  1. Thanks for letting me know. Rick Darros should have shaved his back and shoulders before wearing that shirt. Loved the flashback from Kay to the 1970's and the scenes between Kay & Jill snipping at one another. Kay was trying so hard not to tear her throat out.......LOL I miss all the vintage background music.
  2. If you are interested, Sharon Gless (and Tyne Daly) did interviews with The Archive Of American Television. Sharon Gless is hilarious and interesting. She talks about how she started out as a contract player in 1972 with Universal and stayed 10 years. She was the last contract player in the history of the studio system. When they did the 1981 C&L pilot TV movie. They wanted Gless from the start, but she was under contract with Universal. When it went to series, they tried to get her again, she was still under contract. They shot 6 episodes with Meg Foster as Cagney and CBS pulled the plug after 3 aired. Rosenzweig begged for another shot and told CBS he would get Gless. Her contract had come to an end by then and was able to snag her. Barbara Corday and her partner who wrote C&L in the 70's had always saw SG in the Cagney role. It took them 6 years to get a network to buy the series. Sharon said she knew when she started that the whole show rested on her to help Tyne make it work, which was a lot of pressure.
  3. Paul Carr who is playing Dr. Paul Summers was a fantastic actor. He did a lot of TV series and films. A lot of the time he was cast as bad guys, but I have read he was one of the nicest guys in real life. He was on Y&R at one point playing Victor's lawyer during his divorce from Nikki. One role Carr did that was hilarious was an episode of Get Smart. They were doing a take off of the Raymond Burr series Ironside and Paul played the side kick of Leadside. He was rolling him around in his wheel chair during a sword fight scene....LOL
  4. LOL....good examples. Janice Lynde said if she had it to do all over again she would have stayed on Y&R. I guess hindsight is 20/20. William Gray Espy (Mitch) seemed to never want to be stuck in one place too long either. I remember Linda Dano said he would come on the show and after a few months start complaining he had to get off it and felt cooped up. James Houghton said the same thing when Espy was on Y&R. I think Espy now runs or owns a golf club in his hometown of Dothan, Alabama.
  5. I listened to it again your right it's Dave Madden in the Tigress ad. The Cybill one sounds like John Pleshette from Knots Landing. John did another ad for Foster Grant with Cybill. Now picture him yelling Laura.....LOL
  6. I think it is Dave Madden who was Reuben on The Partridge Family and Alice.
  7. I say there are episodes in someones basement somewhere. Spotlight is long forgotten short lived channel. There is a few clips on youtube. The late Robert Osborne from TCM was a host for the channel.
  8. I know. I guess a lot of people are afraid of copyright laws etc...or just too lazy to bother.
  9. Thanks for that rare promo. I wish that show would surface on youtube. Somebody out there had to be recording it. Probably some teens who were hoping to see something.....LOL
  10. I never understood why Michael Crawford stopped appearing. The last time I remember him he was helping Skip and Carol with their custody/adoption case and Jill convincing him to be the face of the men's line at Jabot.
  11. I've been watching a lot of 70's stuff on youtube and didn't realize how many times Jess Walton worked with Colby Chester (Michael Crawford) before they were together on Y&R. Jess must have been a contract player with Colby at Universal along with Sharon Gless, Lindsay Wagner, Darlene Carr etc...
  12. It looks like her to me.
  13. Fawne Harriman as oldest daughter Charlotte in the 1972 ABC movie of the week All My Darling Daughter's.
  14. Lara Parker playing one of Robert Young's 4 daughters in My Darling Daughter's Anniversary (1973). MDA is a sequel to the 1972 ABC movie of the week All My Darling Daughters. Fawne Harriman played the role of Charlotte in the first film and was unavailable due to her contract role on Somerset. Colby Chester (Y&R) plays her husband. Anna Lee from GH also appears.
  15. Colby Chester (Michael Crawford)in the ABC Movie Of The Week " All My Darling Daughters (1972) & My Darling Daughter's Anniversary(1973).
  16. After posting the 1976 opening/closing credits it reminded me of an article about the tape wiping process and the reusing of videotape. In the late 60's and early 70's viewers noticed that The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson had a muddy appearance. Years later Johnny went to pull vintage episodes from the vault for an anniversary celebration, he as told there were none and was upset. Did ATWT have a muddy appearance from the constant reuse of videotape ?
  17. LOL.....Imagine a soap today giving a young girl a name like Ruth or maybe Bertha. Bertha Newman, Bertha Forrester etc...
  18. Thanks for the clip. I was a little kid at this time and remember bits and pieces. I noticed Sam Behrens as the young husband in the Joy dishwashing detergent commercial at the end.
  19. I think it would have made more sense to of had Dana Delany (Hayley) play the kid sister of Rita McLaughlin (Carol). They looks like they could be real sisters.
  20. Two trailers I assume fan made for season 1 & 2 of Dallas. They did a good job of editing and going for the dramatic effect.
  21. Thanks for the promos. I liked Tom Tammi as Tom in the classic episodes I have seen uploaded. I guess the show decided to go in another direction by replacing him with Justin Deas.
  22. I liked Finn Carter as Sierra and was sad when she was gone. I am surprised she never returned to soaps at some point. Her IMDB page lists her last role in 2005. I think someone posted that Scott Bryce (Craig) still stays in touch with her. Yes she was so whiny. Andy was always seemed so morose in any pairing he was in. I am surprised they didn't try Andy with Lilly back in the 80's.
  23. I never could stand Courtney. I also hated how she wore her hair like her brother Sean (when Burke Moses played the part). I was glad when she was gone.
  24. It seems like I remember Greg Watkins having some sort of accident in the late 90's that kept him from working for a while. Am I remembering right or was that someone else ?
  25. I don't know if this was intended to be a commercial or what. It's listed as Crazy Curtain Lady. It appears to be filmed late 80's to the mid 90's. I almost expect Fran Drescher to appear and yell " Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaa". She really loves curtains.
