Well I knew my birthday week was going to be dramatic...and it has not disappointed. Sadly. But...I only wanted 3 things...to finish writing my latest novel, to dance, and to be with who I wanted to be with (with shots) on my actual birthday. I got those three. So no matter how the rest of this weekend goes (cuz I'm sadly not making it to Garbage or Janet Jackson this weekend...BUT going out dancing again hehe)...at least I can say I got my 3 things. PS. Told said person they were one of those bday things. Hopefully a semi-happy ending is in the wings given this year is the anniversary of a lost love...and reminders actually are everywhere this year.

I liked KA's scheming version of Billie on DAYS so how she's playing it has shades of that which I don't mind. Though I was hoping they were finally about to go there with Deacon/Taylor rather than her playing matchmaker between Deacon and Brooke. That said...I've been keeping up and while I've over everyone attacking Hope that ISN'T Liam, the actors and actresses have been good in those scenes. I like when Liam and Hope fight cuz they be kinda vicious funnily enough. Oh, look RJ shirtless. Other than that...that's all I got. How cute!!! The same as the birthday of one of my great loves...might being 4 days after. hehe.

Yeah, I remember it being a gradual buzz with people because it was truly a word of mouth (and in the cases of us too young...sneak a peek when the parents weren't around). Under the radar Season 1. A little bit of notice in Season 2. And by Season 3 it was hitting its stride. I liked its gritty look as well.

5-26 Oh, lord...SHUT UP, PHYLLIS!!! I'm kinda sad that I'm spoiled on this Sharon storyline because the build (and SC acting) has been surprisingly well done. The wine bottle. Nick mentioning the blood stain. And now this postcard...? That's the intriguing I look for. I'm currently loving Ashley/Tucker. And ED knows she's playing the bitca, confused feelings, and warmth to the hilt. She is just so excellent to watch. And TSJ continues to rotate between matching her beat by beat to being just 'Todd'ish. But I giggled at Jack not liking him living in the Abbot house more than I should. I stay saying Devon vs Nate was about ego and less about Elena and thank you Nate for proving it. I just can't with Billy/Chelsea and don't something I haven't did in ages...used that FF button. AL is officially the bright spot in this whole Dead Giggly Heffa story. And the fact that Kyle still does not know that Summer knew is a ticking time clock that I can't wait to see explode because I know AL is goinng to be awesome in those scenes. And I'm here for Chance/Summer/Kyle IF it goes there.

Le sigh. I had hoped that moving down here to San Diego, but still finding work (not to mention SOM) was a sign of a turn in the road for him. Positive energy sent his way. *HUGS* I just had to take care of an associate this holiday weekend (and got a nasty fall apparently) who was not at all wanting to live. Everyone else joked it off, but that's a trigger button for me and I was not having it so we sat with him, talked with him, and walked him home from the bar. So I feel that.

Another reason to catch up. And the last of Noella of course.

That said...I'm just now starting the beginning of Sharon's tale in my binging and I immediately...like any time RH's Liz on GH gets a tale all her own...took notice. And since teasers have been all about something coming back from Sharon's past...THIS was the first name that came to mind. So happy to be right, but wasn't he killed or just shipped off to jail? That background music was EVERYTHING. THAT how you do a sinister entrance of someone old.

Coming off a weird, but good week...and an unexpected good night...I saw the news about Tina Turner and was just shocked and teary-eyed, another part of my childhood gone. A new friend of mine has been trying to start a drag show revue in our downtown area so I went to the first one in its new venue Friday night. And one of the drag queens...wig, sparkles, legs, and all...did Tina proud with her version of PROUD MARY. And I was fascinated with how she never broke performance even as she collected tips. I loved Tina. And she was such a survivor. With that voice and the fact that she persisted so well and so beautiful...and those legs. For me, when I think of her...as a kid...I always go back to this song. Signs of my dystopian/scifi/fantasy self showing so early...but I couldn't take my eyes off her and wondered who she was. Perhaps it spoke to my wanderlust and seeing if there was life on the horizon for me. RIP you angel.

YW. My friend has not warmed to it (yet), but it's been an earworm in my head (along with all the new Goldfrapp music like SO HARD SO HOT) since it dropped. I need to get around to seeing he live performance of it on AMERICAN IDOL.
