10-19 This might be scattershot. GH is so weird sometimes. The week before it was so lackluster in a 'throw it at the wall, see what sticks' kinda of way, this week everything is just converging nicely if abruptly. Like this race to save Drew. While I loved everyone (especially Anna/Scorpio and Jason/Britt) realizing where he is and Dr. O is and heading to Greece, it also felt weirdly abruptly rushed. So much stuff going on and taking in and twists (Ugh at Peter kidnapping Dr. O still-please let her be the one to kill him in the end and brainwashing Drew-with the totally gratuitous stripping off of clothes reveal), it could be dizzying. Meanwhile, I do love that how MB is playing Sonny right now. It's like for all of him saying he's Sonny, it's clear he's been very 'Mike as Sonny' vs just old school Sonny. Signs here or there, but he's so still dealing with Nixon Falls and his adventures there. And that was the kind of fallout (if they were going to rush that) that I was looking for. I still expect him to just have a moment and passionately kiss Nina. You can't be this whole other person, fall in love with someone, and those feelings just stop. And that's how I feel MB is playing it and I like that. And because he's playing that I feel Sonny and Nina NOW have some subtle chemistry. And meanwhile...who is this guy stalking Curtis and TJ. Hmmmm. I am liking this build as well. But I don't what is up with casting news on the guy. And *swoon* at the Spencer and Trina the other day as she let him have it. And POOF! gone. And I found the Ava/Portia talk explaining why we are not seeing Trina clusmy. Do like we are getting into the 'Mother against Love Interest' story everyone called. But Spencer and Trina have so much potential for conflict built in. Love it. Loving Anna and Valentin together. But I stay loving it when Anna kicks butt.

POTOMAC Wow...how the tables have turned. Last year in the Monique vs Candiace fight, everyone without any sense was Team Candiace when she did not even deserve it if only because they were trying to ice Monique out. With Monique gone, here they are trying to be the OPPOSITE of next year. Now they want to talk about Candiace's accountability? Where was this last year? Oh, yeah...getting rid of a rival. Got it! Meanwhile, after not being missed, here comes the GEB. I hollered at where Wendy put them. Lol. Karma is a B. LA DAME. Continued to prove how great she is. As soon as the salad toss went down, where was she? Immediately trying to get through to Candiace. After all, this happened last year. And as a true friend, she was giving the benefit of the doubt immediately. She knew how it was going to look. So I respect that. And then she let Mia vent as well. Being friends with both...what a concept. Meanwhile, she gave so many funny moments and the thing with G ewwwwww. GIZELLE. Girl, I see you. Candiace went to bat for you at the reunion when Monique shattered that image. And then there she was, throwing Candiace under the bus during the Candiace vs Ashley fight. And since we all know that where Gizelle goes, Robyn follows, it is just a matter of time. But the clips from the reunion already sound like they will be coming from Candiace more than they did at last year's reunion. And she wanted to be grumpy about a bathroom when SHE was all about Wendy not having a bathroom at her party...yeah, drink up what you sow, silly girl. ROBYN. Girl, get a storyline. Even Cynthia did it better. WENDY. She was a hoot. Eating her food while Ashley vs Candiace went down. Being kind when Mia vs Candiace went down and being there for Mia. Getting Gizelle and Robyn back for the Reasonably Shady party. She wasn't wrong. And I hollered at her being mad at the men (along with La Dame) for buying them shots, but not their own wives. I actually felt like we were seeing Wendy again, rather than Baby Doll, the person she's been most of this season. ASHLEY. First of all, why did they edit out the S6 trailer scene where Ashley mocked Candiace in the fight. I was looking forward to that since they released that trailer. If they edit out La Dame talking to Gizelle about her letting Jamal back in only for him to drag her again I will seriously side-eye the producers. I already am doing that for how this whole 'Eddie cheating' has basically faded away. Not that that's bad. Just noticeable. That said, Ashley was living up to her tagline this season by baiting Candiace and she took the bait. And sorry, I felt Ashley won that. And no matter what, The GEB will always have her back. Candiace must be internally livid at that. CANDIACE. Ugh. Doing so well and now doing the same thing she did last year at the roughly same time last year. Making it hard to cheer for her. And Chris was not wrong. These girls have been baiting her for years. And she raises to it almost every time. When is she going to grow up? One would think now that she's finally focusing on her career, that would be what is needed. But alas. What is lacking in her to not see what her husband sees. She best be careful or she will lose him, too? The fact she was more about the mess than running out to get her man spoke some volumes. MIA. YES SHE DID! LOL!!! Mia tossing that salad was hilarious. I also liked that she tried to be an adult and walk away. Then she stood her ground. Finally, she was ready to leave rather than put herself in a situation where she pulled a Monique on Candiace. #respect On the other hand, yeah, G is getting kinda weird. But again, they work hard and play hard, too. It could be an interesting dynamic in the group if the husbands continue to show up. Like Part 2 of this trip. And looking forward to Part 3 of it. Same. And that became clear for me when I landed back here in San Diego and just saw (whether they are vaccinated or not) people walking around in cool weather la-de-da without any hint of social distancing. Such a culture shock funnily enough from being in Manhattan the last few days. Whether they like it or don't like, NYC had such a vibe of taking it seriously...or not...but being more respectful of others. Due to some unnecessary work drama on my trip, I might be taking you up on usajobs.gov. I saw that first thing this morning. I was WOW.

