Fantastic news. I wonder if it was in a holding pattern until they could get something she'd say yes to? Am I crazy or is there some deeper meaning to a lot of what's been going on with the changing media landscape and streaming, and ratings and numbers. I just get the vibe like social commentary has set a precedent of "they failed before they're failures" but why can't we force the narrative to change? I just feel like I might be onto something deeper going on in the world and how social media is used. There has to be. It's so divisive and I say that as someone who now recognizes I was part of the problem. Like, we use the history of how it was but the reality is, these shows get good numbers and have a built in fanbase. They just haven't had the right guidance in decades. Anyway ... just throwing it out there I think the landscape is changing and many don't even see it coming.

Hmm. She has kinda disappeared for a while. Love seeing Erika, Lyndsy and Chandler together. Such an interesting mix of three people I like in very different ways. Dang you Hallmark. I may finally have to cave. And I mean, pics get out ... I guess there was an exclusive? Yep. Imagine her back as Colleen. Like ... sigh. Erika Slezak ... get it! I'm so happy for her.

Yeah Jake just feels lazy all around TBH. With Chad and EJ do we really need Jake? I love Brandon Barash but Jake lacks the spark he gave Stefan. The writing lacks too of course. It's amazing how Ron can just totally neglect characters like Xander, Gwen, Jake and Gabi, especially Gwen who sparked and is just competely dead as a character now. All still have some fun lines or moments here and there but like ... they can all go. Xander is whatever Ron wants him to be. Comic relief, stupid loser, scheming jerk ... it's like old flavor EJ. They can't commit. Ron's just having fun with Paul Telfer. Philip/Chloe/Brady/Gabi/Jake all interacting COULD and SHOULD be a fun time but Ron is clearly not invested. Philip and Chloe and Brady should not be expendable but that's how they're becoming under Ron. Jamey Giddens needs to have some influence because these characters need some life.

If only Exactly If Marlena can raise the dead, who's to say they stay dead and just crawl back into their graves? This opens a very weird door I don't think they should step through. I'm probably letting the Halloween season get away with me. LOL. Nathan, Jeremy and Mike should all be on the canvas. So should Stephanie Johnson. I didn't really mind. It felt like it should have been Jeremy instead of Nathan as the reluctant doctor who struggles with his desire to do his own thing and practice medicine like Mike and Tom. Nathan felt shoe-horned in even though I liked Melissa having a son who was clearly Pete's (just saying). I don't give Higley that much credit. They couldn't say both of them adopted the Horton name officially? I understand wanting to keep the Anderson as her last name but Nathan Anderson doesn't spark. I can see why they chose Horton as stupid as it was. They also weren't interested in doing anything with Melissa or Nathan's backstory. We were just supposed to care because he 'was a Horton'

Exactly. I see you Debbie ... I like them and feel the energy is much more watchable without Meghan, but it's become background for me. I'm burnt out like you are I think you're hitting the nail on the head. I don't want "WE DON'T KNOW WHAT WE ARE SO HERE'S JENNY AND SHERRI NAKED" but I miss the fun. When they do it it feels forced, aside from Sara and the hilarious reluctant participation of Whoopi and Joy (I like the new school cooking 'segments' because they're relaxed, eating and just having fun). I think "we're" (the viewers) all getting tired of the 'endless debates' and while they aren't 'fighting' it's exhausting when we're so consumed with it everywhere else. It used to serve that purpose but I'd argue it doesn't anymore. They have to 'read the room'. I'd argue focusing on Hot Topics more 'saved' them but give us some balance. You can tell even Whoopi is kinda checked out on the debating (except when she's really passionate or wants to check someone). I feel her. I also feel like she gives the vibe of "I miss being at home" LOL and I don't blame her. I know some think Whoopi and Sunny have some underlying dislike but I think Whoopi just gives her a hard time and makes fun of her in a 'girl we cool'. Sunny lends herself to it. You can make anything into 'tension' or 'issues' when in reality ... we'd "know it". You felt it with Meghan.

Interesting that Stacy ditched the blonde hair. I think she plays a better Susan (who's coming back but I don't know how long) - who is playing the 'Celeste' role it seems though of course Susan would sense the devil in Salem. LMAO. Can you see her going on and on about Cin's devil baby? LMAO I don't keep up as much right now with the BTS stuff. I feel like we may see them be adjusting to fan comments from Beyond Salem (Leo) THIS. I'd love to see her tackle something with depth. I also argue she played a better Kristen when the writing was more in line with Eileen's Kristen (2018/2019). She still feels like she's playing a parody at times. The breathy crazy eyes. Kristen was always calculating behind her eyes. Stacy's Kristen has the eyes of a horror movie psycho fakeout. I like her Susan. I like Eileen's Kristen. I mean this is the same show that casts Josh Taylor as Roman and Judi Evans as Bonnie. They can have 'two Kristen's. Not saying they will but it's a very DAYS thing to do if you think about it though I don't think either Susan/Kristen work as 'regulars'. Though visits also get tiring. She's "horrible" in certain roles, sure. Have you seen her in anything else? She wasn't this bad on All My Children. In fact it's what got her the daytime attention. Now she just plays breathy psychos and doesn't make it any deeper. She doesn't get Kristen but the writing is crap. It's ok that some of us like her (and you can hate her; I get it) - just not as Kristen OR Patty.

