for welcoming her to Genoa City, as well as purchasing a mocha latte. Getting her drink for her, he asks her if she's in Genoa City for just a short stay or if she has plans to stay longer. Amanda lets him know that her business will keep her there for awhile. Kevin soon remembers that she never gave him her last name. Taking a sip of her latte, Amanda tells him that her last name is Gibson. Kevin immediately feels a cold shiver run down his spine when she says her last name again.

Michael: This is not a joke. That skin cream case is being re-opened
Kevin: Mikey, I think we could be in some serious trouble here.

Katherine: Cane, you need a fresh start. Why not start it by working for my company?

Lauren (at Fenmore's): I want to talk to you both in the back, NOW!
Amber and Lily (in unison): But she started it!
Lauren: I don't care who started it, go to the back room this minute.

Dru's meddling gets her into trouble with Lily

Sharon and Noah are returning from his stay with Phyllis and Nick. He heads upstairs to take his backpack and other things to his room. While Sharon is going through the mail, she thinks about how tense Jack became during their romantic night together. Shaking it off as typical business, she calls Noah down to ask him about his time spent with Nick and Phyllis. When he bounds down the stairs, he quickly fills her in on how Phyllis and Nick were acting distant towards one another. Sharon asks if he is sure that they were fighting; to which is assures her. Noah tells her that when he woke up, he saw Nick fast asleep on the couch downstairs. When Noah leaves, Sharon ponders her conversation that she had with Nick a few days earlier.

At the G.C.A.C. Colleen is re-reading the letter that Adrian sent her. The more she reads it, the more she realizes how much she misses him. Folding the letter up, she begins to make her way towards one of the tables to take orders. As she is taking down the patrons orders, she spots Daniel coming in and quickly smiles in his direction. When she walks his way, he asks her if she has time to talk. Colleen tells Daniel to give her a few minutes to get her table's order in. As he sits at the bar, he thinks about all the damage he's done to his marriage to Lily. After their fight, she make it a point to ignore all of his phone calls, and even brush him off when they would pass one another in the halls at college. When Colleen returns, she asks him what's up. He is hesitant at first, stating not wanting to get Colleen in the middle of his troubles with Lily. Colleen brushes his fear off and tells him that she's willing to help, just as long as he's willing to listen.

At Jabot, D.A. William Bardwell is in full swing, talking to Paul and Maggie about what he expects them to do regarding the skin cream case. Paul questions him as to where they should begin. William immediately informs both detectives that he wants all Jabot employees to give a DNA sample, stressing not to skip anyone. Maggie asks Paul if Ji Min would need to present one; William tells her that although Ji Min came shortly after the fallout, to still keep a close eye out on him. As they are talking, William sees Michael from a distance staring at them. Both detectives and William board the elevator to begin their process. At the other end of the hall, Michael is perplexed by not being in the 'know' of what's taking place.

Drucilla is looking over some Clear Springs photo shoot proofs when a young gentleman knocks on her door. Looking up she smiles when he comes in to give her a few envelopes. When she asks him if he's just started at Newman Enterprises, he tells her that he is a new intern. He introduces himself as Eric. As the two are talking, Lily comes in to see if her mother is ready for lunch. Dru immediately starts talking up Lily to Eric, who can't take his eyes off of her. When he leaves, Dru gushes to Lily that he is a good looking young man that obviously have things going for him. She continues on to say that once Lily kicks Daniel to the curb, Lily can find love with someone that is worth it. Not being able to deal with Dru's constant interference, she barks that Dru needs to mind her business and stop trying to run her life. Her problems with Daniel are her own; and if and when she decides that it's the end, she'll be the one to call the shots. Dru tries to apologize, however, Lily, no longer in a mood to have lunch, walks out.

At Newman Enterprises, Phyllis walks into the break room and sees Nick pouring a cup of coffee. Closing the door behind her, she teases him by asking him if he has a cup for her. He pretends not to hear the joke and takes a seat at the table. Sensing that things are still not right between them, she sits across from him and demands to know what his trouble is. Putting the cup down, he stares at her, asking if she's seriously asking a question as such. He tells her that ever since she took it upon herself to hold Brad's affair with Sharon over their heads, she's caused nothing but trouble for the Newman family. Phyllis tries to deflect the blame by stating that Brad and Sharon were the cause of that, however, Nick's not hearing it. He slams Phyllis for manipulating the situation to her advantage, and because of her, he can't do anything that will hurt his sister.

Later that day, Paul is at the G.C.A.C. when Michael approaches him. Sitting beside him, Michael asks Paul what he has to share with him regarding the case. Paul tells him that all DNA testing on the Jabot employees came back negative. Sighing a little, Michael tells him that it most likely will mean that William will not have anything to resume the case. Shaking his head, Paul stops Michael's thought quickly, by adding that there are two Jabot employees that still need to be tested: Jill and Gloria. A sick feeling suddenly washes over Michael at announcement of his mother's name.

Jill (in Los Angeles on the phone): Are you telling me that William has re-opened the case? I don't believe it!
Ji Min: Believe it, Jill. You and Gloria are the last two they are waiting on.

Amanda: Who would have thought I would be getting served coffee by a Jabot employee.
Kevin: What's that supposed to mean?

Phyllis (approaching Victoria): I was wondering if you had a few minutes. There's something that you need to know.

Katherine gets an earful about Amber

Things are hard for Phyllis at Newman Enterprises. Trying to keep her mind off of the fact that Nick didn't come home, Phyllis keeps herself busy by working on a concept for Clear Springs. Unfortunately, her concentration is broken when Nick walks in the office. Phyllis immediately approaches her angry husband, but stops in her tracks when Nick hold up his hand for her not to come any closer. She asks why he didn't come back to the house last night. Scoffing at her question, Nick raises an eyebrow, asking her, what difference did it make if he did or if he didn't.

Colleen heads back to the table that Lily is sitting at. She begins to talk about how Adrian is going before the dean to resign from his job. When Lily doesn't focus in on what Colleen is talking about, she realizes that her best friend's mind is on something or someone else. She immediately asks her if she's thinking about Daniel and his looking at porn. Lily tells Colleen about how he pushed her away from making love with her. When Colleen tells her that he could have been merely tired, Lily snaps that Daniel is too far into porn to be tired; he's tired of her and might be craving finding someone that looks like the women on the web.

Brad and Sharon run into each other in the hallway of Newman. Each of them are tense about seeing one another. Sharon quickly makes a beeline for the break room, and Brad follows right behind her closing the door. Sharon tells Brad that they are on a path of destroying many lives, and that the best thing for them to do at that exact moment is to stop being around one another. Brad doesn't agree, but when he sees how upset she is, he relents and tells her he'll do whatever she wants.

In Phyllis' office, Nick and her get into a heated exchange of words, so loud that Jack, who is on his way to talk to Phyllis is startled. Opening the door, Jack immediately asks what's going on. Nick glares at Phyllis and tells her in front of Jack that he will be staying that the athletic club. Pushing past Jack, Nick slams the door behind him. The minute he's gone, Phyllis breaks down in tears, blurting out that everything is her fault. Jack, not knowing what she means, simply hugs his former wife.

At the coffeehouse, Lily quickly shelves her problems and focuses in on Colleen's delimma. When Colleen tells her that she has to find a way to keep Adrian from ending his career because of their seeing one another, Lily quickly offers up a suggestion of her own: enroll into another college. Hugging her friend, Colleen quickly rushes to GCU to stop Adrian from making his fateful decision.

At Genoa City University, Adrian prepares to meet with Dean Tate, to discuss his decision to withdraw as professor of art history. He's about to knock on her door when his cell phone rings. Looking at it, he realizes that it's Colleen calling him. He slowly places the phone back into his coat pocket and knocks on Dean Tate's door.

Jack, still at Phyllis' office, continues to console her the best way he can, without pressuring her to talk about her problems with Nick. The two are talking when someone knocks on the door. Phyllis tells them to come in, and as the door opens, they see that it is David Chow. David immediately apologizes for interrupting, however, needs to talk to Jack. Jack sensing something is wrong, tells David to just tell him what's going on. David informs him that since Nikki backed out of the race, someone else filling in the spot: he will have an opponent after all for the race of Senate.

Daniel comes to Fenmore, in hopes of picking out a little gift for Lily, when he sees Amber coming from one of the fitting rooms. She is more than thrilled to see him, and immediately gushes about how once Cane starts fully becoming a Chancellor, she'll never have to work hard again. Playing along with her, Daniel starts listing all the things that Amber will be able to do now that she's a wealthy wife. Amber tells Daniel that no matter what, she's got her man and will soon have all the money that goes along with him.

Across the other side of Genoa City, Katherine is taking some time to clear her head after her emotional talk with Cane. She's so absorbed in her thoughts that she doesn't hear someone calling her name. When the person calls out to her again, Katherine snaps out of her moment and looks up to see Stephanie Forrester walking in her direction. Katherine is immediately surprised to see her friend and asks her what brings her to Genoa City. Stephanie tells her about having a quick business meeting with Lauren Fenmore. The two women begin talking about family when the topic of Cane's marriage to Amber Moore comes up. Katherine marvels about how enchanting the young woman is, to which Stephanie immediately chokes up at. Stephanie tells Katherine that Amber is anything but enchanting, and begins filling her in on all the dastardly deeds the girl has done to her and her family while in Los Angeles. Katherine can't do anything but listen to every sorid detail.

Nikki wants to do something about Brad for hurting their daughter. Victor assures Nikki that Bradley Carlton will get what he deserves at some point in time. Nikki hates the fact that Brad still has a job at Newman. Victor gets a call from someone and is very mysterious about saying anything in front of Nikki.

Phyllis stands up from the chair, telling Victoria that she doesn’t have to take this from her or anyone else. No one talks to her that way. Victoria also stands and chews Phyllis out, saying that her decision to blackmail Brad and Sharon about the affair, have not only cost her Nick’s trust, but it also made Victoria look like a fool. Victoria tells Phyllis that she doesn’t like being labeled a fool. Again, Phyllis tries to apologize, saying that things just got out of control. Victoria has heard enough and slaps the taste out of Phyllis’ mouth!

Sharon takes the newspaper out of Jack’s hands and tells him that she was going to tell him. She was hoping that she would get to him before the papers exposed it. The reporters work fast in this town. Jack is furious about what Sharon has done. Sharon tells Jack that they weren’t even together when she and Brad slept together in New York. Jack doesn’t give a damn when Brad and Sharon slept together. The fact is that they did and this will ruin his campaign. The media will look at Sharon as nothing but common whore.

Cane admits that although he loves architecture, he is becoming bored, just designing. He would rather get his hands dirty. Katherine has the perfect idea.

Nikki asks if the phone call had anything to do with Jack’s campaign. Victor kisses Nikki on the forehead before leaving the ranch, not answering his wife’s question.

Tears are starting to fill within Sharon’s eyes. Jack tells her that he will not let her tears get to him. What she has done is unforgivable. Sharon apologizes and tells Jack that she will explain to the reporters everything. Jack tells Sharon not to say a word to anyone and keep her mouth shut. Sharon believes that it will look good if Jack’s fiancé says something regarding the affair. Jack tells Sharon she is no longer his fiancé! Jack storms out of the house, as Sharon chases after him, tripping and falling to the floor. She breaks down by the door.

That way, he could be out on the grounds, seeing everything firsthand. Katherine feels Cane is qualified, but worries how Jill may take this sudden change in decisions. Cane tells Katherine that he will speak to her.

Phyllis tells Nick that Victoria slapped her for no reason. Victoria would hardly describe keeping the truth about Brad and Sharon’s affair “no reason.” Nicholas tells Victoria that Phyllis is not to blame for the affair. She needs to take her problems up with Brad and Sharon. Victoria never thought she would see the day when Nick chose a woman over his family. Victoria tells Nick that he is just like their father and then storms out of the office.

David walks into the athletic club to find Jack at the bar. Jack assumes that David heard the latest scandal to come out of Genoa City. David believes they can get past this one. In fact, he knows they can. Jack tells David that it should be easier as he has cut Sharon out of his life for good. David tells Jack that is a bad idea. Jack is confused. David tells Jack that if he dumps Sharon, that shows that he is not willing to work things out and it may discourage particular voters. David advises Jack to stay with Sharon, at least until he is elected senator. Afterwards, it doesn’t matter.

Victor arrives at one of the unopened NVP spas. He calls someone and tells them to come inside, that he is there. Victor sits down on the couch after pouring himself a drink. The door opens and footsteps are seen walking into the spa. Victor looks up and thanks the person for coming on such short notice. He is hoping their information will bring down Jack Abbott once and for all. The camera pans up and reveals Victor’s visitor as Mamie Johnson!

Jack's world publically spins out of control for all to witness

Time is ticking for Jack, as he plans for his first political debate with Randall. As he’s going over his notes, Sharon walks in the door. Looking up, he can tell that she’s still upset at Nikki’s decision to fire her from NVP. Putting his notes down, he goes over to her and suggests that she go along with him to get her mind off of what has happened. Sharon tells him that she will be there by his side, just as he has been by hers.

At the Athletic Club, Victor and Randall are discussing things regarding the debate over lunch. Holding the folder with the damaging information on Jack, Victor hands it over to him. Opening it up, Radall sees the copy of the will along with information that Jack was in fact the owner of Jabot. Closing it, Randall tells him that when Jack is least expecting the other shoe to drop, he will unleash the cold hard truth for all to hear.

Devon is getting ready to head out to meet friends when he passes by the bathroom door. Stopping in mid stride, he hears Amber singing. He’s pleasantly surprised by how good she sounds. Making his way down the stairs, he quickly scribbles a note for her to meet up with him at Crimson Lights.

Dru exits the elevator, heading for Nikki’s office. When she arrives, she is surprised to see that Phyllis is there. Nikki cuts right to the chase; they need a new NVP spokes model; and she’s the one that would be perfect for the job. Dru immediately asks what happened to Sharon. Nikki tells her that now that she owns NVP, some changes needed to be made. An excited Dru asks them if she can talk it over with Neil and get back to them. Phyllis and Nikki agree to let her take some time.

Lauren, still at Michael’s wants to know what possessed him to run off with their child. Michael tells her that he was so hurt that she left him that he wasn’t thinking rationally. He asks her why they can’t work on things. Lauren tells him that she can’t stay with a man that has lied and covered up things from her. She tells him that if he ever wants to have a chance at reconciling he has only one choice; stop defending and protecting Gloria. He tells her that he can’t just turn his back on his mother; Lauren says that if he wants to be a part of her life, as well as Fen’s, he will need to let Gloria pay for all her crimes.

Amber meets up with Devon. Handing her a caramel latte, he asks her how long she’s been singing. She tells him that she’s been singing since she was a young girl; it’s the best release she has when she wants to pour her heart out. Devon admits to hearing her sing while she was in the shower and expresses how wonderful her voice is. Blushing, Amber eats up the compliment. She eats up more of his praise when he tells her that she would be perfect for a record. Just then, Lily, who has walked in, looks at them from a distance.

At the Athletic Club, JT is hard at work on the weight machines when he notices Amanda walking in. Stepping away from the equipment, he approaches her, surprised to see her again. Amanda smiles and asks him if he has a membership there. When he tells her he does, he asks why she wants to know. Amanda tells him that she’s thinking of joining. Flirting with her, JT says maybe she should join him for dinner so he can tell her of all the things about Genoa City. Amanda happily agrees to go out with him.

When Amber leaves the coffee shop, Lily, quickly approaches Devon, sharing her dislike for his getting close to the woman that caused her marriage so much trouble. Devon tells Lily that she needs to deal with her issues with Amber on her on; he has nothing to do with them. Hurt that he’s not taking her side, Lily tells him she wishes the blonde would just leave Genoa City for good. Devon tells Lily that if she wants Amber gone, he may have the exact opportunity to make that happen. He quickly excuses himself to go make a phone call.

The debate between Randall and Jack is in full swing. People all over Genoa City are either listening at the actual debate, or have turned on their television sets to see what is to come. The debate turns ugly when Randall slams Jack for being a man that lacks integrity and family values. Jack tries to defend himself, stating that his father has always taught him the meaning of being a man of honesty and integrity; both in business and within the family. Randall asks Jack if he thought it was honest and a sign of integrity when he purposely forged a new will to oust his father’s wife out of anything that was owed her. Randal continues on to say that it must have been that same ‘integrity’ that had him plot and scheme to use another man to front his buying back the company he was tossed out from. Jack is completely numb as photographers snap images of his world falling apart around him.

JACK: Face it Sharon, the only thing you're good at is offering amazing sex.
SHARON: I'm not going to stand here while you insult me.

NIKKI: Victor, despite all that you have done for me, I still need time to think things out regarding us.

DRU: Oh, I know I didn't just hear you say you're taking a trip to Los Angeles with that hootch Amber?
DEVON: This is business, Dru, nothing more.
DRU: Whatever it is, I'll be damned if I let my son get wrapped around that girl's finger.

Brad refuses to be pushed out of his unborn child's life

At Jabot, Ji Min is heading towards Jill’s office to give her the remaining files he had on some of the cosmetics projects that he was working on. When he enters the room, Jill is thrilled to see him. She immediately assumes that Jack has hired him back. Ji Min immediately corrects her, telling her that he came to drop all of his notes/documents for the cosmetic line. Jill tells him that he should fight Jack to get a position back at Jabot. Ji Min tells her that Victor Newman offered him a position and he’s already accepted.

Nikki and Victoria are at the athletic club. Victoria is not pleased by being corned by Brad, who demands to know why she didn’t inform him about the visit to the doctor. She tells him that she no longer has to inform him of anything. Brad grabs her arm and tells her as long as she’s carrying his child; he wants to be informed of what’s going. Nikki warns Brad to back off. Glaring at her, he tells her that if her daughter wants to go to court, he can have that arranged. Letting go of her arm he tells Victoria either let him be a part of the baby’s life or prepare to fight for custody.

Colleen asks Lily again about the breast implant brochures. Not able to hide the fact that she is in fact interested in having a surgery, Lily admits that she has thought about it. Colleen is stunned that her friend would be so willing to change her body to keep her husband interested in her. Lily notices Colleen’s uncertainty, and hastily tells her friend that she’s only reading about the procedure and most likely won’t do it.

Sitting in his den of the Abbott mansion, Jack kept going over the figures and groaned in frustration. How could he be that short in shares to put towards Katherine’s stocks? After looking at the figures again, he closes his eyes to ponder what he plans to do. As he’s thinking, it suddenly registers in his mind that when Brad quit, he took his share of stocks from Newman. Picking up the telephone, Jack contacted Brad, informing him that he has a great business idea.

Shortly after Brad leaves, Nikki talks about the nerve of him to threaten Victoria like he did. Victoria tells her mother that he stands no chance of getting her child. Nikki excuses herself to go to the ladies room. Victoria is looking her purse for her lipstick when she spots JT with Amanda. Dropping her lipstick back in her purse, she watches them, feeling somewhat envious that JT is with Amanda.

After spending time with Colleen, Lily decides to go pay her father a visit. When she comes in, Neil is more than happy to see her, asking her how her day is going. She tells him that all is going well for her. Looking around the house, she asks if Dru is home. Neil tells her that she’s at work doing some mock photo shoots to. Lily, pleased to hear that, starts talking to Neil about her desire to take a few ‘summer classes’. Neil thinks it’s a great idea. Lily says that all she needs is a little help to get started. Smirking, Neil tells her to let him know how much she needs and she’ll be all prepared for summer. Lily tells him exactly what it will cost for her ‘classes’.

Phyllis: “Well, as your boss, I can run you all over the place if I feel like it….”

Daniel: “So when were you going to tell me about your summer classes, Lil?”

Katherine: “For heaven’s sake, Jill. Cane and I merely had dinner together. It was nothing planned.”
Jill: “Save it Katherine! For months now, you’ve been weaseling your way into my son’s life trying to make up for your sins.
You will NOT keep me out of my son’s life this time!”

Devon's houseguest has Daniel seeing red

Sharon walks into the Newman break room to see Phyllis pouring a cup of coffee. Sharon informs Phyllis that Noah talked to her about the arguments that he’s witnessed between she and Nick, and voices concern about his being caught in the middle. Phyllis tells Sharon that all children see parents arguing from time to time. Sharon reminds Phyllis that she is his mother, and as a parent, she wants to make sure her son doesn’t have to endure hearing or seeing their bickering. As she is walking out the door, Nick comes in and sees that Phyllis is upset. He asks her if she got into another argument with Sharon. Phyllis points out that Sharon doesn’t want Noah exposed to their arguments. Nick agrees and tells Phyllis for the sake of Noah, they will work on their issues in private.

At the Baldwin home, Gloria is finding every excuse to keep from going to Jabot to do the DNA testing. Michael tells her that the walls are closing in on her and she might as well face the fact that William Bardwell and his trusty detectives will get that DNA testing; either by cooperation or by court order. Gloria seethes that Jack is the cause of all of this; and that if John were alive, he would never allow them to do this to her. Michael points out that if John were in fact still alive, she might be out on her butt once he learned of how devious she was. Grabbing her purse, Gloria realizes that Michael is right. She tells him that she will go to Jabot, take the test and hope that all fingers will point in another direction.

At the Abbott estate, Jack is on the phone with someone that wants to set up a one on one lunch meeting with him. At first, Jack is leery of the idea, however, remembering David’s advice on getting the citizens of Genoa City to see him as a candidate that cares about their views, decides to meet her at the G.C.A.C. When he hangs up the phone, he picks up the newspaper, looking at the latest developments of the skin cream case; the same case that lost him the company he loved.

Daniel is not pleased seeing the sudden closeness between Amber and Devon. As the two of them talk, Daniel cuts in, asking why Amber is there to begin with. Devon tells Daniel that Amber needed someone to talk to, and thought he’d invite her over to take her minds off her troubles. Seeing another opportunity to ‘milk’ her situation, Amber laments that now that Cane has kicked her out of the apartment, she doesn’t have enough money to stay somewhere. Before Daniel can even get a word in, Devon tells Amber that she can stay there for the night. Excusing herself, she goes upstairs to the bathroom. The minute she is gone, both guys start to argue with one another about Amber. Lily, who is coming in, happens to see the heated exchange, and is upset as to why both would be arguing over Amber of all people.

Nick stops by Victoria’s house to see how things are going for her; especially on her day off. When she opens the door, she greets her younger brother, asking what brings him over. He tells her he merely wanted to see how his sister is doing. Victoria gushes about celebrating her one year anniversary with Brad. Nick asks her if she is truly happy with Brad. She tells him that Brad is the one for her; that he truly loves her. Nick grows quiet, unsure if he should tell her the truth about who Brad really is. Sensing his distance, she asks him what is on his mind. Nick tells her that he found out that Sharon and Brad had a tryst a week after their wedding. Victoria is furious at what Nick is saying, and accuses him of lying to her. When he tells her that Sharon confirmed it, she demands that he leave her alone. Once gone, Victoria collapses on the couch in tears.

