  1. A classy, warm and yes, sexy figure for years. They were so foolish to let him go. RIP.
  2. Felicia was not on the show before Frank Valentini took over. FV and RC brought her back after many years and reunited Mac and Felicia. Say what you will about the current EP and the regimes of the 2010s, but they are the only reason JJY and KW are present at all.
  3. It was a freak twist of fate that KT of all people, a B or C player for years, got paired up with Steve Burton in what seemed to be a floundering attempt at the show to find someone new for Jason. They would never have put her near him in the past and I still don't think she's up for the frontburner, but frankly he did come alive in those love scenes so that's something. To have it snatched away from her, well, I'm not broken up bc I've never liked Britt. But it's just one of those crazy things that happens in daytime sometimes, and sometimes they do work.
  4. They were deeply stupid on Twitter and social media together for a long, long stretch.
  5. I had no idea. That's wild. It seems like so much story snapped into place and climaxed very suddenly in the matter of a couple weeks - maybe a week and change - after what felt like a very, very slow build for months up to that point re: the Cummings trial and Tom/Margo de-thawing, even throughout most of May. It's ironic that both those climaxes seem lost to time and are not viewable, for now at least. Did Barbara finally get found out by Tom in that brief interval between late May and early June as well? I've been waiting for that but I would assume not. The blackmail of Barbara by Tad #3(?) is also quite sudden, and I still don't know he got involved with Emily.
  6. This story is a bit different. The actual details seem vaguer than the headlines, which is typical for the UK press. I think he'll be back eventually. I do think he looks amazing slimmer and with a beard.
  7. People have been talking shít to me for 15 years for saying Kate is Played Out. She was played out by 2005! I think people just loved Lauren Koslow. Yet she somehow has boomeranged back around, I guess, bc she's still fun and I can think of people I'd much sooner cut than Kate today. Go figure. I do think she is used as a mattress too often.
  8. I'm in the minority in that I've never felt KT was very good, from Day 1. She can do snark but most weak actors can do snark and get easy approval. I think she's weak in dramatic scenes or pathos and always has been. I used to name each of her 'troubled' expressions back in the day when she was with Nikolas and keeping the Rocco secret; 'dull surprise,' 'misty nausea', etc. I've never felt she is ready for the frontburner. Also, I remember her online tomfoolery with former bf Bryan Craig. But hey, that's me.
  9. At this point it wouldn't shock me at all if they announce it the day of or just before his last airdate. (Which is probably something soaps should do any way to cut down on spoilers, but still)
  10. It is wonderfully insane seeing Duncan move into the foggy McColl castle(!!) as has been hinted at for a month. They appear to be playing slightly off-brand Dark Shadows musical cues. I know Hensley, his manservant(?) or whatever, has a big role going forward of sorts - hopefully I can make sense of it though there's quite a few gaps coming up. Speaking of gaps, the gaps in what's available had me jumping from what was apparently the end of May to early June, and in that time they've shockingly already resolved the Marsha Talbot/Kim murder trial in a matter of only a week or two, so it seems - Marsha has been apprehended after abducting Frannie, and Tom and Margo appear to already, finally be back together or close to it, shortly after Margo discovered she was pregnant as the trial began. Not sure what happened with the latter. Anyway this binge is still glorious, despite the holes I am trying to fill. Miss a day, miss a lot!
  11. There's also the infamous aborted Janet Green bomb storyline from around the same time on AMC, IIRC. I think her supposedly taking Brooke's face via plastic surgery tied into that somehow and was also scrapped to keep Robin Mattson.
  12. EW is gilding the lily like the rest, because the fact is Ingo wasn't dismissed for this but for not following the mandate. Anyone that pulls that string has to deal with asking GH the Burton question and debating whether to run the answer.
  13. They rewrote a story point on OLTL in 2001 on the fly the week of 9/11. IIRC, Blair's plane to Mexico was supposed to crash, and she would deliver her baby (Jack) in the wreckage or something with Todd by her side. A cliffhanger or commercial break showed the plane suffering turbulence. When 9/11 happened, they hastily reshot and the plane landed safely. I felt it was a mistake then and now that the soaps basically did not acknowledge 9/11 openly on air and in story. I take the Rosemary Prinz view of things (Prinz famously improvised a line about the Kennedy assassination during a live show on ATWT in 1963, the week after the shooting). The world goes through turmoil and these shows, which are companions to people throughout their real lives, should reflect it and be a source of not just comfort but commiseration. If Penny Hughes or Erica Kane or Viki Lord can talk about what we've gone through it can help other people deal with it too. I feel the same way about COVID today - I think it's a travesty GH in particular has not used it.
  14. The binge continues! Consecutive viewing is getting spotty but now it's June '86 and suddenly we're up to at least three Tad Channings as the latest is a considerably older Larry Pine with what appears to be severe laryngitis, scheming somehow with the first adult Emily (Colleen McDermott). How did she get involved with him? Did they really intend to pair her for real with Holden at this point and move off of him and Lily? I just can't see it. They're also already mentioning Josh Snyder. Was there something sinister to do with ailing Uncle Henry or am I imagining things?
  15. Well, twitter isn't the real world. A lot of people either won't know or don't know much about the plot itself. I know I don't.
  16. RIP John Campea (SPOILERS): These appear to be real. Very happy to see the latter character confirmed. I loved the Netflix show and will have to finish the final season. Hopefully this means they'll fold the Netflix shows into the MCU.
  17. I should add, that poll is also pre-Infrastructure Week(end).
  18. I remember very well the Soap Opera Digest BI warning my show that if a certain actor got caught out for domestic violence a third (fourth? fifth?) time "we name him". How noble. The alleged name was already circulating among fans in those years. But this was 20 years ago and even then, the soap press were desperate to stay afloat.
  19. Again, it was obvious Ron Carlivati wanted to do this with Brad years ago. I just didn't have much faith in him doing it well then and I don't have any faith in them now.
  20. Yeah, but you don't run the GH social media accounts.
  21. You can bookmark posts on IG without liking them, IIRC. It's a separate feature and a separate icon. AFAIC it was plain stupid of whoever runs that account to touch that post. Exactly. If someone wasn't asleep at the wheel then they're just plain tone-deaf.
  22. Carolyn Hennesy going at it with random fans online makes her foolish, it doesn't make her a transphobe.
