Perhaps it was to the strength of Maury West as an actress that I bought all of that, but I liked that Ava was in an interesting position, and it was just luck that she winded up at Sonny as they were slowly tying her into the Sonny's Meds storyline. With Sonny isolating himself due to his paranoia and Ava having no one, I could believe that those two would be closer. And the story looked like it was getting a part duex until Natalia showed up...which in hindsight looks like a pushed agenda. That said...Ava getting jealous over it only to find out about the pills was highly believable to me. But I believed in the theory that Ava would have had a fall because so many people were gunning for her, but it was in the terms of the old school villain tale of a villain being caught, made to pay, and then having some redemption...but still allowed to have an edge. And I know the idea was mentioned by someone else that Ava knowing about the meds might have been her 'get out of jail free card' toward the aforementioned start to her redemption. But...woulda, shoulda, coulda. Completely lost.

11-15 Poor Billy. Don't care. AHA!!!! So Diane and Jack staged EVERYTHING!!! All to save Kyle. I like it when a story seems off, but you figure out what's going on. And it made for a great cliffhanger. And Sharon confessed!!! FINALLY!!! Of course, she would do it to Nick. No one makes befuddled look so sexy like Josh Morrow, but I still can't believe Sharon told him everything. It was great to see that yes, the original plan was that she was going to kill Daniel...something else I called. It kinda lessen the blow a bit knowing she's probably being manipulated by Ward/Jordan. I would have found it more believable if it was an alive Cameron since JG was toying with it clearly or even Daisy...back to get close to her daughter. I do look forward to seeing how this will turn out. I haven't mentioned her a lot this past week, but lol at Audra for our old school Y&R comic relief. Her dissing weddings in Genoa City a la Susan about Salem weddings on DAYS was funny. Just look at Abby's. And now this episode with the bouquet. lol. I do hope that is a sign that she is truly here to stay and there is a story assigned for her. Overall, that was a great week for Y&R with all these stories finally exploding after some built. The wedding itself. The spiral of Sharon. Diane's deception. They all had great turns in their stories. And with Ed Scott back, I'm ready to see the climax. Like I just said over in the GH threads, it's to the strength of the actress that I could believe in the character and what they were trying to do. JW sold that. I cared about her pain more than I cared about her son. He...had it coming.

11-14 Now THAT was a wedding. Another time to enjoy the couple with lovely words, great camera angles among the guests...it actually looked like it was bigger than what it was. And then some drama among the guests (Diane vs everybody, Billy vs Jill, keeping everyone oblivious) and outside of the wedding (the crash). And of course...a cliffhanger to get people to tune in. Another winner of an episode. Let me get this out of the way right now...I don't like the weakening of Jill, either. It worries me that it will be the last time we see Jess, and I'm not here for that at all. That said...Jess sold ALL of it. I actually got choked up with her vs Billy. Not for him of course. But for HER. A mother having to break her child's heart. Because no matter what she hoped for, Billy was going to be Billy. And his recent actions did not help. And long term, it does not seem like he would change, and the family's future had to be taken into account. That was so well done and sold by JW. And I liked her moment with Lily as well. And Victor getting his shot in at Billy. *chef's kiss* But...that was the thing I liked about the wedding. Victor's invisible pulling of the strings. From what was going on with Chancellor to his manipulation of Diane on to his good side as keeping everyone in the dark about the car crash. Nicely done. And just him and Nikki in team couple mode. And you can't have ED back in town without Ashley calling Diane a bitca. lol. Of course, but I loved all the Diane moments this episode. Her vs Jack. Kyle butting in irked me, but her having to fire him...hehe. I liked they held his reaction, too. And you all were right about that car crash. It looked so well done and executed. And the camera angles. Y&R really stepped up. And poor Sharon losing it. Was it wrong that I was hoping they did not get to Phyllis in time though? smh. And so...they are back. Le sigh. I hope Victor has a dungeon in the new house, too. hehe. But a solid cliffhanger.

But there was so much momentum from that...starting from Kristina falling through Ava's window. Which actually also starting from Wagger's relationship with Ava. Built upon built upon built. And now...just the vapers. Howso? If anything, Ava had clear direction again...even if it was leading to her death or a redemption tale under a writer who would know how to do one and still keep Ava's edge.

