  1. Which really shows how dim some of these people are. No matter what laws are put in place by a shadow docket, they're not going to stop abortions from happening. I am personally anti-abortion except for cases like rape and incest, but I know that it's not a one size fits all issue. The provision of deputizing people as bounty hunters is outrageous and dangerous, and the fact that the GOP is so hypocritical when it comes to COVID-19 is why especially in TX they should be voted out.
  2. Very good points. The best episodes of his show are when the guests just pick up the narrative and run with it, almost as if he's not there.
  3. Well, there are plenty of women who are angry in TX, thanks to the GOP. Don't count them out.
  4. I agree, but I think by now it's wishful thinking. It'll be interesting to see who he gets to appear.
  5. Of course, the biggest primetime recast ever might be Darrin Stephens (Bewitched). Back to SB, at the beginning Gina seemed to be weak while Santana was strong. A couple of recasts later, with Robin Mattson and Gina Gallego in the roles, Gina became strong and Santana weak. It's really amazing how recasts can truly change the trajectory of a character.
  6. Was Blaine even mentioned again after 1985?
  7. eBay had listed this great photo collage of Jacquie Courtney at an antique shop in the late 1970s:
  8. It also helped that the writing seemed tailored for each of the actresses playing Gina. For example,I can't picture Robin Mattson playing the material Linda Gibboney played as Gina and vice versa. No way could I see Linda's Gina with Keith.
  9. Exactly. He also doesn't help his cause by not doing his homework and getting things wrong. He doesn't have to be a hard-hitting soap journalist, but it's not hard to read up on shows and their actors/characters.
  10. He also stayed during the power failures, reaching out to seniors while some other people *cough* fled to Cancun. Right there, that says a lot.
  11. Agreed. Why not let them (who people came to watch in the first place) say whatever they want?????
  12. That's how I feel. Most of his AW episodes are pretty good, too - especially when Alice Barrett-Mitchell got candid about her firing. I don't think Alan sees candor as a good thing.
  13. I hope he runs and wins. He's definitely better than what they have now.
  14. At least there were plenty of precautions taken yesterday. Better safe than sorry.
  15. Wasn't Chris Rich asked to return (I don't know for how long) and he turned them down?
  16. Thank you, @j swift. Wasn't Jacquie let go in 1983, the same year Joe Stuart moved to helm Loving? If he had stayed, maybe she would have too. Who knows?
  17. Someone should DM your post to Locher. 👏👏👏👏👏
  18. Also, they could not have picked a more perfect song. I wasn't familiar with Bette Midler's "In This Life" before the finale, but now it's iconic to AW fans.
  19. Was the twin before she met Bo? Wasn't she Bo's first love interest on the show?
  20. Their loss was ABC's gain!
  21. Thank you. I do recall Ellen Holly shading her portrayal of the twin in Llanview in the Afternoon. Ouch.
  22. Yes, that's what I thought. Thanks. It was nice years later when Dallas was revived on TNT, that Gary and Val showed up.
