From what i have gleaned over the years (and I don't want to look it up lol) Brenda was supposed to be his girlfriend/partner/wife whatever. Not a co-conspirator as she, of course, wasn't wise to Franco's plans. It checks they hired Marsha Thomason Vanessa's costar from Las Vegas though. Vanessa was very clear that she only wanted to work with characters Brenda knew on the show and didn't want a return to be a gimmick/publicity stunt. I think she booked Lipstick Jungle directly after this so I think GH had to wait that out. I do believe Vanessa came to the table with very specific ideas for Brenda and was pissy when they added Dante. It seems like she was hyper focused on a Sonny/Brenda reunion when in the past she was always neutral on the Sonny/Brenda/Jax triangle. Maybe Ingo was already weird, but she did seem to be close to him previously.

Lol! The MOCA thing is what I was talking about. I *think* Guza got a great big idea about Franco being tied to Brenda and wanted the Balkan nonsense to be a Franco thing instead. Not the Dante part, but the child and that whole thing. I have only pieced that together through VM interviews and she is an unreliable narrator so take that for what it's worth. When Vanessa dipped out of that idea because she got another gig or something I think Guza flipped the whole thought to Jason. Because I think Guza's entire inner monologue in 2010 was "Jason! Jason! Jason! And also Brenda! Dante!"

No point. I get it probably sounded okay on paper and was good buzz, but JF was clearly mocking GH, soaps, and the entire fanbase. And Guza just kept running with it. I am pretty positive Guza wanted Brenda to tie into the story, but Vanessa hard passed. There was a whole thing about the numbers/signatures he put in paintings. It just didn't add up to much. He was an actual serial killer that made money by taking pictures of serial killings as an artist and was famous, but super obsessed with Jason. I liked when JF did the whole art exhibition in LA and just jumped off the roof so he was presumed dead though. It was ridic but mildly entertaining.

I reject a ton of things that have happened on GH. That doesn't mean they aren't real. I appreciate the dedication to double down on this. You want me to believe Liz, who was at home at the time looking at Aiden's paternity results, didn't notice a grown man breaking into her home and physically throwing a toddler into the street is more believable than a toddler opening an unlocked door and walking into the street? Abby was not worth the trouble of going through all that rigmarole to kill her. Franco should have just thrown her in front of Luke's car too lol. Thanks for the laughs though. She got no justice either. They told Michael she was just injured and then led him and Sam? to the morgue instead.😂

It doesn't seem like KA or PR are bad off in general. As far as AZ, I can't believe even she needs the money just based on longevity on the show. Although I do remember a SOD or SOW piece on actors from the 90's or 2000's that explained how soap actors first starting out make next to nothing.

Ha! LA parking is no joke. They probably weren't offering KA and PR much and they were just over it. At this time I really think these "bigger stars" are just doing it out of love for the character, the show, and their fans. Not because it's actually financially sound.

I don't think anyone on Days, even Deidre, makes 350000 currently. I think the show did pay DH over a million at one time. Anyhow, no wonder AZ left. Under 6 figures in LA? That's barely enough to cover the cost of living. And I don't think Shawn Christian works that often and that's her husband/partner. Although I am very confident Ray Ban can afford that table so cool for JS.

😂 I feel like Franco in that era would have wanted to steal Jake away and make him his own-not throw him in front of a moving vehicle. The Jason/James Franco vibes were so weird at the time. He would eat green? M&M's because they were Jason's favorite. Even summarizing stories from that era feel like a fever dream.

Of course I remember the Luke is a drunk saga. But that just didn't happen lol. Anyhow, write your own fanfiction. I'll leave it alone.

