  1. It would be nice if they would at least run a different episode from the ball so we could get it in HD. Oh well!
  2. I feel like they used COVID as an excuse to save money. They couldn't have extras and it was "too expensive to clean the sets" so they minimized, and now they just kept it that way when other lower-rated shows look the same as they did before, and even have location scenes.
  3. Anyone else feel like Daniel is kind of manic when he talks about his new project? He was addicted to porn back in the day, and I wonder if he's addicted to gaming now. Of course this could just be subtext brought by Graz that will go nowhere. Devon did seem to be picking up on it the other day though.
  4. They've got to do something, because they're at the point where the lack of sets severely limits what the writers can do. They can't tell storylines involving a hospital or a police station or a courtroom! They just all meet at the coffehouse and if there's a court case they pretend to get a text with the judge's decision. They decided to bring Hillary back as Amanda, the brilliant lawyer who never lost a case, and build her storyline on her grandfather's case and then they don't show the trial. Dominick is so sick he needs a transplant but all his doctors treat him in the living room. Every single storyline is narrative exposition of things that happened offscreen. Griffith is terrible but no one can write like this. Soaps in the 50s and 60s managed better. It's pathetic. Yeah, this is where I'm at too. The show is terrible. It's not even really a show because they don't show anything happening. But at least it's just background noise while I do other stuff with actors I want to see, sometimes doing good work. I'll take it over the days of a million doppelgangers running around but that's very faint praise. At least they're not actively destroying the show right now. The cast is good, the threads are there if there were decent writers and a budget to pick it up, but that will never happen, so I guess just leave it like this so we get a good classic clip show a couple of times a year.
  5. Not a beef... an affair. Jeanne said Beau was the love of her life! But she felt she was too old for him. Muhney was alleged to have groped Hunter King. There was also some petty drama between him and Eric Braeden, like parking in Braeden's spot and stuff like that.
  6. Jeanne Cooper & Beau Kayzer Melody Thomas having a baby with the makeup artist then marrying Ed Scott Michael Muhney Scientology drama between Michael Fairman (Murphy) and Michelle Stafford but I don't remember details
  7. May 19, 1997 from Jeff Keys on YouTube
  8. Catching up on the week and I find it a bit convenient how Harrison always cries for "Deedee" but has never once asked for his actual mother.
  9. Someone uploaded a very nice quality full episode from 12/18/95 to the Vault... thank you, if you are reading here. ❤️
  10. Is that a set? 😆 Just kidding, I think. If they are not going to show Paul anymore, they may as well put these two back together for good.
  11. This article from June 2022 says she still is. She also still tap dances as we saw in the 1991 masquerade ball! https://www.closerweekly.com/posts/why-young-and-the-restless-star-kate-linder-works-as-flight-attendant/
  12. If you scroll down all the way I did leave a comment with all the B&B dates February 2, 1994 and December 17, 1993. I don't know the episode #s.
  13. Speaking of 1995 I literally just found this on archive lol. Most of the Y&R we have, but can someone please help me confirm the B&B dates? https://archive.org/details/d-7-yngrst-4 2) CBS the young and the restless 10/25/95 3) CBS the young and the restless (actually B&B 10/25/95) 4) CBS bold and beautiful - possibly 10/20/95? 5) CBS the young and the restless 10/12/95 - we have 6) CBS the young and the restless (actually B&B - possibly 10/12/95?) 7)CBS the young and the restless (10/13/95 - we have) 8 ) CBS bold and beautiful (10/13/95)
  14. The giant Christmas ornament, LOL. They both look good though.
  15. I would love this! I think there's a good chance since they did Michael and even Esther. And they just did Sheila's. I hope we can get something really new... not just the banana split and Sheila stuff. Maybe the scenes where Lauren's mother comes back and Lauren overhears her say she never wanted her. I don't think we have ever seen those. I would also like to see Lauren and Paul's wedding with Jazz as a witness (there was a very very brief clip of it in the 1986 German episodes). I would like to see more of Lauren bullying Traci which would most likely be put together with the scene of them making up. They should feature Brad - maybe the time she gave him a heart attack making love and then she had the catfight with Traci. Also want to see her featured as a businesswoman in her large office. I feel like they would be likely to show more recent stuff that is more Michael-centric, which is fine since that stuff is almost 20 years old at this point, but I would love to see more rare stuff. The scenes with their confrontation over her affair with Carmine were really good. I wonder if they would show the retcon of her being sisters with Jill. They completely ignored Nikki's retcon son Dylan in her episode, haha.
  16. I just realized the third file which is labelled B&B also does include the full Y&R from 12/17/93!
  17. I've been going through some VHS tapes. Found one of the missing episodes 2001-02-21 #3493 and uploaded it to the new vault.
  18. I always assumed it was the same day but it's hard to keep track when a typical day is just them wandering around to the coffeehouse, then the park, then back to the coffeehouse, then Society, then the park, then a meeting at Society... ETA: Only like 4 days passed between Halloween and Thanksgiving. Chelsea went into the 72 hour hold on Halloween and then spent one night in her new apartment and it was Thanksgiving.
  19. By now it's just inertia, but in its prime, it was like watching a well crafted movie every day. They had the best acting, sets, score, directing, and writing. There seemed to be so much thought and care into every shot and every reaction. So much of soaps is filling time and recapping the story for those who have missed previous episodes, but the dialogue was so strong that it wasn't boring. If the episode ended with Jill knocking on Kay's door or Jack walking into Victor's office, you knew the next day was going to be good, even though they would be discussing the same topic they've discussed 500 times. I lived for the quips from Jack or Col. Douglas Austin. I always thought the show had great dry humor and never understood why people said it was the least funny soap. I also loved that it focused more on family and business dramas rather than just supercouples. The characters stayed true to their cores and felt relatable. They really stayed away from shock drama much longer than other soaps (succumbed to it after Bell left).
  20. Wow, you resolved it so quickly
  21. So she didn't tell him the whole truth. Lying about being sick is one thing, but she also kidnapped Flo and held her prisoner. I wouldn't expect Adam to care, but the rest of the Abbots and Newmans would.
