  1. THANK YOU. I couldn't find the right words to describe what I meant earlier. Abrupt was the best I could thin of watching them. But YES...that's how I've been feeling playing catch up for the last two weeks. Because the soapy elements are there. And there are pieces that I've been liking (Mike aftereffect, Brooklyn vs Austin, the hint of Michael Quartermaine, the stalker fallout, the mystery man who I am thinking is Curtis's Dad?) and the builds in parts have been soapy. But it's like...the writers are painting by number or just not feeling what they are writing right now because when they are feeling it, there's a flow, momentum, motivation that weaves in and out that it really has not been. And in some cases (for me, I'm looking at specifically how MB has been playing Sonny currently in my viewing), it's been up to the actors selling what is on paper. Some (imho MB is with Sonny, I would say MW as Ava since the stalker reveal and loving how she is being weaved into the Sonny/Nina storyline as well) are selling it. And others are not. Like I like the new development with this growing rift with Michael and Willow now that Michael Quartermaine is in the motherfrakking house...but I guess the actor/actress have mostly (for now) not sold me on it. For me, it's still the possibility of what he DID. The writing on the page. But it has no subtlety and worse...very little energy to it. Yet.
  2. Well...I'm glad the Monthly Post Running Joke is still going... DISCUSS!!!!
  3. I know...and STILL back at Season 4.
  4. My apologies. I meant to get to this sooner. And yes...Oct 2023 for Part 2. I remember the 1984 version and have the first book and watched the SciFi Channel series and have waaaay too many friends who are uberfans, but I've been wanting to see people's opinions who have not read the book or series because I know Villanueve (who is an uberfan himself) went out of his way to take such a complex series and make it accessible to people who never read the books. Happy to see that he succeeded. And yes!!! Same. I felt the whole movie moved like a wave. How about Lady Jessica is...all of the above? I thought Rebecca played it well. My uberbook friend felt differently. Because Lady Jessica can be a BadA*(, but reserved and she felt Lady Jessica was not reserved enough. I don't know if you watched FARSCAPE but kinda like the character of Zhaan. OOOooooo and the worldbuilding. I cannot begin to tell you how since I've seen it, my mind has been so inspired to create. And I'm doing something for NaNoWriMo this year so inspirationg springs. HAHAHAHAHAHHAHHAHHHAHA
  5. 10-26 Well, at least it wasn't Austin. RME. That said...as soon as Gladys mentioned she was doing recordings, I knew where things were going with Brooklyn and Maxie. Ugh. I would have rather see her as a mob moll by Novak. But alas. I got to give the writers some credit though. Interesting to see this rift going on between Michael and Willow. I like seeing Michael Quartermaine out of his shell and making trouble for Nina. Perhaps it will amount to something. MB is still doing good. I really don't see Sonny in any of these scenes since Nina was arrested or even when he bought Julian's bar. I just see Mike in a really nice suit. And I like that the writers appear to be going into the pyschological effects of Sonny being a whole other person. Even better cuz Carly is getting a hint of this...and is not trusting her gut. She is going to lose it when she finds out about them in Nixon Falls. Regardless of real life events, I am at least loving Britt/Jason still. Though I feel like the Greece trip has officially stalled after the abrupt rush to get to it that still worked in terms of momentum. Are the writers really planning on something with Liz and Jeff Webber? Hmmm...?
  6. Well, technically, they were acting together before they found that out. And didn't they only find out because so many fans pointed it out. I would think it counts and it was the first guys who came to mind when I saw this thread. Excellent casting that led to them diving into their family tree.
  7. Wow. It's been blowing up. Now that other shoe has to drop.
  8. THIS. All that trashing of Monique when we had the knife throw and now with the salad toss, Candiace proves her (and Ashley who also pointed this out at one point if I am remember correctly) right.
