Neither would I. Jax never put her life in danger like Sonny did, time and time again.

I honestly don't understand the whitewashing of US history. What does it hurt to teach about CRT, slavery, trafficking all through the years? There's a difference between teaching and indoctrination.

It was a shame, because Jax and Skye had become a rather good pairing. That said, of course Jax would dump her or any woman as soon as he found out that Brenda was alive.

I do remember the tests results being mailed in 1998 and Jax burning them after Brenda went off that bridge. I don't remember Skye finding out about them in 2002, but I'll take your word for it.

@Soaplovers, what a great post. I personally hated the New Stailand plot, but you made some valid points about it. Who knows how much the trajectory of SB would be different had Joel Crothers lived. Would Jack Lee have been Julia's endgame instead of Mason? Would he have been an interloper in the Eden/Cruz relationship? 1985 also had Eden and Cruz's doomed first wedding at the Capwell Hotel, which I've always seen as SB's homage to The Towering Inferno. The special effects were pretty impressive for a soap at that time.

Yes, I think Brenda's mom came on only a month or so before VM left in 1998. It was revealed when VM returned in 2002 that Brenda did not have the disease her mother had.

GH sure got a lot of mileage out of that cottage set. After Brenda went off that bridge in 1998, I think Robin lived there alone for awhile. When she left, Nikolas took it over. I think someone else moved in there at some point.

Who was the most serious - or at least longest-running - non-Mason love interest for Julia? Michael Donnelly?

Wow, and I was watching every day in 1997-98. I do remember that she moved into the cottage around that time - is it because her financial situation dictated that?

I don't remember that story. What year was that?
