  1. They are there in other social media posts BUT, where's Drake Hogestyn? Also, while I assume the hospital set is storyline dictated, it is amusing to think that they probably didn't have another set large to fit this many people. (certainly not the town square of Brady Pub). AND, despite the fact that they got rid of their PR department, I don't think we've gotten this much news out of DAYS in years (Playgirl, new cast members, 15,000th episode). It is something new every day!
  2. I think Blake Berris is an intriguing actor. He is handsome, but quirky, and not an obvious "soap hunk.” He reminds me of Gerald Anthony in that he's an emotional actor who is unexpectedly cast in daytime (not that he is exactly as talented as GA, but I think you understand my point). Given that it is the second time that the production has tried to build a story around him, I just hope they don't write him into a corner. His last session with Marlena suggested that Everett's secret lies with his family history, not his accident. My hope is that explaining his actions in relation to a family trauma will allow Blake to stay on Days for a while longer.
  3. It's a funny thing, because 20somethings living in an apartment complex starting their careers is sexy, but 60somethings doing the same thing is called Assisted Living and seems far less appealing. I mean, I am certain that they're all well-preserved, but it will take a lot of exposition to explain why they're still tied to a rental they lived in three decades ago.
  4. Daytime Dilemma was one of my favorite campaigns. I particularly enjoy this one when they announce it is the last Daytime Dilemma, and they'll be contacting the grand prize winner by phone. Can you imagine if you didn't have an answering machine? You'd be waiting there all day long! Looking back, they were incredibly easy, but I still don't know how people entered. I guess they called, and didn't send postcards like in older promotions. But, it is so foreign to think that you'd have to be watching at one particular time of day, call the number, and hope to see the same commercial the next day.
  5. Sorry, I meant Seattle, not San Francisco.
  6. My Bobby/Everett confusion is based on his past as a reporter. When he was introduced, it was said that he had won awards and published some big expose in San Francisco. So, did he do that since the accident? Or was that as Bobby Stein? Wouldn't he be famous enough in San Francisco to be recognized? Why are they searching for answers in Salem rather than traveling? Paul's got a place in town, why not ask him?
  7. Are we to assume nobody has any original ideas for pilot season this year? I'm hitting the snooze button until we get a Savannah reboot. 😉
  8. Julie Ann Johnson is a real estate agent in New York. Real estate is the default answer for many former daytime actors, e.g. Ty Treadway, Lisa Peluso, etc... That or drama teacher at a small town university. https://streeteasy.com/profile/832498-julie-ann-johnson High energy and a passion for finding the perfect match for buyers and sellers has helped Julie Ann sell over $100 million dollars in real estate. Whether it is a townhouse, loft or traditional apartment, her love for architecture and design helps her find just the right place for you to call home. She also possesses expertise in all types of rentals. A New Yorker for 25 years and a former actress, she had a contract role on One Life to Live and appeared in over 50 national TV commercials. Let her real estate magic work for you today!
  9. no. Laura Dern is the exec producer, based on a book by Juliet McDonald, and adapted by Abe Sylvia who did the film Eyes of Tammy Faye, and George & Tammy, so that's more of the vibe. It is certainly smarter and cooler than Desperate Housewives, but I can see the similarity to the pilot in terms of a dense plot and a balance of high jinks and sincerity.
  10. Like most Apple TV shows this one doesn't seem to be getting a lot of press, but it is really fun. My experience with Apple + is that every time I go on the service, I am constantly surprised that some huge actor has a show that I've heard about before. I swear I'll play trivia soon and the question will be, “Which Gary Oldman show is on its third season, but you've never read about it anywhere?” I tend to think Carol Burnett's portrayal of a woman recovering from a stroke might get some blow back on any other platform. It is a very broad and silly characterization, filled with turbans and odd groans. It reminds me a lot of her old characters from her variety show. The costumes and scenery are so rich and colorful. The central mystery is fun and convoluted. One expects Allison Janey and Kristen Wiig to be great. But, the real revelations are Leslie Bibb and Josh Lucas. They are usually cast as straight men, or have to depend on their looks, but in this they are as wacky and bizarre as the rest of the cast. I was also so happy to see Julia Duffy back on TV. I hope others are watching it because it is scratching the itch that I hoped Feud would fulfill.
  11. She looks great, and who doesn't love a crop top. Gabi was given the most rush job of an exit. She's in prison, and has had to endure multiple injuries, for a crime that has yet to be put before a jury. Kristen, Harris, and Tate have all been in and out of the system, while poor Gabi is stuck inside. I hope she gets a big revenge story against those who've doubted her.
