FWIW: I've checked out Reddit and the Berniebros, and many of them seem to actually be happier with Clinton because of the leaked comments (and Bernie's ringing endorsement this morning). The tax thing is a catastrophe on top of other disasters for Trump. Don't kid yourself. It's yuuuge and everyone knows it. And Trump not releasing is spitting in the face of the minimum standard of respect expected by the American public. We now know he didn't release them because he hasn't paid jack.

Yeah, as I think was just pointed out, Bernie comes out and defends Hillary re: her comments on his supporters. As I said, nothing there. I don't think the press is really that big on the story either, tbh. I think it's a desperate thing like Obama's Guns & Religion which will fizzle out overnight for all but the hardcore Bernie or Busters. And even if there is another Wikileaks story - I think it just got called off - history has shown they hype these weak tea nothingstories about the DNC that go nowhere and have no play outside a handful of angry far left bloggers, all of which die within a week. Trump's antics (and taxes) have stolen the spotlight, possibly for good. Meanwhile: Rudy's doing great.

Trump is completely blind and stupid if he thinks going after Bill and Monica will do anything but harden women and families against him for shaming the woman. I don't want to hear any argument against that idea either - It's not 1992 anymore. People know all about the Clintons. In 2016, if an old man comes out raving about how Hillary didn't satisfy Bill enough, how the Clintons have had trouble in their marriage, all that's going to do is make voters soften towards Hillary even more. It makes her and her marriage more relatable, and it makes Trump look terrible. But he doesn't get it. He thinks he can still play out the 'dominance rituals' Josh Marshall decribed, which Trump imported from the business world to the primaries, where he can run roughshod over anyone to get what he wants. He doesn't get, even now, that Hillary can't be dominated. He's delusional. But I suspect all that may be forgotten by Donald for a bit with this new tax humiliation. #LastTimeTrumpPaidTaxes is trending, and Trump's 80-year-old former tax preparer has verified the documents as legitimate.

The even better part of the tax leak: It proves what everyone's always said about Trump and what he hates most - that he is a loser with a string of failed businesses that lost him millions. This is what I always said would happen in the general election - he would be exposed, humiliated and torn apart. The only reason it's taken this long is because the mainstream media was baffled by his nomination, completely thrown a curve, and muddled around trying to treat him as just another candidate for months while protecting the usual rules of false equivalency, 'both sides' and horse-race noise, until he made it impossible.

Oh, shít. It looks like he may not have paid any in two decades. I guess we know what he'll been tweeting about tonight at 3 AM. Meanwhile in Trump:

To their credit, a bunch of folks from Bernie's campaign team are coming out defending Hillary's quotes about the Sanders supporters - including Bernie himself, I think. When you look at it there's really nothing there. I think it's going to have the same minimal impact as Obama's "guns and religion" did, or less, frankly.

Yeah, taking Politico's spin at face value is not important or worth getting worked up over. I read Politico only to know and understand the perspective of the enemy - first, through the Republican and Trump sources who leak to the Beltway, and then to take the Beltway's temperature and see where they might track. But the Beltway is not reflective of the actual American consensus, it just pretends to be (and often fails). The good news is, Politico is now firmly against Trump, which means the media largely is as well. And it shows on TV everyday. There are more than enough good people to win this election, just like the last two which weren't as close as a lot of the media pretended they would be. And IMO this one won't be too close either. It's been a long time since George W. Bush and his old apparatus' iron fist - they're all out of favor now and largely seen through or disgraced. We can't be scared of 2000 forever because that entire cabal is pretty much smashed up, and frankly a lot of the electorate is a lot smarter.

Sean Ringgold (Shaun Evans, OLTL) has made a small career playing bodyguards and muscle, and he's doing it again on Marvel's Luke Cage on Netflix - one of the henchmen of crime boss Cottonmouth Stokes.

Rachel Maddow apparently reported that Trump is (allegedly) looking for yet another campaign manager with Conway and co. being burnt through rapidly just like Manafort - she was especially humiliated on The View the other day, with everyone from Whoopi to Joy tearing into her - and that he is also considering pulling out of the debates.

Not gonna work for anyone but his base. Not after his behavior towards her, Megyn Kelly and now Machado.

It's not going to connect. And no, I don't think Clinton has to be careful re: Bill's affairs. No one undecided is going to side with him on this. Him touching this topic is doom for him, which is why the Republicans have been begging him to drop it. More bad news for Donald: He wanted underage Miss USA's sex tape.

Yeah, that line is not flying at all, Carl. Nobody's buying that - except Mark Halperin, who whined that Clinton has had a week of positive press and Trump hasn't gotten a break, and muttered about Machado's 'past' while every panel on every show on MSNBC disgreed with him. The Morning Joe crew was just mocking Trump's latest morning tweets. Politico on the fallout of the debate, and Trump's suicidal insistence on going after Bill and Monica. Good luck, old man! Also, forgive me if we've posted this but it's been officially revealed - the Trump Foundation charity isn't even certified to function as a charity. It is nothing but an illegal money machine for Trump. These Foundation stories from David Fahrenthold are catching major fire now in the mainstream and TV press, and you can bet Hillary is saving them and a lot of other people like Alicia Machado up for debate #2. If Trump shows.
