  1. It's a good trailer but the show doesn't match what the promo shows, IMHO. Emmerdale is *very* stunt-driven.
  2. Yeah, that's true. Sonny never seems to get called out. It's crazy about Hayden. All this talk yet no Budig and no sign of ever seeing her. What's the deal here? Social media is so tired of Carly on 5 days a week every week. I am too.
  3. I don't get it. I don't get the appeal at all. I think many of them still cling to the memories of when Sonny was written by Claire Labine. Mo has charm so I can understand it but at the same time ... Scotty's disdain for Sonny is everything. He speaks for so many of us. I didn't miss him at all. I liked "Mike". They need to blend the two and get him out of the mob. Mo going grey works. I like it. It just seems silly to me that Sonny and even Jason are still mob thugs at this point. It doesn't work anymore
  4. PREACH SCOTTY BALDWIN! LOL God. Grandpa Thug Sonny Corinthos. They really need to move past this. I'm sure Facebook loved it. Not sure what to think on the Spencer reveal. They really can't think Maxie and Austin have any chance or chemistry as a couple. Like ... just stop. It's awkward and you can tell it's forced. Please don't. I wish Brook Lynn would be right about Austin but you know she's going to have egg on her face as Austin is some wonderful amazing man. I'd rather he be secretly bad, but I feel like we've done that too much lately and Maxie doesn't need another of those. And there it is. Esme is with Ryan.
  5. Yep. Carly should definitely be pissed at Sonny. It's probably not going to be long before Carly starts realizing there's more between Sonny and Nina than either is saying. Hopefully. It's such an odd decision. I don't even dislike the actress and I'd rather see Harmony over Willow but like ... WHY?
  6. Agreed completely. The Susan storyline really dumbed John down to the point of Austin levels. 1998 was rough. 1997 started the decline. 1996 was a mixed bag. And to the other posters, JER didn't like actors speaking up. He viewed them as their characters. John Aniston, Thaao Penghlis and Matthew Ashford were all pretty much a victim of this. Aniston has never gone back on contract after he left.
  7. It's so odd. Like ... what was the point then? I assume she shows up it's just not a pressing priority but I could be wrong. Why is he not reaching out to her and offering money and support? He remembers her. Like ... and why even kill Lenny off? What was the point of any of it? No Phyllis yet the actress who plays Harmony was given a [!@#$%^&*] contract? I actually like her but it seems odd. Why?
  8. They need to play her with Cameron. Josslyn/Cameron need a spoiler too and I could see Josslyn 'exposing Esme' and Esme stealing Cameron away (while Sprina get closer). But we'll see. There's potential here. But like we're talking about in the September thread, they seem to be dragging their feet on a lot of things. It really just reeks of micromanagement from you-know-who. It probably wouldn't hurt to add a third guy to the Joss/Cam/Trina/Spencer/Esme group.
  9. I agree totally on Esme. They already seem to be wasting time. I think the whole 'Ava's stalker' storyline is stalling and keeps getting 'reset' if you will. We're all losing interest. I like the actress too and she seems to elevate a bit past the one-noteness of the character. I just don't get this show. There's "slow burn" (where, you know, it's actually interesting) and then there's whatever they call what they're doing. Agreed on Carly and Nina. I could nitpick a few things but I'm satisfied for the most part. I wanted a slap really bad though.
  10. LOL she sure is and I don't even hate them together. I'd rather they be playing siblings ... Liz not involved in any of that shows me right there they aren't invested in her at all. Not that I needed to be shown that. I've long known. Just continued confirmation. Yet Britt gets tons of it ... and I like Britt but still ... this is what I mean often when I say "the focus is all wrong" And did Stella just vanish? Did I miss her goodbye episode? She wasn't around for Jordan so I assume I did ...
  11. I sure wouldn't turn him down And I knew I recognized him from elsewhere.
  12. TempNik reminded me of Michael Sutton (Stone) in the face and that's all I could picture. He wasn't bad though. Read a little older but not a bad thing. I liked the Carly/Nina confrontation for the most part. I would have loved a full on cat fight but of course Jason had to walk in. I'll take what I can get from this show at this point I guess. It wasn't totally one-sided for a change but it still was slanted in Carly's direction. Laura Wright and Cynthia Watros elevated some of it and I thought they were good. And lord I would be fine NEVER hearing Morgan's name again. Ever. EVER. Just bring him back as a recast. I'm tired of hearing Carly wail and scream about him. It just irks me. And from the preview for tomorrow I have to say I'm shocked we're getting Ned/Jason. And we get Carly/Jax. It does seem like it's already heading towards Josslyn vs. Esme when it should be Trina vs. Esme but we'll see. I would like more POV from some of these people, like Escargot and even Jason and Liz. It's just so lacking. I know they're trying to keep Esme 'mysterious' but they have to give a little at times too ... I feel like they shifted directions on her already but I could be wrong.