  9. Yeah, @DramatistDreamer, my mom loved her some Quantum Leap. Love him in BSG as well
  10. SLC WOW. So much went down last night!!! Because that Italian dinner party was a whole entire mess with all of everyone's allegiances on full display!!! That's what I call a fine mess!!! And THEN...at long last...JEN'S ARREST!!! And they showed EVERYTHING we missed in the teaser at the beginning of Episode 1. And there was also the unmasking of Whitney. We have always said here that Whitney was smarter than she looked. And she has been extremely crafty this season in her feud with Fabulous Ice. But this argument with Mary...yeah, no, Boo. Strike Two. Or more exact...feels like she's falling into the second season curse. Cuz she is not that dumb to not pick up the phone. And then to be spilling about the texts and bringing up the church stuff...wrong or not...some friend. And then she is still throwing jabs at Lisa. So good she took off the gloves though I am Team Mary. And the arrest? WOW. Sorry, but it felt like Production definitely knew from their body language and actions. And that scene of the girls in the van chatting while FBI and Police slowly snuck up on the van was creepy as heck. And so THAT was the truck Jen rode off in. I loved how they showed EVERYTHING. JEN. Well, Jen always wants to be the center of the action. And...HERE SHE IS!!!! Friends fight at a dinner over her friendship. Jen is offended she did not get an invite. And Ooooo...her main Shah Squad member was there and she was thanking him for always having her back. And then...THE ARREST!!! AND ON THE RUN!!! lol. HEATHER. 'So you didn't invite Jen, but you invited Whitney?' Oh, Heather... Her tag-teaming with Whitney on Lisa was sly. But she kept back a bit with Mary. And I loved her humor at the party overall. I swear her and Lisa continuing to fight over Jen's friendship right down to the last minute has been funny. And her letting Whitney in on the joke that Mary was pulling on Whitney was hilarious. And good on her for getting out of the van to see what is going on as the drama went down. WHITNEY. Dare I say this? She's doing too much. So I was all for Mary gathering her all the way together. LISA. Lord, Fabulous Ice...you just cannot win, can you? lol. Trying to make up with Whitney, fighting with Heather, dealing with Jen, and then still have friction over Mary. MARY. GATHER THEM HEFFAS, QUEEN!!! I do wonder what she will do when this cult storyline hits the fan though. And I loved everything about the Italian dinner party. Say what you want about Mary, but she does up her parties well. And love that she was unpredictable enough that she did not go expansive like she did at her last party. lol. So funny and shady. MEREDITH. Oh, Meredith...don't fall for Whitney's trap. Good that she was able to smooth it over with her and Mary. Mary could use an ally. Great episode from start to finish. It started so slow and then sped up and then it was off and running.
  11. And don't forget Adriana also did the theme song. How well timed. I've been thinking of binging Season 2 again which is one of my favorite HW seasons ever. Keep the thoughts coming.
  12. SLC I'M CAUGHT UP YA'LL!!! LOL!!! But I was right!!!! The last episode the tide shifted. And this episode before tonight's (which I'm watching now) is just full of intrigues and shifting alliances. I don't know where to start. You have Bad Weather (hehe) trying to drive that wedge farther between Mary and Fabulous Ice. You have Fabulous and Heather trying to both hurt the other's friendship with Jen. And then you have Fabulous Ice (and Meredith...?) setting up Mary for a big fall. Ooooo....speaking of which...this episode I think can be summed up like this: I had no idea...NONE...that they would rope in the drama Jen had with the leak audio with the designer this season at all. WOW. And I think we all know the stories about Mary and her church and they are really going there. Sorry that the guy who brought it up is dead now, but still....SLC getting one up on BH in mentioning all the hidden dirt. In fact, because of that this episode felt like Season 1 again. JEN. Just when you thought she had calm down...lol. But seriously, I loved seeing Jen interacting with Lisa's kids. And the wolf hats. And the flashback of her with Fabulous Ice joking around...awwww. Just in time for her to have one of her 'explosions.' I still like that the audio leak made it onto the show. It is even more interesting how much Heather and Lisa want her friendship to the point they are sabotaging the other. Still....intrigues... HEATHER. Just when I thought she was either not doing much or have gone back to being a normal Heather, here she comes pot stirring. Whether it was with Whitney when they were working to turn Mary against Lisa or doing it on her own with Jen to turn her against Lisa, Heather was a busy girl. LISA. Fabulous Ice...GUUUUUUUUUUUUUURL!!! Funnily enough, here I am writing about people cutting off Fabulous Ice's allies...only to see LIsa do it herself. What does she think will happen when Mary finds out about Cameron being at that event talking about her church? Especially since Meredith and Mary were getting along good and Mary had not totally turned against her? Just...smh. On the good side, not boring and I loved seeing her with her kids, reminding us that she is human...if you know...ice...and hahahaha at her dropping Angie only to replace with another Angie. WHITNEY. Hmmmm. Just when I thought we would not hear about her father outside of that cut scene from S2E1, here she is with her brother. And feeling a kinda way about the fact that her father is talking to everyone BUT her. Given how Whitney has been stirring the pot this season, for the first time I have to wonder if there is more going on than is being told. After all, Whitney is proving that she's crafty in how she has been going about this feud with Fabulous Ice. So side-eye. MARY. Off in her own little world and God bless her for it. But it's about to get interesting with this story about secrets of the church. MEREDITH. Interesting to see that her and Fabulous Ice are mending. But with Fabulous Ice getting into so many feuds, where will Meredith be? WIth her BFF or out of the fray? JEANNIE. Not around. Now onto tonight...
