Here's an insane bit of symmetry - the credits from the end of "Telly Addicts" in that second clip, before the promo for Silver Nemesis (ugh!) lists the director as Nick Hurran. This is the very same Nick Hurran who has directed a ton of DW in the last several years, a fair bit of Series 6 and 7 as well as, yes, The Day of the Doctor.
  2. It's so insane, I love it! Here's even more insane stuff. They're casting for the kids.
  3. I saw it. They opened on TP and James Corden was very big on it. Kyle couldn't say much, obviously, but said he had only been told so much, and that they were expecting to shoot in the fall as previously reported. He also had a great opening gag in the teaser where they open his dressing room door and he's got a "damn fine" cup of coffee. I assume either this week or next he'll do what he told a journalist he'd be doing this month, sitting down with all of the scripts. He was also on to promote his voice work in the new Pixar movie, Inside Out. Kyle talked more about his long relationship with David Lynch, starting on Dune right out of drama school. It was actually a great conversation, worth watching if it's on CBS's site, and he had a great routine with Betty White, who of course flirted heavily. Betty also mentioned something I forgot, that her first real TV job was something that sounds like an impossible gauntlet today - hosting five and a half hours of live ad-libbed talk and commentary for a local LA show, Hollywood on Television. It sounds like hell on Earth.
  4. Showtime has begun promoting its new streaming service with a promo that features very brief, old archival clips from Twin Peaks as one of the shows on its roster.
  5. Jon Bernthal is The Punisher for Daredevil. Incredible show.
  6. I haven't watched since before JT died, but I'm glad for them. They deserve it. I used to love the show.
  7. Yeah, the whole noble part has pretty much gone up in smoke with Shireen. I find Stannis a fascinating character, but his arc has gone exactly the way I expected. Stodgy guy backs the worst possible horse.
  8. I knew that's how it would end for Shireen. The tragedy of Stannis is that he's a noble, just ruler in some ways, but ultimately he became a middle aged man who is hidebound, bamboozled, and deluded. Their family, with what Melisandre has brought to them and what Stannis has allowed, is nothing but a sad, pathetic midlife crisis that led them into a death cult. The end with Daenerys and Drogon was really affecting. And I'm actually glad Jorah didn't buy it there. They gave him a great redemption.

No, that was out last week. I think it's something else, maybe dealing with a spinoff or something. If it's real.

I have no idea. And I'm sure it wasn't that.

Freema Agyeman has a major supporting role as the girlfriend of a transwoman in the Wachowskis' new Netflix series, Sense8.
  12. No. He wants to see her once more, and die. That's what he's going to do.
  13. I was very afraid he was going to become a zombie giant. That was pretty fantastic.
  14. Holy !@#$%^&*]! That was amazing.
  15. While Stamos can definitely be dramatic, I just don't think anyone was paying nearly that much attention to any of it. All most people really care about is the bizarre spectacle of Full House returning from its cursed grave.
  16. The Olsen twins were often one of the biggest draws, so it was an obvious question. That being said, no, I don't think it will matter to the show or its numbers (and I am almost positive they will never recast).
  17. I understand why there was such drama over the Olsens - they were the big draw, back in the day. They ruled the '90s, which is how they made their fortune. I also never expected them to do it, really. It'll do well with or without them. It's a dreadful show, but most of us have seen every terrible episode at least five times. And God help me, I always loved Aunt Becky.
  18. Lori Loughlin is in as the madness continues:
  19. The aforementioned intrepid fan (apparently doing work for an unrelated French commercial production) continues his tour of TP locations and gathering info from the locals, including the proprietor of "Dirtfish Racing," the establishment which served as the location for the Twin Peaks sheriff's station: Photos of his trip to the locale can be found on his Twitter account. It does look very, very similar to 1991. Here's his on-camera interview with Kyle Twede, owner of Twede's Diner:
  20. Moviehole alleges that David Duchovny will, indeed, appear as Denise Bryson. I'll need a better source.
  21. From the aforementioned French fan on social media, who is currently in North Bend, WA and spoke with the proprietor of Twede's: One might surmise this may have been part of the budget dispute with Showtime, which surely would have preferred less location shooting. Now, however, they may be getting two seasons worth.
  22. A local TV news affiliate heads up to Snoqualmie, site of filming for the original pilot, various exteriors and FWWM, and speaks to some local businesses hoping for a boom, including Twede's Diner (the Double R). The owner confirms Lynch and Showtime are permanently renovating and remodeling the space, which from what I've heard desperately needs it. This fits with what Sherilyn Fenn said in the above video, that Lynch and/or elements of the production had already made a trip back to the location in preparation. Filming is confirmed for September, which suits the show's usual mood and climate. Video at the link. The more official detail leaks, the less I believe this is happening after 25 years. I am still stunned. Meanwhile, a passing motorist (and fan) on social media notes odd markings near the site of the town sign.
  23. Long video from Crypticon, with Sheryl and Sherilyn: 18 episodes is confirmed. Sheryl Lee admits she has no idea how she's coming back. Sherilyn is in rare form.