  13. I know the show isn't exactly 'must-see' but I still find things to enjoy Norris causes mischief at his funeral Rita vs. Audrey after Audrey backs into Rita's car It's been nice seeing more of Ken, Rita and Audrey and Gail is back
  14. I see they haven't learned anything
  15. LOL right? It's so bad. What happened to Jax? (I mean, in the grand scheme of things I don't care LOL but he makes more sense) I'm not holding my breath. Potential remains but as Chit said, this Leave it to Beaver drama doesn't cut it
  16. I thought it was a very good twist to change up Jason. But you lost that moral compass for the Q's. Emily was able to pick that up. Jason should have 'blended' years and years ago. But I know Burton has fought against it. I think that's why I preferred Filler Miller's "Jason" because he wasn't just some bot who forced out a tear and pretended to give a damn about the Q's. Burton does better now, in some ways, less in others (the writing is bad for Jason, IMO - they aren't invested in him despite being on constantly) and he seems to appreciate Leslie Charleson and it shows. lol great minds think alike
  17. I forgot all about her on Cold Case. And hmm, wonder why it didn't last long. She wasn't allowed to succeed like other actresses IMO. Didn't she speak out about Moonves and others?
  18. My interest started waning around where you are at. I appreciated the twist of seeing Peter and someone catching Nina, but at the same time I can't stand seeing him so it's hard to appreciate it at all LOL. The writers do try but they have so many things against them.
  19. It's not great by any means LOL. I agree. I find Dotty interesting. I find some things interesting, but the show as a whole seems .... lost. I don't want constant drama and trauma but there's a lack of energy. I think that's why I perk up with Janine and some others because the actors clearly enjoy working with Charlie Brooks and it shows. Is the writing interesting? Not really ... so many characters just seem to be ... existing. It's hard to explain.
  20. JOSSLYN SHUT UP. Put a muzzle on her. It's so drama free and meh it's ridiculous. It's hilarious seeing GH twitter united in that fact. It's not just us ya'll lol. They are clearly writing for the Facebook stans, who just loved the Sonny/Carly/Jason reunion. Like ... ugh. The writers give a good story layout and Frank comes in at the end and says 'nope; psyche everyone!'. As you said, we are the Charlie to his Lucy and that couldn't be more spot on.
  21. Yep. Lots of potential and yet everything just ends up being 'meh' It's such a shame and a waste of our time
  22. LOL. Janine helps out at the Vic and finally has scenes with Sharon. Janine's talk and wink to the statue. LOL Janine and Zack also slept together. Countdown until she gets The Vic ...
  23. Didn't SJB go to B&B/ATWT around 2003/2004/2005 so yeah she wasn't really available I suppose (I know she was on those shows obviously LOL but I always mix up the years). And I agree with you I hate they had SJB and TB play other roles on the show. I'm guessing SJB and Phelps were cool enough for her to return so there's that. I guess it was a mix of SJB wanting equal footing (much like Marcil) and not really getting it. Shame. Marcil and SJB should have been mainstays for YEARS on this show (though I know Marcil often wants to ... wander ...) I agree that Carson have their stans for sure. You also have Jasam fans still clinging to 2011 writing. Some seem to want couples together forever with no conflict. Well, then they don't need to be on 5 days a week. Move them to supporting, you know? lol And I think seeing all these stans losing their minds proves to me that they were RIGHT to shake things up. But they're still straddling the fence with the Carson stans it seems.
  24. Oh, the troll said that? Gotcha. It's ridiculous they keep pulling out the 'youth' card. That 'theory' has gone back to at least the 80s with the soaps and it NEVER worked. Did it? What works is a multi-generational show with layered characters and writing. When I was younger I didn't watch for the teens. I watched for the adults. So many in the industry just 'don't get it'. They're there to push an agenda, follow the status quo and keep the show on a budget. Some care of course. When care is taken, it shows. I would have loved more follow up questions with Goutman. EDIT: I've been rewatching some Marland ATWT and as I bemoan how useless characters like Beau and Pam are, I realize Marland was brilliant in having younger people to 'check off the box' while cleverly showcasing the veterans. The younger people really didn't 'matter' because the show was happening around them. Unless I'm giving him too much credit. Just a thought. Writers/producers should take note.
