I agree, especially because a younger woman can be and often is prey for a lecherous older man. I'm infuriated at how much she has been used and groomed by him, and sickened because she has obviously been destroyed by him.

Here's something interesting I read once...Tom Wiggin was in the Columbia University drama department in the mid-70s. Another student in the drama department was Jami Fields, who had played the role of Penny Davis on The Doctors as a young teen. Her mother on TD was played by an actress who would later share much screen time with Tom Wiggin on ATWT - Liz Hubbard!! 😎😊

Had social media been around at the time these shows were originally on and then cancelled, they might have had more of a chance. They were also pre-Netflix, which may very well have helped.

That would also apply to the much-recast role of Dr. Mike Powers on The Doctors. A whopping TEN actors played the role in less than 20 years (the longest-running Mike being the fourth, Peter Burnell from 1968-1973, the shortest being the ninth, Ashby Adams from November 1981 to March 1982). Hey, there were similarities - both were young doctors, and both were the sons of doctors who happened to be legacy characters (Dr. Matt Powers and Dr. Larry Wolek, of course).
