It's a sad watching these episodes. Since the quality will drop for the remainder of it's run. Even at this point Buzzard ate a lot of airtime. It's bittersweet seeing AM & Gilly's off the carts chemistry. Knowing GL would never go there. Instead AM ends up with Lucy. Poor Gilly unknowingly falls for her bio dad. Elizabeth Lawrence was amazing as Bess Lowell.

I discovered Degrassi Jr High. When i just turned 13 on PBS. It was always so real. Not fake like Save by the Bell. Which i only watched for Zack and Slater. The kids looked like real kids. There was diversity long before other shows did . All the kids were so well conceived. I had such a crush on Joey. They handled everything from teen pregnancy to suicide with such realism. For a teen show Degrassi always kept it real.

Oh Wow! Kathy is Mark's boyfriends grandmother. Now that's a twist.

Marland's worse was better than Hogan's best. DM didn't need any co-HW. Other retcons i remember were Dusty treating John like crap. Also Dusty had met Molly one summer at the Snyder Farm. When they were teens.

I remember when Martha Byrne came back. Suddenly singing Bonnie Raitt ''I Can't Make You Love Me"." All over Oakdale. As Holden would conveniently see Lilly singing it. Still it's a great song. And Martha's rendition was great.

I didn't know that. San Crud was SO MEH. Did they ever bother revealing what part of the world San Crud was? Was it a Latin American country ruled by European royalty. Was it a European country. A good writer would've bothered creating a history for their fake country. They should've made it AW's San Cristobal. Since both sister shows exist in the same world.

Out of nowhere San Cristobal overshadowed Springfield. I think it would've worked better. Having the Winslow brothers being corporate tycoons. All the royal/princely stuff got on my last nerve after awhile. OLTL had their fake country Mendora in the late 80's. But Mendora never eclipsed Llanview
