  1. I don’t hate Haley at all - and she’s probably as much Bill‘s victim as Dani is. He’s significantly older than her and the power dynamics between them were never equal. He knew she came from a broken family and likely preyed on all these insecurities to sleep with her. It’s also painfully obvious that Bill wanted a younger trophy wife more than anything else.
  2. Even Dana/Leslie/Sherry is less delusional than Dani.
  3. So Paramount higher-ups forced them, lol. BET, like its sister MTV, has such a trash schedule with the same things airing over and over again. You’d think they’d be more open to something that’s already in the Paramount family. Maybe if the 10 episodes exceed expectations, they’ll air it regularly. Also, BET did air the ET specials during BTG’s premiere week as well.
  4. I feel like most people I’ve encountered (who aren’t necessarily soap diehards like many here) first sampled Generations or were aware of it through the BET rebroadcast in the 90’s. Myself included - but that was during the heyday of cable television, which has a much more limited audience now. But still, this is a great redistribution platform - and BET is still a Paramount subsidiary, so makes sense that they would create synergy and leverage it for BTG. They’ve also been very strategic and smart with the press rollout of this show. Giving priority to black-owned or black-centric media properties with exclusives and such.
  5. Yes, it's also reflected on the BET schedule on their website. This is great exposure for the show, even though not many people are watching cable television these days. https://www.bet.com/tv-schedule
  6. B&B has OG Sheila bartending at the budget Olive Garden:
  7. I don’t care yall. Queen Leslie/Dana walks on water and imma back her up to get what she believes is rightfully hers, lol
  8. Florence Henderson is rolling in her grave as we speak!
  9. MVJ called Julie Carruthers their “firefighter” on IG. Assume she’s the one that’s been dealing with all the production hiccups that happened in the beginning.
  10. P&G has long had some of the longest standing and most liberal policies for its LGBTQIA+ employees in corporate America. That’s often been a source of conservative bigots and political groups calling for boycotts of their products as well. Those why try to claim otherwise are severely misinformed and have another agenda going on.
  11. At one point, Y&R and B&B were supposed to move to a new studio. That was put on pause, but I wonder for how much longer? CBS no longer owns Television City. The Price Is Right moved out in 2023.
  12. I always wondered the story behind why he left DAYS. Did he not get along with Tom Lagan? When Shelley Curtis returned to GH, she brought him with her.
  13. Posted some clips that got merged with my original post above. 😉
  14. RIP. DAYS never had good background music again after he left, IMO. His GH background music was also great. When he started composing for ER, I immediately knew it. This, in particular, still stands out and makes me want to cry uncontrollably: I first discovered his work on GH before viewing the classic DAYS episodes on YouTube. These themes are seared in my brain from GH in the 90’s. Sonny and Brenda’s theme is also a big highlight for me: Carly’s theme: Stone’s death theme:
  15. Yeah, the actors have all said the first month or two of production was a bit rough and there was a lot of growing pains. Most of their crew has never done daytime soaps before, and in particular, their camera crew and editor was totally new to this way of working. Karla Mosley said a woman had to come out of retirement to train the camera crew how to shoot for soaps in the first month. That and their lighting equipment wasn’t ready during the first week of production. Tamara Tunie said a lot of the kinks have since been worked out, so I think the production consistency should gradually get better over the next few weeks/month.
  16. Honestly, Kat judging Eva’s wardrobe when she damn well knows girl ain’t rich makes her a bit unlikable. I was ready for Eva to give Kat a good beat down after that.
  17. Given the audience skewed younger and more multicultural, it’s safe to say a bunch of folks who don’t typically watch daytime tuned in for the premiere week. That’s encouraging - let’s hope they stick around.
  18. At a certain point, she needs to realize her marriage is over (for now) and it wasn’t just Haley’s fault. How many episodes in a row does she need to harp on the same things? They need to explore other aspects of Dani. She’s becoming very one-note.
  19. I desperately need Dani to move the f.uck on. It’s exhausting watching this character do the same sh!t over and over again, and we’re only in week #2! Imma need Haley to finally snap and turn that gun back on Dani’s ass.
  20. Or even become friends with Shanice to boring ass Ashley’s chagrin.
