  1. I've read some of your fan fiction and have quite enjoyed it. I hope you keep it up! I have to re-read and catch up.
  2. I was in September, lol. I haven't watched in a little while. I've just been super busy. I might marathon some this weekend.
  3. I still can't believe they never even watched the original. That was sure evident
  4. She looks AMAZING. Damn. Good for her. Wow.
  5. To add fuel to the reboot rumors ... Joan Collins talked to TV Guide about her guest spot on Fran Drescher's TV Land sitcom 'Happily Divorced' and she mentioned she has spoken to Pamela Sue Martin, Jack Coleman and John James about a Dynasty reboot and they would all do it. REAL Fallon! Some network needs to get ON THIS! Exact quote:
  6. So Prospect Park ignored Mark LaMura? That sucks. He's right. Daytime is treated like a dinosaur. It's been long allowed to go extinct. It has so much potential. I'd like to hear his ideas. He seems very smart.
  7. Lol. Taylor was nuts. Lisa Rinna did a great job, I just think they rushed through Taylor's storylines. However, thank god for Jaime Luner.
  8. I agree. I always quite enjoyed his performances. AMC had such unique vets.
  9. Just started watching. I picked the week of Angel's arrival, like Bright Eyes, so yeah, I'm two months behind but I'll catch up. I like to give myself room, so to speak, between past and more current episodes. Anyway, reading this thread helped me better understand what's going on but it seems easy enough to get into. I already like the Bree/Brooke/Annette storyline. I like Chris, would have liked to have seen his story that lead him to this point. I guess I can. He's the only original cast member who's stuck around, right? Is who he with Rachel, right? Reddish/brown hair? I like her too. They both seem interesting. I like the show so far. It being a half hour (well 20-22 minutes) is great. How is the pacing on the show? I feel like the soaps abroad always use more characters in episodes and the overall 'flow' is better, not so disjointed and some actual thought and length are put in some scenes (well, I haven't noticed too many long scenes in Shortland Street but it's a half hour, I kinda expect it)
  10. It was more Josie.
  11. It was just part 2 of the interview with the cast. Some was already said, but still a little different. Josie/Laura highlighted as were Sydney/Jane. Josie's favorite was burying Richard alive. They again played Locklear's talking about the lines she had to say and Courtney again about playing blind Alison and how drunk Alison was fun to play. I have to admit, I kinda loved drunk Alison. I liked that it was a real alcoholic storyline and not just rushed and wrapped up in a couple of episodes. It lasted a while. Doug Savant talked about how honored he was to play Matt, although he gets confused and calls Matt Tom which the cast points out. They all seem to get along really well.
  12. It was good to see them all together. I still can't believe how awesome they all look. And to be fair, they've all pretty much had success or worked steadily since. Savant and Cross for nearly a decade on Desperate Housewives, Locklear's had pilots and guest stints and was a regular on Spin City, Leighton was/is on Pretty Little Liars and was working pretty steadily afterwards, lots of pilots and guest gigs. I take it she and Savant are still married? Grant Show's done a lot just hasn't really had much luck lol. I wonder if he would have come back? Thankfully Andrew Shue has faded from the spotlight. And not to mention Courtney Thorne Smith. Girl was never a great actress but man she's worked a LOT. Good for her. Ally McBeal, According to Jim, Two and a Half Men ... not shabby. And none of them seemed to look down on the show which I truly appreciate, even after the shitty reboot. It was just good, fun entertainment. It was never meant to be Shakespeare and I think they mastered what they did very well. I'm still amazed and thrilled at how much Beverly Hills 90210 and MP soared when I don't see anything like that happening today. Wasn't it rumored at the time that the original plan was to have Jake and Amanda, not Michael and Sydney? Or did most just assume Jake because of the 'David' in the cast. I'm still annoyed they gave Michael a son with the same name as Jake's should be same age grown son. Heather Locklear is supposed to be on Good Morning America again this morning, just a heads up. No idea what it's about.
  13. I guess I meant 'replaced' in terms of age-range, etc. not really them being similar characters. just 'in the sense' replaced each other. I also agree overall about Tad. And considering ABC was bought by Disney in 1996/1997, I agree it was ageism. Disney buying ABC was really probably the true beginning of their (the ABC soaps) downfall. You can just see the shift. That and Brian Frons recycling terrible head writers and producers who weren't really invested in the show. Richard Shoberg's words speak volumes in that interview once Disney bought ABC. Without that 'connection' I can see why Disney just never cared about the soaps, and of course they appeal to families and teens and children so that makes them probably care even less. I'm glad to see some level of respect by ABC to GH but I still think the show is eventually doomed and it's a shame.
