  1. Sort of a random question, but what ever happened to Erica's company, Enchantment?
  2. Man. Makes me sad that come 2004/2005 the vets would be purged in massive budget cuts. They had a strong foundation back then but did crap with it. Damn Weston and Conboy. Rauch and then Conboy probably DECIMATED the budget.
  3. Yup. Exactly. There's just so much natural history to play. Soaps refusal to tap into that is one of the biggest reasons they are failing. God. Most of these characters just write themselves.
  4. I think there's still tons of potential angst between Meg and Sumner. For sure. Lots of storyline potential there. Karen and Mack would only be able to serve as the 'go-tos'. I can't see how they'd drive story. I'd say kill off Mack. He's been dead for about a year. Karen's had Michael and his new family move in with her (maybe they lost their house? foreclosure?). Michael could definitely be a 'hero' of the show (like his father until they killed him off). Maybe he and Julie married? Interactial relationship. They could have adopted. That would be interesting. Betsy could definitely be a 'Val' type while Bobby could easily be the younger version of Gary. Betsy can be the one who pulls Bobby back in. I love the affair idea behind Abby and Bobby. Gold. And of course Paige could fit in through Sumner and there's plenty to do with her. She writes herself. I can see it working. I don't know if it's something that will grab a huge audience, it's not as 'big' as Dallas, even though it was just as much of a hit as Dallas was. Not to mention there's Brian and Olivia, Abby's kids. Olivia's another character who practically writes herself. Also there's Richard and Laura's son Jason. I bet he could be quite the interesting character. Shades of both of his parents would make for a great grey character. He could be Betsy's love interest, even though he'd be older, but ages don't really matter I guess.
  5. Taylor is a definite highlight. I really never minded Jennifer but they tried to hard with her to be the new Sydney. Sam/Billy/Jennifer/Jeff wasnt all that bad. JMO
  6. Im happy that his 'heyday' period is covered. I think it leaves the door open for another set with his 90s/00s returns even though i think his last great run was in the 90s. I dont think the 00s gave him much great stuff to work with except being brought back and told how horrible he was until he died then returned for the same abuse.
  7. I agree. The reboot was a waste of potential, IMO. Sigh.
  8. I did finally start liking Kyle when he and Jane hooked up.
  9. The Christine storyline drained a lot of life out of the show. I really disliked most of that story.
  10. Sad he was so good and will be missed. First Dick Clark now Frid. They really do go in threes. Whos next?
  11. I agree. It was strange. I guess the writers maybe wanted to leave Alison available for Billy and thought fans would rather see Jake trying to get to know his kid. I never thought Alison and Jake would ride off in the sunset together, though I didn't mind them together, looking back on it. I think the writers lucked out because it was evident that Jake and Alison were thrown together because everyone else had already been thrown together in some form.
  12. I was always disappointed they didn't make more of an effort with Tim and weaving him into the canvas.
  13. I like Rebecca Budig but I never ever felt Greenlee was necessary. I always felt Gillian should have been the one to have lasted so long. I don't know why.
  14. I was watching regularly at the time and I also preferred Gillian with her edge. She was beyond a saccharine heroine once she died. It was disappointing. I really liked her and the character with Ryan (when he too was allowed an edge).
  15. So great to see more Loving clips!
  16. It is a shame they wasted her both times. They really missed the boat in the 90s to rebuild the Matthews clan. I think most soaps by the mid to late 90s really started ignoring their deep histories and never tried many big returns or efforts to rebuild the core families.
  17. Ive always wondered what the deal was with the writing out of Nicole, Maisie, Quinn, MJ, Kathleen (off screen), Vicky and Nancy. Were there just too many similar young women? Of course Nicole ad Vicky were recast and then Amanda was introduced. And Lisa was around.
  18. Very nice. TFP. I can see why fans disliked the infusion of McCleary's. That opening alone was obnoxiously full of them, LOL.
  19. Yeah, they could have.
  20. I agree. She was awesome and fantastic as Virginia.
  21. Right, true. But this Chris was a pretty boy so I considered him a model. I think he is. It's too bad the writers never knew what to do with Chris and never seemed satisfied with any actor in the role. He should have followed in Bob's footsteps. Have several lovers (maybe even a Lisa-type), then a true love (Jennifer/Kim type). I dunno that I consider Emily a Lisa-type.
  22. I loved ATWT around 2000-2001. When I first started really watching. Though not religiously. I liked the kid actors at the time. The cast integration was great. I liked seeing real Adam and ANDY! I didn't mind model Chris. Seeing Hal again. Wow. Losing him was a huge void on the show. Sigh. Helen Wagner aged VERY well.
  23. Soap Classics has posted a Thanksgiving episode from ATWT. Not sure of year, but it's gotta be between 1999 and 2001. http://soapclassics.com/index.php/free-online-episode.html
  24. Man! I so want to see this show, LOL. I wish Agnes would try pushing for a DVD release, though I doubt it would sell well.