At the G.C.A.C. Jack meets up with the young lady that contacted him for their one on one. Smiling, he takes a seat across from her and tells her she can ask him whatever she wishes to regarding his plans if he is elected Senator. Taking her opportunity, she asks Jack about Jabot, and if the scandal surrounding the company would affect his chances of being Senator. Jack is hesitant to answer and immediately directs a question in her direction. He asks her what her name is. Extending her hand, she tells him that she is Amanda Gibson; the daughter of the family he destroyed. When Jack gathers his words, he tells Amanda that he was not the cause of her mother’s death. Amanda, not interested in his excuses, tells him that she will be the one responsible in ruining any chances he has in winning the senate seat.

Back at the Baldwin house, Gloria and Michael are sitting in silence after returning from taking the DNA test. Gloria tells Michael that she has nothing to worry about; once the testing comes back negative, they can divert their attentions on the real culprit: Jack Abbott. Michael receives a phone call from Lauren, and heads to the other room. Alone, Gloria walks over to a picture of John. Picking it up, she looks at it, telling him that she will be strong. Holding it close to her, she continues to talk herself into believing that she will be safe from blame. Moments later, the doorbell rings. Michael, who has ended his call, opens the door to see Det. Maggie Sullivan. Maggie informs Michael that after getting the DNA results back, they are ready to make an arrest. Michael asks who the person is that is going to be arrested. Maggie, holding the warrant, tells Michael that Gloria’s DNA matched and she has to take her in.

Katherine comes across something from Phillip's past.

Phyllis is checking her watch, impatiently waiting for Drucilla to meet her at the athletic club. Peeking around the corner, she sees that Jack and Jill were conducting a meeting with Brad and Sharon. The minute she spotted them, she knew that it had to be about their new cosmetic line, Genesis. Sighing heavily, she shakes her head, fearing that Dru would trip her up in trying to get some information about their project. When Drucilla finally arrives, Phyllis barks that she’s late. Dru tells her to pipe down and for them to get started in getting what information they can. The two women make their way around to a location where they are able to hear the group’s conversation.

Across the way, Jill and Brad are discussing some of the layout of how Sharon’s photo shoots should go. As they are talking, Sharon asks Jack if he had a good 4th of July. Jack, trying to make peace with the woman who betrayed him, tells her he did. At a silent moment between them, Jack thinks he hears Phyllis bickering with someone at a distance. Shaking it off, Jack asks Brad if he has some of the different designs for their cosmetic line logo. Brad tells them that the representative that he is meeting with will get back to him within two days. Jack, still sensing that Phyllis is there, excuses himself to check things out.

At Indigo, Neil is going over an order when Olivia stops in. Smiling at his sister-in-law, he asks her how she’s settling in. She tells him that all is fine and she can’t wait to see some more of her friends. Neil asks if she has decided if she wants to be in Genoa City for good. Nodding her head, she tells him that Genoa City has always been her home and that she feels that it is time to return to what she knows. She also admits that while she was doing medicine out of the country, she just kept feeling that her family needed her, therefore, she decided to come back. Hugging her, Neil tells Liv that the family are more than glad to see her again.

At the Chancellor mansion, Katherine, upon requesting Esther to bring down some boxes from the attic, is sifting through the mementos. Cane comes from the kitchen with a pitcher of lemonade. As he sits beside her, he asks her what she hopes to find. Shrugging a little, she tells her that she just felt like looking through of Philip’s things that she’s kept. Rubbing his forehead, Cane points out that he hopes she’s not doing this as a way to find some sort of way to make amends with Jill. Katherine notices an envelope and pulls it out of the box. When she opens it, she discovers a picture of what looks to be a woman standing next to him. Taking the picture from her, Cane tells her that something is familiar about the female, however, due to the slight blurriness, can’t truly make it out. Katherine takes the photo and stares at it, curious to know who it could be.

Victor and Nikki are checking out the stables of the Newman ranch, when Nikki notices that things haven’t been kept in order for a few days. Shaking his head, Victor thinks that it might be beneficial if they hire on a new ranch hand. Nikki tells Victor that it might be a good idea and wonders if he has anyone in mind. Victor says that he will put out a request in the paper and conduct interviews of those who are interested. Looking around a bit, Nikki moves closer to Victor and asks him if he would like to take advantage of the privacy they have in the stables. Victor smirks a little and plants a kiss on his wife.

Back at the athletic club, Phyllis and Dru are bickering at one another, while trying to attempt to get some dirt about Genesis. The two argue off and on, not realizing that someone has come up behind them. Both women stop talking when they hear a familiar voice asking them what they think they are up to. Turning around, both Phyllis and Dru are looking up at a curious, but slightly ‘amused’ Jack.

Nick could be cooking up a recipe for disaster

Devon is taken back when Drucilla appears so adament against his trip with Amber to L.A. Devon tells Dru that he feels this is good for him, to experiance a new big city. Dru tells him that he'll have plenty of time to do that, after college and certainly with people better than Amber. Neil tells Dru to cool it and again thinks this is a great idea. H esays Devon has had a rough year and this may do him some good and he is an adult and should be able to make his own choices and he looks at Drucilla. Dru backs off and says ok to the idea but you can clearly tell she is just doing it to make peace, not that she really agrees with the idea.

Daniel wishes Amber luck going back to L.A. Amber tells him she'll need it because when she left L.A it wasn't exactly on good terms. Daniel tells her at least she'll have someone in her corner, Devon. Amber smiles and tells Daniel she is really excited that Devon is coming with her and she is happy for him too because it will give him a chance to spread his wings. Amber hugs Daniel and thanks him for being one of her only friends through her "Genoa City Experiance" and tells him she'll never forget him and walks out the door. Daniel smiles and then calls Lily. He asks her if she would join him for the Newman dinner and to his delight she agrees.

Lily arrives at Colleen's house and tells her about the date with Daniel.
Colleen is happy for Lily and is glad her and Daniel are getting back on track. Lily tells Colleen with Amber gone, they can focus on themselves without any distractions. Noah demolishes Nick in the video game and asks his dad if they could invite Sharon to the Newman dinner. Nicolas tells Noah thatif he wants her there, she'll be there. Noah is elated and hugs his dad and then says he is going to go check some stuff on the computer and as he walks by Phyllis she puts on this fake smile and then glares at Nick. Nicholas asks her what is wrong. Phyllis tells Nick that she doesn't think its a good idea if Sharon is there based on what all has been going on. She says she doesn't want her there and Victoria certainly doesn't want her there. She says it will only stir up more trouble and this dinner is supposed to be a way of trying to put that aside for a bit. Nicolas tells Phyllis that as Noah's mother she has every right to be there and he tells her everyone is just going to have to deal. Nicolas phones Sharon and invites her to the dinner and she accepts.

Jack storms into Jill's office while she is on the phone and if looks could kill, Jill would be dead. Jill tells the person she'll call him back and then asks Jack what is up. Jack shuts the door and asks Jill if she was serious when she suggested Bradly possibly rejoining Jabot. Jill tells Jack that Brad is a good businessman and now that he is a free agent and with Jabot still in a world of financial trouble he would be an asset. Jill also informs Jack that as CEO she makes the decision whether to hire him or not and the decision has already been made, that she is going to hire Brad.

Brad and Victoria are arguing. Brad informs Victoria that he doesn't have to take her abuse and that if he wanted to be a real jerk, he could sue her for half of her money since there was no pre-nup involved. Victoria snarks back and tells him that if he even tried he would never ever see his child so he better think long and hard before he tries anything. Victoria tells him that everything from here on out happens on her terms. He lost the right to dictate this marriage the minute he jumped into bed with that slut she used to call her sister in law. Just then the phone rings as Brad and Viki continue to glare at each other. Brad answers the phone. Its Jill. Jill tells Brad that if he wants it, the job at Jabot is his. Jack is steaming mad in the background and Brad tells Jill he accepts.

JT is given a new assignment

Daniel is preparing to head out to work when Amber comes by unannounced. The mere sight of her makes Daniel upset again at the fact that Lily has left him. Noticing that he's not thrilled to see her, Amber asks what the problem is. He snaps that Lily left him after finding out about all the porn sites he was looking at. Waving her hand, Amber tells Daniel that she'll get over that, to which he immediately shoots down. He points out that Lily is aware that Amber is in charge of the Strangers by Night website. Amber smiles and tells Daniel that she has a sure fire way to help keep his mind off of his marital strive: come to the Chancellor party that is being thrown for Cane and her.

JT is at the G.C.A.C. drinking when Paul approaches him. Rolling his eyes, JT tells Paul to save whatever lecture he is prepared to make. Sitting beside him, Paul immediately pushes the drink JT has to the side. He informs him that he's re-opening the case involving Jana. JT asks him why that should concern him, reaching for his glass of whiskey. Paul tells JT that he is putting him on the case effective immediately. When JT balks at the assignment, Paul blasts JT for his recent actions, telling him that not only is he harming those around him, but himself: either take the assignment or face being fired.

At Newman, Daniel is making the rounds, delivering mail when he sees Drucilla stepping off of the elevator. Before he can muster up words to her, she pulls him into the breakroom. Shutting the door, she confronts him about hurting her daughter. Daniel tries to explain that his viewing the websites weren't on a regular basis, but Dru has none of his excuses. She blasts him for his troublesome ways and threatens to make sure Lily and he are over for good. Neil, who is looking for Dru, walks in on the heated confrontation and tells Dru to back off a bit. Neil stuns Dru when he says that most men who look at porn are in healthy relationships.

In another area of Newman Enterprises, Jack and David are meeting up with Randall Bates. Jack is curious to know why he suddenly wants to toss his hat into the ring. Randall admits that when he learned that Nikki stepped out of the race he wanted to have a go at going up against the great Jack Abbott. The three men are emersed in their conversation when Victor Newman rounds the corner. Jack immediately ushers Victor over by them, introducing him to his new competitor. Victor and Randall smile as the two shake hands.

Lily and Colleen meet up at Crimson Lights for the daily coffee ritual. While there, Colleen tells Lily that she's excited to be going to a new college and moving forward in a open relationship with Adrian. Lily, not in the mood of hearing Colleen bask in her happiness, tells her to make sure that Adrian doesn't do to her what Daniel has done. Colleen thinks Lily is blowing the matter out of proportion, reminding her of their previous conversation. Lily can't believe that Colleen finds it to be a minor issue and accuses her friend of siding with Daniel. Colleen makes the mistake of saying that Lily always seems to want to give up rather than working things out when problems occur. Lily grabs her things and storms off.

Katherine is going over the menu with Esther at the Chancellor Estate. She tells her loyal maid that she wants to make sure everything is perfect for her big 'welcome' for Amber. Esther notes that Katherine seems to be more excited than usual for this event. Katherine smiles as she explains that she wants to give Amber a night she will never forget. Once Esther leaves, Katherine makes her way towards the bay window. Although she knows the truth of who Amber truly is will hurt Cane, she is absolutely going to enjoy bringing the blonde gold-digger down to the ground.

Victor, who has returned to his office, goes through some proposals when someone knocks on the door. Without looking up, he tells whoever it is to come on in and close the door behind them. The person who has entered the office tells Victor that Jack hasn't got a clue as to how bad things are going to get for him in the race for the Senate seat. Looking up, Victor smiles and comes from behind his desk. As he makes his way towards the person, he extends his hand and shakes the hand of Randall Bates. Victor tells him that their plan to bring down Jack will start effective immediately.