  14. I definitely think, in a sense, Edmund replaced Tom, but then, LOL, Zach replaced Edmund. At least that's how I see it looking back on it. Tom definitely became much more supporting once Edmund was on and then Zach came on and Edmund was villified and written out.
  15. Anyone ever read this interview with Richard Shoberg? I find it to be very good. It was from 2009. http://pinevalleybulletin.com/Features/InterviewShoberg.html
  16. Sounds like they had no idea what to do with Tom and kept throwing him in relationships
  17. It was a nice little segment. I miss MP. I really do. They all look amazing. Courtney Thorne-Smith said her favorite storyline was when Alison was blind after the explosion. I think Daphne's was Jo's baby being kidnapped by Kimberly. Grant didn't remember anything from MP but liked kissing/working with Daphne the best. I loved Jake and Jo.
  18. Kelly being around because of Silver semi made sense. Hannah should have been a lead thus bringing Andrea back. Nat worked as Dixons employer. But i think the show made the right call.
  19. Yep. Then they tried and it started kinda working, but it was still a hot mess. Damn. The original cast look incredible still. Wow.
  20. Probably. It was such a missed opportunity. Michael was also written terrible. It wasnt until the mini reunion between the original cast that the characters were finally written better.
  21. I agree. I'm really disappointed they missed one person. I can't believe all of them reunited. I do think they all got along for the most part, and hell, most of them returned for the reboot. They're why I'm so upset the reboot failed on nearly every level.
  22. Hmm. Seems random but it could be good.
  23. Lol. I did forget Tamwar. I think I saw him briefly last month. I dont mind Jay. He seems interesting. I like the actor.
  24. Finished up the first week of September yesterday. So I'm finally caught up. Yay! I like Carly. I was happy she came back to help Shirley exit. It was so sad seeing Shirley sleeping on the streets, falling down drunk and getting bugs. However, it was quite entertaining and Linda Henry is terrific. I love how Phil is desperate for her and not the other way around. I'm glad Tanya and Sharon became friendly after all. I love their scenes together so much. Sharon sparkles with everyone. She really does. She makes me like Jack. She's brought the best out in Ian (whom I adore beyond belief). I love the rebuilding of the relationship between Ian and Lucy. Unlike the US soaps and teens, I find myself caring about Lucy. Finally! I hated her for a while. Love Ian with Bobby. Sharon's return has been good and I like they're taking their time integrating her back into the canvas. Another character I adore beyond belief is Denise. I love how strong she is. I just love everything about her. Zainab and Masood have won me over. Zainab <3 Syed's so pretty That's about all I got. Won't miss him or Christian, who is also quite pretty. I'll have to try and watch their storyline because I think I would like them. I can't blame either for leaving either because both have been dayplayers since I started watching in August, give or take a few extra long scenes here and there. Patrick is awesome. He's great. He's becoming such an anchor. I like how he forces Cora to do good and I liked how they rescued Lucy. I'm over Kat's affair and Alfie being in the dark. Does anyone REALLY care? I like them together and this just feels like such a retread. Anyone else disgusted by the thought of her shagging Derek? The whole affair thing creeps me out. As does her desire to be with Alfie right after. I think Jessie Wallace is doing great but this material is just ... sigh. I give her credit for selling the hell out of it. What's up with Max? I might have missed why he was dropping off that money? I like the actor and wish he was given more to do. Same for Perry Fenwick as Billy. The dynamic between Janine and Michael is great. Is she going on a break too? UGH. Tanya AND Janine both on a break? What happened to Carol/Bianca/Dot coming back? Any dates? Is it true June Brown might not come back? And in watching some scenes from when Nick took the Cafe hostage (lmao that was soooo bad but that was my first chance seeing June Brown in anything somewhat recent and I love her), Bianca's screaming made me lmao so hard. All I remember is reading on here from back in 2010 that all Bianca did was scream and yell Rickaaaaay. And that's exactly what she did. God she was so annoying. Carl and others were right, she was nothing but a paraody. ETA: I LOVE Gillian Wright as Jean. SOOO good. I love how they're better anchoring Patrick, Jean, Cora ... but why is Mo so wasted? Oh well. I don't mind the teens but I'm more indifferent to them. I like that they're all friends. LOL at Anthony's exit. Seriously? I feel like they have too many though. Alice, Lola, Abi, Joey, Lucy, Fatboy, Whitney, Lauren, Tyler .... but at least it's not like the US soaps where they are all either at boarding school or in town while their parents are written out. Cuz THAT always makes sense. I don't get the appeal for Joey, Tyler or Anthony (who's gone). The women far outshine them.
  25. What little I saw of them since I've started watching, I agree with you. I think in all of August they were barely extras. Christian had a scene with Ian. Syed entered his daughter into the Vic's baby contest and lost and whined to Christian. Then Syed sneered at Jay over Heather's murder. Blah. I won't miss them.