So Michael was having trouble interacting with females his age due to his time in prison (can't remember if we knew he was raped at the time, don't think so, but heavily implied). Michael went to Sam and asked her to find him a prostitute so he could get his first time over with and be more confident. Sam for some unknown reason agreed to this request. Abby was one of Sam's friends from the strip club (they knew one another through her PI work). Sam "hired" Abby to sleep with Michael. Abby didn't take any money, wasn't a prostitute, and had a heart of gold. Michael freaked out at their first attempt at sex, but Abby continued to hang out with him. I think Abby had an abusive bf at some point that Michael rescued her from. Eventually they became a couple and were kind of cute. They date for awhile and she stops stripping and may or may not have worked for Tracey or the Q's? She was on business trip somewhere when she got hit by the crane. Also there is a great Sonny scene where he meets Abby at the hospital after the BUS CRASH of 2011 and knows she's a stripper because she's wearing fishnet stockings. Seriously. Oh, Guza It also should be noted that Michael was in HIGH SCHOOL at the time him and Abby/Candy* met. He was over 18 though because he was held back a year because of the whole murdering Claudia/prison thing. *Candy was her stage name because of course.

I was in a deep GH depression due to VM leaving a few months earlier and thought Abby just disappeared. But, no, her and Michael were still an item. And they killed her off months later. I think it's because the actress was in her mid 30's and Michael was still supposed to be a teenager. The actress looked really young though, but she was also hired by Sam to sleep with Michael after his prison rape so it's real weird. But she wasn't a prostitute. Just doing Sam a solid. The character of Abby is just a wild ride.

Anyway, it's an awfully elaborate plan for Franco to just kill a random stripper Michael was dating 🤷‍♀️ Jake's still alive so no one actually murdered him. Was Franco even around back then? I thought his last hurrah (James Franco) was blowing up the limo at Sonny and Brenda's wedding and almost killing Sam and making her deaf for 6 episodes. ETA-totally forgot James Franco was around for Jason/Sam's honeymoon and all that "fun", so i guess he was still a thing.

Well, damn. That throws out my idea of a Sly/Lucky pairing lol. So Bill/Luke are cousins? Why was the show randomly testing Bill/Bobbie then? Or maybe I just imagined that.

Franco did it? I don't recall that. She was not in PC at the time so was he just hoping Abby would walk by an open construction site so a random worker could lose control of the crane at exactly the right time? Actually, thinking about GH in that time period that it's probably exactly how the show explained it lol.

Yeah, and we only heard a one sided phone call from Michael's end. Poor girl didn't even appear again to film her death. It was so hilarious I will never forget it.

Abby got killed by a crane off screen. The actress and character weren't appearing much and I guess they fired her because she was on the phone with Michael and something fell off a crane and she died. I am not making this up. Michael went somewhere to scatter her ashes and everything. I believe it was that weird writing period post Guza when Garin Wolf took over and before RC.

I kind of like it. Met Gala outfits are always OTT. I think it's cooler that her husband owns Ray Ban. So many free sunglasses! When she was on America's Next Top Model her whole story was about her being married and having a child at 17. I am going to assume this isn't the same man lol.

I actually think Scott Clifton is much better looking than Chad, but your point is spot on. I think it makes sense his character is bratty with his upbringing, but Michael is a very stagnant character. I would give the character a long break and probably recast. It doesn't help that CD has no romantic chemistry with anyone. His best pairing was Abby the stripper and she got killed by a crane off screen.

I mean, where is he going to go? He's the most vanilla, blandest actor on the planet right now. It's basically a dog fight between Willow, Sasha, and Michael on who can be the most boring. Michael has enough history to be a bit more exciting, but CD looks bored 99% 100% of the time so the chips just fall where they do.

I'll be honest, I thought CD was a total find in 2010. I liked DG's RAGE monkey Michael but I thought CD and his cute puppy face was such a good take on the role. Then like 14 years happened and I don't feel the same.

He's not a bad looking guy and if I met him in real life I would think he was really handsome I assume. He is so played out and I think that really affects perspective because I do eyeroll him ever time I see him. But also CD was a hottie in the early 2010 era.

Chad Duell isn't my type or anything and he did gain some weight. I hate Michael and everything, but I still think he's attractive. I hate his actual character not his looks😂