Jill publicly gives Gloria her walking papers

The town of Genoa City is in a buzz the following morning, as news hits about the arrest of Gloria Fisher Abbott. The minute Jill steps off the elevator of Jabot; she is immediately swarmed by reporters demanding to know what Jabot plans to do in regards to Gloria. Trying her best to shoo them away, she is rescued by Ji Min, who announces to the reporters that they will discuss everything in a press conference. Once inside her office, Jill tells Ji Min that she needs to call Katherine. The more help they have in getting the sudden press conference together, the better.

Across town, Lauren is reading the Genoa City Times, completely stunned at the news she’s reading about Gloria. She doesn’t have to guess where Michael or Kevin are; they are definitely with their mother. Taking a look at the newspaper again, she debates on whether to go to the police station or to await their arrival. Either way, Lauren was about to find out what in the world Gloria could have been thinking when she decided to ruin so many lives.

Jack and David are at Newman Enterprises, discussing ways that they can avoid serious damage to the campaign, thanks to Gloria’s skin cream contamination. Both agree that the best plan of salvaging his campaign is to get the press to focus on Gloria’s hate towards Jack and how she went to great lengths to destroy him. David feels that once the press knows how devious she is, they will paint Jack as the victim. Jack tells David to do whatever he can to get the press back on his side.

At the police station, Michael and Kevin are allowed to see Gloria. She immediately runs to them, tears filling her eyes. Kevin tells Gloria that if they need to raise the bail money, he will be more than willing to put up Crimson Lights as a way to get her out of jail. Michael tells Kevin that he will take care of everything; including legal representation. He leaves Kevin and Gloria to talk to one another. Moments pass when Michael returns with Maggie Sullivan. She informs Gloria that bail has been set and she is free to go home.

Brad makes an appearance at Sharon’s house. Sharon asks him why the sudden need to come by. Brad let’s Sharon know that Victoria confronted him about the two of them. She asks how Victoria found out; Brad tells her that only one person would be more than happy to spill the beans. Sharon begins to talk trash about Phyllis. Brad says he will do whatever it takes to make Phyllis pay for her underhanded schemes. Sharon wonders what Brad could possibly have in store.

Randall and Victor are at the Newman ranch talking about the Jabot skin cream case. Victor feels that this is the right information they need to cripple Jack. Randall questions if this will truly break Jack’s spirits and break up his campaign? Victor points out that he knows that Jack is doing all he can to keep his name squeaky clean, therefore, they use whatever they can to discredit Jack; and the one sure fire way is by bringing up his dirty dealings where Jabot is concerned. He wants to depict Jack as being a man who would resort to the most devious tactics to get what he wants. Randall asks where they should begin. Victor pulls out a file of all things Jack Abbott.

Lauren is immediately full of questions when Gloria and her sons arrive. Gloria, in full denial mode, tells Lauren that someone had to have ‘framed’ her for the skin cream contamination. Michael tries to reassure his wife that he will do whatever he can to defend Gloria; pointing out that strong evidence is needed to make a conviction, and a DNA test alone doesn’t necessarily mean that she was the one to contaminate the cream. As they are talking, Kevin, who has turned on the television, announces that Jill and Ji Min are holding a press conference. Rushing to take a seat, Gloria is more than curious as to what the two of them will have to say concerning her arrest and Jabot.

Jill and Ji Min are answering questions from the media about the arrest of Gloria. Katherine, who is on the sidelines, is proud that the two of them are holding their own against some of the damaging questions being thrown their way. One reporter asks if Ji Min had any reservations in taking Jabot shortly after the contamination. He informs the reporters that when he took Jabot, he was well aware of what had happened, and hoped to have succeeded in getting the company’s reputation back on track. Another reporter asks Jill what Jabot plans on doing about Gloria Fisher, now that she has been exposed. Not hesitating one bit, a furious Jill looks straight into the camera as she announces that as of this moment, Gloria Fisher Abbott is no longer an employee with Jabot Cosmetics.

Victor (talking to Nikki and Victoria): Bradley Carlton will pay dearly for playing with the Newman family. You mark my words; he will regret messing with us.

Lauren: All of this time, for all these months, you stood idly by, covering up the crimes of your mother.

Ji Min puts Jack on serious notice.

At the Newman tack house, Phyllis is asking Noah what he would like to have for dinner that evening. He immediately shouts out for pizza and Phyllis is all for it, until Nick quickly shuts down the idea. Phyllis makes the mistake of telling Nick that they should allow Noah to have what he would like, to which Nick snaps about. When Phyllis sees Noah's look of confusion, she quickly changes gears and tells Nick that he's right and that they should eat something else. Noah begins to protest but stops when Nick gives him a glance. Summer, who is upstairs, begins to cry, sending Phyllis to go check on her. Once she is gone, Noah immediately asks why hs father and Phyllis are fighting with one another. Not wanting to get into it, Nick lies and tells him that he's just alittle stressed and that all is fine between the two of them.

Lily is having lunch with her Dru and Neil at the G.C.A.C. when Neil brings up the subject of Daniel into the conversation. Dru, grimaces and tells Neil not to ever say that troublemaker's name as long as she's standing near him. Lily is more than happy to inform them that Daniel was at the apartment, talking to Amber. Without mincing words, Dru has some serious words to say about Mrs. Ashby. Neil immediately cuts Dru off, telling her that although Daniel made a very dumb mistake, he's trying to work things out. Lily can't believe that her father is being so calm about her husband's porn habit. Dru tells Neil that there is no way that she will ever allow Daniel Romalloti near their daughter again. Neil tells Dru that she should mind her business; the marital problems that Lily and Daniel are having are theirs to work on; not them.

When Sharon comes to the Abbott estate, she notices a large arrangement of flowers decorating the master living area. Jack smiles, telling her that he hoped to take her minds off of all things business and put the focus on romance. Sitting on the couch, Sharon is in awe at the arrangement of strawberries and chocolate sauce on a platter. Taking a bite, she tells Jack that it is definitely what she has been needing. He, coming over by her, apologizes again for David planting doubts in her mind about what marriage would be like with him. Waving it off, she tells Jack that David is just too determined for his own good. Jack proceeds to kiss Sharon but is interrupted by his cell phone. Frowning, he looks to see that it is Ji Min on his ID. Standing up, he promises to make his conversation with Ji Min quick. Ji Min tells Jack that there are some serious matters that they need to discuss. Jack, not in the mood to hear the latest antics of Gloria, tells him that it can wait. Ji Min tells Jack that regardless of how he feels, they will be talking with one another: today. Before jack can get a word in, the phone call ends.

In Los Angeles, Jill is relaxing in her master hotel suite when her telephone rings. Picking it up, she is pleased to hear Cane on the other end. He asks her how she's liking Los Angeles, and she lets him know that although working on Extreme Catwalk has been grueling, she's loving the whole atmosphere. Cane tells Jill that he has good news and hope that after he tells her, she will be happy. She jokinly says she'll be so happy to return to see no more Amber, but realizes that it must be bigger news based on his tone. When she asks him what his news is, he tells her that Katherine offered him a position at Chancellor Industries and that he agreed to take the job. Jill is shocked and upset that Katherine went behind her back and coaxed Cane into taking a job. Cane tells Jill that he's willing to give Katherine a chance; why can't she just be happy for him. Jill points out that while she isn't mad at him for accepting the job, she is beyond digusted at Katherine for her actions.

Jack tells Sharon that despite the phone call, they will continue their romantic evening together. Work is on the backburner for the evening, as far as he is concerned. Sharon smiles at that thought and Jack leads them towards the table that is set up for dinner. As the two are sitting down, the doorbell rings. Dismay appears on Jack's face as he heads for the door. Once he opens it, he's upset to see that Ji Min has took it upon himself to come over despite Jack's protests. Ji Min, seeing Sharon, quickly apologizes for interrupting their evening, but stresses the importance it is to discuss something with Jack. Sharon, not wanting to be in the middle of anything, tells Jack that she will go out on the patio for a bit. Once she is gone, Jack snaps into Ji Min for his pushiness. Ji Min disregards him and tells Jack that once he learns what is going on, he will be glad to be in the 'know', especially where Jabot is concerned. Jack asks what he's talking about. Sighing, Ji Min tells Jack of the visit that D.A. William Bardwell made with him. Jack is floored when Ji Min announces that the skin cream case is about to be re-opened adn that everyone, including Jack and Ji Min, himself, will be in the hot seat.

Katherine is in the middle of talking to Eshther when the telephone rings; not getting up, she lets Esther take the call. Esther immediately tells Kay that Jill is on the other line and that she's angry. Taking in a deep breath, Katherine takes the phone and waves Esther away. When she says hello, all she can hear is Jill yelling at the top of her lungs about her once again meddling in her son's business. Once Katherine is able to get her voice heard, she informs Jill that there is nothing wrong with wanting to help Cane by giving him a job; she owes him that. Jill snaps back that if it weren't for Katherine to begin with, Cane would already have a family that he would know, love and cherish. Because of her actions, Cane will never get that back, nor will she. Before Katherine can continue their conversation, Jill tells Katherine she has nothing more to say and abruptly ends their conversation.

Victor has the ammunition to crumble Jack

Mamie Johnson standing in the doorway, smiles as Victor approaches her with a hearty hug. As she steps in, Victor closes the door behind them, for complete privacy. Offering her a drink, Victor asks her if she has the information that he is looking for. Mamie assures him that once he sees what she has, he'll be as surprised as she was.

Phyllis, still rubbing the cheek that was slapped, looks on as Nick slumps into a chair. She immediately tells him that she is sorry that Victoria said the things she said to him. Nick, not concerned about his sister's words, tells his wife that although he's not at all happy at her actions, he will do whatever to stand by her; even if it means going against his family to do so.

As Gloria makes way into the athletic club restaurant, she can hear the sudden whispers as she makes her way towards the bar. Gina comes from the back of the restaurant, and upon seeing Gloria, has a scowl on her face. Quickly making her way towards her, Gina tells Gloria that she has a lot of nerve coming to her restaurant. As Gloria looks on, she notices everyone looking at her.

    OPENING SEGMENT

At the Baldwin home, Lauren is laying into Michael for covering up Gloria's crime. Michael tells Lauren that Gloria didn't set out to intentionally hurt someone; that she wanted to teach Ashley and Jack a lesson about not giving her respect as the wife of John Abbott. Lauren tells Michael that Gloria didn't care about getting respect; all she wanted was the Abbott power to swim in. The question comes up about their marriage. Turning her back on him Lauren quickly tells him that there is no marriage without trust; and the day he covered up Gloria and Kevin's crimes was the day their marriage died. Michael instinctively tries to hold her, but is pushed away. He begs her as to what he should do? Staring at him icily, Lauren tells him that for his sake and for the sake of his career, he should cut all ties from Gloria and make her fend for herself.

Back at the Abbott house, Jack is thinking over David's suggestion to continue his 'relationship' with Sharon. Anger sets in again, as he thinks about having read about Sharon and Brad's affair in the newspaper. Grabbing a glass, he pours himself a stiff drink of scotch. Letting it hit the back of his throat, Jack closed his eyes and thought again about David's words. He did prove to have a valid point; as long as he kept stayed with Sharon, and gave the public the knowledge that they were to wed, then the most likely he will continue to try to keep his image from being tarnished. Placing the glass on the counter, Jack grabs his keys and heads out the door.