  13. POTOMAC AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! Now THIS is what should have happened at last year's reunion. HERE...FOR...IT. SLC Well...if there is one thing Mary is going to do...it's going to be gather a heffa...
  14. SLC Episode 7... And just like that...the momentum continued. Sometimes all you need when a show feels like a 'it's just there' show is a group scene. Add in some FOHs and it can be fun. And that was what this episode was bringing. I was happy to see it. I've been enjoying some individual scenes better than others. However, the show had moved on from the aftermath of last season reunion...but had not gotten to the meat of the season (Jen's arrest) yet. So...it's starting...lol. As a FOH, Angie is not boring for sure. Not my favorite FOH, but it's been interesting how much drama she is part of due to her connection to Whitney and Fabulous Ice. And the main storyline the first half of this season has been Whitney vs Lisa. And this episode we met Connie...another friend of Whitney's. Hmmm...Whitney sure does have a lot of friends. And Fabulous Ice has...??? I would say Jen has her back, but it was sad that she did not see Jen defending her. And yeah, Meredith was quiet. Uh oh. Oh, and a little tea...SLC has already started casting for Season 3...so... Things to make you go hmmmm JEN. Wow. It's been a minute. But look!!! FUN JEN!!! And she really was fun this week. Sometimes you can't beat the Jen/Heather combo and their chest knock was hilarious. As was the race. She was truly the MVP here and being the life of the party. And yes, I bet she was happy others were having drama. lol. HEATHER. This was more of the Heather I am used to seeing. And lol at that flashback since I remember that from last season. Wow...a year later, they had babies. Love her commentary during the first round of Mary vs Fabulous Ice. LISA. GIrl, jealousy is not a good look on you. Interesting that last season it was Heather that was the insecure one and now it's her when it comes to Jen's friendship. And this episode she was getting it on all sides. Mary gathering her. Whitney trying to ambush her and stage a gang-up. I do feel that the fact that she felt she was not backed up (though she was) really set her off. She definitely needs better game because in this feud with Whitney, Whitney is playing her like a fiddle. WHITNEY. Messy, messy, messy. I think we have all see there's more to her than a pretty face with a ditzy personality. And that is what's been on display so far this season. Not sure if it's Season 2 curse-ish...yet...but like I said about Heather in my last post, I am not sure it's very Season 1 Whitney either. But...can't say she's not relevant or has done a bad job of staying relevant either. She does love twisting that knife though. MEREDITH. Hmmmmm Seth. lol. Other than that, just kinda there this episode. MARY. GO ON, MARY!!!! YOU READ FABULOUS ICE!!! LOL!!! I was like Heather...I wasn't expecting that at all. Every moment of shade she threw was awesome. And her side-eying at that table at Jeannie's 'apology' was EVERYTHING. JEANNIE. I think someone asked this before...yeah, I believe Jeannie like Mary last season started out as a FOH and when Jen got arresteed, she was bumped up. That said...that restaurant scene with Huy was brutal. Wow. I...no words. And I liked she had Fabulous Ice's back even if she was going off on Mary over frustration with her man. Still...she could have apologize to Mary. Directly. Not a good look. Good episode overall. Now it's cooking...
