  1. He filibustered for a minute or two. Then he collapsed when she brought up the Trump Foundation.
  2. This is a slaughter.
  3. Wallace is arguing that he must concede. Trump: "I'll tell you at the time! I'll keep you in suspense." Hillary: "Well, Chris, let me respond to that because that is horrifying." Paraphrasing her: He lost a caucus, he said it was rigged, the FBI finds Hillary innocent, he says it's rigged. He didn't get an Emmy, he says it's rigged. The audience applauds her as she brings up Obama calling him a whiner.
  4. Oh, lord. Trump now responds to Wallace by saying he will 'look at it at the time' if he loses before conceding. The audience reacts. He is lecturing Wallace.
  5. Oh, my God. He is responding to Hillary's argument about undocumented immigrants paying more tax than him by insisting "I'm entitled!" This man is suicidal. Trump: "I sat my in very beautiful hotel -" Hillary: "Made with Chinese steel." The audience laughs.
  6. She just tore him apart comparing their 30-year records. Here comes the sex accusations. The audience laughs as he again claims nobody has more respect for women than him. Trump brags re: accusations - "I didn't even apologize to my wife!"
  7. I was on a plane. He is being humiliated (and embarrassing himself) worse than debate #1. She called him a puppet of Putin.
  8. He's melting down defending Putin. Amazing.
  9. Rubio is never going to recover from this election season. He was emasculated but most of all, made to look like an incompetent fool. Not only by Trump but most pointedly by himself in that debate where he just rattled off talking points over and over. "Little Marco" rolling over for Trump and endorsing will not be forgotten. The reign of Trump demolished a huge field of GOP hopefuls. He embarrassed and humiliated almost all of them to the point of no return in several cases.
  10. I think it's all static at best. And yes, I think it will drop.
  11. Mark Halperin still believes in a place called hope:
  12. From last week's David Lynch Festival of Disruption, singers Chrysta Bell and Sky Ferreira (and composer Angelo Badalamenti) perform several series classics. Bell has worked with Lynch on Inland Empire and a variety of music projects. Both Bell and Ferreira will appear in the new Twin Peaks, either performing, acting or both. (FWIW, original series singer Julee Cruise will also be back.)
  13. Vee replied to DRW50's topic in Primetime & Streaming
Peter Capaldi, Steven Moffat and Pearl Mackie talk Bill. This I may have to read - Paul Cornell (longtime DW author, did the '90s New Adventures novel range and several great audio dramas before penning "Father's Day," "Human Nature" and "The Family of Blood", along with one of my favorite Marvel Comics books of the 21st century, Captain Britain & MI-13) is penning a Third Doctor miniseries.
  14. I'm pretty sure I know who it is, but I am looking forward to the show's return. Not looking forward to their showing the horrific Lucille scene in full glory, if that is the plan. I don't need that.
  15. LOL, I'm definitely not pretending she is perfect. But the relentless demonization from elements of the media and both far ends of the political spectrum only shines her up in my eyes. Meanwhile, this is amazing.
  16. Yeah, I hear her surrogates say that all the time, but any career politician can say the same. I guess I'm cynical, but I don't really see any of these people as particularly altruistic. Not that I need them to be, but at this level of politics, it's about power, not public service. Frankly, I think it's kind of refreshing to see this kind of raw ambition in a woman. In her position, I would have retired to a beach town to spend my millions long ago, but she just keeps on trucking. You can be both ambitious and altruistic, and you can find extremes at either end at many points in your life. I think her record since college speaks for itself, both good and bad, and I think it's mostly on balance good. You don't. That's your prerogative. For anyone who hasn't seen it, please watch:
  17. Hillary's worked for people her whole adult life. Whatever else you can say about her, she believes in public service. The only thing Trump believes in is himself, and even that is a constant struggle to not be laughed at and overcome doubt.
  18. No, seriously. Meanwhile, Carl's beloved Jeff Zucker feels mistakes were made, but shouldn't Billy Bush keep his job? (He won't)
  19. The beat goes on.
  20. I hope Ari gets some more work out of this, at least. I guess that's crass to say but it will raise her profile as an actor. She deserves that at the least. My stomach turned for her. It oddly felt like a violation closer to home, and I know I wasn't the only soap fan, castmember, crew hand or production staffer to feel that way. As silly as that is.
  21. Oh, my God.
  22. Nice to see you all holding it down while my laptop was in the shop to the tune of $200+