Victor, sitting across from Mamie, holds a file in his hands. He asks her if this is in fact enough information that is needed to put Jack out of commission. Taking a deep breath, Mamie explains to Victor that she paid John a visit when he was in jail. While there, he voiced concerns as to Jack doing whatever he could to block Gloria and her family from receiving anything if he died. Victor asks her what John might have suspected Jack of doing. Pointing at the file that Victor is holding, Mamie lets him know that John was well aware of the fact that Jack fixed a new will. When Victor opens the file, he is astonished to see a sealed envelope with the words "Last Will and Testament" inscribed.

Gloria tries to put on a dignified demeanor when Gina tells her that she wants out of the athletic club. As people continue to stare in distain, Amanda makes her way into the club. Glaring in Gloria’s direction, she takes a seat across from her; all the happier to see what would transpire for the woman that killed her family.

At Newman Enterprises, Victoria and Nikki return to Nick’s office to discuss some things regarding Brad. Nikki is none-too-pleased to be staring at her daughter-in-law, and makes it a point in insulting her for the mess that she’s created. Victoria, not backing off, tells Phyllis that while she was so eager and ready to bust another person’s indiscretion, she failed to remember that she was just like Sharon; the tramp that went after another woman’s man. Not standing anymore of their attacks on Phyllis, Nick tells both his mother and sister to back off. Regardless of what happened, he will not allow anyone to talk trash about his wife.

Colleen and Abby are returning back to the Carlton house from a day of swimming when Brad descends downstairs. Colleen can automatically tell that something is troubling her father. Seeing Abby in good spirits, Brad asks his young daughter if she had fun playing with Colleen in the pool. Abby tells him that she had a lot of fun, but wishes that Victoria was there to play with her. Not wanting to show his emotions, Brad tells Abby that Colleen is a wonderful ‘big’ sister to have play dates with. Abby asks both why Victoria hasn’t been home. Brad, along with Colleen has no words for the young girl.

Sharon, sitting on the couch, studies the engagement ring on her finger. She wonders how she could have let things get so out of hand. She managed to keep herself in her home, afraid to venture out for all of Genoa City to see. Continuing to study the ring Jack gave her, she is startled by the ring of her doorbell. Hoping to God it isn’t the press; she peeks out and is surprised to see Jack. When she lets him in, he tells her that he wants to stay engaged to her. When she asks why, Jack quickly lies and tells her that he can’t lose her love. Falling into his arms, Sharon gives him a hug. Jack tells her that they should set up a photo of their engagement for the newspapers.

Kevin decides to show up at the athletic club. Upon his arrival, he witnesses a large group of people staring at someone. When he gets closer, he realizes that his mother is there. Coming over, he asks Gina what’s going on. Before Gina can say anything, Gloria bellows that Gina is throwing her out. Kevin asks Gina how cold she could be; Gina tells Kevin that his mother is the cold and calculated one. When Gina is suddenly called away, Amanda slowly makes her way over to them. She tells them she has something to say to the both of them.

    COMMERCIAL

Gloria immediately goes into apologetic mode when Amanda starts in on the two of them. Not caring for her words, Amanda blasts Kevin for having such a hateful, vindictive mother. Kevin, for the first time, is unable to defend his mother. Amanda further adds salt to the already ego wounded Gloria by telling her that she isn’t just a murderer but a cold hearted bitch that was so willing to stoop to such levels to get what she wanted. When a waiter comes past them with a platter of drinks, Amanda grabs two. Dumping the drinks on both of them, Amanda says to have a drink on her.

Mamie, knowing that Victor has always wanted to bring Jack down, expresses concern that she will be named as the person that gave him the ammunition to use. Closing the file, Victor assures Mamie that he will not inform anyone, including Jack of her being the one that presented her with the will. He tells Mamie as far as her visit is concerned, it never happened. Quickly hugging Victor, Mamie heads out. The minute she is gone, Victor, flips open his cell phone. He tells Randall, who is on the other end, that they have a lot to celebrate: he has the one thing to blow Jack out of the water.

In Victor’s office, Nikki and Victoria are discussing the Brad and Sharon situation. Victoria voices that now that Brad and she are married, he’s over his head in believing that he will obtain more power. Nikki assures Victoria that they will be rid of Bradley Carlton once and for all. Sitting in a chair, Victoria asks how that is possible, since he’s obtained a position on the Newman board. Looking out the window, it dawns on Nikki what their option should be. She tells Victoria that one way to remove Brad is to buy him out; and Victor is the one person that can set the plan in motion.

Gloria's trial begins and Lily's family rush to stop her from making a grave mistake

    Genoa City Courthouse

REPORTER: Today is an intense day here in Genoa City, as those await the trial of Gloria Fisher Abbott.
As many may remember, Jabot Cosmetics faced a big lawsuit when a product of facial skin cream went out, only
to be discovered to be tainted. During that time, employee, Andrew Gibson’s wife, Emma Gibson died after using
some of the cream. At the time, it was believed that justice was served, only to discover that new developmentspoint in the direction of Mrs. Gloria Fisher Abbott as the mastermind behind the tampering. Today is her day in court
and the people of Genoa City will await to see if true justice will be served.

As jury members find their spots to sit, and citizens of Genoa City make their way into the courtroom, Michael, Gloria and Kevin attempt to find seclusion from the rabid media that are awaiting to pounce on them with heated questions.

GLORIA (smoothing her over the top dress): Michael, you’ve got to win this case. We’ve got to win this case.
It never was supposed to happen like this. I didn’t mean for anyone to die (breaking into tears).
MICHAEL: For God sakes, Gloria, get a hold of yourself. We can’t have you breaking down before the trial even
gets underway. (Looking around) Listen, when you take the stand, you are going to do whatever,
I don’t care how, but you are going to do whatever to get the jury to side with you. Do you understand me?
KEVIN: Michael’s right, mom. You’re going to have to do a performance of a lifetime in hopes of getting out
of this. Especially if William has that surprise witness.

Rubbing the back of his neck, Michael clearly is not pleased to know that he’s not on top of his game as to finding out who William’s witness is. Sighing, Michael goes to a door and peeks out to see who all are still arriving.

MICHAEL: We better head into the court room. As much as we want, we can’t avoid our fates now.

    Jabot Cosmetics

BRAD: Jack, before Sharon gets here, we need to work on a way to get her to reveal some key information
    regarding NVP if we can.
JACK: I am way ahead of you, Junior. I was thinking the same thing. It shouldn’t be too hard to get her to open
up about NVP. Look at it this way, Sharon’s been scorned by the Newman clan just as we have, so, I think
    she’ll be willing to share.

(Sharon enters the office, greeting both Jack and Brad)

SHARON: I hope I’m not late. I was catching a bit of the news before coming here. I hear it is a madhouse at
the courthouse for Gloria’s trial. Jack, why aren’t you there? I know you want to see justice served
    regarding Gloria.
JACK: Well, Sharon, at this point, I really could care less about Gloria Fisher. I think Amanda Gibson is doing a
good job at making her pay.
BRAD: (briefly looking at Jack): Sharon, I was curious about something. Before you were removed from NVP,
did you have any hands on knowledge about any of their plans to shape the company?
SHARON: Yeah, I did. Why do you ask?
BRAD: I was curious as to know just how much you were involved with NVP duties.
SHARON: Well, because I was the spokes model, I would sit in on their meetings about new product ideas they
compiled. I know that they have a new product idea that they are working on now. I know at the time they
didn’t have anyone heading it up.

Both Jack and Brad look at one another, realizing that the hiring of Ji Min Kim was to head up a new product for NVP.

    CRIMSON LIGHTS

COLLEEN: Lily, I wanted to apologize for blowing up at you the other day. I shouldn’t have. I guess I’m just
    worried about my best friend.
    LILY: No. No, don’t be sorry. I was way out of line for making some of the comments that I did about you;
especially after how hurt you were that Adrian was giving you a hard time.
    COLLEEN (extending her hand): Friends?
LILY: Definitely, Colleen. You’ll always be my best friend. (Checking her watch) You know, I should be going,
I have a lot to do before Daniel gets home.

Lily grabs her cell phone and bids Colleen good-bye. Minutes after Lily leaves, Colleen’s cell phone rings. Turning it on, she begins to talk.

    COLLEEN: Hello?
RECEPTIONIST: Mrs. Romalotti, I just wanted to call to confirm that your operation is scheduled for one
o’clock this afternoon. See you then.
COLLEEN: WHAT?! Wait! Hello? Hello? (Looking at the phone, realizing it’s not hers, but Lily’s). Oh, God.

    Colleen immediately dials Daniel’s number

COLLEEN: Daniel, thank God you answered. Lily’s going through with the surgery. You’ve got to do something.
DANIEL: Are you sure? She’s supposed to be meeting me this afternoon.
COLLEEN: Well, Daniel, she lied. Look, you’ve got to tell Dru and Neil. They need to know.
DANIEL: You’re right. I better call them now.

Nikki, Drucilla and Phyllis are looking over the possible photo shoot plans for Chaos. Drucilla, for once, actually likes Phyllis’ photo concepts.

NIKKI: I must admit, I never thought I would see the day when Drucilla Winters and Phyllis Abbott Newman
would agree on something. Utterly amazing.
DRU: Relish in it for now, Nikki, cause you know that it ain’t gonna last.
PHYLLIS: Anyways…. I think the whole name, Chaos alone screams many possibilities for us. Today’s woman has
so many things that bring chaos into their lives; work, family, relationships. Those three are excellent
    photo shoot concepts.
NIKKI: Oooooh, I am seeing such possibilities with this, ladies. We definitely have to thank Ji Min for such a
    brilliant formula.
DRU: Mmm hmmm. Ji Min is definitely our gain, honey. We should be thanking Mr. Jack Abbott for firing the man.

As Nikki and Phyllis are talking over more ideas for the three concepts, Dru’s cell phone rings. Stepping to the side she answers it.

DRU: Drucilla Winters. Daniel, what’s up? Hold on, Daniel you have to slow down. What’s going on?
DANIEL: You need to get to Memorial Hospital right away. It’s Lily.
DRU: God! What’s happened to my baby?
DANIEL: Nothing yet, if we can get to her in time. Colleen called and said that she’s on her way down there for surgery.
DRU: Say what. Surgery for what? Lord, Daniel ,you better start talking and fast, boy.
DANIEL: Look, get Neil and meet me down at the hospital before one and I’ll explain everything.

Dru grabs her things. Phyllis is first to approach Dru with what she’s heard.

PHYLLIS: What’s going on, Dru? Did something happen to Lily and Daniel?
DRU: No, but I got to get out of here and down to the hospital now so I can find out what’s going on with my baby.
PHYLLIS: Go. Nikki and I will handle everything, Dru. I hope everything is alright with Lily.
    DRU: Girl, so do I.

Her smile soon turns into a small frown when he explains that he can't make it to dinner after all due to a sudden assignment he was given. Amanda quickly tells JT that she truly understands and that maybe he can stop over when he's done. JT tells her that he will definitely make it a point to get there.

Not that far from Amanda's sight, Michael and Gloria are having dinner together. Gloria glares in Amanda's direction and makes a comment about how Kevin couldn't get her to back down. Michael expresses his displeasure at the continuation of confronting the young woman. Michael tells Gloria that if she has any hopes of getting off she needs to stay away from Amanda. When Michael puts his hand th his forehead, Gloria asks Michael if he will in fact help her win the case. Taking his mother's hand, he tells her that she need not worry; he'll make it his number one priority in helping her win the case.