POTOMAC PART 1 of this trip...wow. I knew that Messy Mia vs Candiace has slowly, but surely been simmering, but building over the last few episodes, but to see it explode was a thing of beauty. It built so well over a fun episode. And make no mistake, this episode was so much fun with the wives off with their husbands, everyone getting along, and shots...lots and lots of shots. hehe. And see how much fun it was...and STILL had drama without the presence of the GEB. JS... LA DAME. Lord...I love Cottage Krew. La Dame, Wendy, Askale are the moment. Meanwhile, I stay loving how close La Dame and Ashley continue to be fascinating to watch. WENDY. Go and get your fun, Girl!!!! She was bringing the fun and I was not liking it. I also like her bonding with Mia. And it felt sincere so that was cool And GVO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!! Lord...those shots. MIA. G is something else. But she did a good job of explaining him. And together THEY BE WILD!!! And while G is something else...their vibe was contagious. Yeah I was Team Mia on the salad toss. She tried to explain herself to Candiace, but Candiace was still taking jabs ( (c)Dorit) at her so she gave some back. And then Candiace wanted to have an issue and threw lettuce first? What did you expect to happen? CANDIACE. Now, Girl, the fact that even after finding out about Mia's mother, you STILL went there. Yeeeeah...NO. And sadly...this takes us back to Candiace and her accountabilty a la last season and Season 3 with Ashley and Monique. Especially Monqiue...who last season was the one who had a finger in her face. I don't know. I didn't agree when a lot of people said it here, but having BB back as Jake clears him from the ick factor that Stefan would have (though he and Gabi were hot) due to the 'romance' with Abby's alter. I've since changed my mind though I do miss Stefan and Gabi.

I thought the fact she showed up (along with Danielle) in that documentary telling. That said...I'M BACK HOOOOOOOOOOOMEE AND REFRESHED...SO AS PROMISE...I got my wine, my tv system is working, let's binge these POTOMAC episodes out!!! One of my favorite moments from Season 6...

Honestly, I don't know how to explain it. They are definitely more respectful of others even if they don't agree with wearing masks in a way that I find California is lacking it. Silent respect if you will. And even if they don't like it, they are not flancting their masklessness. They even enforce it on public transit. But for the most part I found it to be (depending on where I was at) evenly split between people who wore their masks and people who did not. The only time anyone questioned me wearing one was tonight when I was at the Stonewall Inn to honor my father and I danced her off the floor so that was a moot point. But seriously, I mentioned while I am vaccinated who is to know if I have a thread that I am carrying. Better safe than sorry I told her. She just shrugged. I guess while defiant on one hand, I found that New Yorkers were respectful on the other hand in a way that I just don't feel Cali has been as of late.
