  1. No. Almost nothing Trump does is deliberate or some secret media strategy - it's just flailing. Daniels came out because she felt like it. It doesn't help Trump, it's just another scandal - and it hasn't lessened any of the bigger ones. A few pundits had this same theory a lot early on; they assumed there was some secret strategy behind Trump's constant chaos, that it was some big play. It's not. Everyone involved in his empire, both in the past and now, is just that much of a blithering incompetent.
  2. I know Riverdale's creators admit it owes its whole existence to TP - I haven't watched S2 yet but it looks fun yet very silly - but even for what is surely an admitted homage this is quite shameless:
  3. Not sure this is doing any side any favors:
  4. The TP subreddit mentioned these uncanny parallel situations:
  5. I'm prob throwing in the towel for awhile with the show when Carl exits, so it's fitting that Scott Gimple is also out - although apparently (and this may well be PR spin, but he is going to be in place) it's not a firing so much as him being promoted to running the whole of the franchise, with longtime writer Angela Kang succeeding him. Meanwhile, some lukewarm to hot tea: Norman Reedus vents about losing Chandler Riggs, and a BI claims the kid's dad was an issue. Poor Chandler.
  6. Tangential, but: Megyn Kelly, of all people, is allegedly "at war" with NBC over wanting to book Catt Sadler, the E! host whose pay gap was grossly at odds with that of her male counterpart.
  7. For the love of God:
  8. ^ That is much more important than this, but nonetheless:
  9. Robert Knepper has left his CW show, though the network claims it is not due to the allegations against him.
  10. People Magazine aside, I actually don't think the media are carrying his water thus far. And yeah, he is clearly spooked.
  11. There is no other world. AFAIC that awful finale and the final season never happened.
  12. About to be outed by Harper's and very questionable journalist Katie Roiphe, Moira Donegan outs herself as the author of the "Shitty Media Men List":
  13. She'll always be there. Write fanfic!
  14. I almost can't believe this, but that "Norwegians are leaving" scene - which is quite famous - is apparently not on YT. I know there are many gifs of it floating around though. This may have to suffice for now. Or this:
