RHoDubai Well-deserved catch up. And I do believe they are jelling. I know that I've mentioned how Caroline Stanbury was in over her head on this show versus being the HBIC on LADIES OF LONDON. That the usual tricks she was used to using on there was not going to work here. So what else can she do, but step it up? She definitely is not the fan fave here (that's Ayan) and not the most fascinating (that would be Sara, Lesa, etc). However, Caroline Stanbury has never been STUPID. So it's been interesting in my catchup that she has been stepping it up. That said...I LOVE Lesa gathering her a$% at the windy brunch. Episode 5 had the appearance of Shady Phae Phae. It was decent. They gave her a whole entrance and everything. But given she was in that and ALL STARS 2, it does seem like she has a comeback in order...unless that recent interview she did where she doubles down (from what I heard) on the events of RHOA S9 sabotages that. Haven't seen ALL STARS 2 outside of clips, but I didn't mind her here. And look at Caroline trying to suck up to her. Episode 6 gave us...the gays. And I feel...??? I know from social media and just here, that was a concern about having a HW show in Dubai. And it was perplexing for me to see them. Why? When it comes to politics and history...I always go back to my 7th grade Civics class. The truth of the matter...for me...is that I felt like this...the people in charge of a state (or country's)'s media are very good at editing it to see and show what they want the outside world to see. There's a reason why we have the quote about how the winners are the ones who write history. I felt like Caroline and Brooks having gay friends there (and we have seen glances of gay men before now) was really for show. Because if it IS true about how Dubai treats gay people, then should they not be worried about being in whole scenes and their faces shown? Are they in danger? What kinda of deal was worked out to show them? I have questions. lol. But it felt like Production wanted to have their cake and eat it, too. On the other hand, I did not mind seeing new recurring characters. And hopefully, this might make some people feel better about the concerns. Time will tell. CAROLINE. You better run, bitca!!! HAHAHAHA!!! I think I am the only person who still likes her on this board, but that does not mean that I did not enjoy each and every minute of Lesa gathering her and letting Caroline know what time it was. Caroline did start that. And yes, those microaggressions she kept throwing at Lesa (which Lesa rightly corrected) was not good...you are well spoken so choose your words better...but in the end at least the words 'I'm sorry' came out of her mouth...even if it was stuffed with a french fry. I also did not like in Episode 5 how she cut her man off at the knees. But I don't like her bringing him around to EVERY event, either. But I thought it was very telling how she flinched when Brooks was talking about boarding school...the first sign of a heart under that icy exterior we have gotten from her. Moreso since she was just talking about how boarding school made her into the person we see here and on LoL. She also did the right thing by not voicing her opinion outright since it was not her place. It felt like to me that she is seeing that she is misstepping on this show and she has to come better. And so far, so good. AYAN. If she's going to give anything...she is going to give LOOKS. To think she started the season as THAT bitca. She STILL is, but I feel the softening they have been doing on her...through her friendships with Lesa and Sara AND her love/hate relationship with Brooks...has been successful. And she can just be...herself. And I LOVE what she wore to see Sara at Sara speech thingy. THE MILAN. Just MMMMMMMMMMM. That's how you do icy. She gathered Caroline efficiently, did not yell, and did it all looking fabulous. And no matter how Caroline tried to throw up excuses, Lesa let her know with every word, every stare, every bit of her body language...there was none. In the end, all Caroline could do was apologize. It was flawless. NINA. Someone said that she favors RHOD's D'Andra and now I cannot unsee it!!! They even have similar Confessional humor. Sad about her father though. When my mother had Co-Vid and I could not just up and travel, I know that is not a good feeling to have so I felt that. BROOKS. Look at her with the gay friends!!! She started off so great. Her shade. Her relationship with Shady Phae Phae. Her bonding with Ayan and Sara. But she went a little cray cray on her gay friend and Sara. On one hand, I can understand since she is a black mama. However SHE asked for Sara's opinion. I do feel something was lost in the translation, but WOW she got a little TOO triggered. SARA. I stay loving seeing her at work. And her friendship with Ayan will always be funny to me. For now...I would say Team Sara. Brooks asked her a question. So she gave her opinion on it. Unlike with her stirring the pot between Ayan/Lesa vs Caroline, I do not feel she was trying to cause drama here. Still going good for me.

I agree. When I was watching I remember how RC kept trying to make Sarah happen with Rex, happen with Eric, but the chemistry she had was WITH XANDER. And the audience ate up that good girl/bad boy dynamic a la Lexie Grey/McSteamy where the good girl has an edge but does not want the bad boy and the bad boy...actually likes and falls in love with the good girl. But...they tossed Sarah in a trunk...and the story died...it sounds like. Sad since they definitely had supercouple potential. And....what is this I hear about Mr. Tinker and his arms today???

7-15 Okay, that was just underwhelming. I felt like the Imani/Nate storyline just up and vanished for a week. And then we FINALLY got to the trap. And it just fell flat. I definitely don't feel it was the actors because LAR popped every time I saw her. And Dom was...Nate. But I guess I expected more. Though I do like in way that Nate might be getting drawn to Imani due to what is going on with Naya. Not what I expected in that regard so there is still potential. And then add on Lily. And what if she gets so distracted stumbling onto Imani's schemes that she does not notice Billy and Chelesa getting closer...which btw was lame this week. Speaking of lame, this turn in Ashland's storyline? Le sigh. I was hoping that once he found out that he was tricked by Victoria that he would be vengeful, allowing RN to do his thing. There were a few times this week, he hints at the possible menace, and I feel he can do it. But then? He was more or less a whipping boy all week. From Victoria to Victor to Nick to even Adam. And Michael using Harrison...yeah I feel some way about that. But...I guess that is a good thing because I find myself rooting for him. This is the first time I really wanted to shake Adam. He should have thought of something better to do than act like he broke up with Sally. Couldn't they just fake a breakup instead? Perhaps it was to paint Adam as a sympathetic character. Niiice, but not like this. Moreso because Victor was at least working behind the scenes with Sally to have Adam's back. Loving nuSummer. And LOVE Kyle telling Phyllis off. Has he ever done so? It was different. And I loved that he threw the fact he knew what broke up Phack this time in her face. I was impressed even if he took it back after the commercial break. I continue to like Diane. And I loved how SW played her scenes with her, Harrison, and Ashland. You could see the conflict on her face. She knows EXACTLY what he is going through, and I continue to want to see them together. And I will always LIVE for Nikki vs Diane. And I loved Diane was the one #unbothered. I am probably in the minority but I like Noah/Allie. I also continue to like Allie's continued attempts to fit into Genoa City. I do wish (yes I saw the pictures above so I know it's coming) we could have seen her at Jabot. I do wonder what drama they are trying to set up with Noah because he did not like Nick wanting to put him in charge of New Hope. The writers' attempt to touch on what's going on in the way with people wanting to find their path and quitting jobs (not that everyone is doing it because Queen Bey told them so but I digress...). I hope we are not about to tread water again.

Exactly! I agree as well. So I was happy to hear Brooklyn mention that she had talked to Lois. I would think at some point given her character that Lois would up and show up to protect her daughter...or perhaps sensing that Brooklyn is not being completely upfront about Links, she would show up and find some scheme to get him to give up BrookLyn's songs. And to whomever said Lexie...yes, I would love to see her, too. Though I would love to see her as Lexie DIMERA if you catch my drift. Thank you! Didn't Daisy just up and vanish again?

Exactly! It is shocking right now how easy it would be for her to show up. It literally writes itself. And I'm also all for Lucy getting more story. I know! re: Lois. Didn't BrookLynn say some time this year that she still calls her mom often for advice. I know the actor has done well outside of daytime (loved him in his tragically one off appearance on THE ORIGINALS), but he could be folded back in as easy as Brenda.

Carly losing the Metro Court. We know she would have an opinion on Sonny/Nina (and we could get a Carly scene again spelling out to Nina what Brenda represent). Brenda with the Qs...and while she would stand on the ELQ stuff. And then she has connections still to EVERYONE. But now that you mentioned it... LUCKY. OMG! Yeah it has been a loooong time since we have seen Lucky, hasn't it? Didn't JJ come back for Luke's Swan Song arc...and I want to say that was July 2014/2015 so it would hit on 7 years on the nose this year? If that was 2015? I can only imagine how he would be taking to this Liz stuff and how it is affecting Aidan. Not to mention all the Cassandine stuff. LOIS. Now would the perfect time for her to come back...not only as Brooklyn's mom, but as a forthcoming spoiler for Ned/Olivia when they eventually need a new conflict. MAYA. Same. The potential is still there. And something to turn ELQ on its ear. Again. Same. It has been looooong overdue. And I bet he would have chemistry with Cady. Brandon. Also overdue and I wouldn't be surprised given the EJ/Lucas wedding fallout if when she comes back she's attached to him a la when Brenda came back for the 50th anniversary with Jax in toll. And yeah it would be nice to see Nicole with family again.

Well since it's been 7 years.... GH Brenda Barrett (I said it) Sarah Webber AJ (I can totally believe Monica faked his death again) Y&R Dru (totally...not question) Daisy (only because Phyllis would probably really lose it) Carmine (simply cuz yes, he's hot, but if it is possible to redeem could play into cracks in the Michael/Lauren relationship since Jack as a spoiler is...occupied) Daniel (aren't we overdue a visit?) Cole (if Victoria isn't taking Ashland back, why not bring back Cole?) Olivia (I can go on and on about having her back to feel a way about Nate changing careers and I can see her having opinions over Devon vs Nate.)

Which is why I find it meet cute. That said NO ONE is going to be OG Billy and Mac storyline. Especially if there is not the sparring partner-ness the original had. But I didn't need Reed/Mattie to be sparring. They had enough 'opposites attract' for me to like them just fine.

While I agree that Allie needs an edge, I like her with Noah. It is meet cute for now and reminds me of Maddie and Reed who I actually liked. I think I'm one of the few.

As far as imagery...there's been a lot that I've liked seeing. For sure.
