Michael is the bearer of bad news for Gloria

In Los Angeles, Jill and Gloria are going over ideas on how to answer questions about Extreme Catwalk when the press arrives. Gloria is on a natural high in regards to being the center of attention, telling Jill this is the life she's always wanted to live. Jill r eminds her that even the slightest bit of fame can be dangerous. Waving the notion off, Gloria grabs a pair of sunglasses and tells Jill she's going out to see the 'sights'. As she is walking out the door, Jill's cell phone goes off. Reaching for it, Jill is surprised to hear Ji Min on the the other end. She asks him how things are going in Genoa City and is surprised when he tells her that things aren't going well. Walking towards the window of her suite, she questions what is going on. Ji Min explains to her that William Bardwell has re-opened the skin cream investigation, and conducted DNA testing on all Jabot employees. Jill is outraged at why the matter is now being re-hashed again. Unbeknownst to Jill, Gloria, who returned to retrieved something, has heard a large majority of the conversation.

At Crimson Lights, Kevin is looking at the Genoa City Times when one of his co-workers come in to start their shift. At the same time, Amanda, who is also carrying a copy of the newspaper, finds a sit not too far from the counter. While she is reading the front page story regarding the new developments of the skin cream case, she can't but help listen in on the conversation that is taking place between Kevin and his employee. Kevin makes mention that none of this mess would have happened if it weren't for Jack Abbott's callous and insensitive behavior towards others. Across the way, Amanda lets a small smile play at her lips at Kevin's words of dislike towards the man that cost her family everything. Her smile however turns into a frown when the co-worker asks Kevin if he was working at Jabot during the time the case originally began. She can't even fathom why Kevin would ever would want to stay at a place that did so much damage to so many lives.

Cane is on his way to go to Katherine's when Amber arrives to collect the rest of her belongings. Once inside, she can tell that Cane is in no mood to talk to her. She quickly makes her way to the room to retrieve the rest of her things. As she is coming out, she asks him if he can ever forgive her for what she did, he quickly tells her that he will never forget what she did to him, and that if she's hoping for any reconciliation, she's wasting her time. Opening the door, waits for her to walk out into the hall before slamming the door shut.

At Nick and Phyllis', Victoria stops by to bring over some documents for Nick to sign. Phyllis, who answers the door, iniforms her sister-in-law that he isn't home yet, and offers her to stay to wait for him. Victoria, not too keen on being there with Phyllis, opts to just return at a later time. Phyllis, not at all happy at how things are going between Nick and her, asks Victoria to stay for a bit to talk. Sensing something strange, Victoria asks Phyllis what's really going on. Hesitant for a moment, Phyllis tries to come up with the right way to tell her about what she's done. Phyllis is in the process of her confession when Nick walks in the door and immediately prevents Phyllis from saying one word to upset his sister.

At Crimson Lights, Amber walks in, completely upset by Cane's coolness towards her. As she's getting her a latte, she bumps into Devon, who is picking up an order he called in. He at first doesn't say anything to her, until he notices how upset she is. Taking a seat beside her, he questions what is wrong. Amber begins to lay it on thick about how hurt she is that she's lost the one person that she felt believed in her. The water works begin to fall and Devon, not really knowing what to do, simply gives her a hug. As the two hug, however, it is clear that Amber has found her next pawn.

A frantic Gloria is on her cell phone, in hopes that Michael will answer. When he comes on the other end of the line, Gloria is in a fit of nervousness as she asks him about the skin cream case. She demands to know why she wasn't called immediately about what was going on. Michael, who is just as on edge as she is, tells her that there was not much he could do to prevent the case from being re-opened. She questions if all eyes are focused on Jack, since he's still considered the number one target. Michael tells her that regardless of how much they hate Jack, he is not the one they are waiting on. When she questions what he is talking about, Michael tells her that only two Jabot employees are in need of DNA testing: Jill and herself. Gloria refuses to believe that William will find anything that will connect her back to the tampering, but Michael silences her by telling her that she has no other choice but to return to Genoa City and face the music.

Next on Genoa City

Daniel: Mom, I don't know how I'm going to get Lily to ever trust me again.

Phyllis: I'm on Nick's list of least likely to trust again, too, so I guess we're in the same boat.

Neil (chuckling): Are you telling me that your mom was actually trying to play matchmaker?

Lily: Dad, it's not funny. Why can't she stop meddling in my life?

Neil: You of all people should know that your mom is front and center in anything that concerns her children.

Brad: I hope we have many, many more anniversaries to celebrate, Victoria.
