  1. I thought Laura/Stefan were a pretty good pairing too. GF/SN had decent chemistry. I obviously knew it was an obstacle for L/L and they would reunite eventually, but TG/GF already seemed to be tiring of one another by then. I am going to assume Mansi doesn't know a ton about Kristina's history. Kristina was almost blown up in a car bomb meant for Johnny a decade ago. LA's Kristina pretended to be with Johnny just to get a reaction out of him. She's pretty wise to Sonny's volatility. We can assume Kristina thought Sonny had changed, but I feel like Mansi played as if it was the first time she's ever seen violence out of Sonny. I don't think Mansi did a bad job. I just don't think she understands that Kristina's childhood and young adult life has been littered with instances of Sonny's mob related violence.
  2. Is GH even trying to go for a younger viewer? Soap operas are the least progressive medium and I don't think they were trying to follow a trend. I agree that the big wedding was just because there was literally no one else to give it to. Plus, add Lois in and you had to give her something to do I suppose. Right? I don't even want a Brook Lynn/Chase love scene, but that was weird. I am sure it happens in real life being just so exhausted from a wedding and all, but I have never seen it happen on a soap.
  3. Lol! They didn't even appear to have sex on their wedding night? Brook lynn got into her huge robe and jammies and it looked like they just talked, ate, and cuddled. Like wtf?
  4. I am glad I read this thread before I started the episode. Violet in the opening scene then Brook Lynn in a huge bathrobe on her wedding night almost made me tune out. Is the show behind because of pre-emptions? It seems weird to kill off a character on a Monday. Also, Jason running after Sonny and calling Carly instead of helping bloody Dex made me laugh for some reason.
  5. OMG! Violet has a mother. Just send her to Hayden. At this point even if religion does play into it-Brook Lynn and Chase are married. They can do a few make out scenes and have their sheets up to their chest. GH's love scenes have been tame for years. To me Chase/Brook Lynn don't even imply sexiness. Some couples are hot even without any extended love scenes. They are not lol.
  6. They both can "dip out" or leave basically.
  7. Fixed it for you! It's not cute or precocious or anything it's supposed to be. It's an obnoxious child singing while every other adult actor in the room has to pretend like it's amazing.
  8. AS has never really found her place as BLQ, IMO. She was quite charismatic and charming in other roles, but I kept waiting for it to happen on GH. It hasn't and I will just say dump her as well at this point.
  9. Yup. I can see drawing a line at nudity or something like that, but GH's love scenes are mostly tame af. It's not like it's OnlyFans or something. If your teenage children can't understand that acting is fictional then you have more issues with parenting than a few chaste kisses and rolling around on some sheets on camera lol. Great American Family or whatever should have AS and JS on speed dial. That feels like a good place for them.
  10. I don't see anything in their comments that imply it has a religious base. It absolutely could, but I am just going off the actors comments and religion isn't mentioned at all. They are just saying they don't want their kids to see their love scenes in 13 years. Which 1. AS and JS would be lucky if their GH clips are on you tube in 13 years lol 2. You could just tell your teenage children it's fake and part of your job at that point lol. I am sure a 15 year old or whatever could grasp that. It's all weird. I am not knocking anyone's beliefs or standards, but find a job better suited to your needs then?
  11. IIRC, Setton said her modesty was out of respect to her husband and neither her nor Josh wanted to do love scenes. I don't think I even heard religion come into the discussion (although I am sure that plays a part). It was a bit of a strange take because Amanda and her husband had to realize her income comes from being a soap actress and it generally requires love scenes. I do wonder if AS's weight gain after having her kids has affected her wanting to do love scenes as well. I don't want to appear like I am bashing her or anything, but these buttoned up looks seemed to appear once she came back from maternity leave.
  12. Sonny was still propped, but I thought Carly did have moments of introspection especially during her eat, pray, love journey to Florida. Not sure if that was strike material though lol.
  13. UGH. Nina is so much better off without Sonny. Walking on eggshells near tears all the time did not suit CW as an actress at all. I mean, all Drew has to do is tell the town of PC/state of New York he once dated Carly. I imagine citizens of upstate New York would just nod and say "checks out" and move along. I assume even nameless PC residents are wise to Carly's antics at this point lol.
  14. It's so much better than watching Nina beg Sonny for forgiveness or watch Drew with Carly.
  15. I miss JMM 🥲 I agree with you guys that Tate might be the most unrealistic teen. He is way too nice considering everything he went through. He forgave Holly in about a minute. You would think going to jail and then a halfway house (?) or whatever it was would have harden him a bit.
  16. Drew also was convicted of a non-violent crime. Insider trading probably isn't a great look for a politician, but it feels like something I can overlook. I don't find anything Aurora (sp?) does to be very interesting so I am for it. Drew and Nina really were the winners during PM's brief stint. Most interesting pairing on the show right now and I basically hate both of them lol.
  17. The abruptness of his departure makes me think PM quit. I have no idea if that's true, but I honestly don't even think he was HW long enough to get fired lol.
  18. I honestly think if Holly had a better reason to be angry at Nicole her reactions would be at least understandable. Obviously no one should speak to their mother like she did, but it makes it worse that Holly's hill to die on is going to prom. Comparing her pretty decent childhood to Nicole's physical and sexual abusive one is just absolutely clueless. I am glad the show is giving Holly some edge although at this point she is coming off bratty, vindictive, and petty. A few scenes with Marlena didn't help her much IMO. I don't find Holly very root able and I think Tate certainly deserves better.
  19. I think the show would have been better served to show real class differences between Chase/Brook Lynn. As it is Chase is from an upper, white middle class family and Brook is from a wealthy, white class family. It's not much difference. Neither would starve if Chase lost his job. And he can moonlight as a "singer" if it all falls apart anyhow. It's all bland. If PM was responsible for that I believe that was the best thing brought to the show recently. It made me at least interested in two characters that I had no patience for.
  20. Agreed. I feel like I know nothing about what PM could have done because nothing happened. I have been a pretty vocal detractor of the show only because I wanted some movement. It's definitely the most bizarre head writing stint in recent history and I can't tell you anything about it except Sasha became a cook lol. I know PM had ideas and stories I just wish we got to see one. Chase/Brook Lynn are just there. They are mostly inoffensive, easy to watch, pleasant, but boring as hell. I am sure they would be a delightful couple to know in real life. I don't want my soap couples to be people I would know in real life. I need drama, sexiness, obstacles, passion, high emotions, etc. Brook Lynn and Chase's big obstacle was if Gregory was going to croak mid ceremony and some concern about Brook Lynn being rich. ZZZZZZZZZZZZZ.........................
  21. Oh, it's bizarre. You would think she would have exited with him. That's why I assume she probably isn't problematic because it would have been very easy to fire her with him. It tends to make me think perhaps she distanced herself from him or the marriage. But I don't know this woman at all so no idea.
  22. Yeah, the craziness and BTS stuff helps for sure.
  23. I think there are just more GH fans on this board than any other soap. I don't watch Y&R or B&B, but Days only has the same 5 or 6 posters on the thread.
  24. It's extremely awkward. As far as I can tell she was never under investigation. I would assume Days would have fired her at the same time if she was problematic as well. If Alan Alarr treats his employees like that I can only imagine how he treats his wife. But that doesn't mean she is bad at her job. I don't notice her writing to be worse than anyone else's. Yesterday's show was pretty good. I just don't think we know enough about her personally to judge her.