At Fenmore's, Lauren is preparing to close up early when Katherine pays her a visit. Lauren is happy to see her and gives her friend a hug. As the two women talk, the subject of Michael comes up.Lauren tells Katherine that it disgusts her to see Michael bending over backwards for the woman that caused so much pain in so many lives. Katherine waits until Lauren has gotten everything off her chest. Katherine asks Lauren that if she were in serious trouble, would she want Michael to be there for her, even after knowing all that she has done; Lauren answer yes, but before she can interject, Katherine contines to talk to her. She tells her that no matter what, Michael will never stop loving her. She points out that Michael must do his job as the office of the courts and that his mother is the only one she can turn to.

Outside of the athletic club,Amber, who is making her way to Devon's farewell party, bumps into Cane, who is coming in to pick up some carry-out. Cane, obviously still angry at what Amber did to him, tries to make a quick hello to her. Amber, however, wants to rub it in Cane's face that she is moving on to bigger and better things. Smiling a little, Amber tells him that she has plans of being well-known. and be a big star. Cane curtly tells her that's good for her, and proceeds to leave, but not before Amber boasts that her name will be far much well-known than Chancellor.

Nikki, who is still taking refuge at one of the suites at the athletic club is completely surprised to receive a telephone call from Victor. She asks what has prompted him to contact her. Victor wants Nikki to stop over at the ranch. When she asks what it is in regards too, Victor simply tells her that it's a surprise and he hopes to see her soon. As they end their conversation, Nikki is more than willing to find out what the Great Victor Newman is up to.

Neil and Drucilla are all excited to see the look on Devon's face when he comes in to his farewell party. Although he was well aware of the party, Dru still wanted to make it his night. Lily, who is at the party with Daniel is thrilled for her own reasons; no more Amber. When Devon finally arrives, Dru's mood is immediately beginning to sour. Standing at Devon's side is Amber, who was waiting for him to arrive so they could appear together. Neil, not wanting to dampen the mood, puts on a brave front and makes the best of the celebration. Lily and Daniel, however, are curious to see what Dru will do. Dru approaches Devon and gives him a warm embrace, kissing him on the cheek. When Devon is out of earshot, Dru makes her way over to Amber, telling her that if she were any type of woman, she would leave; after all, it's a family celebration. Feeling uncomfortable, Amber makes up an excuse and leaves the party. Neil locks eyes on Dru and merely shakes his head at her.

Cane's carry-out order arrives and as he's about to leave, he accidentally bumps into Amanda, who is preparing to leave. Helping her collect the things that fell out of her purse, he apologizes for being in such a rush. She waves it off and smiles at him, telling him she's fine. Smiling back, Cane offers to buy her a drink. Checking her watch, Amanda tells him that she has to get going but maybe some other time if she sees him. As she is leaving, Cane can do nothing but smile as he watches her leave.

At the Newman ranch, Nikki, who was surprised with a intimate dinner, tells Victor that she really had a good time with him. Taking her in his arms, Victor kisses her lightly on the lips. Holding her close, he asks her if she wants to move back home; stating that it is time for them to get back together. Nikki pulls away briefly and tells Victor that she is not comfortable with moving back in; that there is a lot of things that need to worked on in their relationship. Victor kisses her again, this time letting her know exactly how much he wants her to be with him. Whispering in his ear, Nikki tells him that although she turned him down to move back home, it doesn't mean that she can't spend the night with him. Taking his hand, she leads him to the bedroom, where they give each other a night to remember.

Michael is the bearer of bad news for Gloria

In Los Angeles, Jill and Gloria are going over ideas on how to answer questions about Extreme Catwalk when the press arrives. Gloria is on a natural high in regards to being the center of attention, telling Jill this is the life she's always wanted to live. Jill r eminds her that even the slightest bit of fame can be dangerous. Waving the notion off, Gloria grabs a pair of sunglasses and tells Jill she's going out to see the 'sights'. As she is walking out the door, Jill's cell phone goes off. Reaching for it, Jill is surprised to hear Ji Min on the the other end. She asks him how things are going in Genoa City and is surprised when he tells her that things aren't going well. Walking towards the window of her suite, she questions what is going on. Ji Min explains to her that William Bardwell has re-opened the skin cream investigation, and conducted DNA testing on all Jabot employees. Jill is outraged at why the matter is now being re-hashed again. Unbeknownst to Jill, Gloria, who returned to retrieved something, has heard a large majority of the conversation.

At Crimson Lights, Kevin is looking at the Genoa City Times when one of his co-workers come in to start their shift. At the same time, Amanda, who is also carrying a copy of the newspaper, finds a sit not too far from the counter. While she is reading the front page story regarding the new developments of the skin cream case, she can't but help listen in on the conversation that is taking place between Kevin and his employee. Kevin makes mention that none of this mess would have happened if it weren't for Jack Abbott's callous and insensitive behavior towards others. Across the way, Amanda lets a small smile play at her lips at Kevin's words of dislike towards the man that cost her family everything. Her smile however turns into a frown when the co-worker asks Kevin if he was working at Jabot during the time the case originally began. She can't even fathom why Kevin would ever would want to stay at a place that did so much damage to so many lives.

Cane is on his way to go to Katherine's when Amber arrives to collect the rest of her belongings. Once inside, she can tell that Cane is in no mood to talk to her. She quickly makes her way to the room to retrieve the rest of her things. As she is coming out, she asks him if he can ever forgive her for what she did, he quickly tells her that he will never forget what she did to him, and that if she's hoping for any reconciliation, she's wasting her time. Opening the door, waits for her to walk out into the hall before slamming the door shut.

Victoria, not too keen on being there with Phyllis, opts to just return at a later time. Phyllis, not at all happy at how things are going between Nick and her, asks Victoria to stay for a bit to talk. Sensing something strange, Victoria asks Phyllis what's really going on. At Crimson Lights, Amber walks in, completely upset by Cane's coolness towards her. As she's getting her a latte, she bumps into Devon, who is picking up an order he called in. He at first doesn't say anything to her, until he notices how upset she is. Taking a seat beside her, he questions what is wrong. Amber begins to lay it on thick about how hurt she is that she's lost the one person that she felt believed in her. The water works begin to fall and Devon, not really knowing what to do, simply gives her a hug. As the two hug, however, it is clear that Amber has found her next pawn.

A frantic Gloria is on her cell phone, in hopes that Michael will answer. When he comes on the other end of the line, Gloria is in a fit of nervousness as she asks him about the skin cream case. She demands to know why she wasn't called immediately about what was going on. Michael, who is just as on edge as she is, tells her that there was not much he could do to prevent the case from being re-opened. She questions if all eyes are focused on Jack, since he's still considered the number one target. Michael tells her that regardless of how much they hate Jack, he is not the one they are waiting on. When she questions what he is talking about, Michael tells her that only two Jabot employees are in need of DNA testing: Jill and herself. Gloria refuses to believe that William will find anything that will connect her back to the tampering, but Michael silences her by telling her that she has no other choice but to return to Genoa City and face the music.

Daniel: Mom, I don't know how I'm going to get Lily to ever trust me again.
Phyllis: I'm on Nick's list of least likely to trust again, too, so I guess we're in the same boat.

Neil (chuckling): Are you telling me that your mom was actually trying to play matchmaker?
Lily: Dad, it's not funny. Why can't she stop meddling in my life?
Neil: You of all people should know that your mom is front and center in anything that concerns her children.

Brad: I hope we have many, many more anniversaries to celebrate, Victoria.

Neil comes over, and after looking at the images, tells Dru that Phyllis chose some good shots. Dru is pissed that Neil opted to side with Phyllis. Neil reminds Dru that she should be thinking of what's best for the image of NVP, not just the image of her.

On her break, Amanda is pleased to find JT at Crimson Lights. JT begins to smile when he notices how excited she seems to be. She tells him that Victoria is sending her to South Dakota to head up promotion for a project at one of the Newman headquarters. JT is puzzled as to why she's going out so soon in her job. Amanda says she doesn't care, just as long as she's given the opportunity to prove herself. As the two are getting coffee, Amanda comes up with a wonderful ideal. She asks JT how he would feel about leaving Genoa City and joining her on the trip to South Dakota. Opening up a binder, she shows a few images of 'before' and 'after' pictures. Lily, not realizing that Colleen is focusing her attention on her behavior, is more than excited to see how much of an improvement a surgery can do. Colleen stops Lily's ramblings by asking her point blank if she's thinking about having surgery. Closing the binder, Lily tells her best friend that she's thought about it but has not made any decisions yet. Colleen tries to warn Lily about making a hasty decision, but Lily tells Colleen that it's her choice to make.

Back at the Romalotti apartment, Daniel is looking for some paperwork he misplaced. As he's going through things on the counter, he notices a brochure for breast enhancement surgery. Picking it up, he begins to wonder as to why Lily would have it to begin with.

Victor plants a kiss on his wife's cheek, as he sits down to join her for lunch. Nikki immediately talks to her about Jill moving out of the mansion. Victor tells Nikki that Jill and Katherine have a lot of wounds that need to heal, and that it takes time. The two are enjoying lunch when Nikki remembers Jill's cutting comments at her earlier on. Placing her fork on her plate, Nikki asks Victor how he would feel if she decided to come back home. Victor, delighted to hear this, tells Nikki that he can have her belongings brought to the house immediately. Grabbing his hand, Nikki shushes Victor; telling him that while she is moving back home, she wants them to focus on making their relationship work. Leaning over, Victor kisses his wife

    ON THE NEXT GENOA CITY

Adrian: "I see nothing wrong with women wanting to enhance their bodies a little bit. I mean, you don't need any work in the breast area,
but I'm sure you may think there are other areas where you could use some modifications."
    Colleen: "Excuse me? Modificiations?"

    Nikki: "Victoria, what's wrong?"
Victoria (handing her the divorce papers) "He's actually going there with this."
Nikki: "That smug son of a bitch. We're not going to let him get away with this."

Jill: "I am all for that. I need to do some celebrating for a change."

With NVP back in her control, Nikki tosses out the trash

A distraught Lauren, who is with Katherine, can’t believe that Michael has taken their child from her. Katherine tells her that she needs to rest, but Lauren argues that she can’t rest until she knows that her son is fine. In tears, she requests that Katherine makes a phone call to Paul.

Kevin, who has been given the responsibility of taking care of the remains of Jana, is contacting the morgue to come in to visualize the body. When he hangs up the phone, he grabs his keys in disgust. All he can think about is having the reign of Jana gone from his life forever.

Sitting in his kitchen Brad checks his watch. He wants to make sure that he gives Jill plenty of time to get to the office before he makes his phone call to set up a meeting to present some ideas about Jabot. Making his way to the door, he goes outside the check the mail; and to his dismay, he finds an envelope that is clearly marked with the address of a law firm.

Over on the other side of Genoa City, Nikki is feasting on a fruit salad, relishing over her ideas of the changes she has in store for all involved with NVP. Victor, having left ahead of time, has given her the go ahead to do what she feels is necessary; and now that the company is in her hands again, she has one big change that she wants to make; and it begins with a certain ‘troublesome’ blonde.

    OPENING SEGMENT

Walking the halls of Newman Enterprises, JT makes his way towards Victoria’s office. When he knocks on the door, he is surprised at how happy she is to see him. Embracing in a quick hug, she lets JT inside, closing the door. Sitting back at her desk, she asks him when he got back; to which he explains the day before. She asks if he’s seen Colleen, but he brushes it off by asking her if she would like to go out for dinner to talk some. Victoria declines, telling him that a lot has changed since he’s left, and that going out may not be the wise thing to do.

Opening the envelope, Brad reads the decree in the divorce papers. As he is flipping through the pages, he feels tightness in his stomach as he sees Victoria’s signature on the final page. Placing the papers on his coffee table, he decides that he needs to get business in order. Dialing Jill’s number, he tells her that he would like to see her as soon as he can to discus Jabot business.