Right? I don't mind, it was a nice kitchen. But we don't need the Corinthos kitchen and the Gatehouse kitchen (and of course both have similar features). Is it so they don't have to use the living room sets that much? I don't really get it. It was the Gatehouse kitchen. Had to be LOL

Interesting. I know I've heard this before but often forget these little things. I could see Robin in the role. Is that what started the JFP/Robin thing ... obviously JFP had no use for Robin and Dorian on OLTL. Obviously Robin went back to OLTL so .... JFP is a petty bitch. It's funny. "At the time" you don't really get why some decisions are made (unless you were well informed) and then little pieces click in. Robin/Dorian always felt like someone JFP would WANT to have (kinda like Jane Elliot/Tracy on GH). You just knew who Phelps leaned towards and who she didn't.

Krista definitely looks like Hunter so from a physical aspect it's a good recasting. I just expect Taylor to be 'in name only' but I'm good with this considering the circumstances with Tylo. I mean, if they didn't want Hunter they wouldn't have asked three times until they finally decided to recast. I know there are issues but they at least tried. Could they have 'tried harder' to work things out? Most likely ... and to be fair, the show is a shell of itself and I think Hunter sees the writing on the wall. She's not a fan. I mean, some of it borders on really really really bad softcore porn levels. That's what Brad wants to write. LOL. I do like Krista. She earned my respect as Billie even though I didn't love softcore porn Billie with the soft baby voice. I just see visions of 'Taylor' doing similar things. I hope I'm wrong. (Anyone else remember her on Married with Children as Crystal Clark the 'man who is now a woman' LOL ... one of my favorite episodes of the later awful seasons) Taylor/Cringe/Bill/Brooke writes itself

They should make Noah bisexual. I don't think they have the guts really but own it if they do. They won't though. No one is here for another Kyle/Tara. NO ONE. I thought the same. I figured they swapped out Ted King for Sean Kanan. I think there's room for both (they need to pair Bill and Brooke and just call it a day) but Brad is unable to have a balanced show. I see some effort from time to time but you had Sheila/Deacon literally having the same conversation for a [!@#$%^&*] week. LOL. For some reason I can't get excited about Li because I feel like Brad would easily kill her off. Even though I see so much potential in her. Everytime they bring Charlie back I think "he's dead". I'm just waiting ... lol Right. I can't believe that's a legit spoiler. They really want to make Y&R seem more interesting than it is. LOL. I also laugh at the Devon/Cassiah/Tessa/Abby spoilers. We all know it's really just propping Abby. And how many "health crises" will Ashland have before Griffith gets bored and kills him? Any interest most fans had in the character seem gone already. Griffith offers NOTHING I'm kinda fine with Adam having all these women wanting him. I still have the bad taste of the 'other' Adam in my brain so it's hard to fathome ANYONE wanting him, so I get it. I'd rather have them falling over Adam than Nick at this point. But let's be real they could do so much more with all of these characters. Griffith sucks.

I like GMA3 for what it is (of course I'd rather have soaps) but it's definitely lost a lot of steam since 2020. It felt like it had some real legs. It hit the mark during the pandemic when everyone was home but it really could simply be an ABC News Live show on it's streaming platform ... or find a way to expand GMA to 3 hours but then they'd have to give up that slot I assume ... anywho sorry just me rambling about a topic nobody probably cares about lol. I can see viewer fatigue with The View. Like GMA3, it 'hit the mark' during the pandemic when everyone was home but I think folks are having 'news fatigue' if you will. We're just hammered by 'hot topics' and 'breaking news' and 'disaster headlines' constantly anymore. I think people want more an escape. The Talk had some interest in Morales. Not surprised. The show still feels dead to me but they have nothing to replace it with so it seems to be a "why not keep trying". I also simply assume people just, clearly, aren't stuck at home like last year.

Right? That episode is such a damn treat. Wow. I'll never understand the current soaps not having their backlog of classic episodes 'ready to go'. I know a lot is involved but .... sigh. IT'S SUCH A WASTE. SoapNet was SUCH a missed opportunity with AMC/OLTL/GH not getting their full runs re-broadcast. I guaran-damn-tee you that they would find an audience on Hulu which would justify their 'returns'. Just saying. But I mean, we have had a 'history' of soaps re-running fairly successfully. Dark Shadows being the most successful, just because of it's cult status. Ryan's Hope and Another World had well received runs on SoapNet. Hello The Doctors! The audience IS there. It's just a lack of effort and a lack of care. Also of course everything is $$$. So .... I know the answers but I still ask "why"

I don't either. I assume it's just because Ron wants to write for Vincent Irizarry and saw an opportunity. If he terrorizes Rafe and Duke I may become a Deimos stan. But I'm sure they'll have him taunt Nicole and Rafe will 'save the day'.

But I get it was, OF COURSE, "behind the scenes". I like Debbie but she seems a little overly sensitive and it seems ... curious, to me. I keep seeing this talk of "women hating each other and being catty" but I've never really seen much of it with the panel we have. Like ... that mantra needs to go away. Women can debate and get upset with each other. We have to change this 'catfight' narrative. When it's a real catfight, you know it. It's like people keep clinging to the Elisabeth/Joy/Rosie O years. I'm OK with this, actually. But it will depend on several things too. Tylo seems done and we know there's issues with Bell so ... is what it is.

If Tylo is done, sadly, I'm not mad at this. I could have seen Kristian Alfonso in the role, but she seems over daytime at the moment.
