  1. Are Sarah and Mo getting along again? I could swear I remember her lashing out at him awhile back but they seem to be friendly on there. I think they would've gone for Liz if he'd stayed but kept Carly in the mix. I don't think they would have moved her away from Sonny though, because they were setting up the perceived 'clash of the titans' with her and Maurice for a long time. I have a hard time believing they would've put Jason and Carly together then, because I felt they were tilting away from them despite her intense yearning for him for a long time.
  2. I've said it elsewhere, but this whole situation seems weird as hell BTS. It used to take 6-12 months and an act of God to get Jason to begin to get serious with a woman onscreen - that was the going philosophy from the end of the '90s until this year. Now, Jason has bounced from Sam to what was practically a ONS with Britt (albeit with sudden and rushed confessions of love from Jason, which you must admit was real quick for him whether people liked that pairing or not) and now onto Carly, a pairing Steve and Jason have both shied away from for decades. I wonder what the hell is going on at the studio. Did the situation with Burton and Monaco become untenable and now Steve is trying to prove he's still the A-lead by opening the floodgates to literally anything?
  3. I must ask: Who the hell are Calista and Harrison Lord?
  4. Turco's not untalented but very often got pegged for very bland girlfriend/mother roles over the years, and she was a much blander April O'Neill in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movies (of all things!!) than the original, Judith Hoag. Thank you for reading the post dedicated to my never getting over the TMNT April recast.
  5. The end result is predictable and similar but Rose is a different thing. Nicki just has a gigantic ego and is intensely threatened when she either realizes she's wrong or either someone else is overtaking her.
  6. Never one to take an L quietly, Nicki Minaj has spent the last few hours RTing Tucker Carlson Spouting right-wing talking points about how 'Democrats tell [Black people] to shove marbles up our ass and we do it' but don't listen to the Republicans when they're right Got put in Twitter Jail and migrated to Instagram Was invited to the WH for a talking-to
  7. I'm sure they're there. I just think you'll see a dramatically different tone and response overall if [!@#$%^&*] jumps off this weekend.
  8. It was all over the news, Google and all over Twitter as it happened, lol. It ended at like 7-8 PM last night in California. Those hearings are heartbreaking. Wray should be canned. But re: this weekend, let's just say I think there's a lot of folks in the remaining Capitol police or higher above who are done [!@#$%^&*] around.
  9. I'm ready. Let's see that shít play out this time.
  10. Uh, yes, the recall failed very very quickly last night. It was done long ago.
  11. Lol I was about to say they'll probably bring her back to play piano at someone's wedding, and jane nails it.
  12. Was Paige Turco's Dinah largely an ingenue? That always seemed an odd fit to me, since I know her from other work.
  13. I have been saying this show is complete shít for literal years, sir, and that is entirely the fault of its executive producer, not "network higher-ups". You will not catch me defending GH in the last however many years because no matter how many times it has a few bright spots it is largely dogshit and has been, with brief good times for a year or two here or there, for the better part of two decades. The last time GH was humming for me was in stretches of 2012-13, and even then it was full of serious issues and bad stories.
  14. This is a very long series of glorious, Biblical drags.
  15. And Kasie Hunt has been mocked relentlessly all night and her negative ratio is at 2K and climbing.
  16. Blake Hounshell is Politico through and through. Their alumni are largely reared by conservative groups/clubs from school to career and most of their contacts are the 'sane, sober fiscal conservative' GOP. The reason they carry water for the GOP at all times and try to act like another version of the party exists is because, as has been enumerated by other critics in the past, the Beltway pundits prefer to believe the supposedly 'sensible' Republicans they know in DC as friends and colleagues are the real base of the party vs. the racist, deranged base that actually exists and holds majority office today.
  17. I think the photoshoot homage was a good idea. I think her expression is goofy and not working for the intent, even in camp/parody.
  18. I said it earlier, but Elizabeth Dennehy doesn't get enough credit for originating the character in the arch, semi-dark sort of Glenn Close Fatal Attraction mold. She's great in the stuff I've seen, albeit very different from Sherry.
  19. This will keep happening in tight races (which this was not). It happened in GA and it will happen again.
