  1. If he's over 18 I don't really care. He looks old enough in that picture. I just the read the part about him in high school lol. I have to believe Natalia's son will show up. He was named dropped about 10 times this week. Is he older or younger than Blaze? I can't recall if she said one way or the other. For some reason I thought older.
  2. People have mentioned this earlier and I agree. The day to day dialogue is snappier and more character based. Unfortunately a lot of times I can watch 2 or 3 episodes in a row and feel like absolutely nothing happened and I am not excited for the next day.
  3. JJ did do a bunch of crying during his return and his buddy/buddy schtick with Jason was weird. But at the same time Lucky's life was super depressing during his run. Even JJ said he was sick of the stories. I will never forget him starring at a Vicodin pill on the floor for an ENTIRE episode.
  4. Lucky and Emily to a lesser extent were both unique characters played by memorable actors as children and I don't think the show made the proper choice in recasting either one. I think Vaughn did what he could with stories like bedding Maxie while addicted to pills and being that guy Liz cheated on. Making Lucky a cop was an interesting choice as well. JJ made it work, but it wouldn't be my first choice as his career and I doubt the show would have done had JJ been in the role the entire time.
  5. That would have worked. It would have also given Johnny/Chanel more to do as I don't love them being saddled with a kid so early on. It would ironic if Sami's son was tricked by Nicole's daughter and it would be a throw back to Sami's own scheming. There was probably no good way to go about a guy in his mid-20's being seduced by a high schooler in this day and age so I get it. I just wouldn't have started the Johnny/Holly story in the first place. I also think the show is missing beats about the fallout from Holly's drug use, coma, and framing Tate. She should be an outcast at school, but she seems pretty popular and has friends, a prom date, and a secret boyfriend. Sami had multiple traumas that led her down her evil path, but so has Holly. Her father is dead and she never knew him, her quasi father Eric divorced her mom, Nicole lost her baby/Holly's brother, Johnny rejected her, and she was in a coma after a drug overdose. It would be very easy to make Holly into a schemer or villain.
  6. I am bummed Maggie wasn't playing him too. I was much more convinced Maggie was onto him, but I guess it was John/Marlena who were all along. Anyhow, the DH/SR feud and it spilling over on screen is more entertaining than the entire Konstantin story. At least it seems like it will be ending soon. I wonder if Theresa will get exposed as well. I feel like you can milk the Alex/Theresa/Brady side of the story for a bit longer.
  7. I agree about the recast. I think if they happened to get ORK back or found a better replacement Claire would have edge again. That was also a time when Claire was on a long Ciara/Ben apology tour and had to act normal and not light people on fire. Her mental struggles and crazy antics of the past make her already 100 times more exciting than any current young person on the cast.
  8. I tend to remember only the good about TC and ignore the fact he personally checked out long before he left. When you list off all his awful stories it's really clear how little Guza cared about him. Nothing expresses it more than being paired with Courtney lol. I was no Nik/Emily fan, but it was probably a big mistake to kill her off too. Nik just ended up bouncing from woman to woman and nothing stuck. I remember the first day JJ was back as Lucky he instantly jumped about 50 IQ points. I don't have much love for GV's Lucky, but the poor guy had some horrible writing.
  9. I feel so bad ragging on it now knowing his struggles, but I think GH would at least have been mildly aware, so they put him in a position he shouldn't have been in too. I do think they did their best to protect TC and keep him employed as well. So, I will just go with it was a horrible concept and I have no idea what Guza was thinking. And let's just have Emily raped on top of it.
  10. Thanks! I think I just blocked out that ENTIRE story and character because it was awful as well. I can't even form an articulate sentence to tell you how much I hated the entire thing. RIP TC and you know I love him, but two character was one too many.
  11. Oh, makes sense. If I recall correctly she died accidently in a freezer because of Georgie, but not Georgie because someone else killed her. Morbid for sure. Anyhow, Carly being scrappy AF was rootable. Saddling herself to Jason was super smart at the time. Then even moving on to Sonny when Jason wasn't an option as well. I just don't think LW exactly gets that backstory even though I love her hair and wacky ways.
  12. I would say Logan and Cooper had potential and it was ridiculous Diego went out that way. But I think Guza was entirely over the Alcazar clan. Didn't Sage die a horrible death too? Georgie being killed off was just a colossal mistake. The Duhon stuff seems to be true since he barely worked again and wasn't a bad actor. It will never not be a missed oppurtunity to have made Cooper a Julia/Brenda brother or perhaps Julia's son. Like why give him that last name and not go with it? Lulu had way too many love interests for sure. And she didn't seem that fun to be around and had chemistry with approximately none of them until Dante appeared. I don't think Eden is an objectively bad actress and this girl has been playing this role since she was a child/tween. I just don't think Joss is very likeable either. Yes. There were actually way more clues pointing Logan than Diego
  13. It's weird because Sami being messy and horrible worked out well. Even Lucas being a spoiled brat worked well for the shenanigans at the time. Chloe, Brady, Phillip, even Shawn got to keep some of their edge for more than a minute. I just don't know why Days is currently so scared of it. Rachel has more bite than both Tate and Holly.