At the morgue, Kevin ruefully identifies Jana. When he is asked what should be done with the body, Kevin requests to spend a moment alone with the body before making his decision. When no one is with him in the morgue, he relishes at the fact that Jana got what she deserved. He hisses that he wish it was he that did her in, and wants to ‘thank’ the person that put an end to her. When the mortician comes back in, Kevin tells him that he can cremate her as soon as he can.

Paul immediately comes to the Chancellor mansion. He quickly embraces Katherine and makes his way to a distraught Lauren. He informs her that he received the police report that she did the following night. Lauren tells Paul that he has to arrest Michael for kidnapping. She’s upset when Paul tells her that no charges can be brought against Michael. Since he’s the biological father, technically he is doing nothing wrong.

JT questions why Victoria is declining having dinner with him. She tells her that she filed for divorce and wants to make sure that Brad has nothing to use against her if he decides to play dirty. Understanding, he tells Victoria that if at any time she needs to talk, does not hesitate to call him. As he’s leaving her office, accidentally bumps into Amanda Gibson. Both smile at one another as they exchange apologies.

Nikki, upon arriving to Newman Enterprises, tells Victoria that she’s on her way to making some serious changes to NVP. Victoria tells her mother how happy she is that Nikki is back in control over the company she worked hard to start. Nikki hugs her daughter, and immediately picks up the phone, instructing Phyllis to meet her within a few hours to discuss NVP business. When she hangs up the phone, she looks up to see Sharon standing in the doorway. Victoria glares at Sharon before retreating to the break room.

Slipping on her shoes, and grabbing her keys, Lauren tells Paul that if the police won’t do anything about getting her son back, she will do it herself. Paul tries to dissuade her from running over there; there’s no telling how intense things could get. Lauren tells Paul either he’s with her or against her; no matter what he says, she’s going to get her son back. Paul quickly follows behind her, in hopes that things don’t escalate even further.

Kevin is back at Crimson Lights when a courier comes in to deliver the urn with Jana’s remains. Signing off on the delivery, Kevin places the urn on the counter briefly before scooping it up in his hands. Walking out the back door, he takes one last look at the urn before throwing it in the garbage can in the alley way.

In the hallway, JT and Amanda are talking a little when Victoria makes her way in their direction. Feeling a twinge of envy, Victoria immediately breaks up the pleasantries between them. She asks Amanda is she can help her with something. Amanda tells Victoria she has a meeting with Nick Newman for the position of public relations. Victoria tells her that Nick is out of town, however, she will be more than happy to conduct the interview with her.

Closing the door behind her, Sharon asks Nikki if everything is okay. Nikki gives her the news of being back in charge of NVP. Sharon questions how that could be possible, since Jack was the one that owned it. Nikki sneers, telling Sharon that the great Jack Abbott had no choice but to return the company back to its rightful owner; and now that he has, there is one thing that will definitely change. Sharon questions what it could be. A delighted Nikki tells her ex daughter-in-law that effective immediately, she no longer will be representing her company as spokesperson.

At Jabot, Brad is presenting his idea to Jill. Jill looks them over and immediately questions why Brad is so determined to impress her. He tells Jill that with all the scandal swarming around Jabot regarding the skin cream tampering, they need to do whatever to put Jabot back on the map. Looking over the information again, Jill tells him that maybe they can work on something to make his ideas work.

Banging on the door, Lauren demands that Michael let her in. When he opens the door, it is obvious that he is haggard. Pushing past him, she asks him where her son is. Paul, who is on her heels walks in, telling Michael that for the sake of everyone, including the baby, that it would be best to let Lauren have Fen. Michael tells Paul to butt out and facing Lauren tells her that he will give her Fen once the two of them have a serious talk.

Phyllis walks in Nikki’s office, asking what’s up. Nikki tells Phyllis that Jack no longer is in charge of NVP; power has been restored back to the Newman’s. Phyllis is ecstatic and asks what is on the agenda to get things back to the way they should be. Nikki tells Phyllis she will be happy to know that Sharon will no longer be NVP spokesperson. A smile planted on her lips, Phyllis says that she has the perfect person that will be an excellent replacement for Sharon. Nikki is all ears.

Victoria walks out on Brad, while Gloria gets the cuffs slapped on her....

Lily is questioning as to why Daniel and Devon are so wrapped up in Amber. Devon tries to explain to Lily that Amber has no place to stay, but Lily, realizing where the conversation is leading, becomes furious at Devon for even thinking about letting the troublemaking girl stay. Before she can continue on her conversation, she sees Amber bounding down the stairs. Looking at Devon and Daniel, Lily is angry that they allowed her to stay in her house. Amber feigns concern and tells Lily she'll just try to find somewhere else to stay. Wanting to talk to Lily, Daniel tells Devon and Amber to leave. Both head out the door, and once gone, Daniel points out that Devon, not he, was he one that offered to let Amber stay. Lily, cuts him off, telling him that if he ever wants to make things right with her, that he stop all association with Amber.

At the Baldwin home, Maggie approaches Gloria, and informs her that she is under arrest for the tampering of the Jabot face cream. Gloria refuses to believe that she is being arrested and steps away when Maggie brings out the cuffs. Michael yells that this can't be true, that someone could have easily made a mistake with the DNA test. Maggie points out that she was there till the tests were finalized, therefore, nothing was compromised. She also tells him to face the fact that his mother is being arrested. Gloria looks at her son with pleading eyes, as Maggie cuffs her and begin reading her rights. Maggie leads Gloria out the door to head for the police station.

Nick, sitting on the couch of his home, is looking at his cell phone; contemplating on whether to call Victoria or not. He ran his hands through his hair, angry at so many people that affected his sister's life: angry at Brad and Sharon for being so careless; angry at Phyllis for knowing for such a long time and using it to get what she wanted, and then himself for not going to her soon enough with what he knew. Flipping the phone open, he dialed her number. When she answer the phone, he tries to ask her how she is, but she immediately tells him she doesn't want to talk to him and hangs up. Sighing, he dials her number one more time. This time, it just rings and rings. Sitting the phone on the table, he closes his eyes, wondering what his sister is going to do. When Phyllis comes downstairs, Nick tells her that he told Victoria everything regarding Brad. Phyllis asks how she's holding up. Nick tells her that that is none of her concern.

At her home, Victoria sits her cell phone down on the coffee table, arms folded across her chest. While she wasn't outright angry at Nick for telling her about her husband's dirty deeds, she wasn't in any mood being analyzed by him. Just the thought of Sharon in bed with her husband mere weeks after their wedding made Victoria's stomach lurch. Looking at the clock on the wall, she knew that Bad would be arriving home soon. She was more than determined to wipe the look of happiness off is face the minute he walked in the door. She wanted answers and she's determined to get them.

At the athletic club, Devon and Amber are sitting across from each other, eating. Amber asks Devon if he ever feels like he's in the middle with everything that is going on between Lily and Daniel. Devon explains that Lily will always be a large part of his life, and when she hurts, so does he. He asks Amber why she created Strangers By Night to begin with; she tells him that it was all for fun and not anything she thought would become be 'well received'. The two continue talking, not realizing that two sets of eyes were on the two of them.

When Brad walks in the door, he notices that Victoria is sitting on the couch. Walking towards her, he prepares to kiss his wife, however, when he goes in for the kiss, she moves her head and gets up off of the couch. He immediately senses tension in the room and questions what the matter is. Victoria asks Brad if he saw Sharon today. Looking puzzled, he questions why that question would come up. Not missing a beat, Victoria tells him that she merely wants to know if he's been sniffing around his mistress. When he doesn't respond to the statement, she turns up the heat by telling him that she knows that Brad and Sharon had an affair while in New York. He immediately curses under his breath that Phyllis couldn't keep her mouth shut. Victoria asks him if it is true. Brad tells her that it is, however, it was only one night and he made a commitment for life with Victoria; the woman he loves. Victoria gives her cheating husband a slap for good measure and heads upstairs.

Back at the Romalotti home, Daniel insists to Lily that he isn't interested in Amber. Lily says she isn't so sure, making a point of telling him how his whole demeanor changes whenever she is in the room with him. He tells her that Amber is not even a factor in his life, but Lily is. Trying not to let her voice break, Lily questions if he finds Amber attractive. Growing upset, Daniel tells Lily that she can ask all the questions in the world regarding Amber, but the answer would still be the same; he's not attracted to her.

At the Genoa City Police Department, Gloria is placed in the interrogation room. Maggie begins to ask her questions about her time spent in the lab the week of the contamination. Gloria tells Maggie she is not saying one word until Michael arrives. Det. Sullivan, not one to give up on getting the goods on someone, asks how Gloria could sit back and say nothing knowing that a woman had died because of her. Not giving in to the detective's tactics, Gloria continues to stay quiet. Picking up her pen and pad, Maggie tells Gloria that she will be back shortly. The minute Maggie is gone, Gloria can feel herself falling apart, as she silently asks John to give her 'strength'.

Michael, who has been prohibited from seeing Gloria, is on the phone telling Kevin of all that has happened. Kevin, who is frantic on the other end of the phone, tells his brother that he will be there right away. As he flips the phone closed, he sees Maggie exiting the interrogation room. Michael demands to be let in to see his mother. Unfortunately, Maggie, not being in the mood, tells Michael that there is no way that Gloria will any visitors tonight. Walking away, Michael calls Lauren and tells her that he'll be home late.

At the athletic club, Dru can't believe who is together with one another. Dru immediately alerts Neil, who is talking to Gina. Dru refuses to let 'trash' be a part of her children's lives. Neil, who sees the two of them at the table, agrees that Amber is the last person that Devon needed to get involved with. Without hesitation, Dru barges up on the two of them. Glaring at Amber, she tells her that no 'gold-digging' conniving tramp is going to wrap herself around her son. Neil tells Devon to follow him for a talk. The minute Devon leaves with Neil, Dru gives Amber a heated warning. When Amber tells her she's doing nothing wrong, Dru tells her she'll be doing a lot worse if she catches her around her son again. Out in the hall, Neil gives Devon a warning about being too trusting of Amber.

Kevin rushes into the police station and spots Michael. He immediately asks him what is going on and if they can see their mother. Michael fills him in all about the DNA testing being conducted and how the wall are closing around Gloria. Kevin immediately tells Michael he has to be her lawyer, it's the only way that he can possibly get her off. Shaking his head, Michael points out that even if he represented her, he, along with Kevin, could all face harsh reality for covering up the truth. Both men go to Maggie to ask if they can see Gloria. Maggie denies their request and tell them that when they come to see her tomorrow, she should have her lawyer present. Maggie heads back into the interrogation room and informs Mrs.. Fisher that she will need to stay in jail overnight. She too reminds Gloria that when morning comes, she will need to get in contact with a lawyer.

At the Carlton's, Brad tries to get Victoria to understand that his night with Sharon was one night. Not listening to a word he is saying she throws clothing in a suitcase. Brad said that when she slept with JT, he learned to forgive her, so why can't she do the same for him. Turning on her heels, she barks that when she slept with JT, they broke off their engagement. She tells Brad that the difference between he and her is that she didn't go sniffing around another man a week after getting married. Walking down the stairs, Victoria tells Brad that since he finds his tryst with Sharon no big deal, he shouldn't care in the least that she's leaving him for a while.

Brad: If Victoria knows, you better believe that the rest of the Newman family knows, Sharon.

