  1. Oh, it's bizarre. You would think she would have exited with him. That's why I assume she probably isn't problematic because it would have been very easy to fire her with him. It tends to make me think perhaps she distanced herself from him or the marriage. But I don't know this woman at all so no idea.
  2. Yeah, the craziness and BTS stuff helps for sure.
  3. I think there are just more GH fans on this board than any other soap. I don't watch Y&R or B&B, but Days only has the same 5 or 6 posters on the thread.
  4. It's extremely awkward. As far as I can tell she was never under investigation. I would assume Days would have fired her at the same time if she was problematic as well. If Alan Alarr treats his employees like that I can only imagine how he treats his wife. But that doesn't mean she is bad at her job. I don't notice her writing to be worse than anyone else's. Yesterday's show was pretty good. I just don't think we know enough about her personally to judge her.
  5. Yup. I was being kind. I could easily get rid of 60% of the cast. At the very least I always am clear this is the last segment/scene on Days. Fridays usually have a solid cliffhanger to get us through the weekend. Days has so many flaws, but they have a very clear soap structure that makes it very easy to follow along and be excited mildly interested enough to tune in the next day. The Sonny cliffhanger yesterday was silly and weak. I still do actually consider it a cliffhanger though. Jason staring off into space or offering to give Danny a ride home is not. To me GH is doing endings lately that signify these conversations are complete for the day with nothing to make us want to tune in tomorrow.
  6. Oh, I agree. We need like 10 people to go before we add more. But the Trina/Joss young adult scene does need a little beefing up, so it's not like the show is adding another middle aged male OLTL vet that will inevitably paired with Liz or anything lol.
  7. With everything else going on I forgot to mention I liked Gio. He's cute and although he didn't do much he seemed pretty natural. It was a little stilted when he called Sonny "Mr. Corinthos" and we learned Sonny pays for his music schooling and has for years. That would imply a much closer bond between them, but whatever. At least his music was better than Violet's singing.
  8. The way it was going I thought Brook Lynn and Chase might just fall asleep fully clothed on their wedding night lol. CLIFFHANGER! 😂
  9. I tend to agree with you. Outside of who Sonja Alarr is married to, we have no indication she is bad at her job or a bad person. It's not the best look, but we really don't know her circumstances or much about her. For all we know she's a victim herself, in the process of getting out of the marriage, distancing herself from the situation, etc. She hasn't outright publicly defended him (as far as I know), so I see no reason for her to be fired.
  10. Oh, I don't blame KMc wanting to get out at all. It would have been an awful way to end Robin's story though. The Lisa Niles story drug out about a year too long.
  11. Yes, I remember some truth bombs dropped at Carly, but mostly what I remember about GW's stint was the intro of Kate 2.0 and Robin having major HIV/AIDS complications to the point it seemed like they might possibly kill her off.
  12. Garin Wolf took over right after Guza. Sometime in July-August 2011. Right around the time when Vanessa/Brenda left. Brenda left and Sonny went off his meds, Jax/Carly were having a custody trial over Joss, Liz gave Lucky's wife the wrong meds, Lulu was in Florida faking being a hooker to try to find missing Luke, and Jason/Sam got engaged. That what was happening right before GW took over, so.....not the best.
  13. Oh, you definitely weren't coming off that way! Most of the time even if I enjoyed periods of GH I find myself nodding my head knowing I can understand why others didn't. If you were looking for a Quartermaine, reality based, hospital focused soap, GH was not the place to look for it in the 2000's lol.
  14. Again, that's fair. I was a Sonny, Jason, and Carly fan back in 99/00. In fact, I am pretty sure I enjoy Sonny, Carly, Jason still more than most on this board even though I absolutely see their faults and can realize they are over played. I still stand by the fact GH was pretty solid for me until 2003. Guza was left to his own devices for far too long and I did disagree with a lot of the material he put out. I still knew he was capable of more if reigned in and I am not sure CVE and EK are.
