  1. I just remember that the Peapack model made what was left of the Cedars sets look like the sushi joint from The Simpsons. Paper walls. I used to call it Sushi Hospital.
  2. I hate those kind of loose ends so I'd still pin it on Ava or Witch Nose Brennan/Pikeman or something. But I don't care either.
  3. Black Patch still sounds like a gay porn site. Don't get excited, old men.
  4. Are we really debating someone's fuckin' Bing AI search results in the Beyond the Gates production thread?
  5. I would bring Alcazar back for at least an arc, but not for Lois lol. And yes, that was all my thinking on Jax. There's a history and he plugs in all over. One of those dudes Carl dug up is hot! I'm so behind on Neighbours.
  6. The last thing this show needs (and the first thing it always wants) is another long-ass inoffensive baby story to kill time and pay for itself. This whole setup with Slow Talker Sasha's maybe baby is a prime opportunity for a classic soap exit of a useless character, where she leaves secretly pregnant with a major core child who can then return many, many, many years from now. Or not! Hey, even Kim Nero did it. Incidentally, I have heavily warmed to @carolineg's suggestion of recasting Jax for Lois. The buy-in is already there for his character and there is some history for it. It's the only good reason I can think of to bring back or recast Jax. Anyone know any available Aussies from Neighbours or something in the age range?
  7. I'm not sure they know either. But that's par for the course with GH. If (as some think) they try to put her over with Steve in some sort of baby Michael redux I will die laughing. Steve and Sofia Mattsson together is like weapons grade Sominex and even more of a nonstarter for me than him and Kelly Thiebaud, who I couldn't stand on the show in any story - but say what you will about her, Thiebaud and Steve had heat (and fans). Plus there's the equally bizarre Anna thing atm.
  8. I highly doubt it, but who knows. I think the entire Sasha debacle is there to cement SM and make her 'safe' after what had to be a very close call early this year. And I think if it turned out Holly was lying it would forever wreck the character even worse than this entire unpopular SL did for most non-Holly fans like myself. I think it was supposed to be a gift to the apparently-delighted Robert/Holly fanbase (what a choice) from a clear fan BTS and a HEA for Robert and Holly so Tristan can appear less per his health. If Holly turns out to be lying it all gets reset again and ruined. I think they are kind of flailing and banking on Alexa and Josh Kelly being a thing. Hopefully not at DZ's expense, but who knows with this show. They've screwed him before. I thought there was story to tell there re: Laura's fond memories of the old days with the family and feeling lingering sympathy for Heather, but it was mishandled onscreen almost from the jump.
  9. I honestly would not have wanted to sit through a story featuring Jordan in any key role. And I don't think Laura needed to be thrown under the wheels further for Heather than she already was. I was into the turn against Sonny but I understand the cynicism about it, since it was killed in its crib (again).
  10. I can't see Tracy ever turning on Lulu like that. She adores her. I am looking fwd to scenes with Jane and Alexa actually, almost as much as AH with Lulu's family. I just don't know what the endgame is supposed to be for Cody assuming FV is not going to try to shiv Dante long-term (which is a big if) and Sasha stays a Scorpio so he can guarantee Mattsson a job. Not that I wanted Sasha and Cody together, because I don't. I am more interested in keeping Cody in and of himself.
  11. There's nothing to do with it other than what's been done IMO, unless Leslie says otherwise. I don't feel it's appropriate to kill off a cornerstone character like that unless the actor consents and is definitely done. I think it's unlikely based on BTS talk and recent press that LC will return, sadly. But I'll always hope for it in some capacity, even just another voiceover bit. I don't love the writing this year that has made it clear Monica is ailing and unwell a la Lila Q's final days, but I understand the reason for it. All they can do that's tactful, realistically, is wait for Leslie to either be well enough to do something or pass away. I think killing her while she is still alive and by all reports cognizant if not physically capable would be a mistake.
  12. I am all for them playing the romance spoiler angle for now with Cody while Dante grieves, but I don't need to see his friendship with Cody busted up or DZ thrown under the bus so Frank can keep an OLTL castmember relevant. I am legit into Dante and Lulu with AH and I think Dominic more than deserves the A-tier again so I hope that's where this lands in the end. That said, I'm someone who has championed JK's place on the show as Cody for most of this year and I have no problem with him being here. I am still for him and Tracy tbh, but anything that gives the poor guy a break works for me.
  13. One of a kind. I've been taking another run at RH lately but she's always been a singular, immortal presence.
  14. Like I keep saying: Babies are the easiest story to greenlight that doesn't frighten the hausfraus (and it kills up to a year of story), so they just keep adding more fuckin' babies or baby stories. Exhausting.
  15. Just when I got back into RH. A legend, of course.
  16. Frank tried to get her to hang around on recurring during the 50th anniversary year (2013) along with the rest of the recurring vets they'd brought back. (I think he tried to do the same with Stephen Nichols, who was vocal about their lame offer in vague yet specific terms a few years later.) Genie refused and dipped in the fall with very little fanfare. She refused to return again after that without a contract, and they tried to cut her to recurring twice since then. Each time she has gotten the contract.
  17. I think Genie has just been on Frank's wrong side more than once and gotten away with getting her way because of her stature.
  18. Just had to say that Clem Moultrie is one fine dude. What a shame if they never utilized him properly, even for those times.
  19. It would not shock me, but I do believe that they invested in the search for Lulu (and got a top soap performer in doing so) and that either the network or FV was determined to get Jonathan back for some time. They certainly aren't using either Lucky or Laura to the fullest atm, but it's always hard these days to tell whether that's FV disinterest or just the inevitable consequences of his endless taping shuffle grind.
  20. Sidelining Genie this year has seemed very deliberate, and I don't think it is a question of any one writing team at this point.
  21. There's no excuse for not reuniting Lulu with her family during the Thanksgiving week, lol. I'll hold out hope that they will pull it out.
  22. I don't want to derail the thread, but in case anyone else was curious about this it's apparently this. Maybe we can set something up for it in the Foreign section when it gets closer if it looks half-decent (I am curious about the musical elements, which remind me of Jacques Rivette's musical Up Down Fragile).
  23. Kristian appears to be pointedly dissing elements of her last return here, which is interesting given rumors at the time:
  24. Thanks. I don't necessarily need the earliest appearance, I'd just like to see more of the overall picture. I've only seen a couple eps of her here and there. I'll poke around.