Jill: I could absolutely kill her for all the months of hell she’s put us through.
Katherine: What on God’s green Earth was Gloria thinking? To deliberately destroy John’s legacy the ways she did?
Jill: I have one good guess: Jack Abbott.

A grand event at the Chancellors spells trouble for Amber

Guests have swarmed the Chancellor estate, celebrating the welcoming of Cane and Amber into the Chancellor family. As hostess, Katherine is tending to several guests and approaches Neil and Drucilla.

Katherine: Neil and Drucilla, so good of you to come!
Neil: Thank you for inviting us, Katherine.
Katherine: Of course. You employed my grandson when he first came to this town. You two belong here.
Drucilla: It’s a fine party, Kay. The Chancellors know how to do it best.
Katherine: Thank you, Drucilla. Where are Lily and Devon?
Drucilla: Lily hasn’t been feeling well lately. She wasn’t up for a party tonight.
Neil: Devon chose to stay with her.
Katherine: I see. Well, please, continue to enjoy yourself. The night is only beginning.

Katherine walks away from Neil and Drucilla. Daniel walks up to them.

    Daniel: Hey, Neil and Dru.
Drucilla: Mm…Daniel. Baby, lets go get a drink. I’m starting to get a little parched.
Neil: Right, dear. We’ll see you around Daniel.
    Daniel: Right.

Daniel places his hands in his pockets after Neil and Drucilla walk away. Amber runs up to him.

Amber: Do you see this place? Kay went all out. All of Genoa City’s finest are here. I feel like royalty.
    Daniel: Yeah, everything looks nice.
Amber: Aw, Daniel… You’re still bummed about Lily. She’s going to come around.

A few yards away from Daniel and Amber, Katherine is talking to JT.

Katherine: Thank you for coming over, Jeffery Todd. I hadn’t known you and Amber were friends.
JT: I doubt you could call us friends, more like two people scarred by two thorns.

Katherine follows JT’s eyes over to Adrian and Colleen.

Katherine: Don’t let her get to you, Jeffery Todd. You will bounce back.
JT: That’s what everyone keeps telling me, but…
Katherine: I spoke to Mackenzie the other day. She asked about you.
    JT: Really?
Katherine: Yes. You should give her a call one day.

Katherine leaves JT with much to think about. JT takes his drink and walks over to Adrian and Colleen.

    Adrian: Oh brother…
Colleen: JT, what do you want?
JT: I just wanted to come over and congratulate you two. I know you spoke to Paul and told him everything.
Colleen: Paul was worried about you. A lot of people are.
JT: Don’t patronize me, Colleen. I’m not here to make conversation. You two won. You can be together now and I’m going to be out of your hair for a while.
Adrian: If we could only be so lucky.
JT: You will be, Kornball. Paul gave me the Jana Hawkes case, and it’s going to take me out of town.
Colleen: That’s probably a good thing.
Adrian: And we wish you all the luck in the world, TJ. I’m thirsty, Colleen. Lets go get a drink.

Colleen and Adrian walk away from JT to expose Brad and Victoria, who have been watching the conversation go down.

Announcer: The role of Victoria Newman is now being played by Heather Tom.

Victoria: Penny for your thoughts, Bradley?
    Brad: What? Sorry…
    Victoria: Don’t apologize.
Brad: There has to be something that can be done to stop that.
Victoria: There’s not. Colleen obviously cares for Adrian a lot. The more you try to drive a wedge in between them, the greater the wedge will be between you and your daughter. Trust me, I know. Take it from me. My father did everything in his power to keep Ryan and I apart. The harder he tried, the harder we tried to stay together and we did in the end. My father had to accept it. You do too.
Brad: There’s just something about him that irritates me.
Victoria: He’s dating your daughter. That’s what it is. Why do I find myself surrounded by such stubborn men?
Brad: Are you relating me to your father?
Victoria: You don’t see a comparison?

Victor approaches his daughter and son-in-law.

    Brad: Speak of the devil.
    Victor: Hello, Bradley. Victoria.
Victoria: Hi, Dad. Were your ears burning? We were just talking about you.
    Victor: Good things, I hope.
Victoria: We were talking about how similar you and Brad are.
Brad: And on that note, I am going to get a drink. Would you like something, honey?
    Victoria: I’m fine. Thanks.

Brad walks away, leaving Victoria with her father.

Victor: Have you spoke to your mother?
    Victoria: Yes I did. Today.
    Victor: How is she doing?
    Victoria: Good.
Victor: Does she like where she is staying?
    Victoria: Dad!
    Victor: What?
Victoria: You know Mom doesn’t want you knowing where she’s at right now. Give her time. I’m going to need to engrave that into your brain.
Victor: Very well. Have you seen your brother yet? He told me he would be here.
Victoria: Look over there. He and Phyllis just arrived.

Nicholas and Phyllis walk out of the house, into the backyard.

Nicholas: There goes my dad and Victoria. Lets go say hi.
Phyllis: You go on ahead over. I’ll be there in a minute.

Nicholas walks away. Phyllis spots Sharon with Jack and approaches them.

    Phyllis: Hello, you two.
Jack: Phyllis! It’s good to see you.
Phyllis: You too, Jack. Hey, Sharon!
Sharon: Hi, Phyllis! Jack, I need a drink. Care for one?
Phyllis: Actually, Jack, could you get Sharon and I a drink? I’m thirsty and I need to speak to Sharon about something for the next NVP shoot. Don’t worry. I’ll tell you about it later. I’ll take fruit punch. Thanks.
Jack: And for you, my dear?
Sharon: A water would be fine.
Phyllis: Good idea. You want to keep that figure for that dress you’ll be slipping into soon.

Jack walks away from the ladies. Sharon looks at Phyllis.

Sharon: Why are you still standing beside me?
Phyllis: I told you. I need to talk to you.
Sharon: Then hurry up, and leave me alone.
Phyllis: I just thought you should know that I’m done with the blackmailing.
Sharon: Really now? What brought about the change?
Phyllis: It almost ruined me and Nick. You and Brad can ruin your lives without me.
    Sharon: Oh, Phyllis…

Drucilla walks up to Sharon and Phyllis.

Drucilla: Is she starting with you again, Sharon?
Phyllis: Save it, Dru. I’m leaving now.

    Phyllis walks away.

    Drucilla: What was that about?
Sharon: Phyllis wanted to inform me that she will no longer be blackmailing Brad and I.
Drucilla: Is the girl sincere though? That’s the question.
Sharon: I don’t know. With Phyllis, you never can.
    Drucilla: Ain’t that the truth!

At the buffet table, Jack is pouring drinks when Gloria walks up to him.

Gloria: Good to see you, Jack.
Jack: Gloria. You are looking as leopard-esque as ever.
Gloria: Why thank you. I assume you heard the great news?
    Jack: You’re moving?
Gloria: You wish. No. Ji Min has cleared my schedule to free up time for me to go on Extreme Catwalk.
    Jack: Congratulations.
Gloria: That’s it? That’s all you’re going to say?
Jack: What more do you want? You wanted this and you got it. I do warn you though. Ashley is in Los Angeles, and she will be at these tapings, making sure you don’t ruin the Abbott name more than you already have.

With that, Jack picks up his drinks and walks away. Gloria spots Jill and Williams speaking across the yard. Jill is talking to William about Extreme Catwalk. Gloria slowly approaches the two.

William: I’m sure you will have a good time. I was in LA two summers ago. I had a great time.
Gloria: I couldn’t help but overhearing you two. You were talking Extreme Catwalk, I presume?
Jill: Yes we were. I was telling William, here, that I will be in LA for several weeks taping.
Gloria: And you won’t be there alone, Jill. I’m coming along.
Jill: You are? I thought you were booked for those weeks with Jabot?
Gloria: Ji Min was a wonderful man and cleared my schedule so I could make my appearance. It’s going to be a wild time, Jill. We can go to all the boutiques and shopping malls. And William, you are going to have to catch us on television and let us know how we look with the spotlight on us.
William: I’m looking forward to it, Gloria.

Cane walks up to Jill, William and Gloria.

Jill: Cane! You remember William Bardwell. And of course, Gloria.
    Cane: Hi.
William: It’s good to see you again, Cane.
Gloria: Yes it is. Congratulations on landing a spot in the Chancellor family.
Cane: Thank you, I think. Jill, have you seen Amber? I’ve been looking for her.
Jill: No, not for a while now. I’m sure she’s around here somewhere.

Inside the house, Amber is checking the food that’s about to be prepared. Katherine walks into the kitchen.

Katherine: Amber! Doesn’t everything look delicious?
Amber: It sure does, Kay. I want to thank you for all of this. You and Jill have made Cane and I feel so welcomed into your family.
    Katherine: Wait until the toast.
Amber: We get a toast? I’m so excited!
Katherine: You should be. It is a fine party, isn’t it?
    Amber: Wonderful!
Katherine: It’s a shame my good friend, Stephanie Forrester, had to return to Los Angeles and miss it.
Amber: Stephanie? Stephanie was in Genoa City?
Katherine: Yes. Oh, I forgot to tell you that. I had lunch with Stephanie. Your name came up quite a bit.
    Amber: It did? What about?
Katherine: Oh, there’s Esther. Come outside, dear, to hear the toast.
    Amber: Katherine, wait…

Katherine exits the kitchen as Amber becomes nervous of what Stephanie could have said to Katherine. Amber runs outside and quickly finds Daniel.

    Amber: Daniel!
    Daniel: Hey, Amber. What’s up?
Amber: I think we may have a problem…

Katherine grabs a glass and a fork and bangs on the glass to get everyone’s attention. The crowd quiets down.

Katherine: Thank you. I want to thank everyone for attending tonight’s festivities. As you all know, tonight is a celebration. We are celebrating the welcoming of my grandson, Jill’s son, Cane, and his lovely bride, Amber. Cane and Amber, would you please come up here?

Amber hesitates at first, but Cane takes her by the arm and walks up to Katherine and they take their place.

Katherine: It was a miracle that Jill was able to find her biological son after all these years. The simple fact that Cane managed to be in Genoa City at this time was out of this world. Not many people know this, but we almost gave up hope that Cane was Jill’s son. The clues were all there, but the DNA test said otherwise. Cane was ready to leave the country and return home. Jill was ready to continue her search for her son. Had it not been for Amber, none of this would be possible. It was Amber who convinced us to take another test. She was dead-set on proving that the first test was somehow inaccurate. It was almost as if she knew the truth. Amber, what made you so sure?
Amber: I guess you could say I just had a feeling, a sixth sense of sorts.
Katherine: Right. A sixths sense. Well, we should all be grateful for Amber’s sixth sense. So please join me in toasting to my grandson and my new granddaughter, the lying, cheating and scheming gold-digger that she is!

The crowd is shocked by Katherine’s words towards Amber. Whispers can be heard. Cane and Jill share confused looks as Amber looks scared to death. Katherine smirks as the screen fades the black.

In the upcoming weeks, we will be focusing on the divorce of Victoria Newman Carlton and Bradley Carlton, and what better way than to have a blast from the past and a crossover from a sister show to represent them.

John Castellanos returns to the role of DA John Silva, when Victor Newman calls upon him to represent Victoria.

Castellanos last appeared in the role of Silva back in 2004, but is more than ready to return to the place he called 'home' for so many years.

Crossing over from sister show Bold and the Beautiful, William de Vry will join in the storyline as legal eagle Storm Logan, who will representing Brad. de Vry joined the cast of Bold and the Beautiful in 2006 when he came to represent Taylor after the hit and run of Darla.

With both lawyers on opposite sides, there's no telling what is bound to happen in the divorce case of Newman vs Carlton.