  14. Lulu eventually grew out of it and was tolerable, but I don't imagine Jax and Carly's daughter will lol. Eden McCoy just plays Joss like she's better and wiser than everyone else which actually might be how she is told to play it. But the recast was much more enjoyable. Fair. Figured that.
  15. I seriously can't remember much about either tbh. One of them (ex-Cooper) pinched hit for Greg Vaughn recently on Days and he was very good and very hot still.
  16. Thank you. I thought it was just me, but if someone told me he was Logan or Cooper Barrett or some other rando Maxie bf that tragically died I would buy it. I also have a huge problem wanting to call Joss Lulu all the time. For some reason Joss reminds me so much of early smug Lulu. That might be a me problem, but Eden McCoy just looks like JMB to me. But I can't tell the new Aiden from the old Aiden apart so who knows?😂
  17. I think you could go in a lot of different directions with Dex. He is mostly a blank slate. At this point I am not sure the actor or character is worth it. I think he looks way too much like Michael and reminds me a lot of one of Maxie or Lulu's boyfriends from the mid 2000's.
  18. It's strange and I always wondered what the plan was for Dev-and, no, I don't believe he was Alec or a Sonny/Brenda long lost kid because Brenda wouldn't keep losing track of her children-hopefully. I thought maybe he might turn out to be gay/bi possibly. Idk. I think MB really pushed for the kid and convinced them to hire the Dev actor long term. Dex was hired to do Jason-y mob stuff while Jason was gone and to give Joss a love interest because Will Lipton was leaving. I think it's possible that it was to move Joss into a more adult role as well. I don't think it's much more deep than that, but watch he turns out to be Robert and Holly's son or something.
  19. I tend to believe Days tries a lot to introduce edgy young people all the time and they immediatly lose their edge. Allie, Chanel, Johnny, Ciara, even Wendy and Tripp started out more interesting. Claire might be the only recent young teen/adult who kept a tiny bit of edge. I have to agree with you that we missed a step or five from Holly not being into Tate at all and suddenly they are star crossed. As an audience we obviously knew it was coming, but there was so little time spent on Holly getting over Johnny and her deciding Tate was the one. I really don't think we got any insight on that from Holly at all. It just happened in an episode or two.
  20. Weirdly, I can understand why Jason would be so ride or die for Sonny. Sonny showed Jason a whole new world and respected and liked new/brain damaged Jason when everyone was pressuring Jason to be Jason Q. He gave him a job and helped him to get out of the Q's fold entirely. I mean, it obviously was a very dangerous and risky world, but I can see why Jason has twisted loyalty to Sonny. Carly had sex with Jason a few times and showed up at his a door with a baby he knew wasn't his and that explains a lifetime of loyalty? I know they really, really like one another but I can't really think of anything that Carly has done that has actually helped Jason. The show probably has no idea where to go with Dex so keeping the family stuff in the back pocket can make him tied to someone on the show if necessary. I feel like it's the same sort of trick they did with Dev until the show decided he was useless.
  21. I know they have established it over and over, but the question is why? Starting from the days of Jason marginalizing and disregarding his entire relationship with Robin for Carly/Michael. It has never really made sense. It was just a thing we had to accept as viewers because he loved Carly and the kid and was keeping them safe from EVIL AJ. I do think the initial point was to actually pair Carly/Jason back in the day, but 25 years later it still doesn't add up. One can only hope lol.
  22. Unfortunately yes. Back in the SJB days and Jason didn't realize that meant he was cheating on Robin. I don't even know. I don't think the show has ever really made any believable excuse to me about why Carly/Jason are that weird about one another. A lot of blah, blah about being bff and never letting one another down and so on and so forth. I have a best friend. They wouldn't buy me a hotel and/or pretend to be dead to work for the FBI to protect me. Thanks, I really do try.
  23. First off, you make a ton of great points and I am not disagreeing with you at all. But at this time all of this still seems in character for Jason/Carly. They aren't amazing people. And Jason has always put Carly first ahead of everyone for some unknown loyalty reason. If you reverse course and don't have Carly/Jason act like they aren't entirely obsessed with one another would viewers think that was totally out of character? I don't even know if there is a right or wrong answer on this. I just don't think any amount of character rehab for either character would make me forget all the previous idiotic things Jason/Carly have done and convince me they were good people.
  24. Yes exactly. All of it was corny and silly and I don't think it reflects how any 17/18 year old would act, but I also probably don't want to know how current 17 years old act either. It's also a bit silly for me to even criticize a show like Days for not being realistic enough. With the devil possession being an actual thing on the show and all.😂
