  1. Lord these credits are literally just Melrose Place! I know it doesn't fit into what they're doing atm, yeah. I do think there is room for them doing it in this market, but they don't see it yet. Hopefully Beyond Salem (if it's a success) makes them reconsider, but I think DAYS has always had a bigger international profile as well, much like B&B.
  2. Real shame Disney isn't finding a way to do something like this (even in a limited run) with half-hour slots for AMC/OLTL in the old block, maybe with a new little GH spinoff to finish off the old trio, but hey what do I know.
  3. I'll have a look at it tonight or tomorrow when another episode is banked. I haven't watched DAYS in ages but I think I can pick up where things are at easily enough. Christie still looks great, as does Austin Peck. I'm so happy Tony is back again and not a cartoon villain; Higley and co. botched that years ago. I'm happy when ol' Thaao and Leeann Hunley are treated right.
  4. I don't have it (yet) but Peacock can't be worse than the HBO Max app. I will try it out for Days to support the future of the genre, and for Saved by the Bell - when/if Days goes up. Kids' programming and Star Trek. Trek is back in a big way over there.
  5. I think Ingo's been underutilized at the show for decades. He was great in the '90s but it was a mistake bringing him back in 2001 when he had nothing to do in a bad story JFP and McTavish whipped up with Angel, and he continued to having nothing to do for years as Guza and co.'s contempt grew for the character they had once used so well (this happened to a lot of characters, like Alexis). He only found a solid harbor and purpose on canvas with Carly later, and for years was the only man who treated her right and gave her and her boys a home. I still think losing Jax and that life was a major marker for Carly. But that's all behind us. I was able to shrug off Ingo's political leanings for a long time, like so many other soap actors, but if he is out here actively advocating against the COVID vaccine my sympathy for Jax and patience with his performer is at an end. He can go.
  6. I do think it's a bit tacky to do the webseries concurrently with Haiduk on the mothership, but I also think having Eileen back in the role is not something they should've hesitated on no matter what, and I'm glad they didn't. Given what Eileen says in that lovely new interview, the only thing keeping her from playing Kristen more often is the heavy time commitment. I think Stacy Haiduk is a gifted actress who's done her best in an impossible job, but they need to give Eileen whatever kind of recurring schedule she requires to return to the role permanently.
  7. Do we know when exactly Joe 'died' in 1970, and when in '72 he returned? I was surprised to learn the turnaround on Viki and Joe and that they married as quickly as December of '69, a little over a year after the show had been on air (and I think Gillian Spencer quit in fall '70).
  8. Lisa basically played another of Agnes' Erica clones as Ava on LOV so it's understandable they'd think of her. But Susan was right to shut it down. There can be only one. Lind was a passable substitute for Eden, but I'd point to the above there too.
  9. Please stay safe and get off the streets. My heart's breaking for my old town rn
  10. Smilin' Stelter does not like other people 'holding them accountable':
  11. I have not forgotten nor will I forget how many people roasted her for adding Ravi to the show when I found the character utterly inoffensive and reasonably intriguing at the time, yet I still have folks telling me Kevin and Chloe are not expired goods! Let alone Chelsea, who has no purpose other than "Melissa Egan was popular on ABC"
  12. Maybe it's the outdoorwear and her hair going curly but Easton #4 and Becky have chemistry. If they have to park an OLTL man with her at Frank's behest at least he's not a serial killer.
  13. Hoo lord! I don't know how yall watch this show.
  14. Ron wrote David Vickers as a caricature because it was fun and easy. Tuc Watkins was willing to do the work but was generally given camp. Ron prefers outsize, OTT characters and enjoys writing vixens, villains, etc. most of all - that's why he let Franco, Nina, Obrecht, etc. dominate GH and leaned on Tess, et al on OLTL. Some of his broad characters work, but the problem is he doesn't know when to stop or how not to double or triple down. The situation at DOOL is no different.
  15. They held onto him a lot longer than I thought this time, given the history. That being said, the way DOOL actors go on and off-contract constantly nowadays I wouldn't be so sure it means that much re: his not remaining with the show. He may well be on a break like many others to keep costs down.
  16. That was a truly dreadful recast and a dreadful time but I'm sure he was a nice man, I guess? RIP?
  17. Burton has been obnoxious for a long time to me in a lot of ways, but he was incredibly respectful and complimentary of Leslie Charleson and her long, long history on the show when he had her on his dumb podcast and I was very pleased about that.
  18. Tamara Tunie (Jessica, ATWT) is featured in Netflix's upcoming live-action Cowboy Bebop adaptation.
  19. Nick Stabile was awful. Plenty of soap people are right-wing. As long as they shut the fùck up I can tolerate it.