  15. To be fair, Marlena knows Eric still has feelings for Nicole and Eric/Nicole's breakup was much more recent. Plus, it's her son and this Eric/Nicole working relationship started about 5 minutes ago lol. I think it's a fair question. I do think it's weird when Marlena asks her patient (Nicole) about those feelings though. Roman/Marlena/John/Kate have been friendly for years now with little hint of feelings. No one asks Kate how she feels about seeing John at the Pub and they were engaged lol. From either Ava or Jada. Can't remember who told him. Jada was talking about the black book being encoded and Steve offered to help (of course with an assist from Shane/ISA-because Shane doesn't do enough lol)
  16. THIS. I really get everyone's criticisms with Guza. You all make valid points and I don't disagree. There were serious issues with the show when he was in charge. But it was more entertaining and more memorable than anything we've had in the last 7 or 8 years. I am not saying GH should re-hire Guza, but at least the man knew how to write a sweeps event even if the main players were generally Sonny, Carly, Jason. There has to be some middle ground between Guza and CVE that's entertaining while being thoughtful and character driven. And Days still manages to have legit cliffhangers everyday as well. Even if they are stupid lol.
  17. I am a little confused why Kayla can't know about the Konstantin stuff, but Marlena can? It's strange to me how Steve keeps Kayla much more in the dark than John does with Marlena. It doesn't make a whole lot of sense. Wow, Holly was awful to Nicole today. It's been a real shift in behavior just because she can't go to prom lol. I like the turn. It just came on really quickly. The cliffhanger was good. I wonder how Nicole is going to get out of that lol. I did laugh at EJ getting fired. He was so confident he wouldn't. It would have been so much easier for EJ to just re-open the stupid Gabi case. All in all good show today.
  18. Yup. Guza had a laundry list of faults beginning with playing off his greatest hits, a love of violence, misogyny, and clear favorites. At least they were actual GH characters that he favored and at least he had some greatest hits at GH and memorable moments. Frank had about 6 months of good work at GH a decade ago and DOC and CVE did what exactly that was memorable? Anyhow, when I am defending Guza this hard you know I am irrationally irritated with GH lol. First call Guza would make.
  19. Why not? At least things actually happened right or wrong.
  20. Yep. And at least I know there would have been a car bomb or shoot out at this wedding and possible casualties if Guza was around. I am not advocating violence, but I think we all can agree the purge is needed. And, hey, I know Guza likes VM and Brenda and would give me a little hope on that front. Now, I am just depressed waiting for the Roger Howarth re-hiring.
  21. Yeah. I basically lost any hope I had. I wasn't enjoying PM's work, but I had optimism it would get better. And now I don't. I wish PM got to see one story through or get rid of 5 or 10 characters lol. PM was obviously not a Frank choice and it seems PM was stymied at every turn on purpose to force him out so FV could get his vision back. It's very frustrating. I am at the point where I actually miss Guza lol.
  22. I don't really understand that logic. If someone wanted to get Jason they could just walk up the basically public stairs to his room at Bobbie's. Or just open the window like Danny did to his unguarded room. Jason doesn't need a clipboard, warehouse, and coffee beans to be out in the open. He already is easy bait with his living situation.
  23. It was depressing to begin with. Hire an employee. Spinelli's not doing much. He'd hang out there for free just to be near Jason. I don't really care about Lane Davies. I hated his first run and I do think it's a bit ridiculous they are giving him a new role to play off NLG again after it failed once. There are much bigger cast additions needed and cuts to make first. Anyhow, I will probably still watch, but it may be binging episodes at a time and ff more than watching live. Again, it just sours me entirely on the show since I felt like I didn't get to see anything PM was going to do or could have done. Waste of time.
  24. I just think it's upsetting and a letdown all around. I don't feel like I got to see anything great from PM, we didn't get any cast purge, barely any stories moved and now we are basically at square one. Oh well. If anyone thought SBu would be GH's savior in 2024 they were sorely mistaken especially considering his most consistent screen partner was a bag of coffee beans.
  25. I 100% agree. Loved the episode until Violet starting singing. And *of course* she wrote it herself. 🙄 Is she even supposed to be good or just obnoxious?