  12. We're gonna need a rule about how many times something can be re-booted
  13. James Read from his North & South days was pretty hunky I was surprised that they featured Christopher Sean and Bryan Datillo (who were not contract players at the time of the photoshoot) over Dan Feuerriegel, who has done some racy stuff in the past. From the BTS video, it looks like it was cold and rainy at that rental house, which may account for both the shrinkage and the lighting.
  14. I meant Josh Landers, Lassiter/Landers, tomato/tomato, all of those guys run together in my mind
  15. It is kind of random what people know and don't know in Salem today. Ava knows that Tripp and Wendy are engaged. And Tripp knows that Ava worked with Stefan to distribute drugs (and is rather forgiving of it, given that he was almost killed). But, Tripp doesn't know that Wendy can do martial arts (bet that comes in handy soon...). Kristen didn't know that Stefon was arrested. However, she knows everything that Holly did, even though she wasn't at the christening. Meanwhile, if we flash back to Tripp and Wendy exchanging vows in a beer silo one more time, I'll be able to repeat the dialogue from memory. Also, doesn't it seem like EJ speaks to Mr. Shin more often than Wendy does? And Mr. Shin seems more angry at Stefan than he is worried about his daughter (or son's killer).
  16. Also, it is repetition of history that the downfall of every lawman who goes against Sonny only does so for personal reasons. They seem to do that to justify Sonny's defense. He's just a coffee importer, but the feds have a vendetta against him.
  17. Not to mention, it is a bit tacky to the 2-3 other people that they both have been married to in the last 40 years; like Sabrina and Dr. Lassiter. And yet, any opportunity to see Nikki's humungous dress again is always appreciated.
  18. For those wondering, in the video, Paul Telfer gets a little cheeky. Not worth the upgrade, but I was curious.
  19. Very disappointing. Not even a hint of VPL, a hip, or some side tush. And the interview feels as if it was written by Chat GPT. Is there anything else about being a “soap hunk” and daytime actor that you’d like talk about? https://playgirl.com/features/soaking-up-the-soap-hunk-legacy/
  20. thanks But, did Mackenzie die in the bomb? And was her husband the one that Jane and Sydney killed in self-defense, but then it wound up that he wasn't really dead?
  21. I don't know why, but I always thought Hunter Tylo was cast to appear as the woman who wound up getting killed when Marcia Cross's character tried to blow up the building. I think the part wound up being played by Morgan Britany, and she was the wife of a character who one of the female leads was having an affair with (maybe Jane?) I have a vague recollection that Kimberly had an alter ego, like the killer on Twin Peaks. And they had to delay or reshoot the episode because of a bombing in real life. Does anyone remember that reference?
  22. It was another weird time jump day when it seems like nobody has spoken to each other in a month. I think Steve saw Kayla at the hospital when they rescued Tripp. So, why did he wait to tell her about Clyde until two weeks later? Brady and Alex work together every day, so why is he just learning that Theresa moved into his apartment? I continue to think that DAYS hasn't adapted its storytelling to streaming. It seems unnecessary to have over 50% of the episode be a recap for viewers. The short scenes and repetitive dialogue feel like remnants of broadcast TV. I had hoped DAYS would use the move to Peacock to find more creative ways of playing with how to write a soap. Finally, we got interesting canonical information today. Brady and Tate are going to a Cubs game. Does this confirm that Salem is in Illinois, or are they going on a road trip to Wrigley Field from Nowhereland? I think they referenced Lake Michigan last summer when Rolf left on his submarine. So, the clues are adding up. I assume that will be useful when Nicole is gone. I wonder if you've confused your algorithm with the actual top 10? Because Peacock wouldn't know the most watched shows for Monday until tomorrow, since it is only noon on the West Coast now. I am also anticipating the return of union writers, but I don't see evidence that the scabs have had a negative effect on the streaming numbers, which based on the graph are on an upward trend.
  23. Considering that he filmed the whole movie Acrimony in five days, Debbi Morgan could be done by lunch. 😄
  24. The current Jordan/Claire story feels similar to what I thought Diane and Ally were going to be. I feel like we never explored their connection, and I had hoped Diane was trying to use Ally to con Jack. Meanwhile, to me, it never seems as if Claire has shaken her creepiness from her original story with Nikki. Also, if Cricket gets to be Christine, why hasn't Nikki ever graduated to being known as Nicole? You'd think Victor would've dropped the diminutive nickname over the years.
