I did happen to watch JESC this time around, and actually thought it was a really well-produced show, with lots of diverse songs. I’m keen for France to win the main contest again soon, just so I can see if France Television can do as good a job with the production as they did with JESC.

Called it ages ago… Nikolas knew Victor was alive all along! And OMG Martin and Lucy - I love how GH has sprung these unlikely couples on us in the past two years, Scotty and Liesl being the prime example.

There seems to be more of a move recently towards an “informal” progressive coalition to counter the Tories, especially now that the Tories have started to fall quite heavily in the opinion polls due to the recent scandals. We’ll see what eventuates. In terms of Lib Dem electability, it all goes back to when they were in coalition government with the Tories back in 2010-2015 (Nick Clegg who now works at Facebook was Lib Dem leader, as well as Deputy Prime Minister behind David Cameron). The Lib Dems had to make a whole bunch of sacrifices as part of the coalition agreement, which backfired on them badly and resulted in them almost getting wiped out in the 2015 election. Since then, it’s been a very very slow climb to try and shrug off that baggage, but in saying that, they’ve won two seats from the Tories in by-elections within the last 12 months. The next 12 months are going to be rather interesting…

I actually don’t mind either song, to be fair. In fact I’ve had Lights Off on repeat a number of times today, and not sick of it yet.

29 years ago today, Christie Clark reclaimed the role of Carrie. I still believe that she had amazing chemistry with Patrick Muldoon, and in turn, Muldoon and Lisa Rinna had off-the-charts sibling chemistry.

Robin and Anna reunited on All My Children back in 2001 when Anna was starting to get her memory back, so that angle was already covered. It was more Robert that they were portraying as the deadbeat dad when he returned to GH in 2006 - and boy Robin made him suffer for ages because of it. Even Anna was p***ed at Robert for a while, but as we know, they all smoothed things over with each other in the end.

I hope that KW means the Maxie/Louise/Peter storyline… that particular story has sorely needed Felicia as a source of support for her daughter Maxie for ages and ages. Although I wouldn’t terribly mind if it was the Ryan storyline as well (it would be interesting to see if she has any interactions with Esme)

Having virtually all the Cassadines in one room was an absolute hoot to watch! The dynamics between them all (Victor, Valentin, Alexis, Nikolas, Spencer) were all different, and so stereotypically dysfunctional - I loved it!

Oooh yes here we go… Laura’s back, and interacting with Victor! And Victor in turn appears to be tied up with Nikolas and Ava…

Starting from the 13:30 mark here, this is one of the funniest sequences I’ve seen on DAYS. Eugene and Calliope were one heck of a couple, and I have no idea how anyone managed to keep a straight face during Eugene’s “memorial service”.

I’ve been falling down the The Pawn storyline rabbit hole on YT, and it’s incredible what happened all at the same time (May 1986): John is Roman Kim gave birth to Andrew Bo finds out Victor is his father Days was firing on all cylinders at the time!

To think that during Drake H’s initial episodes on Days, they were simultaneously toying with the idea of Marlena and Chris Kositchek (plenty of scenes with them in this 1986 compilation)…

This time around, they have extended the contest format to include quarter-finals, the first of which was held last weekend. 10 songs will be shown in each quarter final, with 5 songs from each show progressing to the semi-finals which will be held in February next year, culminating with the grand final on February 12. 🇨🇿🇨🇿🇨🇿 The selection for the Czech entry will occur online between 7 and 15 December, with the performances being recorded live-to-tape and revealed on 6 December. The final result will be announced on 16 December - international jury vote will comprise 50%, with international fan vote 25% and Czech fan vote 25%. 🇦🇱🇦🇱🇦🇱 Festivali i Këngës 60, Albania’s selection, will occur across three consecutive nights between 27 and 29 December, inclusive. I do hope that Alexis checks in on Valentin at some point - Valentin needs family around him right now. In saying that, it could be possible that both Alexis and Valentin will become further embroiled with Victor’s shenanigans soon…

Which episode was the Dorian/Karen interaction on? On a related note, it was nice seeing Robin Strasser and Jackie Courtney in scenes together (the bitchiness oozes from Dorian in those scenes) - I can only imagine how that would have been back in their AW days…

Loved the Spencer/Sonny scenes - NC and MB actually play well against each other. And I love how much Sonny is giving Spencer the tough love while also sympathising with him at the same time. And like @AlexElizabethI enjoyed just how much Trina stood up to Esme - I think Trina knows in her mind that Esme is not all quite there. And that last bit with Esme’s hand bleeding from her nails digging in so much - she’s slowly but surely unravelling… I also actually liked Ned/BL/Olivia/Robert - BL giving Ned some home truths, as does Robert to Olivia. Hoping that Olivia can start to meet Ned halfway re Leo.
