Well, to be fair, there is zero callback to Sunset Beach because of this 😂 I think it's very hard to put a handful of scenes with two actors that have no actual character history and make it spark. They have personal history to build on, but very little else.

They eventually moved to the living room, but the actual reveal took place in the doorway of the mansion and they stayed there for several scenes.

This might be something that only bothered me, but I thought the Eric/Nicole/EJ scenes lacked some impact because most of it was done in a small doorway. The emotions almost felt like they had to be subdued because the actors were all packed into such a small space. No one could move really lol. I think Sloan also should have been a part of it and it should have been more public.

Chase/Brook Lynn also had pre-marital sex and lived together before marriage. Is that against their beliefs as well? Brook Lynn faked an out of wedlock pregnancy after a 1 night stand. Is that something you need to explain to your children too? Again, their beliefs are theirs and that's fine it just seems more specifically about love scenes than other actions their characters do that aren't modest and sometimes even illegal lol. I assume it's BTS stuff. I tried really hard to understand Anna's motivation the other day and her explanation didn't really make sense to me. Why on earth should anyone protect Sonny at this point?

I don't even really get the concept. I can't recall every project Setton and Swickard have done, but I am assuming they have both done love scenes previously. That work would theoretically be out there for their kids to find, so they could still potentially be embarrassed? It would be hilarious if one day they both had to tell their kids they were canned because they refused to love scenes out of respect for them though. 1. Agreed 2. Idk. On screen they don't come off well matched or share a great bond, but in interviews they seem to have a good rapport. I know that means nothing because it's a professional interview. I just think their off screen interactions seem more believable than their on screen ones.

At the very least we got some good character work from Kayla calling out the Brady family on their favoritism and upbringing.

Again, if BLQ/Chase clips are still on the internet in 13 years I would be shocked! It is funny to imagine their kids finding the clips and realizing how boring their parents are though. I do agree with @Vee that it was loosely implied they had sex between episodes. I just can't imagine being a fan of this pairing and being happy with them not getting a wedding night with a love scene or a honeymoon.

While I do think Shayla was out of convivence in some ways due to SN leaving and Kim casting issues in other ways I think it was a bold idea. It was executed poorly and MBE and CS didn't have much chemistry, but there were a lot of different beats to play with the pairing. Having the two 'calmer' and less 'messier' sides of another supercouple pairing come together combined with Kayla's feelings of always being considered the lesser sister as well as both Shane/Kayla knowing they had already found their 'great love' is an interesting concept at least. I know the pairing is universally reviled and I am the only one even mildly defending it though. I could just see the pitch of the idea being intriguing. I personally would have went with Kayla/Marcus though. That probably would have been a one way ticket to the backburner for Kayla unfortunately lol.

He could. He definitely could. 😂 You could easily use Tina for her name. Not the most common nickname for Kristina but a pretty easy fix. Agree about those characterizations for both characters.

Gives Dante something to do when Sam leaves. Personally, I don't think Lulu is a terribly hard part to play. GH may have missed in the past (even though I didn't mind JMB in the end), but I have to imagine there are plenty of blonde actresses out there that could play the role. I am horrible at fantasy casting though. I would just take my time to find someone and cast a wide net. It's not like Lulu and her coma are going anywhere lol.

I wouldn't kill off Lulu either. I would just find someone suitable to play her especially if we are getting rid of Sam in our cut lists. Sidenote from todays show about something super unimportant- Why did Molly need to come up with a nickname for the term Domestic Partner for TJ? Just call him your partner like every other normal human does? Does GH even know anything about relationships that aren't marriage lol? It was such unnatural dialogue presented by a very unnatural actress.

That's totally fair. A lot people seem to agree with you about JS too. Anyway, I do get your point about the scenes not flowing very well, but I still thought they were good. It was all done quite quickly and I think the scenes could have been better fleshed out over two episodes.

The baby was enormous, but totally adorable lol. I still don't think JS is that bad. She did decent today. I wasn't cringing with any of her choices. I was a bit worried about GV. His face was so red when he was screaming at Sloan.

I absolutely get your point. Topical issues have never been Days strong suit, so I am not surprised. Also, Jude was played by a real life baby today. How exciting!

I am pretty confident the baby will end up "fine" or without too many long lasting issues so I don't feel terribly invested in it. I think RB is doing really well with the material and I wish she was given a bit more to do.

I also think people (including myself) with these long lists of cuts have ideas of who to bring back or bring in. So while it seems like the canvas would be entirely empty there is also a list of potential characters to replace those dumped.

Good episode! It was weird Holly text Nicole because she's grounded so you would assume she would be home. Ha! Ron and/or DH must have googled DID like I did because Marlena said the same thing I did yesterday about DID being rare and misdiagnosed. I guess I should be getting my medical license shortly lol. Sloan/Eric and Nicole/EJ were of course the highlight. I really am not into the Johnny/Chanel story. I am glad they have something to do, but I don't find it terribly interesting.

I wasn't either. Sprina was fine. I never got the hype though. I actually thought the first Trina and Chavez had more chemistry. I would still keep Trina and Portia and dump the rest of the family. I still think they have untapped potential. And I don't see why you couldn't have both and add more Wards.

See, I think I would hate Joss less if she was an overtly bad person. At this point she's subtly awful, but we aren't supposed to think that. Weird hill to die on when BRS has literally recently returned to GH and said she would like to continue. The entire take that she's retired is made up lol. Forgot about Steven Lars. Matt really got a raw deal. I still don't know how him killing psycho Lisa was not self defense.

I mean, I already hate Joss so it couldn't be worse for me lol. I think Eden does better work when she's bitchy. I really don't find her endearing now, so I think if the show just went with her as a vixen or bad girl it would work more to her strengths. Joss being the best and brightest doesn't work now. She did an interview less than a year ago saying she wanted to go to college in California so she could continue to appear on GH There is nothing anywhere about her wanting to retire. Just that she was planning on going to nursing school as well. That's fair. You could probably recast Patrick then.

That would be where I would take Joss and I think Eden could play that just fine. I think you could easily say Emma was going to PCU and staying with Anna or Robert. I could see just avoiding the Robin/Patrick situation for now even if GH/FV wants both back. BRS was around long enough for viewers to be attached to her without her parents.

My hot take is I would keep Joss over Michael lol. I loathe Joss, but I still feel she is much less played out than CD's Michael. He needs to leave town with his brood and be recast. I am fine with him coming back after a break though. I am assuming Gio who is in town for unknown reasons will be Trina's new love interest.

That actually seems wildly out of character for Lois, but it's not like the show has brought it up lately. That's a long list lol! I'd probably keep Trina and Kristina. I'd add Michael to my list. I am on the fence about Nina/Drew. If the pairing continues I say keep, but if the writing goes back to what it was pre-PM I'd cut them.
