  1. Thanks for your insight. Of course, both Michael Landrum and Armand Assante went on to play Dr. Mike Powers on TD. What did you think of Lauren White as Armand's wife (who also later went on TD)?
  2. Yes. I found a couple of screen caps with her circa 1980:
  3. She originated the role, as a child. Blake was still going by the first name of Christina.
  4. Since this thread is about recasts, here are GL's four Blakes (Cheryl Lynn Brown, Elizabeth Dennehy, Sherry Stringfield and Elizabeth Keifer) in a photo shoot for the 20th anniversary issue of People in early 1994. Love the backdrop of soap bubbles. 😊
  5. I think I still have my dog-eared, worn copy of the magazine somewhere. 😂 The backdrop of soap bubbles was a nice touch.
  6. The four Blakes (Cheryl Lynn Brown, Elizabeth Dennehy, Sherry Stringfield and Elizabeth Keifer) in a photo spread for the 20th anniversary issue of People in 1994:
  7. I mostly remember her from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2!! 😂
  8. When was his second stint as HW? The first time, he had not one but two EPs who were in tandem with his ideas - Linda Gottlieb and Susan Bedsow Horgan. Not to mention that all soaps were being hamstrung by now with more network interference.
  9. I remember when the People 20th anniversary issue dropped in early 1994. They did a photo shoot with the three adult Blakes: Elizabeth Dennehy, Sherry Stringfield and Elizabeth Keifer - and Cheryl Lynn Brown, who played the role as a child.
  10. Or soaps in general, but hey...😂
  11. Of course, it would have made more sense for the kid's last name to be Anderson - or for his father to be Ben McKinnon, Jake's cousin.
  12. I don't think so, because in the credits Nancy Frangione was always listed with the dayplayers instead of alphabetically with the contract players.
  13. So much for Mary being "like a daughter to him".
  14. Yup, it was obvious that there was chem testing with them going on. Had the show even implied that Jake had a nephew before this?
  15. At least the Senate hearing today was slightly more civilized (and I saw most of it) than the ridiculousness that went on yesterday at the House hearing. What a mess, all around.
  16. These people are exhausting. 😡
  17. ^ Didn't SSH come back full-time just after JER became headwriter? If so, that's as good an explanation as any.
  18. I didn't see SF's Amanda as anything but a romantic heroine. CT's Amanda was much more corporate businesswoman. Laura Moss' Amanda...I couldn't see her as either.
  19. What's next? Cat food? 🙄😡🤬
  20. I still can't believe that the Capwells continued to use the same C that killed Mary on top of the hotel. We still saw it there several years later!! 😳
  21. All I know about that show is that a pre-Newhart Mary Frann was in it. I'll have to see if any of it is on YouTube.
  22. Zuckerberg is no better than the lunatics in the GOP. They all have blood on their hands. 😡😡😡😡😡
  23. And of course, Fran Brill went on to become the first female Muppeteer on Sesame Street. I knew Armand Assante had been on the show as a boxer, but not that he had to speak in an Irish accent. 😂