  15. POTOMAC HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! Even their filler is on point. Gizelle's fashion...the gift that truly keeps giving...
  16. HA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  17. LOL!!! I know. Hopefully if there is a missing piece of the puzzle it does not = an outbreak.
  18. SLC Yeah I wanted to take a (brief) break from POTOMAC. And for me that meant playing a little bit of catch up on SLC. And for me that meant Episode 6... It was kinda there. Yes, we got a lot of going HW character moments. We still have the Whitney vs Fabulous Ice feud going on. And we had the real moments. Because that last scene when Jeannie's husband dropped that proposal on her. Wow. And I loved her reaction (heeeeellll no indeed). JEN. Smh. I soooo hate myself for falling for it. She really successfully redone her image. Jen 2.0. Still has her 'that's totally Jen' moments, but no longer as OTT as she was last season. Dare I say it...relateable? Probably not. But it was nice to see her in this episode with Coach Shah and yet another son...who clearly does not want to be in front of the camera. HEATHER. Again. I honestly can't think of what she did. That's not good!! I know she was involved with something, but it is just a blur. And she was fan fave last season. LISA. Fabulous Ice should have just owned it. If she was behind the Catering Mishap that is. It does seem like it is a case of not wanting to be seem as wrong. It is making her look worse. And when she exploded at Whitney...well...she lost. Shame because their attempt to call a truce was cute to watch. What could have been... WHITNEY. Hehe. And if Fabulous Ice has a problem being wrong, Whitney has a problem letting things go. But then again, what else does she have going on other than this feud? Where's my Real Whitney from last season? Le sigh. MEREDITH. I will never not find it weird to see her more with Mary of all people than Fabulous Ice. MARY. And yet another layer is peeled off. I liked her talk with Meredith where she revealed that she does not want her son to move out because that means she has to deal with empty nest with her husband who...she still is not sure she wants to get to know again. And yes, I hollered that the whole point of the meet was an excuse for Mary to show off her outfit. JEANNIE. Continues to be a great addition. And her talk with her husband. Just...wow. It reminded me of why I broke up with my Russian ex who in the middle of a traumatic incident though it was a good idea to go fly off and be stupid. That whole scene was raw, and I was drawn in. Poor Jeannie, I was with her and I cannot see why he does not get it. On the other hand, he explained himself in Confessional...and I could see that. There does not seem to be a complete bad guy, but this is not a good thing. I hope they can find a way.
  19. I completely understand. And feel the same way in terms of vaccination. I mean if it's really him, I will admit to being surprised. I would he would know better after his own covid incident. I mean...it did still happen, right? I think it's part of the reason the last leg of this Carly/Jason/mob and Nixon Falls arc became so disjointed (and also hinted at Jax maybe biting it in a mob hit). And like mentioned earlier, I had assumed he was vax (cuz not everyone based in Nashville is an anti-v) so if true, I cannot say that it is not going to color my personal opinion of him, especially since it does shoot down a lot of the current stories that I'm actually liking (just finished 10-22 earlier today). I am also going to SMH at the irresponisbilities because one has to think of ALL the actors and characters he's been around. Leslie C immediately comes to mind and that makes me just a little bit irked. Sorry. Light tangent.
  20. She really did look like Kate's daughter.
  21. But that was only IF it got buried. To be fair...which was the point. I said time would tell. And then it was going to turn into a back and forth that I kindly decided to be the better man and let go. Personally, I don't mind the speculation and waiting for the tea and news to truly drop so we can truly dish. #preach I agree as well. And just seem very obvious a while ago on screen that even his co-workers were now reacting a specific way to him onscreen than they were before. And it seem obvious Ingo was also being more...hmmm I would say too close to comfort...in a way with his coworkers on-screen that I had not accosciated with Jax before now. His views had now tainted the character he played.
  22. Yeah, I could it being Toya, too. But can't wait to see it. And dare I hope ballgowns are involved again...?