Absolute gold. Those were a fun few weeks. And now...meh. But I haven't started this new week yet and there were some twitches of something last week. You remind me that I cannot wait to see how BTG vs GH go in the ratings if it turns out in some places they air at the same time. But I guess in some places it would be against B&B, right?

I so enjoyed Nina during that time so it's sad to see her as such an afterthought given so much is going on that does affect her. I meant to say it the other day when we were discussing Carly, but I noticed that, too. Carly really does not at all have anything going on. Which I found funny given isn't Korte the biggest Carly fan? Yet now that Lucky is home, she has nothing really going on other than the Slow-As-Molasses relationship with Brennan? How...unCarlylike. Yes, I've loved every minute of Liz being...if not front and center...then a more important player on the canvas. I can also say the same for Dante...who I also felt greatly benefited from PM giving his life more layers. Because I feel a lot of any feelings I have for Sam's death was greatly helped by PM deepening the Dante/Sam relationship as well as the feel of their blended family. I feel if this death still happened under PM, there would be a battle coming up on where the kids would go. There might still be one, given how Drew's been acting, but I do not feel it will be the same impact. Well, I definitely don't feel indifferent to Kristina. But I am no longer on her side, either. Credit where credit is due.

Very true. I might not have liked some changes as well, but at least I trusted that he knew what he was doing. Yeah, he performed a miracle by resurrecting a Maxie that people can connect to again. I agree as well. Drew could be a prick, but you at least saw the heat with Nina. And you could see them slowly respecting each other. Then you could see them slowly falling for each other. And they were sexy. There was even a basis for Drew/Willow. Now it just Drew just seems so creepy that it's ewww. Then PM came in and Nina got her claws back and Drew actually got more purpose as a prick. I could go on about his work on Ava for days. Alexis's journey was definitely a highlight for me. And...same re: Sonny worship.

