Supposedly, the reason why TSS changed its title from "The Storm Within" was because an antacid company signed on as a sponsor. That story still makes me laugh (I read it in Gerry Waggett's Soap Encyclopedia). As for "House of Hope", I thought that was the title of the proposed TD spinoff that NBC was supposed to launch in 1970. (Instead, NBC chose another spinoff - AW's "Somerset".) I might be confusing it with something else.

That was great!! I could listen to their stories all day. It was fun learning from Anna Stuart that aside from Adrienne Barbeau, the other runner-up for the role of Toni Ferra was Jennifer Darling. Jennifer Darling was married at that time to Paul Henry Itkin, who would join TD about a year later as Toni's ex-boyfriend (the lecherous Dr. Vito McCray). She went on to a recurring role on "Eight is Enough" and a prolific career doing voiceovers.
