RTD and his Bad Wolf production company are looking to consolidate the disparate DW streaming rights under the Disney+ umbrella. (Davies and Bad Wolf/BBC would retain control) As RTD has long talked about how his large franchise plans for Who (spinoffs, BTS shows, etc.) preceded the MCU and were what he wanted to keep building on to ensure its future, it's no surprise. He has also officially resurrected Doctor Who Confidential, which will be returning either next year or during Gatwa's first series. It's an interesting bit of synergy with something else I never knew, too: In the '60s, Disney apparently approached the BBC for the rights to the Marco Polo story.

I'd kill for it!

Time to resurrect this thread for this. @DRW50 Seems they've scrapped the movies in favor of a miniseries with Rick and Michonne, which would mark the only TWD thing I've watched in years.

It's been mentioned in the Knots Landing thread along with an excellent extensive interview with her, but Donna Mills (KL, GH, LIAMST) is featured in the beginning of Jordan Peele's Nope and looks stunning as always - IMO it's his best film. See it!

That's news to me if so. I do know he is in a money dispute with one of his ex-reps/managers who made a point of claiming she shielded him from a 'potentially career-ending allegation,' which is clearly this.

Getting past the initial shock it was a pretty strange case tbh. It seemed like the entire rest of the family (including the parents) were implying the nephew was deeply unwell and had a long history. That doesn't mean they can't have all lined up behind Ricky to shut him up and secure the bag, of course.

Devane has talked about wanting out by the end in one of the many in-depth and candid interviews on that big KL fansite, so I wonder how long they really had. I did get a glimpse of S14(?) when I peeked at one ep to see how Diana looked a good ten years later, and seeing both her and the impending Ewing twins as mid-size children in early '90s fashion and film stock or whatever was a big shift! And yeah, repetitive is how I feel about Dallas. Whereas KL keeps giving for me and I (clearly) can't talk about it enough.

I didn't know about this, do tell. I stand by my comments on the only way to do a Dallas revival today in that thread a few days ago, but my take would be even darker and more polarizing IMO, and limited. I do agree with Jacobs about switching the boys.

I'm just happy to let them keep do something different, but we'll see how it goes.

An interesting expose (part 1 of 2) which makes me a bit more interested in the spinoff than I was before, which was barely at all: I still think the alleged planned spinoff for Jon Snow beyond the Wall (supposedly Kit Harington's pitch he brought to HBO) is a very bad idea for both the show and him, but we'll see.

I've heard some very interesting and divisive things about Ends, which hardcore fans are up in arms about based on very little information. I loved Kills (basically Robert Altman's Halloween, with a touch of mysticism) but it was super divisive, so I am open to whatever they try that is new and intriguing. Nothing can be stranger than Carpenter's own plans for the future of the franchise in the mid-80s, which we've discussed here before, I think.

I did too, but I kind of wish he could be wrong. There's a funny bit in the Jacobs interview where Henry Winkler apparently called him raving about the show, saying it could still be on today. He's right. (He also talks about staffing the KL guest cast with Black actors as much as possible for years until he could get a Black family in the ensemble.)

People have counted Warnock out before. I'm not ruling anything out.