11-11 Well, it's nice to get a Holly vs Anna catfight before Holly runs out of town again. lol. That said...NO to Jason/Anna. If they don't quit... And what the frak was that opening? Perhaps I'm now getting too used to the swooping camerawork on the past week of Y&R now that Ed Scott is back, but that car crash was abrupt. No built-up whatsoever. And honestly, I had forgotten about Natalia. And ugh at Kristina. So...propping. I did love the scenes between Mac/Robert and Sasha/Felicia though. Holly might have been the best things as of late to happen for Mac because it's giving him some story since he has lessen since the Cody reveal. And Felicia talking sense into Sasha was beautiful. Given all the talk about how the writers wrote Felicia out, hearing her express regret and not being able to be around when Georgie died was well-done. Ugh at Drew/Willow. Drew is coming across as a creeper now. And dare I say it...obsessed? Hehe at Michael seeing them.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I thought that was clear when Bravo dared to bring back Shady Phae Phae. I thought it was a good interview though. The plot thickens for me. Like I said above, when RHOA starts up again, they better SHOW IT ALL. And they know it! And worse...Kenya knows it, too.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
SLC Uh oh. Is that a slump in the action? I actually felt this episode was more interesting than last week's. But there was a bit of a dip. There's something about housewives trips that have the husbands on them. And outside of M2M...and NJ...we really don't see them. The last few episodes, the husbands have been carrying. And this episode was no different with Bob's Hubby putting his foot down about anyone mentioning his stepdaughter, John trying to do anything to be sure Lisa does not get kicked off the trip, and then Seth/Meredith vs Shawn. MMMMmmm Shawn with that Reverse Uno Card was something else. Not to be outdone, the main thing for the ladies was seeing how long Lisa could go without giving an apology. lol. I can't believe she (apparently) gave one to Bob. I only heard her giving one to Angie K (finally) and then that was in the middle of fighting. I really did not like her trying to avoid an apology by trying to stir up Little Girl/Justin. GIRL, EAT SOME CROW. I did not like fact she could not do this for one of her oldest friends and over HEATHER??? smh. Her last talk with Bob did her no favors. I was Team Bob on that. HEATHER. MEREDITH. Well, I cannot say she did not do anything. If it wasn't the real worries she was giving about Seth flying off early from the trip...is there more to it again?...there was her running feud with Angie K by way of Shawn. I liked how Shawn explained it all and it does sound like he was taken out of context. I'm shocked Meredith did not catch it. MARY. Mary continued to give the real. Her scenes with Robert and the girl was just something else. You could tell she wanted to say something, but she couldn't figure out how. I continue to look forward to seeing what is coming. Spoiler alert: the dinner is next week with her and Meredith though. LITTLE GIRL. Smh. I admit she has been slooooooooowwwwwwwwwwly winning me over. But she appeared to have regress a bit. I'm going to need the Little Girl in the first episode of this season back. Because Lisa deflecting at brunch by trying to get Little Girl lit up...I wanted her to be more witty with Lisa and flip it. Good to see Justin had her back though. ANGIE K. Gooood, Shawn is fine AF. I mean FOINE. I got Painted on Clothes Shawn. I got Shorts Shawn. I got Shirtless Volleyball Shawn. I got Shirtless in Swimming Trunks Shawn. I got Spread Eagle Shawn...and rewinded. lol. But it was nice to see her and him just be a married couple. They were a hoot and surprisingly in sync during the sex game. And like I said above...Reverse Uno Card. lol. It seems Angie K is paying Meredith dust now versus them feuding. Good she is going to try to turn the other cheek. LISA. The images of all the husbands coming for her at brunch is not an image that I will soon forever. lol. Poor John. As soon as Lisa would be done with one, here comes another husband to whack her on the head. lol. The fact she was the one who started it by deflecting on to Little Girl rather than just sit alone with Bob and give an apology was wild. And again...all of this...FOR HEATHER??? Bob is even richer than Heather so I don't get it. And Lisa said it all by not being able to verbalize her feelings when Bob is in her face...but talking mess in her Confessional. And her talking crap about flying coach when Bob was in earsight. She's no friend. BOB. No wonder she eventually fell out with Lisa. Lisa ain't your friend, Girl! Here she was being an adult and trying to talk it out. And all Lisa was doing was deflecting. If Lisa was as much of a boss as she thought she was, she should have just left. Just smh. And OOPS at Bob's Hubby shutting her up quick when Angie K put her foot in her mouth by asking about Bob's daughter. He was grumpy, but he gives signs of just showing up for his wife, not that he wants to be on the show. Understandable. Good episode. And next week (not showed, but clips are out)...it seems like Meredith vs Mary is next week. Looking forward to it. It should get the momentum going again.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Well, you know RHOA has been paying for Nene's sins of a lawsuit almost since she left. 😜 I really hope and pray they pull a BH Season 9 on this forthcoming RHOA and show EVERYTHING so we the audience can form a complete pictures before Kenya's maybe exit in the middle of the season.

ARTICLE: ‘Beyond the Gates’ Formally Announces Writing Team, ‘Robert Guza Jr. Named Co-Head Writer Alongside Creator Michele Val Jean
I like that as well. Say what you will...and we have...but Guza can write good sweeps events. I would like to think soaps used to have continuity workers, but wasn't that discontinued?

11-8 Jason to the rescue!!! lol. But we were overdue an explosion so cool. Meanwhile, NLG continue to give a masterclass on grief. I haven't found a false note at all in Alexis dealing with Sam's death at all. And these scenes with Olivia...the first time they have been seriously interacting since the Ned Slept with Alexis storyline? It just had such gravitas. I also liked the BLQ/Dante scenes. Awwww Dante. And I was right there with BLQ when she found out Sam and Dante was engaged. And then the plot point of where the lovely blended family that I've grown to love would live. I liked that Alexis and he are tabled it for now, and everyone will be staying at the Q mansion. LOVE there are so many people on the grounds again. Tracy and Cody scheming??? YES, PLEASE. Or Tracy scheming period. This show is long overdue a scheme team that isn't a bunch of psychos. Did I mention Jason to the rescue? lol. Overall, I would say it was a good if uneven week. It's like if the New/Old Writers had their way, the Robert/Holly/Sasha storyline would be A story. But it's the continued aftermath of Sam's death and how it ripples out that made it into B story. And the Michael/Willow/Drew mess was easily the C plot.

I was hoping when it was said in dialogue that Hurricane Jill was coming that you would tune in. And just in time for Ed Scott to come back and give old Y&R production, too.
